Thanks for this cache, b&w - driving through to Reefton and pleased to find this cache on the way. A few small biting insects in the bush reminded me that I am on the Coast. All good with the cache.
Two days ago I travelled for the first time going between Springs Junction and Reefton and noticed there were quite a few caches along the way. So today I decided to try and sign off as many as I could. It was at the second base I checked..Cheers for the cache, bumandworker.
Another SI minute complete with the finding of this cache. Didn't take too long ot track it down. Thanks for the placement.TFTC bumandworker, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 5 today, making this find #4452
Heading on a wee family summers holiday.
On our way to Reefton for a couple nights (and then on to Westport for a few nights). Only stopping for the odd cache along the way.
Not too much traffic so easy enough to pull over and make the find and sign. Thanks.

Parking only possible going away from Springs, not coming back to it, so we swung around to stop and get this one.
Got it after a quick search.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks, bumandworker!

Has only been drizzling today and not at the moment so a great time to snag this cache in a cool spot. Thanks very much!
I had a bit of time on the way home, so decided to detour up this road, possibly for the first time. TFTC.
Considering I wasn’t gonna have much luck in the rain with my campfire I opted for dinner just down the road instead. Wasn’t that nice in the end and I shoulda just stuck to my original plan. Odd thing happened though. A man was having trouble getting a clear cell signal on 2degrees ( no surprises there ) so I let him use my phone. He was calling for a lift home after blowing the motor in his car. We were going in opposite directions and I was camping the night nearby anyway. He scored himself a ride home and offered me his now useless car...I did think about it! About 30min later I found this cache and it was a nice surprise. Thanks bumandworker. I signed it back under the rear hatch of the truck.
Out on a 2 car road trip to Reefton. Log signed with team name of Hawkes Harem. TFTC.
On a road trip to Reefton with busy paws, lyttteltonwitch and Geomum007 we are signing logs as Hawks Harem. Thanks for the cache bumandworker.
It’s a few years since I last drove this road and there’s now a whole lot of caches to find along it. No problems with this one - signed log, TFTC.
Out and about over the Easter weekend grabbing some caches as I head to Christchurch via the west coast. Thank you for placing all these wonderful caches out for me to find. Had fun looking in, under , around and behind to find them. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. Your caches made the trip a lot more interesting with some adventure thrown in. TFTC
On a west coast road trip with the kids and niece hkbrom94 (over from England ) showing her the best of what nz has to offer .

A quick find and sign, then when replacing in its hidey hole the container fell out of sight into a deep hole.
Put my whole arm in and couldn't feel it. A very big, deep hole!
Poked around with a long Branch and somehow managed to hook the container back into sight. Phew, was worried for a few minutes.
Threw several rocks and sticks into the hole, then built a platform for the container and covered with natural camo.
Be careful when returning the container folks.

One the road to Westport. With a few hours up my sleeves it was park n grabs between passing rain showers.
Plenty of room to pull over and grab this one so all good and replaced as found.

Heading along a fresh stretch of SH7 not travelled before, but all good - I've got the details in my G P S haven't I? Oh wait, I haven't. Luckily I'd got an offline list on the phone so cached my way to Reefton by phone with some careful battery conservation, and even more careful driving. Only missed teh 2, DNFs, so a good haul for this phase of the trip. A real mix n match of containers along this route too.
Easter weekend 2018 is here and I have a cunning plan. Well, a caching plan, but what's the difference? With mrs and daughter working over the weekend and me with a few days off work there was a chance to convert some of my solved puzzles over on the West Coast into smiley faces. And add to my West Coast caching total. And do the Point Elizabeth walk, and several other appealing strolls. And some other stuff and all the way along gaining extra points for the planetary Challenge thingy to gain some electronic 2D Geo-souvenirs. And so, setting off around 0730 on Easter Sunday with the trusty mountain bike aboard (for the Greymouth beach-side track) I clocked up just under 1000 kms by road, a few extra on 2 wheels and several more on 2 feet, quite the trip. The threatened rain only arrived on the second afternoon in Hokitika (by which time I'd done my walks for the day) and the drive back from Greymouth via Westport was in blazing Autumn sunshine - Beautiful. Fantastic scenery all around and a large number of caches from b&w and gracie7&mum helped the total to just over 180 finds.
An awesome few days which my family wouldn't have enjoyed, but conversely actually would have, for the most part. An FTF in Reefton on the way through on Day 1 was another bonus, and monkey off the back for the monthly streak. A few DNFs which is to be expected with that many looked for, but a lot of good sights and experiences too. Thanks to all the COs for their placements.

This was our first visit to the South Island and I'd assembled quite a list of caches to get. This one was picked up while passing through and I've still got a lot of driving to do so can't linger too long. The cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and straight forward placement. Cheers bumandworker, TFTC
Found with StreetWalker on our week long post Christmas trip to Reefton and the West Coast. Great to travel in some cooler temperatures after the heat of this past month. Not too busy on the roads either, thanks to the newly re-opened SH1 north of Kaikoura.
It's been many years since we have been on this road, so we were looking forward to the trail of caches along here. Not an instant find, as the GPSrs took a while to settle, but SW did the deed. TFTC.

#14966. This was our first trip along the Springs / Reefton section of SH7 in a long time, which means lots of caches to find! Didn't take long to get to the first of them. TFTC.
A big day planned so we were up early and away. A quick find here - but not in the first place we looked. Thanks bumandworker
Cracking day.........heading to Christchurch and on to Otago....need a rest break and the bush is dry. Located cache quite quickly, all safe and sound, snug as a bug in a container...thanks again guys.
Dad located a few caches, while on a mission to pick up his new (second hand) kayak.

Its Easter & have teamed up with The Seagnoid & Zara, for a magical mystery tour, exploring the amazing West Coast. Monday, and after a sleepover and early start from Aorangi Senic Reserve, we are heading home. Skipping Reefton caches, as the Seagnoid says "we will be back" and head towards to Springs Junction.
Good size treasure box here but no treasure for me to find. Cheers.

On a big Easter caching mission with ZaraBus and TaybeeDragon. Lots of crawling through mines, climbing hills, walking through bush. And yet we only covered a tiny bit of the West Coast, between Greymouth and Hokitika. On the way home now, and taking the long way between Reefton and Murchison.
Our second cache of this name. I guess these two caches mark the limits of the forest.

Our last stop for a long weekend of caching. GPS led me straight to the spot despite overhead interference.
I'm currently hitchhiking my way around the world and geocaching everywhere I go. My first stop was in Ireland where I spent a couple weeks touring the country. I then flew to London and spent a couple weeks touring the United Kingdom. From there I made my way through the tunnel and up to Amsterdam and then back down to Belgium. After that I headed for France. Then from there I headed to Portugal for a mega event that was happening. After that I headed for Denmark to attend another Mega event. I then made my way North into Sweden and then even further North to Norway. After that I proceeded to work my way back down South through Finland and then ferry hopped my way through a few of the islands to arrive back in Sweden. Next I made my way to Germany for another Mega event and then back to the Netherlands for still another mega event before heading for Luxembourg. After that the next stop along my journey was Switzerland. I then made a quick detour up to Belgium to grab a July 2000 geocache I had overlooked before making my way to Croatia passing through Austria and Slovenia along the way. After that my route took me East to Serbia and then through Romania into Moldova. I then couldn't resist going North and crossing into the Ukraine. After that I began heading South passing through Romania once again. I then passed through Bulgaria as I raced for Turkey in order to catch a flight to Australia timing it so that I could attend a mega event happening there. After that I made an extensive 2 month tour through all 8 states of Australia before flying over to the North Island of New Zealand. I then gradually worked my way south to Wellington and took the ferry over to the South Island. I then continued hitchhiking my way around the South Island via Blenheim, Murchison, Spring Junction, Leithfield Beach, the bypass around Christchurch to Ashburton, Dunedin, Brighton, Bluff, Queenstown, Danseys Pass, and then Christchurch airport.
Thank you so much for placing this geocache!

On our holiday headed to reefton we had to do some caches of course. TFTC from Holland
Found after initially misreading the GPS and looking around the wrong tree.. found it eventually. On the drive back south after a couple of days with the family in Golden Bay. TFTC (2631)
#602 A nice cache on our NZ drive.
Today we found a total of just under 60 caches, breaking our record of caches in a day. we saw many beautiful sights and visited many nice places, New Zealand is full of these. We drove up from Greymouth to Punakaiki and across to Hanmer Springs. A long day with a lot of driving but it was definitely worth it.
Thanks to all the hiders for their caches, without you we would not be able to find these caches and some of these great spots.
All logs were signed wherever possible. Some logs were full or waterlogged and this prevented us from logging them.

Heading east from Greymouth to Kaikoura today (via Lewis pass and the inner road), I was happy to make some cool finds
Tooo many caches at the roadside - so a pre-selection had to be made [B)] Well done!
Each and every cache on the list turned out to be a lucky "Find" - awesome!!!
Thanks to the passionate owners for these cute caches at awesome sites along the road [^] - and cheers from Germany!

A rabbit got one heck of a fright when I suddenly appeared. It was busy grazing and obviously hadn't noticed me parking a little further down the road. An instant find. You've gotta have some of those . TFTC .
The first one on the Rahu saddle trip, a nice gentle cache to start the trip. Cheers
Third stop on a trip to Reefton for some mountain biking and caching. Nice quick park and grab. TFTC.
On a quick trip over to the Coast to visit my parents and as it was the first time I have travelled alone for a long time I couldn't resist grabbing as many caches as I could amongst the rain and wind. Great little series along the Rahu has always called to me but usually had sleeping babies in the car. Thanks for the hide.
This is a really nice spot but it took a while and three up and down the road bypasses. The GPS decided to throw a wobbly and didn't want to be my friend here and lead us on a merry chase ( well maybe not so merry). Finally I decided it must be at a particular place despite the GPS telling me it was nearly 300 metres away. I was wrong but it was pretty close. TFTC #5924
Caching with only the iPhone without any service!! So we were kind of guessing, but PB got there in the end.
Lovely spot for a cache. Small native robin very curious and sitting within a few inches of me as I sign the log. Very cute....

Needed to make a find on the way home from Christchurch for our streak. Tried the one at the junction but no joy there so a slight detour to pick this one up. I'll be back for some more soon I'm sure.

#6 of 28 for the day! All 28 were done by Mrs Rincewind3 without the rest of the team as we were at home with EQC repair stuff to sort out. Mrs R was on a road trip to Reefton and down the Coast through Mahinapua and back to Christchurch and a hot bath! Many thanks to the caching buddy, too.

Today was a day for a big drive and loop out from Nelson to Springs Junction, Reefton, Inangahua and back. No problems finding this one. Nice big container too. TFTC, Biggles.
A quick grab along the new series of caches along the Inungahua R between Reefton and Spring Creek in fine weather conditions. TFTC
A detour on our regular pilgrimage to the Coast to see family during the school holidays was decided on to mop up and bag some new placements. Notwithstanding the forecast of frosty roads and snow we set out and lucked it. This one proved to be one of the easier ones and helped to ease us into the "Rahu Run"... A fav for the run and making us travel this way again after many, many years.
Some recently published caches gave us an excuse to detour through Springs Junction on our way to the coast today. This was one of the easier finds on the trail. TFTC.
