I am usually in this area in the day time when it is quite busy but today it was 20:13 and raining so a small detour was in order. GPSr was a little off but a quick find all the same. Date stamped &signed log. Visited some TBs. Thanks for the cache nicpohl

Found at 12:08
Out to pick up some lunch I wanted a cache close to home to keep my streak going. I'd been past this one a couple of times but this is a busy spot so I always kept driving. With the rain keeping muggles away this was the perfect cache for today and although the GPS want behaving, I was able to find the cache pretty quickly.
Thanks nicpohl for the cache.

What a nice spot, I had to wait for a group of dog walkers to walk past, before I could return it.
Also the man from the silver gate be hide came out for a sticky beak too.

thanks MAOH [:x]

Out today with the main aim of doing some cache maintenance and also hoping to grab a few that we would be going passed. There were quite a few muggles making use of the area today as well as a few push bikes but again patience won and we were adding our name to the log
Thanks for the cache.

Out with my sister after 3 finds in the city with her daughter. Quiet wee spot, nice not to be looking over my shoulder constantly after 3 city finds!

I dropped by this cache after a yummy lunch down the road. When I turned into the carpark I didn't hold out much hope of finding the cache as there was a huge amount of parked cars around the oval and near GZ. On closer inspection they didn't appear to actually have people in them. Surprised

I sat in the car for a few minutes contemplating my next move when all of a sudden it was mayhem: it was kiddie pick-up peak hour! Razz Parents with kids started hopping in their cars - mainly 4WDs of course. Soon the carpark was nearly empty so I wandered over to GZ. After a very brief search I found the well-hidden cache and signed the log at 3:40pm. TNLN.

Thanks nicpohl for the nice cache and the interesting experience. What I learnt today was that I must pick my caching times a bit better because in geocaching "timing is everything"! Wink

01-Sep-13
Beware of strange dudes walking up to you while searching for this one ... unless that dude is youngnils returning the same cache you are searching for! I think only the third time we've bumped into another geocacher. TFTC

While about to return this cache, I noticed a dodgy looking trio heading my way so I stooged around for a while as they went past. But they didn't go past at all! Then this group started to furtively scratch around the cache area too! Ah - ha - not dodgy at all but FELLOW CACHERS!! As I walked in their direction, they stopped and pretended to "smell the roses" but when I said "Is this what you are looking for?" all reservations dropped. It was great to come across fellow enthusiasts. Thanks MAOH.

Dom and Lachie found this geocache!! I never knew that this geocache would be right near Blackburn footy club!!!

25-Aug-13
Doing a short run of caches close to home. JMelb and MMelb were at home. Being Sunday there was no-one around and no sport was on so I was able to go directly to GZ. The GPS was spot on and at Gz the cache was quickly found. Thanks nicpohl

Quick find while out getting a few munzees on a grey old saturday afternoon. Thanks for the traditional hide, to continue the streak!

23-Aug-13
Drove to this one last Sunday to find the park absolutely full at a football match...and kept on driving to other caches. This afternoon, there were many cars in the car park, but no people on foot anywhere near GZ. As I was pressed for time to collect an August 23 souvenir, I was very grateful to find this one today. Thanks nicopohl (and Max, Ashlee, Olivia and Harry).

19-Aug-13
Well, after a cold and frankly miserable day things didn't get much better for me after attempting (and failing dismally) at a new cache, I discovered that not only were my batteries running out from the day before, but I had neither spares, not most of my wet weather gear with me!... So to get my cache for my daily find for the 19th Day of Geocaching souvenir, I had to resort to collecting one of my emergency caches (this one) which under better conditions I had visited with the sole purpose of pinpointing the hide, but not touching it - to keep a reserve for just such a day...
Walking to GZ, I had a couple of muggles nearby to evade (one conveniently kept walking away, but the other stopped and back-tracked towards me - I almost wondered if they may be a cacher too - but thankfully kept going) so after a short delay I doubled-back to make a quick grab and then log-logged before another quick replacement and headed back to the car before the next lot of rain swept through. Date: 12 August 2013
Time: 8:57am
Find # 3081
Streak: 12 days

I had an early morning dentist appointment nearby in blackburn, so after that, I was determined to continue my caching streak. This was a tough spot for searching on a school morning, but I just sat and waited for the coast to be clear and as soon as it was, it didn't take too long for the cache to be found. A nice spot.

Thanks to nicpohl for the cache. TNLN

A nice easy, quick cache, but also a nice nostalgic cache for me... Both because it was a simple, traditional hide in a local park - reminding me of my early days of caching. But this was also part of my semi-regular walk/jog loop when I worked at the Salvos HQ, not far from here. Spent a lot of time walking and thinking around here, both alone and with friends, so it's very memorable for me.

For that reason (and for the cache of course!) thanks for giving me an excuse to come back here. Thankfully the park was fairly quiet so could find the cache in relative peace, only spooked by the gate slightly open just near GZ.

TNLNSL TFTC nicpohl.

08-Aug-13
Nice easy cache!

07-Aug-13
Out on lunch break for my daily August cache. Found nice and easily with no muggles around then settled into the car to finish my Hungry Jacks. TFTC.

06-Aug-13
This was the first of a few while on the way to work this morning. I was initially at the wrong 'subject' of the hint but a slight move south soon had me with the stash in hand at 08:35. I did have to time my retrieval and replacement between the parade of passing school bound muggles.

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks nicpohl.

Came by after work for a quick find.

01-Aug-13
Nice quick find on an outing with geodog. Day 1 of August challenge complete:-) left couple kiddie swaps. Tftc.

01-Aug-13
On my way home from work this was a easy swing by pick cache. The area was busy with the local football club training, people walking their dogs and cars everywhere. Glad its not the weekend. Needed to widen my search a little.
Thanks for the cache nicpohl

I needed a cache for my Project366 and had left it quite late. I suspected that I might have a chance at getting this cache and after a bit of looking around the cache was found. I then had to go back to the car to sign the log because my pen wasn't working! Signed log but didn't swap anything.

Thanks for the cache nicpohl.

26-Jul-13
Geoson and I decided we would take advantage of the fine weather and try to get a few. This was number one on the list. A short walk up the path and we were at GZ. Geoson made the retrieval and we found a seat to sit on while we signed the log. Cache was returned and we headed off to our next find. TFTC.

As always, another fantastic night caching with the The Demolition Crew. Tonights run saw us heading in a northerly direction. A few puzzles found, and some cold weather, including a bit of rain, but it did not deter us. Great to be back in action after a little break with Rebel overseas. Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their hides.

Nice and quick with no muggles aout at this time. TFTC.

23-Jul-13
Found on a TDC run, lots of laughs and good times had while out finding caches, I had been away in England so it was good to be back out with my caching mates finding some plastic. The weather was a bit chilly and wet but you have to expect that this time of year. Thanks nicpohl for the cache.

23-Jul-13
Found this cache during a TDC Monday night cache run.
The Demolition Crew (TDC) headed out tonight for a north eastern cache run. As usual fun was had by all of us with plenty of laughs and good variety of multi, puzzle, trads and also an earth cache found. We did plenty of walking and drving and even some tree climbing. We were lucky only to get caught in the rain on a couple of occasions and as I headed home after the night was over it was pelting down so it seems we finished just in time.
Thanks to all the CO's who placed and maintain the caches found.

23-Jul-13
Another great night out with The Demolition Crew saw us moving north. After a short break while Eric was in the UK, it was back to it tonight with a few puzzles to find. The weather was cold, and occasionally wet, but great fun was had by all. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. At this time nobody about made fro a quick unhindered find. This can be a very busy spot during the day and evenings.

Needed a milestone cache find on my Wifes birthday. Find 2,100 tftc took TB Make this a Fav as i played Footy here back in 1970,s Second to sign as well! Thought more people would have found this one by now? Maybe the cool weather is keeping cachers indoors.

I just got in from work to find in my email a cache only 700 meters away and still no one having logged it as found just yet. So quickly connected my GPS to the computer to download all the info and off on my bike i raced.

Oh wow it is great to see a fresh unsigned log book sitting there. A nice little hide and i am loving what they have done with the garden and playground around here. A lot of work has gone into it.

Thanks for the local cache.

Also i dropped off Golden Horns TB for the next to find.
