My son has lost interest and is not maintaining his geocaches so I have disabled them
Like many other Penguin ones this seems to have gone missing. I received an email for CO mother when I queried Penguin 7 "I feel really bad about this. It's my sons geocache and he's lost interest. He's not checked on them in months. I tried to pass them on but unless i find someone to take them over i have to just remove them, which seems a shame. "
What a great little hiding spot! Thanks for the walk... was a lovely day in the sunshine.
Found this one in fading light at 5:20pm after poking my hand around here and there.

Find #3922
Streak: 314 days
My usual day in this area on the way to the Donnie for a bit of trivia. After a DNF at the other nearby Penguin, I headed here where after a bit of prodding and poking the cache was eventually found, not where it was expected based on the hint. The CO may want to check this as it is rather exposed in it's current position.
Thanks to 3rddoncaster for placing this cache.

A day off to recover from the last few days work. So i check the maps to see where i needed to find caches close to home and more of the series has been posted since i was last out here. So i jumped on my bike and headed out between the storms.
Lots of different caches were found during the trip, Great styles and hides along the way with a nearly perfect success rate. Only the road crew working were able to stop me. Thanks for all the hides.

Nicely hidden cache in a secure location even with recent local mulching.

Slink1 came over to see if caching was a possibility. Who can say no to a bit of caching? A great afternoon of trekking trails and parkland was the result. Thanks to all the cache owners for the care and effort they have taken with their caches. TNLN SL TFTC.

So it turns out I did find it last time! Pretty sure I looked at the paper then. In any event got it. TFTC.
Nice hiding implement but please get some water proof paper or try to water proof it in some way. Otherwise you will be back here with every wet day for maintenance. Tftc
Out tonight with PopTopPete for a midweek break to clear my head from work. Job done! TFTC
Found a copper pipe with some paper inside but no cache. Despite squeamishly feeling all around what we think is the perfect spot. Maybe I just have short arms?
We found this cache today at 3:55pm as #13 of 27 on our Tour de Pines Afternoon. Cache also missing as we had some fairly explicit instructions from a previous finder just to be sure. Left a replacement cache in place to keep this cache alive until the owner can check up on it. Thanks from D & H B-A.

Quick find but the cache was not in a great condition - also watch out for the neighbour who came out and gave me a look - lucky we had already signed the log.
Our thanks

Went to try for this one this morning but there were a couple of locals hanging around so I decided it was easier to leave it for another day.
Walked directly to GZ, but then had to feel around a while to locate the cache. Couple of dogs had left their calling cards nearby. TFTC
It was such beautiful weather today I decided to head out to find all the new penguin caches and some of the Team Yarra series around this area that I hadn't found yet.
Parked across Blackburn Rd and wandered across, no one around made the searching easy. I put my hand way too far into the hiding hole AFTER shining the iPhone torch in there first. Kept scarily feeling around and came up with the find, signed the log and carefully placed it back. Still haven't found amy penguins near these caches yet.
Thanks for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Out to grab a few caches late this afternoon after a weekend away.
Quick find but had to be a bit cautious about the overlooking windows.

Sorry guys - couldn't find my own cache to maintain it. Replaced it away from the bull-ants. Let me know if you find the original!
With all the rain today, I finished work early and decided to have a second look for a couple of caches that had previously beaten me. I read all the logs seeking some guidance, but all I got was that it was a tricky hide. Under no time constraints I was prepared to spend the time for an exhaustive search. It wasn't exactly where my gps device indicated, and I had looked in the spot a couple of times, but finally, with the use of a stick, I managed to find the little devil. tftc.

Finally found this one tonight. I had attempted this one a couple of times unsuccessfully before. I almost gave up again today and then read some of the previous logs and realised that it may be somewhere that I had looked before and there it was. I signed the log (which is still slightly damp) but didn't swap anything.
Thanks for the cache 3rddoncaster.

Found on our caching run of four caches. This was the fourth and final cache for the day.
We spent absolutely ages looking at all the possible places that matched the hint. There were o so many. It was a long and painful search which caused much head banging and sadness. It could be the beginning of a Shakespeare play just before every geocacher starts crying and having sword fights and speaking to the spirits of archived caches (see hamlet) and speaking to witches.
Well we were about to give up which was devastating us when suddenly we saw the cache. We assume it was in the wrong place as it was lying in the middle of the grass about ten metres away . Anyway we got out of our depressing mood, signed the log (which was saturated) and tried to put it where we thought it would be.
See my Needs Maintenance log for details.

P.S Random fact- my third cache with the word penguin in it.

Found it, great hide in a spot where a few locations trick you. Took nothing, left a penguin eraser
Got fooled by another spot that could have the location. Good use of Tom Riddle's diary as the cache logbook.
Managed to make this one a quick park and grab, out and about with Moosetash this afternoon just grabbing a few smilies. TFTC.
From the beer bottles lying around and the security camera signs on the fences, maybe this isn't one to do at night. Thanks for the cache.
Nice, quick little find after picking hubby Greysubmarine up after work.
Thanks!

After being picked up at work by Mrs G and Sarahg1994, we were on the way home when we decide to do this one. Park the GeoKorando at the top of the car park and took a quick walk to the GZ and had a quick find. Signed the log and returned the cache. Thanks for the cache guys, cheers
Parked in the nearby street and walked over,
Where are the footpaths around here?
A quick find and sign,
thanks 3rd Doncaster [:x]

Found this one at 08:05 while on the way to work this morning. It ended up being a relatively easy find in the second place I looked in this very pleasant little urban park.

Out on my own this afternoon after JMelb decided she would prefer a relaxing time at home. Saw a flash of colour which led me to this one. Thanks 3rddoncaster

Being mid-morning and midweek it was nice and quiet today in this little park. [^] I had a pleasant stroll to GZ and initially looked in a very obvious spot. At first I thought the cache had been muggled but then spotted the container in a less obvious and much better covered location. I signed the log at 10:20am and then returned the cache to its hiding spot. I took a lego man and left a silver slipper.
Thanks 3rddoncaster for the nice hide and different type of container and also for bringing me to another lovely little urban park.

A secluded little park, with a sneaky little hide. Well done, thanks 3rddoncaster
11.25 Finally get a Friday morning off to do some caching. There has been quite few popped up nearby since I have last been out.
Its great to discover the variety of parklands in my area. No play area here though just a green space. Nice easy find

Nice sunny day just right for caching. Unfortunately some of the contents had spilled giving this little hiding place away but never fear I picked up the spoils and hid it again. Thanks for the series slowly ticking them off.
As we approached through the streets we had a sense of deja vu but when we stopped the sense had left us. Had we found an earlier cache nearby, our memories fail us. Overcoming this distraction the cache was quickly found at 15:35. It was packaged better than a similar cache two finds earlier. TFTC
Found on a TDC run, lots of laughs and good times had while out finding caches, The weather was actually quiet mild tonight. Thanks 3rddoncaster for the cache.
One of 40 plus finds tonight on a big cache run with Trailrunning and Rebel Acts. We had no shortage of new caches to choose from tonight as well as some older ones we wanted to pick up along the way. The traffic at the beginning of the run slowed us down a little, as can be with city caching at this time of the evening, but once the peak hour rush had passed we made some really good time.
The weather was good for us once again, which was great as we had a couple of decent walks during the night. A nice variety of caches found with some multi's, puzzles and even a FTF to make for a great fun night of caching. Thanks to all the CO's who placed and maintain the caches we found.

Having seen the proliferation of new caches being published in recent weeks, we decided on a clear and relatively warm night to do a big cleanup loop around Melbourne collecting 40+ caches in the process. With so many new cachers coming into the game, there appears to be a surge in cache placements this year and it's hard to keep up. An unusual container that may not last. Thanks
Nice spot..easy find. Cache is jammed pack l stucked on a flapper.
This cache surprised me, l thought l have log all within 1 km from my house.

I left one of the animals on guard duty seeing the cache was so full. Thanks 3rdDoncaster.

I saw these published this morning but we were on our way to my eldest's footy match. After the game this one was still unfound so we headed across for a look.
We didn't find anything on the first pass so did a lap of the park checking everything before we came back and found out where we first thought.
We signed the blank log, made a swap and headed off home.
Thanks 3rddoncaster for the cache.
