Our car seemed very small as a large tractor with even larger harrows approached from the opposite direction. Thankfully there was enough room for us to pass in this narrow lane. Reasonably accurate coordinates led to a quick find. Unfortunately the container has deteriorated and in broken. In addition the log has been wet, has dried out and is now quite brittle. Maintenance is required as soon as possible. Thanks Needle in a... for the cache,
After having a great few days caching in the area with Earthbound Chief, micaparamedic and Becknmonts we went our separate ways. We decided to head across to Echuca to pick up the Lab caches and anything else that popped up on screen.
As we had found the other twenty three of this series many years ago we thought that we should make an effort to finish this series off and today was the day.
We were quite happy that we were able to locate each of the hides and finally add our name to the last log books. This has certainly been a long time coming but at least we made it.
Thanks Needle in a.... for the series.

Heading away for a few days caching and trying out some rough camping in a swag and OZREG's newly decked out 4WD ute. With no set plan but taking the opportunity to grab a few finds along the way as we weaved our way down the back tracks, heading down the great Murray River. Enjoyed the drive down the river and taking a few diversions along the way. Interesting to see the different agriculture, crops and landscapes along the way but if it wasn't for the river, it would be a very different story, as it is in the dry areas, further a field. We made some great discoveries, clever hides and generally enjoyed the caches we found, which took us to some interesting places, that we wouldn't probably see if it wasn't for caching. We had a few good laughs along the way.
We both headed into different directions to start making a search but OZREG quickly retreated, as he saw a large Eastern Brown snake, take off, just near GZ. I grabbed my walking stick and after a bit of a stomping, and a poke in a few holes, the container was located. We were sure that snake was long gone and far enough away, by now. This was the first of a few snake sightings today, but no others where near any caches. Pleased this was an easy find and retrieval.
Thanks Needle in a... for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Apology for generic log. With approx 70 Caches to log and not recalling details of many, the most important point I must stress is................. THANKS ALL CACHE OWNERS for their efforts, because if not for you, so many wonderful places would not have been encountered to appreciate. Our fantastic time would not have been either.
Happy Feet 1 and I had a wonderful 3 days (Oct 5-7) cache trekking around the Murray Region from Howlong to almost Barmah.
HF1 with her skills, dedication, and helpful retrieving devices made a significant addition to my cache tally.
I felt like a circus act a few times.
Despite us both having a conflicting trait or two, we thoroughly enjoyed each others company and had quite the success we were aiming for.
Even catching out a member not being truthful or honest to himself or others in regards to caching etiquette.
The period of camping certainly helped in defining all the areas of my camping vehicle that needed modifying or improving upon. Having the annex fall upon my companion was not something I was proud of. Pheeew!! No harm done.
Again, thanks to CO's.

School holidays yet again and we thought we'd stay the night in Echuca. It took us about 6 hours to get there from Maryborough and about 13 to get home.
A fun trip with only minimal rain, a handful of DNF's, some previous DNF's that are now smilies and 7 cache types found over the 2 days.

Quick find here - enjoying these ones.
Today was day 2 of a 2 day road trip with Team Clarmensma (GemmaSistema & becca85 and our 4 geokids - neisha07, AdamSistema, boo09 & LukeSistema). The Sistema crew left Echuca and caches our way via Moama, Barmah, Picola, Yambuna, Koyuga, Nanneella, Rochester, Burnewang, Elmore and Bendigo before heading home via Maryborough to drop off the 3 girls and finishing at home in Ballarat about 11pm. We had plenty of finds, a few DNFs and heaps of laughter and fun as we cached along back roads, through tiny towns, around and across across amazing rivers with stunning scenery wherever we went. Thanks so much for putting this cache out for us to find and enjoy. We really appreciate it.

I had planned to do them all but storm clouds and tea time put an early end to the day as I returned to Wakiti Creek Resort for tea.
Just in time, too, as my hosts had tea almost ready
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.

An afternoon amongst the alphabet: a fascinating area of Victoria we have not explored before. It was amazing to see the powerful effect of water provided for irrigation, from the Broken Creek, for both stock and pastures - see images.

Catching up with some late logs, therefore this unfortunately is going to be one of 'those logs'. I apologize in advance for the generic log, A combination of limited time and too many to log dictates that a generic log is best. I have enjoyed the hunt and being outdoors in this great country of ours, partaking in a pastime that I thoroughly enjoy. I usually head out by myself, but I thank those that have had the misfortune of my company in some of these ventures.

As it transpired this was our last of this delightful series in Picola and again a well placed good sized cache. A favourite for the series and we were sorry we had to quit and go home. Well done for all the caches, locations, commentaries and hints.
A nice easy find Today whilst out grabbing a few caches in the area signed log and on our way
I detoured along Lyles Road on me way out of Picola this morning
Such nice, well irrigated, farming scenery [^]
And next to one of the biggest crop circles in the area, I hopped out of the geomobile to have another go at finding this cache
It wasn't there last time I looked, but today, I had a cache find in under five minutes

As we pulled up for this cache we saw a promising place to start looking, so while Geoturtle37 set about taking more sunset pics (It was beautifully coloured.) I set off for the cache. After a brief search I spotted a possible sign, and closer inspection revealed the treasure we were seeking. With everything back in it's place I hustled Geoturtle back to the car, so that we could try and finish this series before it was completely dark. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

A beautiful day, so Bettyboo3747 and I drove over to do the Picola Kid's Alphabet. As it is a fair drive from here, we collected a few on the way over.
The tree that the GPSr was pointing to today has had a fair haircut on the road side. Not sure if this is why we couldn't find the cache , but we didn't locate any containers.
Thanks, Robmc.

Our only DNF for the Series which was disappointing. From a previous log stating "bright orange" I'm not sure how we could have missed it. The Christmas tree has been severely pruned so maybe the cache went with the trimmings.
One of fifty four caches found today during a cache run up north. Making my way through Euroa and then on into Shepparton to try and find the caches in the SGBR series. With not have much luck with that and spending a lot longer there than I wanted, I abandoned that after finding the fourth cache and a DNF on the fifth so I decided to head on up to Finley then back down to complete the Picola Kid's Alphabet series which was fun to do. A great day overall with only two DNF's and two first to finds as well.
I had a great time cruising around Picola finding the caches in the Picola Kid's Alphabet series. I didn't have any problems with muggles and only had trouble finding one of the tree hides. By the time I was half way through it had turned dark. Thanks for the caches and series Needle in a . . !
