Thought it might be replaced after owner comment but nothing here or likely to be in GZ area now.
Following all the construction work we need to get back out and check on this one. Next weekend
Was in the area and just walked back to the car parked here, so decided to come across and have a look while the kids decided who would sit where and next to who, sigh! Had a good look but since I was last here the construction clean up has pushed and moved a lot of the things around here about. May not have interfered with this hide but was not able to find anything.
This one's a goner. GZ used as construction rubbish pile. Unobstructed views from building site and many building muggles close by. Needs maintenance.
A full day's caching starting in the Pinnacle Nature Reserve then at Strathnairn. 39 finds and several DNFs. No sign of this one.
No luck with this one either, might have overlooked it. Was pressed for time.
Saturday 16 July 2016 - another magnificant clear blue Winter sky in the high teens with little or no breeze and plenty of flowing water underfoot, from recent rains, coming down from the surrounding hills. Found 10 from 10 caches in 2 hours over 5.6kms with good opportunities to photograph very large trees, good views over the Brindabella, many black yellow tail cockatoos at close range and great sculptures from the homestead at the centre of these caches. With many new high fences that needed to be navigated and careful not to cause damage them I kept feeling that I was continually trespassing onto private land and expecting to be stopped in my tracks at each crossing. Then read, after picking up the last cache, that the homestead and land around is all government owned - there was nothing to worry about. Should have read the cache description before setting out ) TFTC.
Heading to Canberra for our Grand Sons birthday today and decided to arrive super early so we could grab a cache or two. We brought our Geo hounds with us today and they enjoyed the trip also. This was one of a couple we had time to find. TFTC
I was feeling a little lethargic and it was such a gorgeous day outside...so that meant a mini mission around Strathnairn was in order to get me moving!
Another quick driveby before heading to the carpark to start the wander for the others. Watch the redback in residence under the camo when moving it!
Thanks for the hide, gecko1968

I had a couple of hours this morning - it was clear, cool and quite windy. I love a strong wind in my face so set out to see how many of these caches I could find. Thanks for this cachet gecko1968
A visit to Strathnairn today led us to this cache. We arrived a little late to visit the art gallery so will head back another time. Wed did enjoy looking around the area. Thanks for placing this cache gecko1968...we will be back to explore this trail more.

I was out here today mainly for the new Strathnairn series (even though they had all been FTFed last night). After finding my first Strathnairn (#2), this came up on my GPS as the nearest. A short walk and the search began. Previous logs suggested it could be tricky. Luckily no snakes or spiders today. I nearly made it harder than it needed to be - sometimes the thing that looks the most likely really is the one you should check first. TFTC
We have been eyeing off this area to do on bike for a couple of months now but we were put off by the warm weather and other commitments. Today we had the bikes on the car and after morning chores, we decided to enjoy a ride along the bicentennial trail. This was trail start for us. Took a bit of a hunt to locate, with Loki not looking thoroughly enough and making things more complicated than they needed to be . Got there in the end then time to hit the trail! Thanks gecko1968
Found it. Careful when finding it. We came across a black snake and red backs around the container. Container is split in 2 places so may need replacing. TFTC
A slight detour before heading to shops for nana nummys for grandchildren TFTC
Took me and the girls a bit of searching but eventually found it. Jazzy is loving it
Found it. Start of the trail for us. Note: case has been cracked so we put the log into a bag before returing to the case. May need replacing.
Found 8:43 pm. I had to get out and find my daily cache and keep the streak going. I've been slowly doing some of the caches in this area. It was quite windy when I jumped out of the geovehicle. Looked wrong spot to begin with until I rechecked the GPS and figured I possibly wasn't in the right spot. So headed over to another spot and then almost immediately noticed a possible spot. I found the cache and signed the log. Now what other one is nearby? But I discovered it was possibly a little too far for in the dark so do those another day. Thanks for the cache.
A big day doing gardening and getting the house ready for this weeks house inspection resulted in a very tired Rapidlywild however I still needed my daily. I seen this one on the map when I was out here the other day so I decided to come back to make the find today.
Didn't take too long to find the cache however the CO may want to pay a visit as the cache container has been crushed and there are 2 big cracks on 2 surfaces of the container. After I signed the log, I tried to straighten the container and used the lid to try and keep the container in its correct shape.
Thanks for the cache placement gecko1968

First of three this afternoon. Used to ride this track back in the days when we owned horses. A good find and cache in excellent condition. TFTC SL
Having fed on yummy cake at the nearby cafe, thought this one would be a quick and easy grab. Quick? yes. Easy? I was if I don't count smacking my head on a tree that snuck up behind me. Or was I walking backwards (and not paying enough attention)? It's a bit blurry...
Anyway, TFTC.
Anyway, TFTC.
Found with AngelG27 on a mini cache hunt this afternoon. This was the first of four caches!
First of five caches found in this neck of the woods this afternoon with HypoHippo3000.
Easy starting off cache! a tell-tale caching sign led us to the cache. TFTC Gecko1968

I had an iPhone and the 3G down here is very bad and because of that could find ground zero because there were almost ten different hissing spots in the area and I had a time limit, if I hade a proper GPS and more time I could have found it. hope I have better luck next time.

Wouldn't you know it? The weather is nowhere near as nice as it was during the week. Oh well, it's not raining. There's a bit of sun occasionally, and a very crisp, lazy wind. (Lazy? t's not bothering to go around me ...) I've done my washing (three loads), prepared my GPS, shopped for some food, and now the GeoSchnauzers and I are going caching. We'll head to the northside, and do some caches just outside the city.
Two of fourteen. This one is at the start of a section of our Bicentennial National Trail, which I wanted to look at for mountain biking purposes. This bit was for horses, not bikes. Anyway, I had a little trouble finding this one, but I'd left the dogs in the car, luckily. Muggles and horses passed by, to enthusiatic greetings from the GeoSscnauzers. Great hide, well done. Thanks for this one.

Actually this was in the middle of my trail today. After a bit of a big one the night before combined with a hard week I was really looking for something nice, simple, flat and easy that was still dog-friendly so a wander around the back of Belconnen seemed perfect. Took in this string of caches at a nice and sedate pace (much to the geo-mutts disgust).
7787 + 970 = 8757. Found during a nice walk after work today.
I went for a nice walk for three cache finds this afternoon - two out of three were in areas that I'd been to before playing a different sport - lol !! A quick find for this one.
Thanks gecko1968 !!

With the drizzle settling in, co workers Primary Evidence, Sergio, Gabor & I find this cache where we assumed it was. The locals (cows in paddock) did mind seeing us 4 stooges sign log and leave. Thanks Gecko1968.
Well, this was definitely the trail start, but then, it was also definitely the trail end by the time I got back to the car.
TFYC gecko1968. Beautiful day for a walk in the sun and get some caches along the way.
New Day caching with Darzee Di and Koda tftc gecko1968, great to bump into you at this cache
Went with ACTchil to grab a few caches for the first day of 2014, great to meet and having a chat with you Gecko1968 at the gz on our way back, see you at Cuboree. tftc
Needing to get out and walk off some of yesterdays consumption, grabbed this one on the way to a few more along the trail here.
I came out to Strathnairn for their Xmas drinks/etc, on 29 November, and decided to stay afterwards and have a look for the half dozen caches in the area, that I had not looked for yet ... did one on my way in (well - I had to drive past it, figured I would stop
After eating, drinking, and merrily looking at the art/chatting/etc, I parked near this one and made it the start of my walk along the trail to look for (and find) the "after" five
TFTC - nice easy find, just as the drizzle started (which wasn't a bother - it wasn't cold, and the stormy clouds made for a spectacular Sunset!)

On a bight sunny Sunday I decided to catch up on a few local caches. in one and half hours I did 11 caches, there are more around than I realised. With two caches along the trail to get, this was the start and the end for me. Thanks.

Given the heat of the summer day I was reluctant to dive straight in. A stick was sourced first. Otherwise an easy find.
#1063 - 20:50; I was on the way back to the geomobile from logging another cache on the 'to do' list and found I had parked a matter of metres from this one. Well, that meant there was only one thing to do and that was to locate and log this one as another added bonus for the evening mini-mission. TFTC gecko1968
Found with mtrax, chanlord and my muggle partner. Such a windy day, pollen *sneeze* *sneeze* TFTC!
9:31:00 AM: (7 of 14) Find#4973
Found with TienHua and chanlord and muggle friend hovering up some caches in West belconnen
Parked here to start our short walk up the trail but before that a cache to find.. zeroed in on the GZ and found quickly thanks

Well, it was the start for me and after grabbing this one set off across the fields for another couple. TFTC
We had some time free up this evening so I collected DRT and we headed out, even though the weather looked like it might close in. We parked the Geomobile and DRT was about to head off when I 'suggested' we get this one first.
As we approached GZ I spotted the container on the ground so DRT phoned the CO and ascertained it proper spot, to which So replaced it in once the log was signed. TFTC gecko1968

Cache #2 for today.
After trying for some caches with my sister but been cut short due to an injury. I got a message from JUSOJARA just after we got home so It was off again.
This was the first one... for some reason I thought it was at the very start of the nearby trail. Ja then called me back to him and So and So made the quick discovery, I then called the CO to find out where we should put the cache.

L & P were on a public holiday early morning cache walk. Sadly the site may have been damaged by the strong winds last week and we found the cache on the ground. Might be worth a visit Gecko to see if we have put it in the right spot. TFTC
7263. [green]I had some time to kill this morning so while I cleaned up after the deed I decided to go grab some caches. A quick find once I realised it was behind where I had parked rather than in front where I expected it to be... [/green]

Found on a nice day out this way. A very nice walk along this familiar path. But first, a quick cache to get started. Once at GZ, it was a very quick find. Nice hide, now, on with the show. TFTC gecko1968!
