With truck and car races at Teretonga we decided to escape the area and do a bit of caching away from the noise.
Thank you for placing this cache.
Thank you for placing this cache.
No plan today. Just escaping the racing roar of Teretonga and random caching in the area. Another good caching day was had. TFTC
Good to get one today. Working in Invercargill for the weekend and has some down time
#22080. Every trip south we seem to grab another cache or two along this road. Quick find here. TFTC.
Stopped by on our way back from Sandy Point. The vegetation here looked a bit daunting, but managed to find a way in, and there spotted the cache. TFTC.
With the Event on in Invercargill on Sunday why not make a weekend of it...3 days of caching down South woop woop gorgeous sunny day and time to explore the outskirts of Invers. We were down in Invercargill for a week or so and i managed to get out and locate quite a few caches around this area. Most were finds but there were a couple of D N F and a couple of "help" e mails to owners etc and i finally located them . I really enjoyed Invercargill as it was a good and easy size to drive around esp after 6.00pm when i often went out for an hour or so- there was very little traffic and very easy parking often right near G Z. I hope i have not muddles too many of these cache as some i did log earlier on and others have had to wait .
Thank you for these caches

Final one for today. Its getting wetter out here. Got this one tagged. Cheers. Last one for today. Now time to find Zara for dinner..
Sunday 1 November. Back to finish exploring Sandy Point today after a wet day Saturday.
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

Thanks Granville, you are missed.
Thanks Granville, you are missed.
So today is Sunday, but it's actually Friday, if you know what I mean. Due to the uncertain circumstances surrounding the CORONA-19 Virus my trip to Southern Lands which was going to be for four days has been shortened down to one and a bit. I had a few hours to fill in this morning before my flight back home at lunchtime, so I headed out to find a cache or two, as you do. A nice little series here. TFTC
Found today maybe an extra clue than needed for the 'investigate the scene' in the 'Mystery at the Museum' Easy for me to find in Invercargill because hadn't logged many here.
NO changing of dates found and logged, did it the honest way! Onward to the GEMS Yay!! good Granville86a

Yup easy one tho was bit worried it would be there as looks like a drinking place tftc
Just picking up a few caches around the Invercargill area to represent this part of the country. It was easily found and duties were completed before the cache was replaced where it had been found. Thanks go to granville86a for placing this cache, which was found by a couple of Aussies who are on a very wet tour of New Zealand.
Later into town today than anticipated due to a FTF run northwards, so plans changed. Picked up Saethwr and did a few along this road. I parked while Saethwr grabbed. Or that was the plan until she needed an extra pair of eyes.
Thanks for the smilie.

I arrived in Invercargill this morning for a few days work here. This is the first time I've been this far South in 50 years - and I was just a toddler on my previous visit... I had a couple of hours to spare before getting down to work today so went off to find a few caches. Time for a few more park and grab caches as I finally headed back towards the city. This one took a little longer than the other two. Found in the third place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
Day 4 of our south of south Nz caching blitz. Arrived in town and met by mr aand mrs chosen who did a top job chauffering us around to all the best spots. Getting into the swing of things, moving along nicely. Tftc
Down in Invercargill with the Manawatu U15 Championship boys hockey team for the tournament this week, and plenty of caching. Last day in Invercargill today so out to get a few more caches this morning after dropping another parent off at the airport. This one proved to be a little more difficult to find that the previous two and after checking a number of possible hiding spots no cache was to be found. Thankfully the cache was spotted on widening the search area a little. TFTC.
#4537. I have been down south on a work trip but not getting much opportunity to go geocaching. Decided to take a day of leave and rent a car so I could explore some of the caches hidden on the outskirts of Invercargill. Nice warm sunny day as well which makes for a nice caching experience. Took a few minutes to locate the correct hint object. The container was full of water but the logbook was still OK. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding the cache here granville86a.
Nice one.... took bit of time to work which place hint was pointing. Got bit snagged looking in wrong place
A quick find while out and about. A nice little walk along the river. All in order. TFTC
After several days camping and exploring in the Catlins we have come to Invercargill for a couple nights and a bit of an explore. Survived the first windy night in the tent....heading out to do a bit of a southern loop to visit a few cemeteries out otautau & Riverton way...stopped and searched without luck; a fast approaching dog walker adding unwanted pressure! LOL. No luck making the find though.
Think it's nearly time for breakfast. nearly done all our intend caches down here. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc granville86a. Find # 3874
Down here for the day with my other half. She was busy training so I went for a drive to sign some logs. So thanks Invercargill I'll be back. TFTC
We decided it was time to go for a drive and a walk and another drive, and how awesome to have a great destination with a few great caches! TFTC!!
Found on 15/11/2015.
Had some time to kill in Invers today so I wandered about town collecting caches.

We had just over 24 hours in Invercargill passing through on our way back from Stewart Island. As soon as we got off the plane we were straight into the caching and this was the first one we picked up. Nice easy find
Found in reverse. Nice day for a walk, CITO tins. Such a busy road. TFTC Cache nice'n'dry.
I have managed to catch up with the poor kid running along the footpath for the third time - he must wonder what the heck I'm up to! Thanks for these caches along the road granville86a. TFTC #7201
