Headed to Springwood today for some caches to up my calendar finds. I'm actually running two caching goals at the moment. My immediate goal (for 2023) is reaching 500 multi finds. My longer term goal is 25 by 25 - ie 25 calendar finds loops by the end of 2025. And that's going to take work and discipline. So any day I can raise my total finds to 25 is one more day in the bag.
And that's what I've managed today. HUZZAH!
However, the Caching Gods give and they taketh away. While I avenged a previous DNF, I added two more to my account - and one of them was a multi.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
The map says there is a track, but I quickly lost it while heading to GZ - only to find it again when I was almost there.
Nice quick find - but what's the furniture doing here?
Signed, replaced and headed back - and lost the track again!

A day out caching in this area with Dan of SueDan83.
Turns out we bush bashed more than we had to to get to GZ but once there spotted what the cache name refers to, and the cache followed quickly after that.

Has been a few years since our last attempt at this cache. Today after we had traversed the nearby valley on the hunt of a couple of FTF, we called into this cache on the way back to the car. As we walked up to a familiar scene, we spotted the hide on approach...no issues. With the cache in hand, we signed the log and then replaced it as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache WaywardWoman.
The following TBs came through for the mileage : Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football,

Cache check - it was there but has been moved to a higher spot.
All good to go.
All good to go.
Went back and had another look. Both my 6yr old and myself very excited to find our first geocache.
Might be because it's our first time but we couldn't find it. My 6yr old was disappointed but happy to try again tomorrow. I was surprised we didn't find it as everyone was saying how easily it is.
Usually I drive further up the mountain and go for a few days of walking. By the time I drive home and come close to this cache it's late and I am tired, so no stop. This weekend I was targeting caches further down the mountains and this was one successful little walk.

I tackled this cache after finding the nearby "Linden Views" which eluded me last time.
I was on my way to Turtle Falls and since i was going to be so close I just had to get this one.
Love the lean to, cache easily located, log signed and all put back in place.
Thanks for the cache, very nice.

Before we got there, we wondered what sort of structure we would find. The cache title is most appropriate and the cache itself was quickly and easily found. It was located in the obvious place and was quickly retrieved. All was good with the container and contents. all of which were hidden again before we left. Our thanks go to WaywardWoman for this cache placement.
#2105 came up this way to find a few caches and this was the second last one we did. I avenged a previous DNF. Got here & climbed into the Lean To. Decided it would be to unconfortable to sleep in. So got back out and spotted the hide. Soon had the cache in hand

Well that's certainly a little blue mountains backwater the tourists don't go to! Easy find. Thanks for bringing me out here.
Find #1412
We were pretty tired after doing a nearby mystery, but found enough energy to pop in for this one. Made a quick find thanks to the generous hint.... Thanks WaywardWoman

With yet another day off work due to injury, I found myself in Penrith this morning after returning a couple of rental cars. Quick check and yep, I have a pen and my phone is at 85%. Made a beeline for the train station and rode to Faulconbridge for a few caches. By the time I arrived it was pleasantly raining, which made the first hour or two much more comfortable, before the heat and humidity returned.
This was the first one I found. I half expected to find an actual shelter, judging by the name, but this was a neat find anyway. TFTC

Taking viaggio0001out for a days caching. Wandered down the track to GZ. Came with a hint from WW so able to find the cache quickly. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Hmmm, this log has gone into a note (having app problem)...anyway, a great cache, we will be adding this track to our summer night dog walks as it is flat and fun with an amazing view. Miss 7 loved the feature for which the cache is named and had to be dragged away in order to get on with 'finding more' before dark. A great cache for kids - thanks.
Out with JJCC picking up a nearby puzzle cache and we dropped by this cache. Unfortunately we couldn't find the cache on todays visit and after 30 minutes searching called it a day with the heat starting to rise. Will have to come back for this one at a later date.
Out with Team Merlin to find a few caches for the day. With GPS coordinates we headed to discover this cache. reaching GZ we looked for some time but with no luck we widened our search area but still no joy. Today we will have to claim a DNF. We will be back.
This one is not where the burn out was- all fine. Moved back to its original location with the lean to.
A RFS notice of a hazard reduction for the Adeline reserve and a look at my cacher map ... best go before the landscape is blackened. A brief off track bush bash before some common kicked in and then an easy stroll through flowering wattle ... the burn is needed, just a trifle sad it has to be while the landscape smiles. The cache was found somewhat exposed at the lean to edge on a litter of leaf. Signed and returned to where found though tempting to move further within.
As the CO is a near local one suspects the cache will be retrieved later in the day ... as a precaution though, the litter was swept aside and the cache enclosed in rocks - not that it will likely achieve much.

Funny circumstance on finding this one. I was collecting the info for another cache "footsteps in time". Oh, you beauty, another multi "Evans Survey", had plotted the coordinates nearby, so on my way to that GZ, I am passing this hide, so why not.
Easy find, even an umbrella is under the rock.
Fast forward approx an hour, after reaching the plotted GZ, finding nothing, PAFed, oh man, I needed to convert those coords.
Walked past your hide again WW, kicking rocks and saying a lot of words, that shan't be mentioned.
Eventually I did work out the other coords for that multi, and found that too, thanks WW

The cache name was a dead giveaway to where to look, and at the right angle it was in plain sight.
Another bush find while keeping an eye on the sporadic rainfall.
Left a pathtag.
Thanks for the cache.

Good work for everybody who found it but since I don't have a phone with me so I have to use my iPod so I don't have very good reception so I really want to find it so ya!
Nice to find some thing easy after the harder ones this morning. Didn't stop me from sliding down a slippery rock and bending me foot in a place it is not meant to bend. No problem. I finally spied this in plain sight.
After a spot of luncheon at the parking spot we made the short and easy stroll to this one. Soon spotted the "lean to" and then Tronador spotted the cache.
A late afternoon find. The rain has cleared, fun scrabble across the bush we left the path a little early, great rock formation. Tftc
Not the easiest walk for the six year old girl, but the ten year old boy got to it. Left a guitar pick. Play On!
Fantastic to be in Blue Mountains area with tmann421 geocaching & taking in the views.
Thanks so much for bringing us here & for all the enjoyable placements to find.

Nice short walk to cache, took us a couple of minutes to find the container. SL TFTC
Set out early this morning with Jfindit to attempt a few caches in a different area than one we are familiar with this being the lower blue mountains area, this is a great spot with many challenging cache types as well as terrain and difficulty ratings, we had a great day and would recommend the area to anyone who is prepared to test themselves in all environments. tftc
xPhenoms and I ventured south this morning 4:30am “grumble grumble” in the trusty Mitsubishi Geowagon down the thin black line to Penrith and then onwards to the Blue Mountains ie Glenbrook, Blaxland, Springwood. For day two of a two day trip. Great cache. TFTC
Sorry that this is a generic log, but I'm catching up on a year's worth of logs. I'm sure I really enjoyed this cache. Thank you for placing it.
Found with my 5yr old nephew, he loved exploring and climbing up the rocks. Great hide. TFTC
A short and easy bush bash, even in work clothes. But, once at GZ I tried to make this harder, until I spotted it from the other side.
