### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there Shamus1,

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.

You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days so others know exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**

#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.

- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers, so without your note on the cache page telling them what the situation is, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and, when the listing is next checked, all will be fine for a little bit longer. But be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date), please ensure you visit this page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks so as to keep everyone up to speed with what is happening.

- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil

A nice and easy find here

Today was a big day again of caching, making my way from Adelaide to Tasmania. Today I started in Ballarat and headed into Melbourne, woodland reserve was on the cards and the aim was to finish it off, unfortunately the bottom paddock was closed so I’ll be back once again. Overall 78 caches for the day.

It was an evening of first to find hunting with AusFox; to the North and after stopping in Ballarat for some much needed food we grabbed a few more smileys before heading home.
When we got near GZ for this one we quickly assessed where we thought the prize would be hiding and it wasn't long before we were signing our names in the log book.

Thank you Shamus1 for the hide

03-Aug-19
I received a call from Simsfamily as I was rapping up my day to see if I was interested in an evening drive. So with those words I packed a caching to join up and head into a moonless night of caching.
Simsfamily did the hard work here locating the cache.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the cache Shamus1

27-Jun-19
Today was a good day to get out and about in the fresh air and enjoy the nice sunny day. I met up with DAB to do a bit of exploring in areas that we had both been too before but had wanted to go back to find a few more caches. I felt like a lizard at times taking in the nice sun we had but it was also cold when the cold breeze came through.

We parked the geo wheels not too far away and had to wait out a muggle and some council workers that thankfully were a little bit further away from where we wanted to be. DAB had the idea of this one straight away and came up with the goods very quickly.

With some spare time before school pick up, Na'wal and myself hit the road looking for some caches. We left home in the dark to maximise our free time and arrived at the first hide just as the sun had risen. We had another great day, picking up some quality caches.

I had done a few in this series, but I'm not sure how I missed this one. Well today was the day to rectify that. A great location, that was the perfect spot for a hide. TFTC Shamus1 Big Grin

TFTC. We were in Ballarat to pick up new glasses. With time to spare before heading to Ukulele Group we took the opportunity to do some exploring using caching as a guide. We do not venture to this part of Ballarat often so it was a new experience.
We were on the way to a solved puzzle cache and saw this on the vehicle GPS. Stopped and it was a quick find.

17-Jan-19
Bit smelly here today!!

Thursday 15 November 2018

A tricky hide, but found with geofriends.

On my way from Adelaide to the Parkville mega, with buddies. Whilst in and around Ballarat we have generally been signing the logs "GAMBS" or "GWAMBS", or using our individual stamps, or writing our full caching names (depending on log size/ time at GZ etc).

GAMBS stands for: GoodLook, AnyMules, Muff 1, Brisal5 and SA Sewer Rats....GWAMBS includes Wozzle68 who joined us on our caching escapades - it is always awesome to travel with our very own PAF WinkRazzBig Grin

What an awesome few days we've had so far!!!

Thanks so much for the cache %OwnerName! [^]

15-Nov-18
Well this one took a bit of looking.
muff1 have been staying in Ballarat in preparation for heading to the Parkville Event and while here our dear friends from SA have arrived and we have spent a couple of very full on days caching with them. We have all had an idea about certain caches that we would like to find and any other that we past by that we could grab.
Our appologies for the generic log, these do not take away from our appreciation of your cache hide. SL TFTC

Find # 4319

Found with Tyred n Cranky

Down in Ballarat for the usual appointment, after lunch we headed off to claim some smileys.

I made the jump down to GZ and right beside some bees. Thankfully I was able to avoid stings and made a quick grab on the cache.

Find No. 1839. Found with FUF009 at 1.10pm.

Down in Ballarat with FUF009 who had an appointment to attend. After lunch it was time to do a bit of caching before heading home. We managed to get five caches plus one DNF for the afternoon.

At this site, on one end there were a swarm of bees but FUF009 managed to find a way down to the cache. Located cache quickly, signed the log and then left the bees to do their own thing. Luckily no bites for us today, but a smilie for our efforts.

10-Sep-16
Another countdown event to the Surf Coast Mega. This time Ballarat. I enlisted Locus Cache for company and we arranged to meet mogni and Mrs. Aussie M & M there as they were coming from a different direction. Cool Having arrived last night we set off early to cache our way to the event. We had worked on Puzzles on the weeks leading up to the event so were keen to see if we could get some of those and any others we were passing. [^]
Oh over there. I guess it will be up to me then [?] AGAIN. Despite the recent rains there wasn't much flow and the bank wasn't that slippery. Made for a quick easy find. Smile Thanks Shamus1. Big Grin This was the only find of this series that we had time for so I guess another trip will have to be made.

10-Sep-16
This is my first find of this series and I will have to try to get a few more next time I visit.
Thanks

10-Sep-16
Brisal5 wanted a 'yapper' to keep him awake as he drove to Ballarat and he thought I'd be up to the task Wink
After a late start Friday, due to his 'anytime is fine' reply when I asked what time we were leaving [)], we landed at our barn accommodation [^] in Ballarat about 8pm. After grabbing tea and a cache, we caught up with Mogni and Aussie M&M before checking out their weekend's amazing accommodation SurprisedCool
Saturday we travelled the countryside from cache to cache in our two vehicles and managed to attend an event too (2 months to the Surf Coast Event - Ballarat) Cool then bolted off to find a rare moveable cache [^]
Following a DNF Sad on a bridge cache, our friends headed off for sleep [)] while Brisal5 and I cached until just after midnight by which time we were beat! [xx(]
Sunday after the usual caching breakfast of Maccas we said our goodbyes to the two ladies Sad and then we two cached Ballarat until 1.45pm before finally heading for home.
Weekend tally of 1 Cool event attended, 2 DNFs Sad and 58 cache finds Smile

Chewbacca called us and so we came here and our human geotool did the honours and made the find Smile
One day, hopefully, I'll get back here to finish this series.

11-Jun-16
Another cache that appeared on the radar as we drove home to Markndee's from the Kick Start event in Ballarat. The cache site was a little wet and slippery, but with plenty to hang on to the two males in the party made it to GZ without incident. SL at 9.29am with Markndee Took: coin from Chile. #3717 TFTC Shamus1

30-Apr-16
Found by Mary & David at 1200. One of our favourite characters. Our daughter gave a small Chewbacca doll to her cousin who took him all around the world and nearly every photo had him in view. He even graced her wedding cake. Our thanks to Shamus1.

02-Apr-16
Was attending a family get-together at the Scout Hall, and took the two Star Wars obsessed nieces out to find this cache. My sister was the one who made the find.

12-Feb-16
We were on a mission!

Driving from St. Arnaud to Ballarat to get our 5 year old daughter a tattoo.

Hahaha, not so. Actually we were driving her to her grandparents place to they could take her to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo the next day.

But there was dinner to have and of course, rather than order dessert, why not a course of cache.

We went the cache.

A short drive from our dining location the GPS took us towards some cachey territory. I was soon up and over, and carrying the 5 year old cache monkey down with me we made the find.

An interesting little location where if I had a bigger dose of courage and more batteries for my torch it would have been worth exploring.

TFTC

10-Feb-16
Found this.....well Nugget did. Awesome spot . TFTC

23-Jan-16
After doing a tour in Subterranean we continued caching into the afternoon picking up some unfound caches in the area. After a quick scramble we had the cache in hand. TFTC Shamus1

22-Jan-16
We parked close and headed over. Once the GPSr settled hopped the fence and saw the likely location. Careful not to slip on the wet stone paving. We soon spotted the hide and completed the signing duties. TFTC

21-Jan-16
As one of only 3 caches left in the Star Wars series that I hadn't yet found, this one was a must. My elderly muggle mum who was with me wasn't so keen for me to be climbing fences, but hey, if that's what it takes, then that's what it takes! An easy task reminding me that although I'm now 50, I can still do a few energetic things. Once I'd crossed over to the dark side, it was a quick find. Thanks for the cache and the series Shamus1!

02-Jan-16
Tyfc. First one in a very long time. Kids a bit bigger and more agile now Wink
