Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU.
I gave up looking asI was too conspicuous on a main road . I searched as much as I could at GZ but felt too many eyes on me
Had to be in the western suburbs for some shopping today and was able to do some caching on the way in and back. Tricky! Last log entry from 08/21!!

When I got to GZ I realised I was beneath it.
So I trekked up to the top, sat down and had a look.
Sure enough it was a quick find.
I'm loving the camo. Makes a little harder to find but it's a nice touch.

Rainbow Spirit I found your cache Pot of Gold PT, Orange 3 on 24/4/21, 12:55 pm. This is my find 3145 and find # 5 today. Once I made sense of the hint, it wasn’t long before I had CIH. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Had a look here and there. Read the description properly and checked images. Got it. Thanx
Well after 3 checks of the area and about a million farmers friend weed seeds attached to my clothes as I walked back and forth around this Pot of Gold cache over the last week, I have finally found this it!
After chatting to the CO about various things caching as I walked the track today I was encouraged that what I thought could be the hide was in fact correct.
So I decided to drive home via this location and have another try. As before I parked the geomobile in a nearby street and walked down to GZ. There's a noisy German Shepherd in one of the yards and we've become good friends as I keep walking past. After finding the cache the highway was surprisingly devoid of cars so I walked across and he even called out to me from 6 lanes away.
Glad to have claimed the smiley for this one!
Lots of unloved days too.

My second attempt and second dnf.
I think im a bit unlucky when it comes to this cache.

We were at the wrong level initially. Once removed to the correct level, everything made more sense. The cache soon revealed itself. TFTC!
One of the sneakier hides of the day, but the cache did eventually reveal itself to us. Thanks!
Had a good look around where the description said it should be but couldn't see it.
On a day when the temperature reached 39 degrees, only mad dogs and crazy cachers go out in the midday sun! But we wanted one last hurrah to end 2018, and so EverestHigh and Brewmaker headed out west to attempt the Pot of Gold series and others around the area. We had a successful day overall, but the heat got the better of us at times and we had a few DNFs. Thanks for the variety of hides. I remember cycling through this area back in my pre-caching days. Happy New Year and many caching returns in 2019.
Almost about to DNF this when I uncovered the cache after 15 minutes. I'm sure one of us had checked there already. Then a muggle turns up and just stared at us for awhile, before he moved on without saying a word. The heat was causing us to see things - or was it not see things? TFTC

Wow - unintentionally returned here exactly one year after my DNF. And ironically, this time I found both containers. The first one that hasn’t been signed since July 2016 as well as the replacement from September 2016. I feel I should get 2 smileys here but happy with one that redeems my DNF

This is a series we had looked at before and wanted to do but have not always had the time however today we were in the area and given the souvenirs up for grabs thought we could do some to get some numbers. So ignoring the ones with lots of DNF's we headed off.
Knowing the CO we made some assumptions and shortly after had the checky hide. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Located at 7:37am. Second find for the morning. That’s a clever hide. Quite a lot of camouflage there. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
OCW marj01 to tackle the twentyone caches in the Power Trail series along Orphan School Creek. We made an early morning start and did the series in the reverse order to the CO's numbering. A lot of time was spent examining casuarina trees looking for very well camouflaged caches. Of the twentyone caches we found fourteen of them with four dnf's; we didn't attempt the other three caches as they already had a string of dnf's. Thanks for the series Rainbow Spirit and the company marj01.
Trying to get to my 1900 milestone as I have a special cache in mind but I still have 20+ to go so decided to target this PT.

Despite finding the item in the hint, we still couldn't find the cache. Too well hidden for us. Thanks anyway.
Needed a PAF for this one and then it was obvious! My second time here and it still proved to be a difficult find! Another one complete for this series. Just a few more to go! TFTC!
Had to have 2 attempts at this today. First time, I looked at a certain spot for a long time, no find. 2nd time, look somewhere different, found quickly. Funny how that works. Tftc
Thus far a dnf from me... have message rainbow about it. Hope to find it. 2 goes an no smiley yet
DNF this on today. Got the better of me. I'm his was my last stop. Hoping to get my milestone of 25 finds on this one. Not today...
This cache had me searching for some time but eventually giving one more looking and finding the cache in an area I thought I had checked 5 minutes earlier. TFTCM

Teamed up with Seemyshell today to ride the power trail and grabbed #16 along Orphan School creek. Getting to know the CO's style with some varied finds. A great cycle trail as well.

A quick and easy find. Cammo is just disintegrating, container has a very large indentation for some reason.
Found with Happy Jackie high and dry and a little edgy. Quick sign and on our way.
Found. It was high enough to survive the floods.

Again this entire area was under so much water, evidence again by the huge amount of debris rising to great heights. This may or may not have survived. I assumed where I should be searching but I couldn't see anything. This could also do with a check.
Found by friend above the pass... Don't mean to give too much away but it is annoying to walk around inside when it isn't there
On recommendations of a caching couple I met at an Event, came out for a day-visit to the series of caches along the Orphan School Creek. This is 7th of 20 for the day.

We walked through the underpass and I soon realised where I had to go. I cyclist stopped to talk to my geo-wife, and geo-dog while I quietly carried out caching duties above, thanks.
Tftc. Found it after a couple of walks over it, then purely by chance. Mrs jaybeem was down below guiding me in the right direction, when I knelt down and there it was.
Having a broken elbow (and a recent phobia of falling haha!) I decided to PAF and subsequently found this one without too many dramas. TFTC

#2107 (1 of 14 today)
Well, headed south today and as the rain seemed to be holding off I hoped I could bag a good number of finds today - with lots of the remaining Pot Of Gold PT nabbed.
And good it was with not only the rain indeed holding off, but also getting 14 finds out of 14 attempts - two of which were somewhat surprising. And I only needed a PAF with one of them.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
First cab off the rank - a previous DNF on the Pot Of Gold PT that had been replaced by the CO and subsequently found.
So imagine my surprise when only a few minutes into my search I spotted a camoed container that looked a little old...
Grabbed and opened to find I had... the old CIH!
Hmmm. Well it was still there, and pretty close to where my iPhone was pointing. Didn't continue searching for the new one. Well, I had my find.
Completed signing duties and replaced.
The CO may want to clean this one up as there are obviously two containers at GZ.

30/07/15. 12:39 PM. Cache #2752. Streak day #403.
3rd of 10 for the day.
The plan for the afternoon was to tackle more of the Pot of Gold series. Firstly, I wanted to redeem some past DNFs from the eastern rainbow, and then see how many I could find from the middle rainbow.
I walked here from Blue 3, which was a past DNF from May, like this one. When I got up to GZ, I had a short look, but then a muggle was below on the path, throwing bread to some invisible ducks. I sat down out of sight and waited her out.
When she left, I returned to my search and took a few minutes, and then turned up this little sneaky. First to find it since the CO put in the replacement and first to sign the new log. At first, I thought I had scored 6 months for the unloved cache challenges, but then I redid the maths in my head and realised that I came here 2 weeks too early. Oh well.
I decided to skip Red 3 altogether, because it hasn't been found since February and seems like it needs a CO check. The next cache I went to was Violet 2. TFTC.

My third attempt at this cache and after spending sometime looking with two pair of eyes, I have to log another DNF. Either we are blind or the camo is so good. A horrible day of caching.
Thought I'd head south today and knock over a few more caches in the Pot of Gold trail today. Still ended up with a few DNFs, but also found two I'd not found before.

After a couple of other caches to the north ("Oma and Opa's cache" and "In the burbs"), I did the eastern third of the Pot of Gold PT from Violet 3 to Red 3. I had mixed success with 4 finds and 3 DNFs although two of these have probably been muggled.
I already worked out the correct altitude for the search (later verified by checking past logs), and even used the same technique as Hagar (The Vikings) did at one point. No luck. Spoke to the CO at Sunday's event in Lane Cove; good chance this one's gone too.

A fruitless search today while attempting section 3 of the series. I guess its possible it got swept away in the recent high winds and/or flooding? TFTC Rainbow Spirit.
Found 9:23 pm with x_mscake. As I was commuting from home to Canberra, I figured I might as well grab my daily cache somewhere along the way to keep the streak alive. This will make it #333. I had the geodaughter and her Bf x_mscake with me. I stopped by my parents place and therefore the Cumberland parking lot was a viable way to go to Canberra. This cache was then on the radar (again). Yes again coz I've tried to find this one once earlier. This time determined to locate it and with a little more idea where. Last time my GPS was taking me all over the area around GZ. When we arrive I parked the geovehicle just on and off the road. Scrambled over to GZ with x_mscake and before long we had the cache in hand. Sneaky camouflage on this one. I grabbed the travel bug that was in it and signed the log for both of us. Cache was replaced as we had found it.
Thanks for the cache.

#2611 - 06:50; In Sydney to attend an event over the weekend, I identified this power trail as providing the closest accessible caches to keep my current streak running at 352 days, as well as getting a few numbers up. I was up early and identified a convenient parking area for the geomobile which would provide access to a few of the caches in the series. I decided to head west along the trail and bagging my first cache headed further along to this one. I searched low and then high before spotting something I initially took for some litter, but which turned out to be the cache! Log signed and cache replaced, it was off along the trail further. Another one that didn't make sence to me? Just have to have another look another time? And the last try for the day.

Got a few wierd look skulking about here but didn'r take long to work it out and get CIH.
This one took some time to reveal, we walked forwards and backwards and in the end Hagar found it while laying on his tummy.
Decided to try finishing the rainbow trail, have only three caches to go and 2 of them snoopy and I had previously DNFed. This cache was one we had no success at before so this time we started at the bottom but on closer look realised there were not many opportunities for a hide and there terrain suggested otherwise. I pretty much walked straight up to this one, how we missed it last time who knows but we are pretty sure the light overhead was broken last time. SL #1472 on streak day#718 TFTC

Initially we gave up on this one but went back for seconds and were rewarded. I had originally gone to the right spot on the first attempt but didn't really try hard enough. That'll learn me.....always put in good effort on the first attempt! TFTC
Was sitting out in the open. Bit sure if it was meant to be so added a bit of unbatural camo that may blow away. Get the idea reading the records that this may need some owner attention.

What a great day for geocaching. The weather was dry and cool, as were today’s team members: The Voucher, Melelina, and flytoSYD. Of course, at the end of the day we had plans to do something about being so dry. The three of us are aging gracefully and require adult hydration at about 4 PM. We will have to work quickly and efficiently to cover 26 caches today. This required a lot of climbing. When almost ready to give up (or fall and die), one more place to look and The Voucher hollered the find. SL TFTC.
I was nominated to stay put and watch the gear (happy to say). This was an easy find for me...it's good they didn't go where I was pointing for them to look, as it would have been dangerous to retrieve, and it wasn't the cache anyway. I think I was along to make them look good. At least I made the find at "Over we Go".
yebo, i really had to look for this one, poked first in the termites-nest (not a good idea), then stood in the blazing sun and read through the other logs - and bingo, got up and found it - really nice! tftc
Mmmm...I'm not sure how to comment on this one. Once you've decided where to go, the container is simply out in the open and easy to see by passing muggles. Tftc
A return visit to finish off the eastern end of the Pot of a Gold PT. Thankfully not quite as hot as last week!
Same kind of hint, very different terrain. A young muggle cyclist kindly stopped to wonder if we needed assistance. But we politely sent him on his way. Clever 'hide'! SL TFTC Cheers.... Gaztek
