Today we explored Yorketown and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Second last day of caching, getting tired. Thanks to everyone for placing these caches.
Last day in marion bay so we went out picking up some caches. Most were traditionals plus a few puzzle caches we solved prior and one multi. Most caches were found quickly, Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches for us to find...
Good fun. Had a bit of a trundle by the lake with my mum and a geocache along the way. Lovely scenery.
Up bright and early for the June Long Weekend hiding day.
The GOTHs (me, mogni and Alternika) had a great day hiding our temporary caches, attending a flash mob and finding a few caches. Somehow we nicked a tyre which was slowly going flat. A quick trip to a servo where we pumped it up enough to get back to our digs, changed to the spare and arranged to have it fixed the next morning. All this cut into our caching time and so we got ready for the nighttime dinner event and set off early to try and find some of the caches we should have already found that afternoon.
We found both the cache and a couple of lost ball on the way out.
Thanks hackman 22 for the cache.
I hope your caching name is nothing to do with how you play the other game! [:O)]

Joined up with Alternika and brisal5 for a big weekend of geocaching and preparing for the JLW event.
While out and about we saw some great locations and found some clever hides.
Thank you

Quick find while we collected a few caches in the area before attending tonights dinner event, at least we had a muggle free fairway as we wandered over to the cache TFTC hackman22
Mr Tardis was out on an adventure down Yorke Peninsula with Mr froghoppin today.
After a short walk, Mr Tardis found this one hiding away in a logical place.

# 1648 - On the road with Triciac2 from Qld to SA we try to find a cache (or two ) at every stop. Rhyssa6 has joined us now as well for a week.
Having toured the Fleurieu Peninsula, and visited the Cornish Festival, we are now touring the Yorke Peninsula and hoping to add to our numbers.
This morning Rhyssa6 and I went for a walk, hoping the rain would stay way long enough. It didn't, but it didn't dampen our enthusiasm too much and we did find the cache. Not too hard, even if it was a bit damp around us.

Visiting SA for a week before going to Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs. Out with joojoo57 and Snickersallan doing caches on Yorke Peninsula then back towards Adelaide. Thanks to all COs for your cache hides.
Before attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs we're spending 5 days in SA mainly around the Yorke Peninsular. Appreciated the variety of containers and places they were hidden - it certainly brought us to places we certainly wouldn't have stopped at. many thanks to all the COs for your time and effort in the placement of your caches.
After two days of geoart we are having a sightseeing and caching run around the middle section of Yorke Peninsular.

Out sightseeing around all the small towns in the area and decided to pick up a few caches along the way. Thanks CO for the good hide and TFTC
Day Twelve of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I are dashing down the Yorke Peninsula for a bit of maintenance. We seemed to do a lot of TOY Run caches, but it is not everyday that you get large size caches all in a row!
We drove down the east coast from Moonta to Edithburgh, then back up the centre.
An empty course today, which is strange being a Sunday.
We located the hide and then nearly got sprung by a family practicing, although I think the kids preferred hitting the lemon they found rather than the golf ball that kept getting lost!
Thanks, Robmc.

#11777. Day 12 of our SA holiday. As the forecast for the Yorke today was for rain, sun, showers, wind and all of the above several times over in whatever order you like to think up, we decided a caching day was in order as it wasn't going to be any good for kayaking or snorkelling or cycling. We started at Moonta and went as far as Edithburgh for Rob to do a maintenance check and then back up through Yorketown etc to home. Collected a nice little bounty of 36 smiles with a couple of DNF's thrown in for good measure.
In 2015 we couldn't search here because of golfers on the course. On this wet, windy, miserable Sunday the course was empty - until we found the cache of course. Then a family of 4 appeared and the kids were practising their shots. How unlucky can you get? Names in the log and now it is time to find some lunch.
Thanks hackman22

#2233 As it happens when Mr BGF plays golf we traversed the treeline until we got to the target, in this case a cache. Not a muggle golfer to be seen today, must of been lucky enough to avoid a comp day. Mrs BGF had the cache in hand as we walked around in circles for a while as if we lost a ball . Yes !! Geocaching is a game,
or sport,
you can enjoy all year round
Thanks for bringing me to the Yorketown Golf Course to view some muggles playing a sport that you can also play all year round
I'm not sure that it is always enjoyed by its participants [:o]
Hmmm !!
I'd never thought that golf and geocaching were so alike [:o]
Sometimes you find the hole,
and sometimes you suck !!
TFTC.
PS: I still think golf is a waste of your life !!!
Geocaching takes you everywhere !!
Golfing can only take you to a golf course

Heading from Pt Vincent back to finish the fish. Stopped for a Yorke Town cache. Thanks for the cache. The Hedgehog was very impressed by the container!

A bit too wet for the pro's today! It was a day of caching in the rain, in the good company of fellow Geelong cachers Suscoe. After three days of geo-art, conventional caches were a pleasant change. It was the first time we have seen this sort of container used as a hide
Our thanks to hackman22 for placing this cache.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out today for an adventure across the foot of the Yorke.
It was quite a wet day really with steady rain for much of the day.
We found lots of caches as we wandered the back roads of this area.
The countryside was green and the crops were looking good.
Thanks to hackma22 for this cache,
Haven't seen one of these for years.

As this one was not very far from where Speedmistress and ourselves were staying on our return to Yorketown at the end of the day we made time to find one more, you know the story it is always just one more. Loved the container.
First we must appologise for the generic logs.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

Travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.
Our 2000th Find! Found on day 4 of our Yorkes adventure, out and about enjoying the countryside. TFTC
Hi there hackman22.
We found your cache **"All Year Round"** at 12:40:00 PM today.
This was our 2nd find for the day and this makes our find count 13718.
Today was a lazy sort of day, so our cache run today started at a random one near our camp site in Yorketown. We then navigated to the one the GPS said was next closest etc, & ended up finding 11 & DNFing 0 today.
Hmmm, found it 14 metres away from GZ. Is this a hook or a slice?
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 14m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

While staying at Pt Vincent C/Van Park decided to take the girls out for lunch to Yorktown, so did some geoing on the way there and back with desertfox41. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Camped at Yorketown, and Konie joined us on a loop drive to Port Moorowie & Coobowie.
We visited some lovely locations, & picked up a good variety of caches on our travels
Added our names to names to the logs, and it was off to the next one.
Many thanks for placing this cache, hackman22, for us and others to find.

A first ever visit to the Yorke Peninsula for me, so many caches and so little time! I visited whatever caches I could fit in while aiming to make it to Yorketown before dark. Loved the drive and the magnificent countryside.
Many thanks to all the SA cachers for the placements, and in helping make for a very enjoyable day.

Found it! The mower man thought we were a little unusual, especially as it was raining!
Found by Mary & David, in company with Di Morgan, Alansee and pprass (signed as DAMP), at 1400. A cloud of Galahs flew above us as we all walked. Beautifully green and very well maintained, but who has time for golf when you can cache instead? Our thanks to hackman22.
Found at 2:30 PM in the company of Alansee, DiMorgan and maccamob - we signed our names in the log book as "DAMP".
Another cache that we were surprised has not bee nmuggled considering where it is - golfers must not be very curious, or are single minded when playing.
Thanks hackman22.

No one was out playing today so I had the place to myself, well so I thought. As I uncovered the cache I suddenly touched a Yuckky Yuccky Spider who was guarding the cache. Despite this I signed the cache and replaced the coverage and the Yuccky Yuccky Spider was still sitting there so I covered him ready to surprise the next unsuspecting Geocacher who finds him.
Didn't need to dodge any muggles or balls in our dash in and out to this one! Nice hide.

After doing the Fishy Tale caches the week before and had such a great time on the peninsula, we see there are many caches scattered all over the place so we decided to spend a couple of days here cleaning up all the caches here, many roads were traveled with some awesome views along the coastline, the weather was just right for us and along the way we saw quite a few sleepy lizards but no snakes, we look forward to getting the other caches on the peninsula as it is such a beautiful spot here. Found on our travels around YP, enjoying the great weather and just relaxing

Day five of my holidays, today on the Yorke Peninsulas. This was my attempt to find 200 caches in a day. I picked the Fish Tales power trail as the bulk of the effort but needed at least 41 extras to achieve my goal. This was one of them. If my calculations were correct, this was number 201 for the day. And despite it being almost dark, I wanted to exceed the 200 in case I'd made a mistake counting. Fortunately I didn't

Not a golfer in sight today - think it was too windy!
A quick find was made here of an unusual choice of container.
We did find 2 golf balls at the GZ of the nearby multi - they must have been from really wayward shots!
Thanks.

Out for another day of caching on the Yorke Peninsula with Alansee and Micaparamedic.
We have been doing many caches around golf courses this trip and although all the courses have been in fantastic condition we haven't seen one person using them yet, perhaps because it's mid week.
having no one using the facilities makes searching for the container quite easier and this one was found quickly.
To save room in the logs we signed as M.A.C.( Micaparamedic Alansee and Team Crackers).
Thanks for the cache.

Found with Micaparamedic and Team Crackers on a lovely day for caching. As we were signing the log a ute drove up and asked us what we were up to. Then ensued a friendly discussion about caching. Turns out that he was the Course Manager and naturally wanted to know what was going on.
Once all was explained he was quite happy with the cache being there.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today we set off from Coobowie through Yorketown so stopped to pick up a couple of caches in town as we have driven through many times in the last few days but never had time to grab any caches. So a couple grabbed a much overdue visit to the town Bakery which was finally open whilst we were here today then off to Minlaton.
Nice view here. No golfers around this morning thankfully.
