Im in Brisbane for a work trip and decided to grab a couple while out and about.Happened to be over on the public holiday so ventured a bit further out for some finds. Many thanks to Aussie Liahona for placing and maintaining Pioneer Resting. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.
Visiting South East Queensland for a week from Port Macquarie. Today we ventured out towards Tamborine Mountain before finishing the afternoon around the Southport area. After a chilly morning, the afternoon warmth was very welcome and made for a rather pleasant day of caching. Based on the title we were expecting at least a decently sized cemetery, so you can imagine our surprise to see the lone grave as we pulled up and read the description. The cache was in full view so was a quick find, tucked it away a little better to protect it. Managed to get up close to the goats across the car park, surprising quite docile (at least as far as goats go). Thanks for the cache
Driving to Tamborine mountain and stopped for this cache. Easy parking and quick grab. TFTC
On a little rental car tour from Southport Yacht Club to Tambourine mtn we stopped here. Still haven't seen a roo yet.
A morning drive means a chance to collect a couple of random caches that still linger on my mapA nice quick parkngrab disappointingly the mulberry appears to past its peak but it did bring back some serious childhood memoriesThanks Aussie Liahona
Took the KG kids out to do some caching now the 12yo has a caching bag of tricks. Took a while but she deciphered the clues and came up with the goods!
This was a good spot to let the geodog out for a wander after being cooped up in the car while I explored the gallery walk. While a comfort spot for him I bemoaned the lack of facilities for me...oh well can't have everything. Least it had a cache...

Quick find here. Small person was off chatting to the goats whilst I was doing all the fun stuff! Such a well looked after lone grave. Thanks for bringing us here
Went for a giant run down the hill, had a little hug with my partner and then found the cache! I live near Brisbane so I came down here to see my partner, and did a cache while I was here! TFTC!
Quick park and grab. Nice to finally have a little success today after 3 DNFs.

I was intrigued by the sole grave here. After making a quick find, I wandered over to have a look. I was expecting a plaque or something to say why it's the only grave here. Thanks for the cache
The main reason Mrs Woodyrothwell couldn’t jump out of the car and help look today was that she couldn’t undo her seat belt by herself. That was my job and of course it’s something I forgot every time we stopped. For that reason I would try and park as close as I could to a cache so she could spot it.
One again we were 3 metres away and my wife saw something suspicious I needed to check. Lightning always strikes twice - you just have to make sure you aren’t under it.
I jumped out to find she was spot on the money again. If only I could park my car 3 metres away from some terrain 5 caches. tftc

Down on the Gold Coast to celebrate my sisters-in-law birthday, so after a delicious meal at the Fox & Hounds, we stopped off to pick up a couple of caches on the way home.
This was nicely hidden, but soon located, paperwork competed and onwards to the next one…
Thanks!!

Wonderful area to explore great placement and interesting road. Thanks Aussie Liahona
Found while out on a day trip to the Nursery with 2manytrailers and a couple of non-cachers. Thanks for the cache.
Today I was out for a drive with a minimal plan. As I tend to do. I began by heading to Alberton for an Aussie Liahona hide to complete a little goal and after driving aimlessly and winding up at Pimpama, I realised there's a little group of more AL geocaches on the road up to Tamborine. I don't see why I shouldn't go find them and carry on this little streak!
I head through Upper Coomera and begin blasting up the hill. Only, my car doesn't quite "blast" so much as "chug" up steep hills. And today, that was accompanied by a BMW zooming by me on the wrong side of the road. Whatever, Trevor!
With one eye on the map, I saw that this geocache would be easier to access now, rather than on the return trip and having to cross a lane of traffic, so I peeled into the car park. Nice timing too, a ute-muggle was leaving as I arrived.
My phone pointed me to a likely location and I spent a minute fiddling and diddling the geocache out. I signed my name and when replacing realised there was a much easier way. Why do I always make everything sixty-eight times more difficult than required!?
But there was a resting site to explore. Recent rain meant the park was shin-high grass and a tiny creek flowed between the car park and the burial site. I stayed here for a while as I read through the description of a young family which lost their mother. Children aged from just 17 down to 6 when Elizabeth left this world.
Sites like this always force me to stop and wonder just a little about what this world has presented. The life and love as well as the pain and cruelty of human lives, of families and of fleeting mortal times. Eventually, I left and would drive farther up the hill. But without this geocache, I'd have never stopped. So thank you for showing me this place, Aussie Liahona

Cache container has been replaced.
No writing implement here so if you don’t have your own pen or pencil then I’m sorry but you will have to come another time when you do.
Cheers and happy caching!

Pat & I have the day off so we’re heading up the mountain to do a bit of caching, and decided to find this one on the way up.
Easy find, and an interesting grave! We also loved the friendly neighbors in the shed nearby!

On my way to Mt Tamborine for work, so I thought I’d try for a few on the way. This is a lovely peaceful spot, although the goats next door were very chatty! The cache is no longer a silver bison, and the log sheet is looking a bit moth-eaten. TFTC.
on the way back from thuderbird park camping and doing the tree top challenge i saw this cache and thought it must be a cemetry. wow i was amazed at the lone grave. thanks for the information and for taking us to a spot we never would have gone to if it wasnt for geocaching. giving this a fp for a great spot
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific. I was on my way up Tamborine Mountain to attend an event and stopped and found as many caches as possible on my drive. TFTC

We have received word from the very kind and helpful duo Pigwig2 and Agap2 that this container has been replaced. I hope they have great caching karma for their assistance with this cache on our behalf. We are most grateful.
So it's back up and running as it should be thanks to them so we are hereby enabling it.
Cheers and happy caching!

How does the container come off the wire and go missing.
Whoops! So, sorry, will disable for now and will place a new container soon.

On a bit of a mission from the sunny coast to take advantage of this beautiful weather and thought id do a trip to Tamborine Mountain considering I don't remember the last time I visited...
Quick drive by and I had this cache in hand.. unfortunately this one may be due for some maintenance as it was clearly in view to be found..
Log needs a new sheet and I tried to rehide a little better

We were sprung in the middle of retrieval and then replacement by a man dropping off things into the green shed, AND by the chicken and goat owner mowing their pen, with his children riding on the mower with him. Talk about a sudden influx of muggles mid-job! Hopefully we didn’t give anything away. We used the second last line in the log. New log needed after next find. TFTC
I was clearing a few caches off the map in this area and dropped in to check on this one.
There was a muggle parked close by but I must have spooked him as he decided to drive off just after I stopped.
A quick find using the hint.

My last find for the day and a fav point for the great write up and time it took you to get the info.
Arrived near GZ and said I just love this spot and look their is a rooster sitting nearby.
A great photo opportunity for Gwen from The X-Trailers.

Saw a billy goat had escaped a fence here and I was thinking you're kidding right?! Followed by my Dad saying I might get rammed and my hubby saying "you goat to get it!" everyone's a comedian!! Fortunately a young woman stopped to deal with the goat whilst I made a quick park n grab of the cache . Also managed to note the solitary plot here. Tftc
This was an interesting place to visit. I'm not sure if it was sad to see the single grave or majestic as it was in such a nice spot - maybe a bit of both!

A quick park and grab here today.
I then visited the grave to find that it provided minimal information regarding Elizabeth Welch.
So, thanks for the info on the cache page. It sure is pretty unusual to have such a prominent single grave like this.

I have driven past here many times when I used to work at Canungra but never noticed this lovely lone burial site until now. Thanks Aussie Liahona for bringing me here and for the good hide & TFTC

This is an intriguing site with just the lone grave. It is a lovely final resting spot with the hills surrounding in each direction.
The cache was a quick find with good coordinates.
Thanks to Aussie Liahona.

I drive past this park all the time on my way up the mountain. Today the container was located by jarrahtree while I roamed over to the gravesite and paid my respect to Lizzie. Having no idea of the history, I quickly have assumed that she was buried here and the land was donated to council for parkland to preserve Lizzies memorial. Good little spot for a quick rest.
Thanks AL.
