Thank you beautiful spot for a bike ride and a nice one to do with my sister (it's her first find)
After a failed previous attempt to get this we realised an approach from the northside of this was required to avoid any Rahui agro. Our terrier enjoyed ducking in and out the gorse looking for rabbits. Tftc
Nice walk along the lake. Easy to find, but unfortunately the pen is not working anymore so we couldn't log in.
Biked out to this nice spot with two grandchildren. Easy find not matching the hint, but good cache anyway thanks.
Great easy find. We weren’t able to write in the cache as it was quite wet but kei te pai
Cool cache nice and easy. Great hiding spot. Pen didn't work so if you are thinking of doing this one would recommend bringing your own pen.
I was here earlier in the day, but saw the rahui sign and retreated. then I investigated when the rahui would be over, I realised the extent of the situation, and returned ti walk to the cache. Lovely spot, very deserted at present. TFTC!!
Enjoying a nice bike ride along here today, and stopped to find this cache. A quick find, good hiding spot, TFTC
We headed out for a bike ride along the lake front from Taupo to 5 Mile Bay and back again collecting a few caches on the way. A quick find here in the obvious place and then we were back on our bikes. TFTC
A beautiful area while out riding our bikes. Took a while looking for hint item, but then spotted cache. Unfortunately only pen with us had run out, excited to see pen with cache, but that didn’t work either, so took photo of log instead. Hope ok.
Nice walk with gorgeous view at sunrise. Found after a bit of look and reread of the description. Great hide!
Great hiding spot. Found after a little rereading and some looking but a very good spot and a great bike out.
Spending a week in Taupo, so a good excuse to pick a few caches along the way.

Nice little find whilst we where out getting exercise in August 2021 level 4 lockdown.
The only other people we saw in the contested area of Five Mile Bay reserve were moving very slowly past the cache. So we cycled on past and came back later when the coast was clear.
Nice walking track. Looks like someone has blocked off the road to the closer carpark, but the extra distance to walk wasn't too far and was quite pleasant. Dropped off a TB.
Out today for some gentle walks today to help limber up the muscles, after yesterday's 50 km effort in the Taupo Ultra. Had thought I could approach this one from the south, but the parking area looks like it is now off limits, with very discouraging signs across the road...
Headed back toward Taupo and tried another carpark, which required a bit longer walk, but quite pleasant today, if still a little cool. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly located, the log signed and then returned safe and secure for the next finder.
On the way back to the cache mobile, we fossicked along the beach and picked up numerous interesting pieces of pumice for the garden at home. TFTC

A stiff southerly blowing across the Lake keeping the temp down. Our ebikes are worth the money though as they slice through the breeze and take us to the next cache, tftc
So pleased to be able to travel now we are in Covid level 2. Come to Taupo for the weekend to increase the number of domestic tourists. Out for a bike ride after the ladies hired electric bikes and the guys used their traditional bikes. Was quite a workout trying to keep up with the ladies. Amazing machines. Lovely ride along the lake. Thanks
Cool spot, if you want a easy find read all the logs. If you want something a lil challenging dont read them. Its a great hiding spot. Watch out for all the sandflies.
Kurz vor Taupo noch mal eine kleine Pause eingelegt zusammen mit Panne Koppa und Mini_JayJay und diesen cache gemacht.

GPS had be on the wrong side and the legs got a bit scratched up before we checked further afield and made the find.
We dropped off a couple of TBs we've been carrying around for a while.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

Tftc. Nice view to the lake. Forgotten my pen and none inside. But I can say I am not thirsty anymore
Well hide! Thank you for the cache as there is not much entertainment around!
Even though it looks easy enough to walk here from 'Plane view' cache..... dont venture with elders or children "as the crow flies". BlackBerry, rabbit holes and barbed wire fences were fun to navigate around.
Returned this morning after being stuck 24 meters away on the wrong side of barbed wire on dusk yesterday.
Lovely view! TFTC

Visiting Taupo (from Wellington) for the weekend and collecting a few selected caches along the way, this was one. A nice walk along the lake front got me here, and didn't take too long to spot the hide, all safe and dry. TFTC
Have found but forgot the pen. Just stopping on our way home from 2 weeks in rotorua. Thanks for the cache
Avoided the muggles! Lovely walkway not to far from carpark for a stroll along the lake
Walking around during our stay at the nearby campsite we had a look if there are caches around ... and yippee there are. TFTC at this nice spot!
Have been for 2 days in Taupo.
After a short walk we found quickly this box.
Tftc and greetings from Germany.

Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
Found 18th September while staying at 5 Mile Bay. Was an early morning find so beat all the foot and bike traffic.
Cheers

Finding the cache was easy. It was much harder making sure that nothing flies away in this stormy weather today. TFTC!
Staying in the camper at nearby five mile bay reserve and decided to pick up some nearby caches before sunset and whilst it wasn’t raining! Find all of the pumice on the beach really interesting - sure it’s very common here but not something I’ve seen much of in the UK! I suppose it just washes ashore as it floats on the water. TFTC
