Visiting the reserve on a day that is getting worse
Thanks fir the caches
Out on this fine Sunday day to grab some caches out around the peninsula before heading to a Christmas Eve Dinner with my family. Crossing off some new ones that had popped up since I had moved away from Rosebud and collecting some old ones I could never make it out to in the past. All in all I had a great day out and only got a little bit sunburnt, thanks for the cache and the adventure.
This was an area that we'd "do at some point" and, eventually, we did.
Day by day, trip by trip, journey by journey, we made it.
This beautiful area now smattered in smileys.
And this, one last cache to finish it all.
An interesting route took us from the last cache to the main track, but a simple walk from there past the millipedes and skinks that appeared from time to time was all that was necessary to make it to gz.
A quick find was made in the obvious spot with the coordinates bang on.
All in good condition (as the CO would know, having been here earlier today) and we took the geocoin to move along.
We trekked our way back to the car with a few kangaroos hopping past us on their own journeys in this wonderful bushland.
Thanks to making tracks for the cache and adventure.

*Cache find # 10739.*
After a couple of events in Flinders, it was now time to make the most of my trip to the peninsula and find a few caches that I had not yet found.
There was a little pocket of caches in this area that needed to be found and this one was next on the list.
My main target for this area was now found so I then continued onto this one along the trails until I eventually made it to GZ.
Now the search began but I was looking for a cache that was more hidden than this one actually was so I was overlooking the obvious, eventually I found it after it almost jumped out in front of me and tried to trip me over.
**Thanks to making tracks for placing this cache.**
But I emphasize that often the cache doesn't even matter. What's important is to enjoy the experience, the surroundings, the natural environment and to learn something about yourself. And that I did.
Second go, I stopped at the exact same spot I did first time and mulled over whether to keep going. I did so. Although my muggle mate thought it was a good time to bring up the threat of snakes. Such a tranquil area of land. I could get used to this.
Found the cache very quickly. I thought I may have great difficulty in opening it, but that wasn't the case. You don't see this size very often! Signed log and returned. I think I enjoyed the walk on the way out more than the walk in.
Thanks for bringing me to such a beautiful part of the Peninsula.
This is just a great place to visit.
Thanks making tracks for getting me here.
Chiefton!!!
I was wondering were to go this morning and I eventually decided to come down here to Cape Schanck and this lovely national park that I have been into once near the main road for one other cache once.
Last year the Double Calendar Challenge was published so I set about filling in about 80 or so days that I didn't have for the second round of my calendar and finished it a couple of months ago so I thought I should make this trip and finally gather the challenge and the other caches in this park so I finally made a decision and headed down here.
I had no problem finding every one of the 15 that I looked for which I was pretty happy about. On my route around a lot of the park I only spotted one jogger and 2 bush walkers.
Thanks making tracks for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Find# 522
Out showing Mrs Womble the area after a night cache excursion a few weeks back. Now tidying up a couple of trads we ignored.
Great sunny Winter's arvo. Grabbed a TB (first we've found on ages).
Couldn't resist the hiking wristband as I'm currently setting up & training for an overnight trek across Wilson's Prom, so a special tanks to the CO's generosity.

A lovely walk to gz. Such a beautiful area. We saw a lovely big Kangaroo and heard lots of birds singing, a wonderful experience.
Thank you very much for placing a cache here.
In the early morning there were plenty of feeding wallabies and a variety of birds and frogs to be heard and seen
The wild flowers have generally gone for this season but there are great specimens of grass plants, ferns and gums. Main creek was in full flow. Picked up 2 TB's to help them on their way
Trackables:- Retrieved 3, dropped off 2, discovered 3. Left swag.
Oh, forgot to mention..there is a Deutschland TB that I was given that hasn't been activated, I attempted to make contact with the cacher who I presume owns it and seems to have sent it on its way without activating it, but with no joy..so I guess there's a unactivated TB with someones name on it if they want it...
On a run with Ahomburg this afternoon thru different areas of the peninsula. This one is in a great spot a quick find of my favourite container type too. Thanks for bringing me here today.

Find #5326
After we had finished at the WWFMXII event in Berwick, sedgwickDave and I decided since we were here and the weather was so nice, to head back to the peninsula to find some of the random caches around followed by some more of the Bay Trail Unleashed.
This cache was the next in our zig zag tour or the peninsula. A little bit of extra walking for this one, but it was not too long before we were at GZ and uncovering the cache. A great little spot and fantastic (My Favourite) container.
Thanks to making tracks for the cache. TNLN

Before arriving, I drove in to the top of Green's Bush. From here I did a walking circuit to find the rest that were relatively nearby. This cache was dead easy to find, in a pleasant spot to take a break. It was covered in ants though!
This park is under-appreciated by the Melbourne caching community. Because it is visited so rarely, I decided take ALL of the TBs that were in it, even though I only had a small trinket to leave in reply.
Thanks for this cache!
A nice spot close to a pond where we did some tadpole watching,
didn't see any frogs. The cache was easy to find and well guarded
by a large colony of black ants on the tree. SL TFTC.
Thanks making tracks for the cache and bringing us out here.
[green] It's raining caches [/green]
After a slight knee injury on the weekend this was just the thing I needed. An early Morning walk before work, to get the joints moving. Lots of roo about today and the bush smelt wonderful this early hour
The nice sized cache was found very quickly, signed log and it was time head back and get to work. Should get motivated and do this every morning. a most pleasant way to start the day.
Thx for the cache placement and the pleasant walk
[green]Merci beaucoup
Cheers
