One of twelve Animal Facts logged today. This series is represented all over the state it seems; this particular cluster Ive had a previous go at, and although it wasnt raining at the time, everything was very soggy underfoot. No such problems this time with the hills being very dry right now. All the caches were pretty easy to find, and theres some fun theming in there too. Second finder today! Thanks for this cache and the series LB.Theres a bloke thats married into the family that comes from the swamps of Louisiana. Hes probably eaten one of these. They eat everything down there.
Great geochaching day in the forest with marvin277 and the geokids. Lots of animal facts and a great adventure. Tftc
Had a wonderful adventure today with squeak11 and our geokids. We found a total of 17 caches in the Animal Facts Series and learnt some interesting animal facts. What an interesting fish!!!! TFTC
Out caching around Kuitpo forest and Prospect hill today. An enjoyable ride around to pick up the Animal Facts caches on this side of the forest. Some took a bit longer to spot than others, but found them all in the end. Only a couple had wet logbooks, otherwise all were in good knick. Cheers.Find #6467 on 29 Dec 2023.TFTC LB!SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - Feb 29th, 2024. Keep the date free!
While staying at Yundi we decided to pick up some of the Animal Fact Series and as it was a fine, cool morning we headed off for a pleasant walk. Thanks for bringing us here LiB tftc
The plan was to drive in from Mallawa Rd and do the short loop. Nope.... fire track vehicles only.... Parked top of the Rd and walked down to Trail.
Round and round the circle like a geocacher.. 1 step, 2 step.. 10 back steps... and back to original 1 step to finally see what was right there.. tftc

Ah finally - the end of the seemingly never-ending path! I had begun to wonder if this was a mirage and I would keep walking in a straight line for the rest of the day! Anyway, I digress... As with many of the caches here I approached the area slowly and kept my eyes peeled for caches and wriggling sticks. It took me a few minutes to locate the cache, partly as I was not looking in the right direction. TFTC LíB
Out for the day with Pineapplegoldy!
Lots of caches found a few not.
Thank you for the cache!

Sparkie and Goldy are back for another drive around the Aldinga region for a few recently solved mystery caches.
After finding a few caches in the suburbs we ventured out for a walk around Kuitpo. I haven't been here in 11 years.
The walk ended up taking about 2 hours and 15 minutes but was super worth it.
A quick find here today.
Cache in good condition.

I heard something about a badge level thingy for writing longer logs... so feel to ignore from this point onwards.
Thanks for going to the effort to prepare, hide and submit this geocache for me to find, another smiley for my geomap.

Dirty and Fantastic. The SupaBike went through many muddy creek crossings to reach our goal. Tra La Laaa
Thanks for the cache Lib. I had only a half day today and didnt want to drive all the way to Monarto or Karoonda, so Prospect Hill it was to be. I needed to finish what I started way back when. The first visit in this forest was on foot and I walked miles for a few finds. Today I brought the bike and the time between caches was significantly less. The area must have had far more rain than down in Adelaide as there were many wet patches. I found myself many times peddling with the back wheel slipping (road slicks). A really great loop around this section, thanks for placing all these and maintaining them for our enjoyment. I replaced a couple bags, and commented on others that might need some attention soon. [edited]
Today with COVID-19 requirements still in effect, but fitness still being promoted, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to head to Kuitpo for some mountain biking. We parked near the corner of Brookman Road and Gum View Road, and rode our mountain bikes north of Brookman Road around the fire tracks around the forestry area, finding the various *Animal Facts* series caches. We also joined a section of the Kidman Trail. We only anticipated to ride one half of these tracks, but we were making good time, and with it being a nice day, we continued our ride. We returned to have lunch, and then did a proper mountain biking session under the pine trees at Prospect Hill. A nice day out, and we saw a few kangaroos about too.
We continued our ride around this area on our mountain bikes, and made a quick find here. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks 3LG aka. [@LíB](http://coord.info/PR8KEM6) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Alligator Gar. Visiting for the tour down under 2020 via meadows today and the challenge of local caches. Thankyou for the cache series and the adventure , cheers.

Had to make a detour due to flooding...Nice and wet today but cache and contents are all good. Out finishing off the mystery at the museum challenge. TFTC 3LG
Today we focussed on the Animal Facts caches in the Kuitpo Forest area. We tried to make an early start because of the forecast higher temperatures but we started about 30 minutes later than planned. Despite that hiccup we were able to make our way around about more than half of the caches by 1:30pm. We will come back another day to look for the remainder.
Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find. The container was dry inside. Although the plastic bag was badly tor, the logbook was dry and in good condition. Thanks 3LG for the cache and this set of Animal Facts caches.

Such a lovely morning for a walk at Kuitpo after camping overnight. This series provided a nice variety of hides and cache containers. Thanks 3LG
Out for another walk after work. Wow it is wet here at the moment, I was walking on water literally.
You should only attempt wearing rubber boots....

ANZAC Day, I was up nice and early and decided I was going to head out this way and see how many caches I could put a smiley on for today. I got the geo bike out and went for a ride TFTC
Still a little sore from an eighteen km walk through Morialta yesterday I thought a nice small stroll through Kuitpo to loosen up a bit was in order. The fact that I had five caches left on this side of the forest to collect was a bonus. A great walk with cows, ducks and numerous birds sighted. Strangely no kangaroos today though.
A quick find on this one. Like the last finder said, might need a bit of attention before winter but all fine today.
**Thanks 3LG for this cache. **

Fabulous day out with the entire caching family. Finished off what we could of this series in the Kuitpo Forrest. Super day for a big walk our favourite type of caching. Nice variety of hides and all found in good condition. TFTC and series a great way to spend the first day of the New Year.
Found with hevwalker on an afternoon caching adventure. Great day for a walk around the bush.

Having decided that it was a great day for a walk and a picnic in Kuitpo we planned to collect some more in the Animal Facts series along the way. It is always interesting to read about the animals - especially those we've never heard of before. TFTC [:]
No meetings tonight so got out of work earlier than usual to take advantage of a rare hour of sunlight. Did a loop to grab the last of the major Animal Facts loop ... or as it should be called, 3LG's Tour of Kuipto's Great Trees.
Thanks for the series!

Spent the morning with some lads from the Morphett Vale Pathfinder Club who are completing the Geocaching Honour. The group included Jimmy01, Jourdster5555, Blue Cheeta C, Shadowss and green mere cats. Thank you 3LG for the cache and the series.
Ive been wanting to find some of these Kuitpo caches and finally I had some free time thanks to a public holiday and the weather was kind. Lots of great hollows for critters here - oh and a large branch of a tree was blocking the road.
Out on a nice Sunday walk with allister w. Ground was very wet as were some logs but still had fun doing these ones. TFTC
A nice Sunday afternoon walk Cara81 to grab a few caches in this animal facts series. Plenty of water around and we had damp shoes and socks when we had finished. At one point I gave Cara a piggyback across a creek crossing. All the caches we looked for we found and in good condition, a few had damp or wet logs. TFTC
After slopping out way along a very wet track, we were thrilled to find the mass of orchids around this cache. Apart from the caches, made the whole wet day very worthwhile.
Thanks 3LG

Found during a bike ride around Kuitpo, plenty of water around! Even had a huntsman guarding the cache. TFTC
Found on a lovely Father's Day outing with the whole family, as we went on a 5km walk through Kuitpo Forest tracking down some of 3LG's 'Animal Facts' caches. Some of the trail was under water after yesterday's heavy rains, so while today's weather was cloudy but fine, we still ended up with muddy shoes and soggy socks. It didn't dampen our spirits though as we racked up the cache finds and had a great day out. TNLNSL TFTC
Thanks for hiding this.
I think the Alligator Gars would appreciate damp conditions out here today . . .

Camping in kuitpo forest again and really wanted to finish off the Animal fact series started in 2015. Lovely weather to be out walking and caching.

On a lovely day that wasn't too hot I decided to go down to Kuitpo to have a look at 3LG's new cache and clean up the rest of the Animal Facts that I hadn't done. [^]
I decided to bring the bike this time and actually do some "mountain biking" even though pretty tame, but nevertheless the first time I have been off road. I thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours that it took me to clean up the remaining 21 caches.
Most of the caches were in good order although a few had torn/broken zip lock bags and some of the logs were damp!! Don't know why that would be as there hasn't been much rain lately...maybe condensation.[?]

What better way to start the weekend than a 5 hour trundle through a forest finding caches? 41 caches, 4 DNFs, 15 kangaroos and 3 kookaburras. Straightforward find. TFTC
Top day for a walk in Kuitpo Forest, made all the better by following this cache trail. Thanks for giving me some purpose to my walking pleasure.

Managed to get all 41 caches in this area today with the Geowife. It drizzled on and off most of the day and took us about 5 hrs / 13km of walking to get them all - quite a rewarding experience - particularly finding them every 5 mins or so as we walked. Saw heaps of kangas, lots of birds and sloshed through countless puddles and overflowing creeks. Cooked up hot noodles and a hot cuppa for lunch at the edge of the forest - a tops day out.
Thanks for the cache!

Day 3 McLaren Vale.
Today we went into the forest searching for some animals. This was our first sunny day in ages, the ground was still wet, slippery & some puddles to negotiate in places.
Hubby walked one section of the trail while I did another.

A nice day for a walk around the forrest with Mattycat for a extra set of eyes, most of the caches were in great shape a couple are in need of maintenance but they will be listed on the caches concerned, enjoyed the variety of sizes and hides as we walked around the pines even a laugh at some of the cammo used as usual a fun day out and a swag of animal facts in trivia bank and now also smilies on the map TFTC 3LG
If you go down in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise!
Out for an afternoon and evening walk and cache with Mr and Mrs Froghoppin (and Amber).
Nice variety of hides. Fav'd a couple for the cool camo
Most in great condition and neatly tucked away. Noted on a couple where attention might be needed.
