Day 36 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today hired ebikes and took a tour around the loop to Westshore collecting caches along the way and completing 3 Adventure Labs. What a beautiful day to be out and about in Napier. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday Cache was high and dry
Day thirty five of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Hired some deadly treadlies and rode a trail around Napier today, a few AdLab stages and a few caches.Nice blue skies and light breeze, perfect caching weather. These caches are handy for seeing where the track heads to next.I had the wrong spot here, Mr Morris located it.Thanks, Robmc.
Had a decent look and nothing came hand hereAnyway, Thanks goffyoffy for placing this cache.DNF logged at 01/04/2024 at 11:21AM
Maybe the title needs to be CYLCE,OR WALK OR PADDLE AS the track around this side was through the bog and we got our boots / shoes / socks very wet a We had used the Old track along the top of the stop bank to start with which was infinitely better . s the track was under water and the grass at the side was a bog . never mind we continued on our way and collected this last cache on our tiki tour . Thank you for this cache . we took nothing and left nothing .
HS and I are up in the Hawke's Bay on a geocaching weekend. These caches around the wetlands were our first stop for the day. Stunning weather and location. Tftc.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at the NZMCA Eriksen Road Campsite in Napier for the next few days … planning to get in a few days R&R riding some of the numerous bike tracks & trails around Napier, assuming the rain stays away … but if it doesn’t, then we’ll just chill in our caravan … decided we’d go for another bike ride today, so headed in along Marine Parade, round past the Port (had a great view of the Cruise Liner: ‘Ovation of the Seas’), before heading out round the Westshore Wildlife Reserve/Ahuriri Wetlands area, back along Prebensen Drive through Tamatea/Taradale to the NZMCA site … decided we’d better do a few caches along the way … this cache was an easy find, log completed & replaced … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #3,424 for us.

I have noted the reluctance of some cachers to go away from the public track and beyond the fence to the original position of the cache placed by GRAHAM 7243. It is now reachable from the public track.

I see what people mean by saying they felt like they were trespassing, you do have to climb over a fence to get to gz. TFTC
Saw a 'Barbara' who had recently delivered twin lambs but she looked like she was having trouble. With this in mind, we were determined to locate this cache. Felt a bit like we were trespassing but it was where the clue sent us. Tftc
No plastic markers, and the cache certainly was not where I expected. Felt like we were trespassing but needed to look beyond the fence.
#666 What a nice day for a bike ride. Our first time on this track. No more plastic wires. TFTC
House and animal sitting for Mr Porks cousin. Love coming to the Bay.
Yep...We searched and we searched and searched some more, but still nothing. Even waited for muggles to walk by. Still came up with nothing. Never mind maybe next time.
Thanks any.

Our last day here in Napier. Have to fly home to CHC. Bummer. Had such a great time. Fantastic weather. Beautiful area. So many caches to find but not enough time. Had a good walk to grab this and the other caches. TFTC.
Wandering around the wetlands grabbing a few caches. GPSr took me to GZ where the cache was soon in hand. TNLNSL and left as found.
Thanks for the placement GRAHAM 7243.
Thanks for the placement GRAHAM 7243.
With (Mr) Davidson Clan, Gap (of Fap and Gap), and Philip.Perry. This line up was stitched together last night, just in time for our 4AM departure from Rotorua… We have planned another blitz of Napier caches. This should seriously tidy our geomap…
We should have started walking the cycle trail while we were parked nearby. Instead, we drove around the perimeter looking for an easier access route - All roads were gated and locked. There was no other way for us to approach these caches besides walking… A good hint and quick find here - Thanks GRAHAM7243 and TFTC.

(# 6829) Day 3 of my Gisborne trip. Today was getting from Gisborne to Napier while the big storm blew through. A quick find once I spotted the hint item. Thanks for bringing me here.

**S 39 29.259 E 176 52.103**#12,600. After our DNF back in 2014, we returned here for another good walk in Poraiti, Napier. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after widening the area a little, and eventually settled back to just 4 metres. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us back to this site again, and .T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e..M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.

Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today we cruised around Napier. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Mr P and I were moving at a pace because of the wet weather - but always time to enjoy a cache. T4tc
We had a lovely cycle ride around this area while playing russian roulette with the weather. We didn't have too much trouble with this hide because of such a helpful hint. Tftc
Washer was a great clue. Visiting Napier overnight hired bikes heading to winery may not be up to geo caching on way back!
Found with caroii77 that explains why my name isn't written down on the paper

Introduced my niece and nephews to caching. This was the third find on a bike ride. My 10 year old nephew was excited to find the home made key ring in the cache. Left a Tupperware key ring. SL TFTC
making some finds before heading home, thanks for the placement glad the weather stayed nice after over hearing a few people saying it was going to be raining.
As soon as I finally saw the hint it all made sense

A few posts to look at but found it in the end, a little off the beaten track TFTC
This was the fifth day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega. I stayed in Napier today to make a dent in the many caches that are hidden here.
It was quite busy today. I got the last parking spot at this end of the bike way.
There were several directions to check before I found the cache and then the marker as mentioned in the hint. TFTC.

Easy find with good hint, cache now in plastic bag. Took marble, left loom band TFTC
Found it. This one took a while. The container is broken, so log book is very wet. I added a piece of paper.TFTC
In Hastings for a Tenpin Bowling Tournament. Had time to come out to this area for a bike ride to find some caches. Thanks GRAHAM 7243 for the cache.
Took a little while to find cache. Muggles passed by asking if I was OK while I was searching. Finally cache was located, signed and placed back in it's hiding place. Cheers
Located the cache after a few minutes of searching. Lots of geotrails leading to different posts lol. All good at GZ. TFTC
There are so many gates here! It took us a while to figure out which one it was the one... you nay have to open up gates that are not part of the biketrail.
My gps was a bit out so took way longer than it should have as we checked all the possibilities!tftc
Really enjoyed this series of caches while cycling the path. Clear hints meant no long stops. TFTC
