Today we flew into Kununurra before heading to El Questro tomorrow, so the obvious past time was to go do some caching! We had a great few hours caching around Kununurra getting some great caches!
Quick find here, container is damp but nice new logbook thanks to richlink and iluvtreking

Travelling to Darwin with iluvtrekking and spending a few days in Kununurra. So glad we are ahead of the heavy rains forecast in the next few days. Replaced soggy log and also new plastic bag. Thanks for the hide.
Easy find, replaced the very waterlogged paper with one new piece bring your own biro
Found after a hike up elephant rock. Way too waterlogged to write on the log. In fact the log paper is mush and needs replacing.
Cool spot. I haven't found this type before. Unfortunately wet inside due to flooding. Emptied water out, but no replacement log as wasn't prepared:(
A good dirt road to this one. I couldn't open the cache though, until I used a crowbar to wedge it open. Cache was not damaged. The log was a bit damp, but signable. TFTC raptriple.
We took a bit of a detour today while heading towards Kununurra with ilook4geo and stopped here to find this cache. It was an easy find in the expected place and the log was soon signed.
Thanks go to raptriple for placing this cache.

Picking up just a few caches around the Kununurra area and this one was on the target list. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC,
Find 11 of 14 on another full day of 4WDing, hiking and caching - cleaning up K-town and down to Lake Argyle and back.
Bizarre to think this was the road not that long ago. Mid afternoon and searingly hot by this point, we poked around a bit before making the find.
TFTC raptriple!

Log book is very wet..Unusable. Needs maintenance. Have placed some note paper in there for short fall.
As the footy Grand Final was starting a bit later, we headed out this side of town to find a few caches.
Lucky we didn’t spot the big snake as indicated by the sign.
Log is still damp.

After being completely muggled out at Ivanhoe Crossing I headed for a cache a little further out of the way. Parked at GZ, and the next thing the road was a highway.
Managed to make the find and replace it easily. Thanks for bringing me here.
In Kununurra for a couple of days for work. Checked into my accommodation and ducked out quickly to check out some more of the local caches.

On way back from a day sightseeing around Kununurra Mrs one-eyed and I went down another dusty road, saw a large load of cattle at the local yards, then found the cache.

Continuing on with my trip around the top end I finally got to Kununurra.
Knowing it was going to be another hot one today I got up early and headed out to tackle a few more caches.
In between some workers and the Garbo truck I managed to find this one.
Thanks raptriple TFTC.

Many thanks!
Many thanks!
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 13. The road again continued West to Timber Creek and then Kununarra, plenty of roadside stops in the hyper long grass along the way.
A big dusty road, but I was still able top find this one.
Thanks.

Tagging along with the "Rats" on holidays has it's advantages, not only do we get to see our cool country but we also get to do a heap of caching as Dad just can't help himself and has to stop at every cache he can.
Heading across Australia on nearly every dirt road possible we stopped and found your cache as part of our adventure and for that, I thank you! Sorry about the log being a "cut n paste" but tthats just because we stopped at so many caches.

The Rats and mini rats found this cache as part of our Purposeful Meander across Oz where we visited every mainland state in 8 weeks.
Apologises for the late log in some cases but we are only just catching up on our logging now that we have arrived back home. Your cache makes up many of the great memories we now have from the adventure. The faceplate style log doesn't detract from the experience we had finding the cache.
Thanks

We headed off this morning towards Kununarra to have a couple of night with friends there and of course the journey wouldn't be the same if we didn't stop for a few caches along the way.
This one worked out well for us as the friends we were staying with live not far from here. there was no shooting going on today and we couldn't see any thing happening in the quarantine yard either making this a nice easy find for us and the log book now contains our name.
Many thanks raptriple for the cache.

We left Parry's Lagoon this morning heading towards Kununurra as we continue our meandering across northern Australia from one side to the other after attending the Red Centre Experience.
This was find #5 for the day.
After arriving in town, we shopped, set up camp and had lunch. Now for some caches.
Luckily I had preplanned a route for this half day and even told Alice, aka my car Nuivi, all about these caches. She guided me to this beautiful spot which I would never have known about except for your cache. Once at GZ it was a quick find and after stamping the log it was returned to its hidey hole.
TFTC Liz and Bruce and for maintaining it Bushies2.

A quick find today after deciding to hunt some caches on this side of town. SL. Thanks to raptriple for the cache.
Hi there raptriple.
We found your cache **"Old Darwin Road"** at 9:21:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 14264.
We have stopped off in Kununurra for a few days to break our journey from Darwin to Broome. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around two metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which was to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. We then spent a few days in Sydney with geocaching friends efore flying on to the Gold Coast for the fourth leg of our travels, that included visits to Lamington National Park, Noosa and an overnight trip out to Fraser Island. We then flew from Brisbane to Cairns, where we spent a couple of nights before heading out to the birding hotspots of Yungaburra and Daintree. Following on from a visit to Cape Tribulation we turned to Port Douglas. After a day out on the Great Barrier Reef we returned to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs and the fifth leg of our travels, which was a wonderful week driving the circuit to and from Ayers Rock in our 4x4 camper. On returning to Alice Springs we then flew on to Darwin, where we picked up another 4x4 camper. We are currently making our way towards Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
This was a nice quick find at Ground Zero after having climbed back down from the Elephant Rock cache. Thanks so much for the cache.

The big move from Townsville to Mandurah WA. 5000km and lots of caches!:) After the geocaching event in Katherine, the next driving stint to Kununurra has begun!
Finally in Kununurra and 2 days rest stop are in order while collecting some caches in the area.
