We are in .. just one more territory watch this space. TFTC Gracie!Found with Piwaka54
Lets try this again. After a small foot injury stopped us from going further last week, we are back to do our maintenance check day up to Springfield... and of course it had to rain (sigh) This was our twelfth stop and the constant spit has now finally turned into rain so this is our turn around spot for today. Everything is all good here. Happy Caching
Found with ivss_xx and rich214. Picked this one up on the way back to chch. Always impressed with the COs sturdy and well-maintained caches.

A quick stop after doing a hike near Castle Hill Village. Maybe in some 10 years time I will have found all these BTG caches!!
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, gracie7 + Mum!

We collected our first two caches in the BtG series after visiting Cave Stream. After a quick find here we warmed ourselves with tea from a thermos while enjoying the pristine view of the peaks ahead. TFTC!
Bit of a dangerous find..nosey motorists can become hazards and vice versa..cool idea for the container though
Thanks to MattNastyaLucky's comment we stopped here on the way to ChCh for a maintenance daytrip.
This log was playing peek-a-boo through the container. We had brought a new one ready to go so just popped the nice dry log into the new container. Everything is all good here again. Happy Caching

Found it! We're stopping much less often now because my driver/brother is getting tired. But we had to stop for this one because it's close to where we once broke down when driving across to the coast and had to sit waiting for hours and hours for a tow truck. The container here was cracked and broken, and there was no bag for the log to go into. Might be worth a maintenance check next time the CO is making the crossing. TFTC!
#10,027. Day 2 of the extended Labour Weekend geocaching road trip. I flew down with geocaching buddy Infoferret yesterday with a target list of geotour caches, adventure labs, puzzle finals, a few virtuals and a hike to get the DGSC final. We can't resist stopping to pick up a few traditionals on the way to boost the overall numbers. The Adventure Labs claimed during the week down south have thrown my overall numbers into chaos. Maybe the souvenir 10,000 find will pop up today rather than on Bank's Peninsula. Who knows when.
And another in the BtG series. The more you do the more you like these nice easy barrier caches. Signed the logbook, replaced the cache where found and on our way again. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here.

Found as part of an epic trip around the South Island with GSEL – from Akaroa to the West Coast and back again over the Arthurs and Lewis passes. The weather was amazing, and the scenery breathtaking.
Due to my lack of preparation, I had forgotten to load this cache on my phone and log at the time, hence a second round of catching up on the logs I forgot. I will add more notes for the caches where I can remember them! TFTC. The last of the ones I forgot to log earlier for today.
What an excellent concept for a series, good parking, and easily located containers added to the enjoyment.

Went on a road trip with my daughter CalumD out to the West Coast and collected this while passing. A quick and easy find. TFTC.
I have been enjoying this BTG series and so many different bridges. Such a lot of work has gone into placing and maintaining them. TFTH
I do like caching with others but solo caching means I get to stop when ever I want. This was to be my seventh cache on my way home and the rain drops were getting bigger. The guard rail had a different construction and I just couldn't put my hand on the sneaky cache. I probably would have spent longer if I hadn't already had a bit of success and it wasn't reminding me so much of the West Coast with the rain.
Will wait and see if anyone else can find it.
Thanks for all the caches you place. I do love a proper logbook even if it is a small one.

We were now into double figures for the drive. The aim was 20 before we arrived at Arthurs Pass, subject to ease of parking. Luckily the traffic was light most of the trip which helped.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Out with busy paws for the day. We remember when this was a one lane bridge. Nice easy find in the pouring rain now. Thanks for the cache gracie7 + Mum.
Will do a cut and paste for these bridge caches, All found on a rainy day with Coconuts3, but a bit of humour and willing to get the smilies, who cares?! TFTC
I've been interested in finding this series of caches ever since they were published. Finally, I'm here. I think this is only the second time I've been on this road, the first time was probably a one-stop trip, silly eh! I much prefer taking my time, stopping lots, having a good look around and - - - just breathing the air. Thanks for helping me do just that!
Just spent 3 hours wandering around the amazing limestone formations. Now its back on the road for a quick stop here to get this one tagged. Cheers
Its Saturday and we explored from Lake Lyndon to Coal Pit Spur Track. So lets go!!
Its Queens Birthday weekend and The Seagnoid, Zara and I are heading out of town for a long weekend to Arthurs Pass, via Kaikoura. Had a fantastic weekend, seeing lots of new places, limestone formations, amazing views, awesome beech forest walks, but getting nowhere fast. Bloody cold at times with -3deg frosts but thankfully the snow stayed on the top of the highest mountains.. Enjoyed driving back via Lake Brunner, Murchison. An awesome few days exploring.

Taybeedragon and I are on a five day extended Queen's Birthday weekend. Happy birthday marm! The plan was to cache the Arthur's Pass route, from Rangiora to Lake Buller. You would think four days was enough to do the 211 kilometers, but we didn't even manage the 130 to Arthur's Pass village before we had to pull the pin Monday lunchtime for the drive back to Blenheim. But on the way we saw some amazing views, strange geology, weird amounts of ice in the puddles, ice on the inside of our windscreen - it was that cold. Caves, wonderful beech forests, rather a lot of bridge barriers and even a cache or few. And there was blisters, sliding down icy grassy hills on our bums (what fun!) and rather a lot of walking. Many thanks to all the cache owners that made this such an amazing trip.
Day 4 of our West Coast road trip and time to head back to Christchurch. Stopped to collect these park and grabs whenever we could safely pull over - had to miss a few as too many cars behind us. TFTC
Onto the trail proper now, it's caching all the way for lots of park n grabs and a couple of modest walks.
It's the last full day of the trip and I intended to make the most of the day and was up with the lark, cockerel more like, and in the car at 0530 ready to get going. I called in for an early brekkie and hit the road early to meet Ricardinho.nz at Springfield. We cached our way back to the West Coast via road barriers and others en route and I set off for home after leaving him in Greymouth after visiting all 8 of the TMGT caches there. Home at 7PM and a decent haul of over 80 caches, including 5 Earthcaches. Awesome scenery and views and a cracker day of weather too. 620KMS for the day travelled and time for a rest!
It's that time of year again when Marlborough residents get a double bubble, two 3-day weekends in a row and a chance to get out there and find some caches. Last weekend I headed over to Golden Bay with ricardinho and we managed a healthy numbers-boosting haul of 82 over 2 days. This weekend I'm planning on finding some already solved Canterbury caches and get me closer to a 5 figure finds number, the big 10,000. At the start of toSaturday this was a 4 day, at the end it was a 120 plus day!!
The Saturday was planned to be a big day and to get over 100 caches in a day if possible and start converting those puzzle pieces into smiley faces. Success was achieved in that we found over 120 each. I personally found my missing Smurfs, Metal Mania, Glossary of Geocaching as well as a number of other solves and collateral Traditionals. The Canterbury weather turned it on and a good day was had with ric.nz driving and me navigating (sort of)
The Sunday was a Geo-art loose ends day. My plan wqas to track down the remaining Smurfs, round up some horses and grab a couple of loose Eclipse mint tins. I also explored the realms of Springfield in preparation for a return across SH73 on Monday.

Last day of the long weekend and a long drive back to Blenheim via Greymouth (yep, that’s right) with the goal of getting a whole heap of ‘bridge the gap’ caches and anything else easily accessible or interesting.
With a lot of kms to travel, there was not room for much more unfortunately.
So a successful trip but the real heroes were the weather and the scenery.
I had forgotten a bit how stunning it can be in and around places like Castle Hill and Arthur’s Pass, and a great spring day with snow-capped mountains for a backdrop made a bit of a self-inflicted slog actually quite enjoyable.
Thanks all COs, and sorry for the cut and paste, but I hope you can understand why. All logs signed Cap/ricnz or variations on the theme.

Had a great day caching from Christchurch to the West Coast, bit of rain here an there but a good day. Many Thanks Bitsprayer

We stopped here to check on this while on the way to ChCh. The barriers on both sides on the road have been damaged but the cache was still there. We knew that the cache would probably go missing once work is on the way so we took the book out for our records and added a new one in the meantime. All good here for now. Happy Caching
Out and about over the Easter weekend grabbing some caches as I head to Christchurch via the west coast. Thank you for placing all these wonderful caches out for me to find. Had fun looking in, under , around and behind to find them. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. Your caches made the trip a lot more interesting with some adventure thrown in. TFTC
Off to Arthurs Pass then Springfield on a daytrip for a bit of maintenance run and also to get the caches we are always too busy for when passing through on the way to ChCh. We stopped here due to the last DNF comment but the cache (and bridge) is fine and where it should be. All good here. Happy Caching
Stopping at every bridge is making the trip to Arthurs Pass interesting. Thanks for the series
This series was the main reason for our trip today and we have now found them all except one where there were too many people in the adjacent carpark to risk looking for it.
Thanks to this and other finds I now need only one more find to get hold of that elusive World Turtle.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum

We are on a mission today trying to get the numbers for the Hidden Creatures Challenge. We were committed to some caches around Cass but also to our habit of caching back. Meaning travel as far as the furthest away cache planned for the day then find the caches on the way home. It meant a round trip of about 400km and meeting our objective in the process Overall the weather was nice to us although thick fog in the morning slowed us down for a while. We finished the BtG series that we started in May 2013 but for one that had to many prying eyes from parked vehicles. The weather conditions were from thick fog, freezing rain to bright sunshine, ink black night sky and in temperatures from below zero to rather pleasant. We awarded a fav for the series to the Master Cache. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
Its the last day of Easter holidays and we put aside the whole day to do a maintenance run on this side of the hill before winter gets here. It had been a long day stopping at the Month Spelling Challenges and ALL of the AFBs so we were pleased to be heading for home. Mum jumped out of the car in the spit which quickly turned into rain but the cache spot was bare and it was hiding on the wrong side of the road again!! The log was fine but there was a random hole in the top of the lid?? We gave it a new lid and Mum put it back on the correct side of the road. All good here again. Happy Caching
Good stop near our stay at the village.
Bag torn and magnet a bit weak but ok.

We were heading to Christchurch so thought we would go this way. We were really impressed with the amount of safe parking at these caches through here. As we were in a campervan we only stop where we feel safe and where we feel other road users won't get upset with us. Thanks for the BtG series
Quick find on way home from a break visiting friends in Greymouth where I used to live.
Today's mission was a drive from Christchurch to Greymouth on my way home to Nelson. Trying to find 'a few' caches along the way. It's been ages since I travelled this route so there were actually heaps of caches to find and at the end of the day my tally was 81. Biggest cache day for me for a while. One of my objectives for the day was to find as many BtG caches as I could. I managed to find quite a few. A few DNFs. A few DNAs due to muggles or distraction. BtG counter = 6. TFTC, Biggles.
Stopped here on the way to the West Coast this morning. No problems, a very quick find in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC.
