Clever hinding a spot and a cool place that l didn't even know about

The GPSr devices took a while to settle and I was initially distracted by another location. However on investigation of other spots I saw a likely hide and soon had the cache. A nice hide. Thanks to Team BGF for the cache.

Brick Hidden Cache at location is NOT this Cache. It is a nearby cache that was scattered and recovered, we've messaged owner.

In the absolute smashing down rain the cache was finally found, I set off from the carpark without any rain, But just as i got to the location the rain just dropped down on me.. So soggy!, Though the cache was found luckily!Thanks for the hide!

Sydney to Melbourne Meander. Day Six: Corowa to MelbourneWeather: Another perfect geocaching day.One of three caches logged in and around downtown Benalla as I make my way towards Melbourne. Benalla had already been bypassed by the the time I started driving between Sydney and Melbourne in the 90s. So this is like getting to see the town for the first time, and checking out some geocaches is always a good way to do that. Just enough daylight left for one last trad, and here it is. Thanks for these caches Team BGF, I hope I can return for more in the future.

Having left Tassie, we headed towards Canberra for the Mega and picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition.Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.

Finally!! It's been a fair while since I was here last and had to DNF because it had gone missing. We decided to head to Benalla to check out some shops and decided to finish the BLS caches. We spent far more time than we needed because we were looking for a sistema container.Mrs ILT spotted by pure luck! The log is very full but we found a spot to stamp and replaced the cache. We should know by now that Team BGF's caches can be interesting at times. Thanks TeamBGF!

It's been a long day, Auckland to Melbourne, Melbourne to Rutherglen. We're getting closer to our destination but there are more places to go and caches to find. Thanks for placing this one .

The beware of snakes sign did make us wonder if this was a good idea searching for this in the dark. I have to say that there were a lot of long thin branches in the long grass that did resemble a snake but we managed to get in and out and sign the log without seeing anything moving. TFTC # 18,965

We had this on our list of must do caches. Found after dark on the first night of our Rutherglen Mega trip, was a little nervous wandering around after seeing the beware of snakes sign. All logs signed as SPINZ (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Isis58 and Nanzie from NZ). TFTC

A little damp inside but log dry within its ziplock. Reactivated.

Taking offline due to significant flooding along the BLS trail. Once waters recede will check and perform maintenance as necessary, prior to reenabling.

Over at Benalla for about 3 hrs. The Muggle friends went off to do their thing and left me to do mine. 2+ hours... ok, there are BLS hides i haven't got yet so here goes.
This one was 1st cab off the rank in my lightning visit to Benalla

This was a very interesting cacha in the dark but we found it

Out on a caching adventure of 4 days with bushfire, Brisal 5 and Blackadder. We stayed nearby at Goorambat and travelled around from there. This had to be postponed a few times due to Covid.
Tag along and I have been to Benalla many times as we lived nearby when we were married. This was a new experience though as I am a geocacher now.
Stopped here and signed in as 3Bs, Team 3B6 or used name stamps. The sun shone us all day despite the weather prediction of rain and cold..
We had no trouble here.

In the Wangaratta area for a few days caching with my very good caching mate from Bacchus Marsh 6Hinemoa2 and great caching friend from Adelaide and his mate the Blackadders.
Due to COVID lockdowns and other problems this trip has been postponed a number of times but we are finally going. Once in the area we put 3B6 or Bushfire in our logs to save space.
With so many caches found I have to use the cut and paste method as we found so many great caches from so many different cachers, so a big thank you to all those folk.

DAY 3: Some Winton Wetlands and back to Benalla:
The Fab Four of Bushfire, Blackadders, brisal5 and 6himemoa2 set off for a days of Geocaching adventures. Although we had a plan A, we progressed through Plan A, Plan B and ended up doing Plan -wing it. [^] So to save space in logs we signed BBB6 or 3B6 or similar. Sometimes I stamped logs, but that ended very suddenly. Here is what we found during plan - wing it.

Day 3 of a trip to Victoria targeting around the Benalla area with Brisal5, Bushfire and 6hinemoa2. The forecast for the day was for showers however it ended up as a perfect day for caching.

As always the planned targeted hides were not visited due to time constraints but many more varied and fun caches were found. A number of disabled caches were also looked for and found to be there but in need of attention by the owners.

All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.

I was planning on doing the lake walk and grabbing all the caches but I was unprepared for the mozzies so some had to left in their hiding hole for another day. Not this one though, loved its camo. Thanks for bringing me here Team BGF

As we rounded back towards the car, having finished our coffees, we were glad of the caffeine to help us think when this one needed an extraction tool to access the jammed-in log. TFTC Team BGF

Having a wonderful girls weekend away in honour of the nearby Mega event, spending time with Mummy Short Legs and Ms Manda Moo and making the most of the caches in the area. Enjoying this lovely trail, however the heat was starting to really work the sweat glands by now! Stumbled our way into nope rope territory once again for this GZ and quickly made the find... not so quick to retrieve the log which had secreted itself waaaaaaaaaay down the container. Bit of butterfly imitation taken to dislodge it! Quite the show for anyone lucky enough to catch it. Replaced with care! TFTC Team BGF!

On the way to Wangaratta, Memorychip and I decided to unstrap the bikes from the Nissan Tiida and ride around to stretch the legs and collect some smiley faces. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this series

After some Op-shopping for Mrs P I thought it would be nice to go for a walk through this park and enjoy some shade and find a cache or few. Some of the specimens of trees through here were familiar to us Ballaratarians too. This was our first find, a nice piece of camo crafted here. Thx Team BGF ftc.

Mrs Rebel had to make a trip to Bonnie Doon to check on the horses at our Family property, this gave Me time to head over to Benella once again and make another dent in My unfound there.

We left Geelong this morning after 10 great days visiting, exploring and, of course, caching and set off for warmer pastures. As neither of us has spent any time in Benalla for years we thought we’d stop and take a look around, and see just how many caches we could find in an afternoon. The free caravan spot down past the library is great. Plenty of spots to pick from, walking distance to the shopping centre, free clean toilets under the library and caches all round. Some of them provided quite a challenge, some were pretty easy and by doing them we saw quite a bit of this pretty town and it’s lovely old buildings. Thanks to all the COs for their time and efforts. We really appreciate it.

Found this one with r0melia earlier in the year so it was a quick find for me. TFTC, we had a lovely walk around the Benalla lake today.

Frightened the poor ducks approaching GZ. Cleared the way for a quick find!

With restrictions in NE Vic easing this week it was time to get outside for a few caches with Cassie. I’ve been meaning to clean up the reef hills for a while so that became our afternoon target!
After that was done we turned our attention to Benalla to see if we could find a few Wonders.

Can’t believe it took me so long to find this! Jaycee Island has always been one of my favourite spots in Benalla and I’m glad to be able to add this cache to my list of great things on the Island. To top it off, I spotted some Kookaburras at GZ TFTC

It is with great excitement, anticipation and indeed jubilation that I proudly announce the auspicious occasion of my completion of this compelling series with the long awaited acquisition and signatory documentation of this final cache.
Although l fully understand formal notification must precede arrangements to duly enroll my new status as "Legend" on the honor board, I have made it incumbent upon myself to rectify any delay in the completion of the aforementioned proceedings and resulting actions by supplying an image (attached) that should suffice in the interim.

Out with dalerious hoping to finish the BLS but unfortunately after not being able to find this cache all our hopes died. We spent a good 15mins searching to no avail. We will be back over again very soon.

On our epic journey from Brisbane via Darwin to Adelaide and the Great Ocean Rd. Stayed at the free camp nearby.

A very nice cache. Surprisingly the logsheet was quite wet. We added a new sheet in a small snaplock plastic bag. TFTC

Day 2 of batching and so my aim today was to beat my previous record for a single day - which stood at 50 on a day around Beechworth and the Murmungee Basin in July 2018. Not a very big target (I am to get my first 100 day later this week) but hoped to get to 51 to make a nice round number (2300). So the plan was to load up the blue grader with CDs (not much sport on today) and head to a place I hadn't cached previously - Benalla. A good number of caches in close proximity and the opportunity to explore an area I hadn't visited before (other than a drive through on the freeway). Got away later than I wanted (though I needed the sleep) and finished in the dark (last was signed in the headlights) but in the end achieved my target (actually got 54) with a few DNFs (though only 1 logged) and some clever caches found and some nice places visited.

Over to this one (could have saved time on the way back but it was a quick trip). Wasn't many options at GZ so quickly had the cache in hand. Log was very damp but could be signed. Returned as found and then on through the Red Gums.

An easy enough find of a good hide today. On the walk in, and out, there was a family of Kookaburras close to the path.
