For some reason I had it in my head that I needed to sign 20 challenge caches for the Challenging July Challenge but I looked it again a few days ago and realised that it is actually 25! So today I headed up north again to sign another 5 challenges that I already qualify for. After signing a challenge near to this cache I decided to go for a little walk and collect the traditional caches nearby. This was a very easy find and obviously not the original container which is sad. Thanks babbowman for the original cache placement and for the ongoing maintenance!
After brunch with my daughter for Mothers Day at Nudgee Beach, I continued north, wanting to find a few chosen caches. It was a nice little walk here and I easily found the cache. Log sheet was wet but I could sign the waterproof paper. Tftc
Easy find. If you can't find this, perhaps you have a 'hollow' head.... or it's missing! Haha!
ornament is missingwill bring a new one next ridecontainer is still there and easy to find
Being in the area I checked out the map to see if there were any caches nearby that I could attempt. Two in this reserve fitted the bill so off I trot in search of this treasure. The cache was easily located even though I am wary of caches without a hint. Log was signed & the cache replaced with some added natural camo. TFTC
### Deagon Wetlands ###Today we went on a lovely tour of the Deagon Wetlands. We found this box in beautiful natural surroundings. Thanks for the cache saysTeam sissifalke
I as here a few years back and it was a DNF. Happy to turn this into a smiley today as I’m out with geoson for a few caches on his scooter.

barbbowman I found your cache Stridulation on 9/3/2023, 3:35 pm. This is my find 4825 and find # 7 today. A quick and easy walk by. Thanks for replacing. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

I needed to get out this afternoon. For a couple of reasons. 1. Because we were 3 movies into the day, and pretty tragic choices at that. And 2. Because I may be slightly competitive with steps against friends.
So Fangoki suggested maybe we could go somewhere where he could ride his fancy new scooter while I got my steps. And I decided therefore that Monster Lane would fit the bill nicely, and clear a few of the last ones I had left off the list. With those completed, we decided to continue our journey around the area, however Fangsoki had one more Monster about 2km away to grab, so he headed there on scooter while I headed to this one on foot.
Fangsoki had taken my pen, as we figured he’d be quicker there and back than me getting to my destination. However I ended up having to wait for an “eternity”for fangsoki (ok just over 15 mins) at the meeting destination about 170m away from this cache. I was waiting right near a school and yet I couldn’t find a discarded pen or pencil anywhere near the fence line! So I waited. And waited some more.
Then finally Fangsoki turned up and we headed down where I could make a nice quick find of this one today and rectify the DNF from a while ago, when the cache was missing.
Thanks for the cache barbbowman.

barbbowman I didn’t find your cache Stridulation on 10/12/2022, 1:55 pm. Searched around but nothing found.
A curious word, and lovely to read the definition.
We had quite an extensive search here today but could not locate the Hide.

Out signing challenges today so stopped to search for this one whilst on the tracks . He had buzzed out in the open of his hide so I popped him back in and under! Tftc
Found with Shazzar66 on our geocycle around the area today. Log is soaked and needs replacing. TFTC barbbowman
Today, I started out with a visit to Tinchi Tamba wetlands, with the main objective of following a Wherigo waypoint, but it was also a good excuse to grab a new challenge cache.
After repositioning my vehicle, I headed out by bike along the Deagon Deviation Bikeway to grab a number of *Monster Lane* series geocaches, riding from Brighton Park to Bracken Ridge Road. It was then an opportunity to grab litter at the Brighton Park CITO event.
I closed out the day by driving around Newport as per the *Newport Canal* series. Unfortunately, the rain arrived in patches as I spent a few hours doing this series, in which I ended up opting for my Jeep over my planned bike ride around.
After riding the *Monster Lane* series that I had wanted to this morning, I was close enough to this geocache of which I had a DNF from my last visit a couple of months ago. So I continued on, riding my commute bike down the dirt tracks to GZ. With the CO's recent replacement yesterday, it was a successful and quick find today. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and it was nice to have avenged this geocache's frown to a smile. Thanks barbbowman for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today, with my geocaching partner having a lunch appointment, I decided to take an afternoon for myself and kayak around Hays Inlet. I had the tide time right, but there were high winds about, and in the end, my plan for several river geocaches only resulted with one find, before making the sensible decision to cut my kayaking expedition short. I then took the bridge across to Clontarf and took a few walks around, before finalising my day visiting Deagon Wetlands and Sandgate Third Lagoon Reserve.
This was going to be my final geocache find for the day, but unfortunately I didn't find anything here. There was an obvious geocache hiding spot, and going by past logs, with one indicating that they didn't need to get off their bike, then I suspect this geocache may be missing, but I will watch and see just in case it turns up. Thanks barbbowman for the cache placement.

could not find it according to GZ, but my phone is not very reliable for that! Give me another clue!
DNF’d this a few years ago when it was missing. Didn’t even need to get off my bike today. Thanks for the cache
After spending a couple of hours at Tinchi Tamba chasing Challenge Caches, I thought I still had time to find one or two more before heading home... this little patch of green fit the bill perfectly...

The second cache in this nifty little slice of bushland. Almost walked past this one as I was watching birds at play (or squabbling) nearby. Backtracked and soon managed to scoop this one up with a butterfly net. Some parts of the world would have this for a snack. Good protein source I've been told. Thanks again barbbowman. Always seem to find some of your caches when in this side of the city.
I will be back another day with my camera to enjoy this park some more. Thank you
I have just realised I am 2 special caches away from completing a challenge. This is one of them.
Was a little concerned about the walk to this cache after seeing the swooping magpie sign, but no close encounters today.
Cache was found quickly, log signed and all replaced as found.
Thanks barbbowman for the cache.

I've tried looking for this one in the past, but unfortunately I went missing, so since I'm in the area and seeing that the cache has been replaced I decided to suss it out again. I was fairly confident about where the cache was hidden, so I went there straight away as soon as I arrived at GZ, yep, there it is, what a cutie!

I had the opportunity to get out on the bikes with La Kedi again today. She graciously agreed to accompany me along the bikeway to Redcliffe even though she had previously found the majority of the caches along there. Great way to spend the morning. We took a different route home to pick up a few extra caches including this one. English lesson and a cache! Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC barbbowman
I haven’t been in here before so it was nice to bring the bikes in for a little exploration. As we rode along towards GZ, we could hear the stridulations of various creatures around us, and I think they brought us luck because we found the geocache very quickly and easily.

The daily caching trip, brought the bike to the North side to log some of the caches along the trails and bikeways, saving time and for here keeping clear of the mozzies.
A quick find here, a few legs got caught in the log!
Thank you for hiding this cache Barbbowman

I see I was not fast enough to grab the unloved on this one. The great unloved hunter, aka chamad, has beaten me yet again :p.
Lovely walk this afternoon, socially distant of course. I've been here chasing caches before, but at that time this cache had been muggled. Today I avenged the situation and managed to find the cache. There is no log - unfortunately I didn't bring my spares! Sorry Barb. The cache container was very clever .
I note some new signs have been constructed around GZ, indicating that the unofficial tracks and associated bushland were closed to the public and under surveillance. We stuck to the main path all the way to GZ, so should be OK.
All up, a great escape from the mundane environment of working from home!
TFTC - and a TB visit while I am here.

The email came out and I also received a text that this cache had been replaced. Oh yeah 18 months of lovin to chase
On my way to grab this one I stopped at another that was also just replaced, 3 years in one day could it happen
However spending an hour at the first with no success and light fading it was off to chase this one. At gz I was confronted with a good size brown snake sitting right where I wanted to go. I’ll be honest it scared the crap out of me and I squealed like a school girl lol. But it moved on and I searched for my prize. An easier find in a spot that you’d expect a critter to live.
So happy with the find and was off to gather another that I passed to get this one.
A note of warning. At the next cache was also another brown but smaller snake. Please be careful in this area as they are on the move.
Thanks barb for placing and replacing this cache and keeping it s as live.

Wolfgang thinks he can outsmart me. I know he’s in town. Angua’s hackles have been up all week. I might have missed him this time, but I’m a copper - we know how to wait!
A sneak out for a few caches in two specific zones today. This was to be my first cache of the day but ended up being my first DNF instead. Looked all around - some rather likely hides here - but found nothing here today.
On a beautiful winter no-work-Monday we took our bikes to explore this little area we've never been before. Nice cache and container, though the log is soaked. TFTC
Surprisingly, log is quite damp, so with the weather now somewhat less humid, I left the top a bit loose so it may dry some. Another quick find & TFTC
My 120th Barbbowman cache
I was looking for a small walk to do - and I decided to grab a couple of caches in this area.
Despite already having done "Tripitaka", I decided to come in from the south.
It was a nice walk in over the wonky boardwalk toward GZ. My smartphone - which seems to be remarkably more accurate these days stopped me in a likely area.
I soon found the prize safe and sound and hidden well by the previous finder. I signed the log and re-hid the cache as found.
This is a great little area. I had been here previously for an archived cache that was - alas - gone

TFTC...18/9/17. Out with Tough Mothers bennyboppers, mnance101 and her geokids. Found a bit of log sheet, no container. Left baggie with new paper. Needs intervention.
