Nice spot. Found after q couple minutes searching. Hint put me off a tiny bit, I was looking waaaay to high. TFTC# 146
Found the newer cache first, then as I was about to leave spotted the other one around the opposite side, so signed them both, TFTC
Seems we found the original cache first, img it was hard getting my arm into the space! With the last log being 2017 I think the tree had enclosed it a little! Then we found the replacement which was much easier! My arm will be bruised tomorrow! Photo of cache last found in 2017!
After reading the logs on this one I was quite apprehensive however as it turns out it was pretty quick and easy to find. Thanks for placing this one.
14:57 FITW ObnoxiousSpaceCat, GummiVenusHad to avenge this DNF from last year, after hearing that the cache is still in place. Sure enough, it is! Just have to sort through some tree litter Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, corunnaroad!#10735
Found with Gummi_Venus and ivssxx. Just a bit of digging around in the obvious place and ivss made the grab.
Out today with MomsOB finding some caches for my Bakers Dozen challenge. MOB made a quick find. She must have her caching sensor on today. Thanks for the cache.
Found with my dad who is here on holiday! It is a very lovely church. Thank you for the cache that made me visit such a nice place.
Are use one of the local tools available to run uncover the Geocache. I took a picture to confirm my find and noticed that I was the first to sign the replacement log. Thanks for the fun and interesting location.
Hi corunnaroadThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
DNFUnfortunately no luck here. There might have been some pruning done since the last replacement...Needs a check from CO/guardian.
Took us around 10 minutes to dig all around the upper tree area. Unfortunately, it’s either gone of buried too deep. Any updates on this one would be great as according to the comments it was found a long time ago
We had visited this a while back when it was missing, without recording the DNF. Glad to see that it has been replaced. A quick find today. TFTC!

Someone was in caching mood today. So decided to go around and pick a few in this perfect weather. With the help of the previous logs we were able to find this one after bit of digging around. TFTC.

We spent ages and ages here. We circled and scratched and expanded and contracted. Read logs, knew it had to be there. Got sticks and started digging and clearing and finally macwatt had it in hand. Thanks for the sneaky well buried cache corunnaroad
We searched and searched and searched but we found nothing and since this was our first cache of the day, eventually we had to give up and move on. Caching with Beeba.

We would like to add our THANKS to those of the Cache Owner - Christchurch certainly has an abundance of active cache placers that are missing in a lot of other areas! Quick, easy find here - TFTC

A lucky rescue find - cache was lying exposed on the ground. We tucked it safely back where it needed to be TFTC
Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
We have another one of those punishing plans to cache until we drop - An early morning start with the hope that we'll finish at a reasonable time... From South Christchurch, we took Highway 1 and crossed the Waimakariri River into Northern Christchurch... Off to a quick start with this hide. It just required slight excavation... Thanks corunnaroad and TFTC.

After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with EyeSpyBen we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region

Had a go at this when passing but no joy for me today. Shame as I was keen for another NZ corunnaroad cache after my NT ones. Hi Kerry
First find of the day, and second time here for me.
First was a DNF.
Noticed it had been maintained, so that is all good and it was a quick find in the obvious spot.
Will be head height for some, but lower than that for me.
TFTC corunnaroad.
Heading back to Blenheim today, but first port of call before that was the Ohoka farmers market near where my younger sister lives, which is interestingly held on a Friday.
It’s quite good as well. Bought some plants and smallgoods.
Four of us descended here for a bit of a look around and some brunch before I headed north.
I grabbed a few caches on the way.
A look at some in Kaiapoi before a quick stop in Kaikoura to stretch the legs.
And that was it. Highlight of the day was bumping into BaldEd - always good to put a face to the name.
TFTC all the COs.

Found with the kids today, on one very hot day out in Oxford.

Great little spot which we liked a lot!
The possible hiding places seemed to be somehow obvious, but we did not find the container there. But maybe we just were wron where to seach.

We were walking everywhere but finally found it. It was my friend’s first time and now she is hooked on geocaching! Thanks for the great cache!
When you have pretty cool friends who have pretty cool sisters you get to go to pretty cool places.
First cache of the day with a hopefully converted muggle from Wellington. Tftc
Been past here so many times, didn’t know there was a church and grave yard.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
This was a previous dnf so happy to find it. And left something to start swapping.
TFTC - have a spare afternoon around Christchurch to find some caches and explore some new areas

Absolutely I wish to thank the CHCH cachers as well. I have had my best ever week caching and obviously I could not have done that without everyones effort of putting caches out for us to find. This is a lovely building and a great tree. TFTC
