Thanks for your amazing cache vectis. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Lost my hat 3 times due to high wind. 2nd or 3rd time looking for this elusive lighter so given it a favorite from me. Found with Fisha1288. Cheers, Cympull.
Yay, my 2nd cache today. Such a neat place for a ride. No pen to log ot so rook a photo. TFTC
Thanks for hiding this cache vectis I appreciate it. JDScout and I are spending 15 days traveling up to the Coromandel from our home in Christchurch. We are taking our camper van and E bikes. Our journey up and back will include a few stops. We spent 4.5 days driving up. Then we will spend 8.5 in The Coromandel district. Today is day 10
Out for a stroll after dinner. As a prior logger said a bit further than you think and 2 girls were pushing their bikes up the hill we kept going when we got to nil and with absolute luck had a QEF. Tpvsl NINO TFTC
Away for the weekend to ride a section of the Hauraki Rail Trail from Waihi. This afforded me the opportunity to snag some caches en route. I looked on the way out and I looked on the way back. Nothing doing. Thanks vectis#5073Logged using Cachly.
Nice to turn the last of our ride back from Waikino in to a smiley face. A quick find and TFTC
I was thinking the detritus was looking like cache cover, and then Return2nai handed it to me, so we were both right, haha. TFTC!
I headed off for my morning walk and I thought it would be a good opportunity to grab a few more caches in the area. Got to GZ and couldn't find anything that matched the clue so I widened my search and there it was. Very quiet on the HRT so doing the cache duties was very easy.
Must say I was impressed with how the logbook was stored, I wish more people would use a method like this as it does a great job of keeping the logbook dry.
Rehid as found.
TFTC,
GammaPiSigma.

Cycling the HRT from Paeroa to Waihi on a cloudy, rainy and sunny day. Lots of privet in flower, so we were pleased to have a quick find here before continuing on our bikes. TFTC
Cords a bit off but easy enough to find. Thank you.
Sorry to log this so late. Found it in drafts, from an outing last October.

Enjoying caching in Waihi.
We walked down this path.
I found after we widen our search.
Thanks for the new log.

Thanks for the new log.
We were staying in the area so headed here before the forecasted rain set in. My gz was in the middle of the path so we expanded our search and found the cache with a nice new log, TFTC
At long last I have a working e-bike and can get out on the trail again, despite my knees being pretty awful. This one was not where it should be so I have replaced it with a new one.
Last rode this trail in April 2015 but with the geo-kids being quite small at the time we had to stop halfway so never got the caches at this end. This was a chance for me to tidy them up and NurseDr and B4Dawn to get them all.
Unfortunately no luck for us here today - we assume with all the path upgrades the tree has actually been uprooted and has gone .

No luck finding this one, wondering if it may have been disturbed when they laid the concrete a few months ago.
Cache tucked away nicely. Wet getting to it. Had to wait for the rain to stop. Tftc
The Hauraki Rail Trail is closed while the Covid 19 rahui is in place. Anyone geocaching during this time is putting themselves and others at risk by handling the containers, stash and logs. So this cache is disabled until this present emergency ends. I reserve the right to disable any logs dated after the lockdown started.
It was completely on a whim that we headed down Lawrence Road and back as part of geo-pup Meg's afternoon walk. We don't live far away and usually head in other directions to get a longer walk in, as Lawrence Road is a cul-de-sac and dog's aren't allowed on this section of the rail trail from Waihi to Waikino. Anyhoo, remembering that there is a series that starts around here, Mrs RW fired up c:geo and found that we were extremely close to the first one. So we all sneaked a few metres along the forbidden trail and retrieved the cache. At which point we realised that neither of us had a pen. So, Mrs RW scratched a wonky RW on the logbook with a sharp stone and we took the attached photo as well. Hopefully that will be enough for us to claim the find, but we will pop back soon with a pen and do the job properly,
EDIT 14/09/2019: log now duly and properly signed in pen!

Nice quick find after having to look at the hint! We managed to avoid the cycling muggles and re-hid as found. TFTC!
There were a few muggle cyclists around so we had to wait for them to pass but once the coast was clear we made a quick find.
Thanks vectis for this and all the caches you have placed on the trail. This was a great one to finish on.

First cache on my in-and-out, not too long 'cos I haven't been on a bike for a while, ride on the HRT. A qef, thanks.
Found during my third visit on HRT. This time most beautiful section. Section C: Paeroa to Waihi. This time 46km on my bike. Enjoyed so much!
Quick find at GZ. TFTC

The wife was to busy banging her cycle helmet into the tree to notice the cache in front of her nose, but we got there in the end.
Easy find while our tramping group, tramped from Waihi to Waikino Station
and get the train back to our cars at Waihi. Had a great day weather was very warm and cloudy.
Had a quick walk around mining area

Find #2861. Biked the HRT from Waihi to Paeroa return while on a winter holiday. 58km later, back where I started this morning. Great trail, thoroughly enjoyed it but chose not to find some caches in random spots. TFTC
One of eight caches located on our bike ride this afternoon between Waikino and Waihi. Great day for it. Started looking on wrong side of track but didn’t take long to switch to other side and spot the goods. #1865. TFTC.
First of HRT cluster for the day, biking Waihi to Paeroa and return. Managed to fit in a train whistle. TFTC!
quick find this time round. helps if you have the correct details when you go to look. TFTC
Kiwis69 and myself are doing the HRT the long, yet less painful way. We have done one section previous and it was decided that it was time to tackle another chunk of the trail. We picked to cycle from Waihi - Paeroa as there was a slight time restraint, plus it was the shorter option and I was worried since it had been awhile since I had some serious seat time. All up it took us 4.5hr (which included a lot of hunting at some caches and a few breaks)
Once we had the cars sorted, and then the bikes sorted it was time to hit the trail. The weather forecast was average today and we hoped that would keep the muggles away. Well there were still quite a few muggles out and about but not as bad as it could be so we managed to time our hunting inbetween people passing by.
A quick find here, here's hoping the rest go this smoothly! Thanks for the hides and giving us some welcome breather stops!

It's nearly 4 years to the day since our usual caching cronies cycled the HRT trail but without 11hpg11 & myself being part of the group. Today, its finally our turn! Decided to be kind to ourselves post-Xmas & New Year festivities and just focus on cycling the Waihi - Paeroa section today. Took us 4.5 hrs including all stops (sub 4 hrs is very realistic if you find it easier to call a DNF than we do!) This one was a nice quick find - 11hgh11 had retrieved while I was still getting my GPS to warm up, TFTC
Pretty quick find. Needed to use some natural tools to find out though. Nice area.
Found this without doing the HRT, but that's definitely on my bucket list. Ftf replacement cache. Tftc
Day four of my break here in the Waikato and it is time to say goodbye to my little tank room that has been home for the past three nights. Packed up and decided to head into Hamilton to attend the CITO and vote, before heading through Karangahake Gorge to Waihi, through to my final destination of Mount Maunganui - caching on the way of course.
Arrived in Waihi which has the main goal for the day, the caches near the Martha Mine. However, there's a few to collect on the way in. This was a quick find, once the cyclists starting the trail had moved on. TFTC

Headed over this way to do part of the trail sadly the weather is crap but happy to continue. Thanks so much for the smiles was still a great day.
Great views and a cool tunnel too.

On a mission today with Dee+ME, a beautiful winters day for a great bike ride along this fabulous track, love the history in this area. This was our first for the day, a nice quick grab, many thanks.
Start of a two day adventure to complete the three legs of the rail trail with gernita using e-bikes to get around. We signed the logs with gernaze to save time and space.
A big thank you Vectis for all the hard work in setting up the caches that we have enjoyed today. This is where we parked our car this morning, and this was our final cache of the day. 9 finds and 2 DNF's ... and a most enjoyable day's outing. Thank you!
I am now working the HRT from this end on foot. This was a nice start to the walk. TFTC.
On a road trip around the Coromandel. It took a couple of searches but cache soon in hand. TFTC.
I was out for the day cycling the Hauraki Rail Trail from Paeroa to Waihi with the kids and picking up a few caches along the way (alas not all of them as there just wasn't enough time ) This was the tenth and final find of the day as we had a few bike issues... the pedal broke off my bike and the chain snapped on my son's bike Luckily we were at the end of the trail so I guess we'll have to come back to complete the other caches! TFTC!
After planning a trip to the bay of plenty for easter to gather a cache or two, it changed dramatically (we thought) when we heard that cyclone cook was about to bear down on this area our hopes had dropped .
But no almost the complete opposite, so after getting bike and body sorted it was to the start we went and ride the HRT trail, we started in thames and the plan was to ride to te aroha if the body allowed.
Nice quick find here exactly where and how it should be.
Thanks for the smiley and the placement.
The end is here and nearly the end of me that has been a huge day out, my legs are all but shattered but what an awesome array of caches thank-you very much for the placement of every single one of them vectis.
sorry for the copy and paste.

Today we decided to hike this trail..... We started at the "HRT start" and walked to "Victoria Battery" and turned around and came back. While we were hiking we had to stopped on the way to search for geocaches that was hidden on this scenic route. We had a lot of fun
Thanks for bringing us to this part of Waihi.

Didnt find it but only because dipstick me wrote down the hint wrong so was looking in all the wrong places. Such a great trail though I will have to come back and to this one properly. Bugger
More of the HRT series of caches. Today was from Waihi to Waikino. First HRT cache today. Thanks for placing the series vectis.
End of the trail and now time to head back to Karangahake. Thanks for a great series of caches. TFTC
Wave 2 the people on the train as it goes by The hint really helped me with this cache TFTC
Last find for the day, we have completed this section of the Hauraki Cycle way between Paeroa and Waihi A great series, only a few where wet, but was able to sign all. Thanks again for creating these series of hides.
Out with Rustynz, Out playing on the bike with friends and Family having a fun time in the sun. This is the finish of the trail for us today great experience thanks for the caches along the way TFTC
Decided as it was such a lovely day that we should do the cycle from Waihi to Paeroa. Have to admit - I thought it would take longer... admittedly, that left more time to find caches on the way back!
Paper is now unwritable. If I'm over next weekend, I'll replace it for you.

Biking from Paeroa to Waihi and caching along the way. This was my turnaround point. Found the cache with the help of the hint. The log sheet is pretty tattered and could use a replacement. I signed as 'mdf' on the back. Thanks for the hide!
Quick find, signed and back it is.
What a great day, perfect weather for this walk, even had a swim in the river.
Big thanks for bringing us to this trail!!
