There is a big subdivision going up very near GZ. This area is no longer suitable for a geocache.
On another great road trip with tmann421 checking out the sights and caches of Christchurch.

Didn't expect it to be too easy when I saw the ivy but straight in and I had it. Nice fresh log signed and replaced. Tftc
Took a few minutes searching to find. It turned out it was exactly where I thought it would be but it was much lower than I thought. Tftc.
Since I have been working on getting my dot days up so many of the caches that have gone out since I stopped my streak seem to be yours
Last full day of caching before the plane trip home. Really enjoyed my tour of Rangiora today..Thank you %owner for placing and maintaining this cache.
Came down to Christchurch for the 2015 MEGA with a group of caching buddies for the weekend. My first MEGA, and it was fantastic- loved every minute, the caching, the events, meeting other like-minded crazies (sorry, I mean cachers!!!). Our group found 283 caches throughout the course of the of the weekend, so apologies for the cut and paste logs- but it's going to take me hours to log them all!!!! All logs were signed as SEAC (South East Auckland Crew), to reflect our home caching base!
HUGE thanks to all involved in putting on the MEGA event, and also to all of the Chch CO's for the effort gone to in their hides- we found some awesome caches, including fantastic hides, and cleverly done camo.... well done Christchurch, you're an awesome bunch!
Day four of our MEGA trip, and our mission today was to find as many caches as we could before we had to get to the airport for our flight home. Stopped for this one along our route. Was a very quick find, as it was a little exposed. Covered a little better. TFTC!

Day four and final day of our MEGA weekend and having to drop the cars off before our flight home in a few hours, so time for just a few more caches....

Part of the “South East Auckland Crew” here for the Christchurch Mega. All logs done as “SEAC”. Sorry for the Generic logs…but when logging 200 in a day it can be a bit much. But thank you so much for placing all these awesome caches
Day 4 of our epic journey from Auckland to the Christchurch MEGA. The South East Auckland Crew (SEAC) was formed for the weekend. Our last day saw us with a couple of free hours to cache on our way to the airport. We made the most of this and at times we were running between caches.
Sorry for the cut and paste logs but we would like to extend many thanks to the local CO’s for their imagination and creativity!

Kyzabra and I headed over for the Christchurch Mega from Perth, WA. We teamed up with our caching buddies from Queensland, Gunnie69 and GhostGums for a bulk of the finds.
A lot of planning was involved with literally hundreds of puzzles solved and we targeted some highly favorited caches as well as those that filled gaps in grids and calenders!
We had a fantastic time caching in the cooler climate and with no fear of snakes or other nasties! Christchurch is my old home town but I did not know about caching when I lived there so it was fun exploring the City with a different objective.
We were glad to grab the smiley on this one and we replaced the container as found. Thanks Nosynel for placing this and bringing us to this spot!
This is my find #4091 and find #3 today.

A nice quick find here just after landing.
A caching expedition that has been months in the planning. Jinta29 and I headed over from Perth, and met up with Gunnie69 and GhostGums from QLD over here.
Our combined brain powers in the months leading up meant we were able to concentrate on the mysteries, and other unique Icons plus a number key D/T combos and jasmar dates.
We have had a ball over here. Personally my first trip to NZ. The cache owners have been great and Ive enjoyed meeting people aling the way.
i apologise in advance for the generic log.

A quick drive-by grab with The Seagnoid. The camo colour blends in well. Thanks Nosynel.

After I finished my work meetings for the day I still had time for a few caches before heading to the airport and home. Last cache for me to find today. I thought it might be tricky but luckily I found it in the first place I looked. TFTC, Biggles.

Now that my study has started it's been pretty difficult to keep my streak going, but I've managed so far - this made day 113. Luckily it was close-ish to work and an easy find. Phew!

Pulled over to eat lunch on the way back to the office. Switched the old GPS on 123m to cache. Sweet. Quick find at GZ and an unexpected bonus to a lunch break. TFTC.
6955. A quick and easy find on a busy road. We wondered what the truck driver sitting in his cab some distance back down the road made of it all. He drove away before we did so it seemed okay. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Had attempted this one earlier in the year but too many cars prevented a thorough search. Tonight, different story! Easy find when there's no traffic. Caitie15 had barely gotten out of the car when I had it in hand! Signed log and popped it back in place.
This cache certainly wasnt in this spot when I looked last time, So glad to have it off my list.TFT. Cheers Bo
Busy road with fast traffic, but Miss Wicm Jnr ducked down and made it an easy find. TFTC!
Felt a bit conspicuous on this busy road in rush hour traffic but geocaching sense took me straight to the spot, phew! TFTC
#904: Out on a long Saturday walk with caching as main objective today. This one was right on the spot. Grabbed a TB. TFTC!

FINALLY A FIND!!!
Don't you hate it when you just can't seem to find a cache for the day!!!
I had been to a BBQ/party with some work colleagues, and left with the intention of finding my cache for the day on the way home. Easy task. Far away from the home field, so a plenty to find!
Two DNFs brought me here though... and it was getting late.
Luckily, hopped out of the car for an instantaneous find here!!
Consec caching day # 524

Found as I cycled back to Northwood after visiting the No Vampires Here cache. Quite a lot of traffic on the nearby road and so I had to judge my moments to search for the cache. Still, it was a reasonably quick find - found in the third place I looked. TFTC.
TFTC. I was just around the corner and thought I really should do just one more cache. Initially I was a little daunted when I pulled up and saw all of the wild berry canes. I don't need to worry - a speedy find and nowhere near anything prickly!!
Thanks for placing this cache.
Dropped off TB.

Quick find. Didn't really fancy having to search tediously amongst all the ivy, but fortunately it didn't come to that. Pretty much the first place I looked. #394. TFTC.
I was around the corner, with ABBA and noticed that this was nearby.
My latest encounter with a Kea was west of Arthurs Pass a few days ago, when one had a go at stripping my car aerial...

Keas are the only alpine parrots in the world and they appear quite intelligent. There aren't as many as there appears either. Orana is a good place to see them. Thanks for the cache.
