The CO of this cache had accosted me up at the event in the Bluies earlier in the day, asking whether I would be interested in looking for the other caches that someone had put out, using a similar naming style. It looked like those could possibly be a bit of a bush-bash. Although I was still planning on heading up to Cessnock for a camping event later in the day, I thought this could be a fun series. This cache was down an easy track, and it proved to be an easy find, too. Fortunately, I didn't need any help, hints or prompts from the CO, nor from gavingo4, a previous finder, who was also along to look for the other caches. All was good with the cache. Name added and everything put back as found. Then the serious adventure began.
Great day to be out! Gave up on the gps as it was bouncing around - decided upon geo sense instead ! Soon had CIH. Tftc!
Meet up for breakfast with Team Canary, Brewmaker and Martin Cousins. It appears we didnt eat enough as we went hunting food caches. A good but at times strenuous bush bash that the pedometers said was not that far or hard. Some tough hides and even a wallaby spotted. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
OCW with Team Canary, Martin Cousins, and bella at waggy. After grabbing some breakfast in Springwood, we decided we needed more sustenance in the bush and a really decent bush bash, too! Finally, back to the main track where a quick find of this oldy was made. TFTC
Sunset cache find, the original one that soon inspired the new series of six caches to the south. Better head home and grab more supplies of eggs and bacon from Winmalee.Signed log with TBs Canadian Flag, Pittiplatsc, Corona Express Cruise Ship, USA Bear and Manon Ozzieland in tow.
Good find on Girl Guide camp. Led 4 groups of girls out there to locate over the weekend. We put a badge in there. Great fun. Thanks
MrT did some SES training out at Yellowrock this morning and decideded to do this cache on his way home. At GZ he found the cache container on the ground in the open. We have sent a photo to the CO to make sure it was replaced in the right location. TFTC
An easy find that we think had slid out from its camo as it was just sitting out in the open. Have replaced back within the hiding spot (approx 10cm from where we found it). Did not know about this track so thanks for bringing us here!
Cache has been dried out. Please do not hide in a new spot. There is no reason for this cache to get wet if hidden properly. Do not let children re-hide. Supervise if not placing back yourself. bisygisy

Nice find but logbook is soaking wet just managed to scrawl our names in it

Needed a quick find today towards the Fill the Calendar challenge cache. This one fitted the bill nicely. Lovely bush area.
Grabbing a few easy to get to caches I stopped in here to take a look for this hide,at GZ it looked very familiar,I think ive been here before?
I noticed something not quite natural and soon found what I was looking for...Nice one!
Thanks Bisygisy for the cache

Attempted the cache nearby 'An Off-Road Adventure #2 - Sans 4WD?' from the access point over the road, but the rain got the better of me. Back to the car, this cache was a stone's throw away, so I couldn't resist. Wasn't too hard to find even with light rain, and good to turn this into a smiley after passing it many times. TFTC.
Visited this one twice after leaving my phone. Might have to visit again at some point and see where track goes. TFTC
Followed the fire trail 50m before leaving the trail and rock hopped to GZ where quick find was made, thanks for the hide
For this cloudy day we have some target caches and other random around Penrith.
With a name like this one we have to find the cache. At GZ quick find.

11/5/17. 12:35 PM. Cache #5001.
7th of 8 finds today - Mount Riverview, Yellow Rock & Winmalee.
With the milestone cache out of the way (just finished off a great puzzle cache series, with the finale not too far away), I still had time to get some more, and headed off to this cache next. I started walking up the hill on the wrong path, but didn't take too long to notice my mistake and spot the right track further away.
I headed over that way and this one led me straight to GZ. Once I got there, I spotted the hide soon after leaving the track and went in for the grab. Signed, replaced and then considered next options. "I refreshed "On the way to Winmalee", only to see that it had been disabled. Nearby, "Under the Tall Timbers" looked like a good option, so I headed to that one. TFTC.

This one is a little out of the way but we managed to negotiate our way to the trackhead and strolled the short distance to the search area. The GPS was right on zero when I reached for the container, that doesn't often happen. Thanks bisygisy for a good hide in an interesting location.
I tried to find this when we first started geocaching but no luck. Today it was in the first spot i looked. TFTC bisygisy.

Headed out west for my cache run today into an area I've never been before. Grabbed this one on the way back out. Easy parking and a short stroll along the path, finished off with a quick find on this hot morning.

Streak Day #1209 - Since dave8153 and i were up this way, him at a meeting and i at a friends place we decided to stop here to do a cache and it was a quick find. TFTC
Since snoopy1976 and I were in the area we decided to head to this one and after a short stroll in the darkness and a short search had CIH. TFTC
The pressure was on to maintain the perfect record for this cache. After 15 minutes of searching we were about to declare a DNF, when we checked behind one last #### and there it was. TFTC
Took a litte bit to find. Nice hide.

Back in the area for a visit to my son who lives in Glenmore Park and after finding my last Heart Series cache it was time to find a few more while I am here.
As I passed this guy earlier it was time to stop and have a look so after finding a safe pull over spot and then a short wander along the track and the hunt started.
I wandered around in circles for a while but then came back to where I started and then the well hidden cache was spotted, signed and then I was off to the next on my list for the days caching.
Thanks bisygisy for showing me this area and for placing this cache.

Found this cache after following a nice little track and then looking around for an indication of a typical cache hide which was quickly spotted. After signing the log it was then back to the geo vehicle and on to the next find for the day. TFTC.
Out with JJCC in order to pick up our daily cache to keep our current streak going.
Parking our car on the side of Singles Ridge Road, we immediately started walking into the bush, but then came across a fire trail which we could of followed just a little bit up the hill from where we parked the car. Following the track to within 10-15 metres of GZ, we again headed bush and the GPSr took us to the top of a small rock ridge where we begun our search. Not finding anything we then decided to widen our search and found some likely positions but again didn't find anything. One spot kept calling out to us and after several attempts we checked it again but this time we completely removed something and the cache was revealed - nice
With the cache now safely in hand we both signed the our names and replaced the cache container as found.
TNLN. One TBs visited - Vanlith The Youngling
Both the cache container and log are in good condition. TFTC bisygisy

Out with Team Merlin to keep our current streak going.
Parking to the indicated coordinates to located the cache Fried Eggs and Bacon. Now on foot we head down a track towards GZ. With no luck initially we then widened our search still no luck until we retraced our steps looking where we had already been. Relieving the hidden cache. With the cache now in hand we both signed our names and replaced the cache container as found. Both the log and cache container are in good condition.

Quick easy find, TFTC on our way through after finishing the heart series great day for caching.
While we were in the area we did some caches, this been one of them, Im sure we have done this one on a privies time, TFTC
found this after a short walk and a small scramble. Didn't find it on first inspection but the GPS kept indicating back to a spot. On a second inspection the cache was located. Signed in company with Celtical. tftc
Found on a day out caching with Lucky 1955 - we were doing the second half of the heart puzzle caches.
Went past it a few times - sneaky!!

GazMag and I headed into the lower mountains today in search of a few caches. This cache was the starting point and was eventually found without any trouble after initially walking straight passed the obvious spot.
A morning out caching with AMGSARI brought us to this cache.
I have been here before, thanks bisygisy for replacing the cache after the bush fires.

Great day out for caching - enjoyed the travelling with Everlasting and skyejam. Thanks for the cache around here
Wow loved this area - admired the steps (see pic). Signed the log with sevabo and skyejam. Thanks Bisygisy.
While I often return for fried eggs and bacon for breakfast, a return to try and finally find this cache is something that I will not have to repeat.
I had a change in plans for caching today as a sudden downpour made the areas I hoped to cache too dangerous, instead I hoped to find the rest in this area. This one in particular had many obvious hiding places, but the cache was just too well hidden to find at first. After taking a phone call, while scrambling around (in the rain) I finally completely uncovered the cache.
Thanks for the somewhat difficult easy hide.

This is quite a tricky hide. We didn't see it the first time we checked what looked a likely spot, but got it in the end. Thanks for the cache bisygisy.
It looks like a bit of a dumping ground on the way in but the environment improves as you near GZ. The cache is very well hidden, simple but effective. SL TFTC
Its a good place to hide it !!. Thanks 4 a kewl hide in a hot area. Great sandstone everywhere, i like that.

Decided to head north west to pick up a few specific caches. Then thought "Why not" and went for a cache that may or may not be there...
* * * END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION * * *
Last find of the day.
Approaching GZ I spotted something suss. Went to check it, and must have moved it the only way possible that didn't uncover the cache. Yes, right first time.
But seeing nothing, and having my iPhone decide to point a few metres away, I kept looking.
As a few raindrops started to fall, I came back to the suss spot and looked properly.
CIH!
Completed signing duties, replaced and headed home.

It took a while as I dismissed the obvious spot at first, then...Oh, there you are.

Out dropping some things off for dad today at yellowrock so I thought I'd get a smiley or 2, TFTC!
I'm a cereal man, myself, but I came back for a second helping of this republished cache. Last time I did it I think it was dark. Thanks
#2508- i had always left doing this cache since the 'Residents only' signs, until recently, had still been up after the fires of October last year. They have since been removed.
I had not intended to go for this cache today, but having to head out to the kids school to drop my son off after an appointment and being stuck in the traffic jam caused by an accident on the freeway, I looked for ways to fill in time to avoid sitting in traffic again. This was going to fill my Friday- the last calendar day to go, but now I'll choose something else for that.
Anyway a nice, quick find after the shopping too, before heading back. The traffic is still horrendous, even after 4 hours. Thanks.

Showing the visiting dad around the burnt mountains, we stopped to see if we could grab this relocated cache.
Now, I could say that I didn't see the reason behind listing a new cache here but simply a replacement container and maybe a change of coords would have sufficed, but I'm always up for finding a cache, regardless of whether it's been found before!
Anyway, hunted around for a few minutes before trusting the gps and trying not to overthink the hiding of the cache. Knowing the CO, I tried to think about the way he hides his and bingo, within a minute, I'd found the cache!! Tricky little hide and a fair chance if surviving the next bush fire I would think!
Signed the log and headed home for lunch.

Took a little longer than I was hoping for for a drive by find today, but in the end, it wasnt very much trouble. TFTC.
Following a Bad Gurl Stinky DNF experience, this was an easy consolation - see, it does not need to be 'that' hard!
Good to see the water sparkle on fresh green gums asproutin' everywhere. TFTC

Now this cache had me searching every little hidy hole possible here and after 15 minutes of looking I came up with the goods. Didn't realize that my legs had blackened due to all the charcoal around looking for this cache. Thanks for the hide and a beautiful part of the world despite it been burnt out.

After finding the previous cache before the fires, I figured this one would be a pretty easy one to add to the list for today.
Got to the GZ with jg.designs after a short walk from the geomobile. Good to see the area hasn't been used for too much illegal dumping lately!!
Reached in, dusted off the dirt and pulled out a geocache "Bacon and Eggs", placed in 2012. Flipped the lid (which had been slightly damaged by fire and had one clip melted on which acted as a hinge) and pulled out the log to sign.
"Found by joegleeson_25 on 7 October 2013" hang on, I thought that was the old cache. A quick flip through the log book and no mention of more recent finds by Team Canary, pandsa, James Creer, pjmpjm, or rogerw3.
Thinking that was a little strange, I moved some more rocks to find another geocache "Fried Eggs and Bacon". This log had been signed much more recently by those other cachers.
Turns out I'd found both the old cache and the new cache.
Signed the new log, transferred the swaps from the old cache into the new one & replaced the cache to it's spot. (Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not sure If I put the new cache back into it's spot or the spot where the old cache was sitting [coordinates are still accurate either way]).
Dropped the old cache container and the log book back to the CO's house on the way home.
