We headed over to the west of Wonthaggi today to go for a walk amongst the bushland and attempt some caches that had gone unfound by us for some time.
Two searches took place on the way along the trail and the way back, but no luck on either.
Given the gap since its last find and previous comments suggesting it's not where it's meant to be, there's a chance it mightn't still be here at all.
Best of luck to future seekers, and thanks for the placement nonetheless lozza311 and cazza_thats_me!

Set off for a walking today around the turbines as I had the day off and the weather was sunshine and showers. My focus was the Baxter Pirate series. With the carnival underway, like others the way to get points is to target favourite caches
Soon there will be no evil on this one. Disintegrated quite a bit. Branch come off the tree. Placed to be found by next searcher. Thanks.

Found by Mary and David at 1740. Couldn't get this one open on our way in so, after finding #2, returned to the GeoPrado for a suitable tool. With the aid of the tool, and some wire on a nearby fence post, managed to get the container open and signed the log - the first entry on it since late 2016. Reassembled everything, but not quite as tight as before. Our thanks to lozza311.
I found this on the way back from the others, as previous logs mentioned it appears rusted shut, I was unable to open the thing - so i signed the cache itself
I think it has fallen from its cable tied spot in the tree.

Probably too easy. Found on ground visible from track so placed it nearby but not so visible and lightly covered. Love the cache. It's getting a bit worse for wear.
Found with Eudes on a long bushwalk through the area. We thought we could hear a theme emerging as we signed the log at 11:25am.
thanks lozza311
thanks lozza311
The others had taken a wrong turn and that bought Al and me a bit of time (although I still reckon we would have tried for it anyway ). I think something might have happened hear as it was sitting on the ground in plain sight when we spotted it at 11:25 so a CO check might be in order.
We agreed that we had picked up a theme on this group.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks lozza311, cazza_thats_me.

We shared the fun of this little series with Alansee and a zillion flies. There was very little talking as it was too risky to open your mouth! Not even the much maligned wind turbines could curb the persistence of the little Aussie icons. The tree's sap created a sticky earwax problem, a little 'spit and polish' soon had the log in hand.
Our thanks to lozza311 for bringing us to this location.

Found with Phetlern. This one caused us a few issues - it was a very easy find but sap from a certain source had sealed the container shut. A bit of this, a bit of that, and we managed to get it open.
#811 - Day three of my trip down the coast for some caching fun! Today I decided to attempt some hides from a variety of cachers and not Gonefishen07 exclusively.
After finishing my first walk of the day and collecting 17 finds, it was time to go on my second walk. After parking at the huge wind turbines at the end of Campbell street, I set off and was able to find 21 of the 26 caches that I set off to find.
Thank you to the CO's for the hides, I had a very fun walk with what was once again a wide variety of caches and hides as the sun went down.
All quiet at GZ, I wonder why! Tftc

Enjoying the walk and variety of caches. Found with SkiPair. Thanks for the exercise on a beautiful day.
Found with caching buddies KI Bug. We have a great system going, one of each couple look, find and sign log. The other pair electronically log as we go. Saves the write ups at the end of the day, and enables us to do reasonable logs. The real truth is that parts of each team search and sign logs while the other parts chat and complete onine logs. No more said!

See nothing know nothing. No real noise up here today except the hammering from the new house being built down the track. TFTC lozza311
The day was chilly & windy with a hint of rain, but geo-hubby still went for a bike ride to pick up some caches.
A good variety of caches were found, but a couple of logs were wet.
Many thanks for placing this cache, lozza311, in such a lovely area.

Found @ 8:37pm, find # 3804.
Tonight biggles1024 and I headed for Wonthaggi to find a few caches, as this area has many for us to find.
This one was found on our 7.5 km walk on a loop around and back to the car.
After a couple of DNF's it was good to be able to make a very quick find on this one. It was then a guess at which would be the next hide.

Find #1622
Tonight Stemicmitsar and I headed to Wonthaggi for a change of scenery. I seem to have lost my caching 'mojo' at this cache because it was Steve who found this and the next five or so. [B)]
A series with a difference.

[font=Comic Sans MS][Green]I'm heading eastwards on a day caching in and around Wonthaggi with Square_Pegs after leaving Melbourne early this morning before sunrise. Later on, I got the opportunity to find this cache in good condition and with spot on co-ordinates. What was that? Speak up! Hahahaha. Love it.
It's been too long since my last visit. Thanks lozza311 for making this an enjoyable day exploring

I wondered which of the three it would be, and as it stood out very nicely, I soon discovered which.
It is an amusing container indeed.
Thanks lozza311, cazza_thats_me for the cache.

What a strange container, lucky it didn't hear me coming.
Thanks for another cache with a laugh lozza311, simple find.

While enjoying our usual Easter break at Cape Patterson with friends I got a chance to do this walk. I did some of the other track yesterday and thought I would check out Baxters beach area. The men were at work today digging in that huge hole and I thought they may questioned where I was going but they took no notice. Again I have never been down into this area before so really enjoying a new area to see.
I find these great white skeletons a little spooky.
Nice easy find, here glad to see that sense of humour.
Thanks for the cache lozza311

We enjoyed the walk along this trail - tree cover provided dappled shade on a beautiful warm day. We saw no one else on the trail. The different hides certainly kept us entertained. This was one we were able to find. Thanks to lozza311 for placing this cache.
It was my monthly caching expedition with Biggles Bear today. With over 40 caches and only 3 DNF's, it was a successfuly day's caching. Enjoyed the container.
Thanks to lozza311 for the cache.

Slink1 and I decided we should take the ladies out for an airing so we took them with us caching today. Twas a great day for it so we headed down to Wonthaggi and surrounds balancing out priorities. We had a really good time. Many thanks to the cache owners for the placement and upkeep of the caches. TNLN TFTC SL
We took advantage of the great weather over the weekend and headed down to Wonthaggi with our ladies managing to check out a few beaches, dunes and generally had a wonderful time.
Really enjoyed the diverse as well as the difficult caches, actually managed to make short work of the difficult , luck on our side today. Overall the time away was very successful with the beach play and caching fun.

Melbourne parties Friday noon and returned Tuesday morning in Melbourne. I came here to make different trail of caches in the area. It was intense few days with my bike but very nice! I could find caches with superb camouflage, very good ideas from the cachers. This log will be the same for all caches that I made (sorry) But I want to congratulate in particular:
Nut bear & BorisB & Natasha for "Bay Trail" and "Red Hill Express" (Beautiful cover!)
The Three Amigos Geo for "The Pathway"
Gonefishen07 for the great "Rail Trail"
As well as other geocacher who I discovered several caches during these few days.
Thank you very much
Greetings from France
I will be at Mega event with my friend who just especially France also "Ckronos"

One of 70 caches found today during a day / night caching run. I headed down the Bass Hwy through Woolamai and Kilkundra and onto Wonthaggi where I spent most of the day. Once it was time to move on, I grabbed some dinner for the road and headed up north through the rolling hills of Kongwak, through Korrumburra, Strzelecki and Torwood before turning west, making my way to Lang Lang and then onto home.
The weather was perfect for caching and during the day I had just one DNF. I also managed to find a couple of caches needed for my D/T requirements. There were a nice variety of caches with some challenging walks and the trusty old bike came out on a couple of occasions. Plenty of great locations and some great scenery as well. Thanks to all the CO's who placed the caches I found today.
I had my bike with me today so decided to ride the circuit starting at 'Racing stripes' and finishing at 'Caz and Loz's cache'. I'm glad I did ride as it would've taken at lot longer than the two and a half hours it took me to find all the caches and arrive back at the car, just as it was almost dark. I enjoyed the ride and finding the great variety of novelty hides. The coords seemed to be out on a few occasions making finding some of the hides pretty tricky but I did manage to find them all in the end.
Found and log signed. TFTC.

Found at 7:50 AM GAFF1. Well - after doing the other 2, I knew what this was going to be . Looks a bit flimsy, however it certainly survived last nights storm.
Thanks lozza311.
Thanks lozza311.
I had figured out what this one would most likely be by the time we got to it seeing I had found what I assume was the other half of it a few days ago. I had wondered where it would turn up and here it is. After hearing all the noise near the caches closer to the wind turbines, this one was a pretty peaceful, but the flies were still thick. Nice series. Well done. TFTC
