A DNF for us today. We had a long hunt here but could not see the cache in the three trees that were in the location
With 4 sets of eyes and quite sometime spent here searching the only stripes we found today were the curious cows watching us.
Friday saw another caching trip planned, with the combined teams of The_Tritonz, Na'wal and myself. An early start was on the cards for the long journey to the Bass Coast. The weather was a mixed bag all day, with it changing from rain to sunshine frequently. The wind was very strong as well, but you have to expect that in this neck of the woods. Once again, there was great variety of hides. It's always a pleasure to cache here and we are already planning our next trip !!
With four pairs of eyes searching here, we still had no luck tonight. Thanks for the hunt lozza311.

Another easy find. Love the cache, but as The Rustys said, log in very poor condition and needs replacing. Managed to sign ok.
Found with The Rusty's on an early evening kangaroo spotting mission. Kids spotted emu as well. Thanks for the cute cache. Jazzmo (NZ)
I've been coming down to our caravan in Wonthaggi for years now but have never ventured past the first cache on this track. Tonight, while my sister and her family are over from NZ, we decided to come down here looking for kangaroos to show them. The kangaroos weren't as close to the road as they've been previous times I've been down here but there were absolutely loads of them out on the paddocks.
My sister jazzmo and I made fairly quick work of this while the muggle children and one husband walked ahead.
The log book has torn and is very flimsy but still places to sign. I've attached a pic of some wildlife crossing the road as we approached the parking spot...TFTC

Hi there lozza311.
We found your cache "Racing Stripes"at 12:03:00 PM today, & this now makes our find count 12651.
Geocaching is often referred to as treasure hunting, and today we did just that - we found four large, wonderfully crafted caches with plenty of gold and precious gems safely stashed inside the final one.
After finding the gold we completed the circuit walk to log a few other caches on our return trek to the car. We awarded this cache a favourite point for its novelty value.
Today we ended up logging 10 and DNFing 0 caches.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We shared the fun of this little series with Alansee and a zillion flies. There was very little conversation, as it was too risky to open your mouth! Not even the much maligned wind turbines could curb the persistence of the little Aussie icons. Our first... off and racing!
Our thanks to lozza311 for bringing us to this location.

#806 - Day three of my trip down the coast for some caching fun! Today I decided to attempt some hides from a variety of cachers and not Gonefishen07 exclusively.
After finishing my first walk of the day and collecting 17 finds, it was time to go on my second walk. After parking at the huge wind turbines at the end of Campbell street, I set off and was able to find 21 of the 26 caches that I set off to find.
Thank you to the CO's for the hides, I had a very fun walk with what was once again a wide variety of caches and hides as the sun went down.
Love all the ways that are used to hide a micro! Tftc

Great walk along here found this late at night after doing the nearby night cache log sheet is damp TFTC
We were racing with SkiPair to the end of today's and yesterday's trail. Looked in the wrong place first and then Mr Ski found a striped object hiding in an appropriate location. TNLNSL Thanks cazza.
The last one on this nice little walking track. We have enjoyed the walk and finding all but one along the way. The wind turbines are in full operation and doing a great job.
We had the opportunity to see one start up yesterday after workers emerged from the tower. There is even an old blade on the ground nearby. They are enormous.
TFTC and a wonderful series with some entertaining hides. We appreciate the effort

The day was chilly & windy with a hint of rain, but geo-hubby still went for a bike ride to pick up some caches.
A good variety of caches were found, but a couple of logs were wet.
Many thanks for placing this cache, lozza311, in such a lovely area.

Found @ 9:25pm, find # 3810.
Tonight biggles1024 and I headed for Wonthaggi to find a few caches, as this area has many for us to find.
This one was found on our 7.5 km walk on a loop around and back to the car.
This one was spotted upon approach to GZ, therefore it was a very quick find.
I had seen the movie so I could related to the cache name.
Thanks to cazza_thats_me lozza311 for placing this cache.

Tonight Stemicmitsar and I headed to Wonthaggi for a change of scenery. Quite a timely hide with the Melbourne Cup having just been run.

With the name, I anticipated this cache and was glad to see I was right. Had to look off into the distance before returning cache when some muggles wandered past.
Found with Eminor93. The log was quite wet so we sat it out to dry as we continued along the trail. Returned back the way we came and replaced the now dry log. TFTC.
Found with DoorMatt on a beautiful day of adventuring around Wonthaggi and surrounding areas. Log was quite damp but left it out to dry as we went and found other caches. Returned it to original hidey spot after a lovely walk along the trail. Tftc
Found this cache with tassieexpat a while ago but log didn't go through. Great walk and enjoyed exploring this new (to me) area. TFTC
[font=Comic Sans MS][Green]I'm heading eastwards on a day caching in and around Wonthaggi with Square_Pegs after leaving Melbourne early this morning before sunrise. Later on, I got the opportunity to find this cache in good condition.
It's been too long since my last visit. Thanks lozza311 for making this an enjoyable day exploring

Getting towards the end of this part of the trail, we found this cache in the second spot that we checked.
A nice little container, and somewhat familiar too.
Thanks for the cache.

this log book wet very wet, so unable to write log....but a good and quick find...tftc
Another quick find here, but sadly the log is mush, so I scribbled an X and was on my way.
Possibly from the persistant rain of yesterday. Thanks again lozza311

Out on another walk while the weather was on the improve. Found the cache, but the log was too wet to sign. Thanks for the cache.
We enjoyed the walk along this trail - tree cover provided dappled shade on a beautiful warm day. We saw no one else on the trail. The different hides certainly kept us entertained. This was one we were able to find. Thanks to lozza311 for placing this cache.
It was my monthly caching expedition with Biggles Bear today. With over 40 caches and only 3 DNF's, it was a successfuly day's caching. This was not what I was expecting.
Thanks to lozza311 for the cache.

TNLN, thanks lozza311.

Slink1 and I decided we should take the ladies out for an airing so we took them with us caching today. Twas a great day for it so we headed down to Wonthaggi and surrounds balancing out priorities. We had a really good time. Many thanks to the cache owners for the placement and upkeep of the caches. TNLN TFTC SL
We took advantage of the great weather over the weekend and headed down to Wonthaggi with our ladies managing to check out a few beaches, dunes and generally had a wonderful time.
Really enjoyed the diverse as well as the difficult caches, actually managed to make short work of the difficult , luck on our side today. Overall the time away was very successful with the beach play and caching fun.

Melbourne parties Friday noon and returned Tuesday morning in Melbourne. I came here to make different trail of caches in the area. It was intense few days with my bike but very nice! I could find caches with superb camouflage, very good ideas from the cachers. This log will be the same for all caches that I made (sorry) But I want to congratulate in particular:
Nut bear & BorisB & Natasha for "Bay Trail" and "Red Hill Express" (Beautiful cover!)
The Three Amigos Geo for "The Pathway"
Gonefishen07 for the great "Rail Trail"
As well as other geocacher who I discovered several caches during these few days.
Thank you very much
Greetings from France
I will be at Mega event with my friend who just especially France also "Ckronos"

One of 70 caches found today during a day / night caching run. I headed down the Bass Hwy through Woolamai and Kilkundra and onto Wonthaggi where I spent most of the day. Once it was time to move on, I grabbed some dinner for the road and headed up north through the rolling hills of Kongwak, through Korrumburra, Strzelecki and Torwood before turning west, making my way to Lang Lang and then onto home.
The weather was perfect for caching and during the day I had just one DNF. I also managed to find a couple of caches needed for my D/T requirements. There were a nice variety of caches with some challenging walks and the trusty old bike came out on a couple of occasions. Plenty of great locations and some great scenery as well. Thanks to all the CO's who placed the caches I found today.
I had my bike with me today so decided to ride the circuit starting at 'Racing stripes' and finishing at 'Caz and Loz's cache'. I'm glad I did ride as it would've taken at lot longer than the two and a half hours it took me to find all the caches and arrive back at the car, just as it was almost dark. I enjoyed the ride and finding the great variety of novelty hides. The coords seemed to be out on a few occasions making finding some of the hides pretty tricky but I did manage to find them all in the end.
A nice quick find here and I raced on. Thanks for the hide.

Found this one at 11:05 on a quick excursion out this way with ssmc4 this morning. The nearby 'structures' had us intrigued, more-so for me but enough said.
Wow, what a busy pair of caches today.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks lozza311, cazza_thats_me.

Found at 7:29 AM GAFF1. Thought that I would get out early this morning - at least before the rest of the camp woke. Still very windy from yesterday's storm and a bit chilly. Have been here a few times before - this is where you head off to get to Baxter's Beach which the locals claim to be a secret fishing spot However we have never caught one fish from that beach
When the cache was spotted, it was totally different from what was in my mind.
Thanks lozza311.

decided to brave the Campbell Street gates and come in to this one from the wind turbine end of the track. After avoiding the HUGE potholes on the road we got to this one in quick time and spotted it quickly. Wasn't sure what I would find with a name like this, but this wasn't quite what I pictured. TFTC.
Go faster stripes or not, I don't fancy it's chances at the races. TFTC. That's it for today. We're going to continue the walk to the beach before returning to the car.
Found on a little caching expedition with EuDes and eldest ssmc4 daughter this morning (she made the connection for the cache title prior to us reaching GZ). The only thing that was racing around here this morning were the tips of the turbine blades. Thanks for the cache lozza311.
