I have been looking at this cache for quite some time now as it had a DT that would fill in an empty gap on my grid...Weeks and months go by as I collect many more missing DTs until only this one remained to complete my first loop. The puzzle certainly made my eyes roll back everytime I looked at this attractive combo and tree climb to boot. Lets just say I am thankful for my cache buddies who are puzzle wizards who beared with me in the solving of this oneI managed to get my numbers correct and get a green tick, so I shot up the motorway towards Noosa after a few morning chores. I somehow managed to find parking close to GZ (which is impressive for a weekend!) and made my way over to GZ. Little did I know, the hide was going to be almost as challenging as the puzzle...I began to clamber up to get a monkey's eye view, but a lot of searching revealed no cache. I began to expand my search area, but then it started raining and the branches became slippery, so I awkwardly, semi-willingly fell out of the tree and took cover under a bushy plant to read some logs. The log reading didn't give me too much to go off, so I continued to do what I was doing before. Still no luck, so I tried to get onto some previous finders with no success. I was on my own. One log photo was intriguing, but didn't quite help. It was only when I chose to search an unlikely branch did I spy the sneaky little thing tucked away! With a cry of victory, I climbed on up, nearly slipping off in the process and having my first 5/3.5 in hand, as well as a year of unlove to boot!Thank you so much dahumbug for this great puzzle and tree climb, and for helping me with my first loop with many of your caches!
Rolled into Noosa for a family stay for a few nights.
Where to start but with solved Bug cache?
Happy to add this one to my finds as it brings me closer to another important milestone.
Thank you for this cache

On the last leg of an amazing little road trip with dixie_gooner, we rose early on our final morning to set about chasing after some interesting d/ts for his grid.
After a successful little trip out towards Pomona we stopped in at this one which was just across the road from our accommodation. Conscious of the time we told our other halves we’d be back, we gave ourselves a small window of time to track it down.
Some tree climbing later, d_g was about to knock it on the head when, with the help of some previous logs, I spotted the prize! Dixie_gooner made the climb, signed the log and a short drive later we were home with minutes to spare.
A successful morning on every count. TFTC!

I am on the final day of a 5 day roadtrip with Marcussjd9 and we stayed overnight in Noosa. We got up early so as that we could grab a handful of caches before we had to check out.
This was our last cache as we were running out of time. It was possibly the trickiest find too. Unable to spot anything from the ground, I climbed in the tree hoping to have a better vantage point.
I had no luck and climbed back down. MJD9 read some previous logs and decided to look from a different angle. This proved fruitful as he spotted the cache

I had visited this location yesterday, and after climbing searching the trees from different angles, I actually thought it was missing, so I had accepted that I would be leaving with a DNF. However, after speaking with the CO on a previous geocache, I managed to chat to him on this one, and I got some further intelligence. More lateral branch climbing, and still nothing, so a video call was made to assist with my poor search. As it turned out, I was on a different branch as my GPSr was wanting me a little away from where the cache was found. Very sneaky and clever in the end! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [dahumbug](https://coord.info/PR8W6P9) and mountainman82 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. Favourite Point for the appreciation of the CO's assistance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/[jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) stamp.

During this extended weekend, [jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I stayed in Noosa Heads. On Friday, we hiked in Noosa National Park visiting Boiling Pot, Dolphin Point, Fairy Pools, and Hell's Gates. On Saturday, I attended the local parkrun followed by a kayak paddle of Lake MacDonald whilst attending the [Four Mountains, Four Directions](https://coord.info/GCA5T0A) event, and then we visited the River Entrance Beach on Noosa Spit towards the north-west in the afternoon. Finally, on Sunday morning, we had breakfast on Hastings Street and then did a small walk in Noosa Heads, before driving back home.
Today, after grabbing breakfast nearby, we visited Noosa National Park once again, and walked the Palm Grove Circuit. We then had one last play in Lions Park after I visited a few remaining target geocaches, and then we drove home across lunch.

Well, what an adventure (sometimes frustrating) this turned out to be!I have been working on finding this cache over a number of years, so great to finally complete the task. Thanks to all those who have helped with solving the puzzle (not easy), helping to locate the cache (not easy), and actually meeting up in person to point it out (still not easy!).Arrived at the final spot with smudgeycat dg, who I sent up the tree to grab the cache.TFTC
Wow. That puzzle was tricky (as you would expect from a dahumbug D5). I got the first bit fairly easily, but needed assistance with the second bit. Then I got the third bit easily with just a bit of to-ing & fro-ing. The middle bit took some lateral thinking, but it was all there and it made sense once it was explained to me. But yeah...hmm.
Locating the cache was also a little tricky, but found. Then retrieving, signing & replacing were the easy bits. Thanks for adding to my puzzle-solving education, dahumbug. TFTC

Going blind looking at these numbers, If anyone has a hint to help us along that would be great.
This puzzle required a nudge, which like dominoes once started, set off a chain reaction solving another cache with the same concept, i actually found easier to navigate.
So frustrating knowing what to do and still not having it work. I blame the picture having one too many lines.
Big thanks to atthelakehouse for coming to the rescue with some notes that helped me along with the solving. A quick glance then i was back at it.
Phew. A big grin happens when a five difficulty puzzle is solved. Much like the infectious grin that happens when any puzzle or conundrum is solved, just bigger.
Then it sat waiting patiently for the right moment. That was on april fools day when, after returning a hire kayak from my adventures northshoreish finding a cache that had been a year to the day without a first finder, i still felt adventurous, so called atthelakehouse to see if she wanted to join me on this fun final.
I climbed around the tree to my inner childs heartfelt content not spying anything cache like for a good ten odd minutes until atlh arrived.
It still took another ten odd minutes staring skyward till i spied the wee beastie.
Up i scurried like a squirrel and back down for signing ceremonies.
Thank you dahumbug for the many hours of torment this puzzle gave, after all that the fun tree climb and actual puzzle placement makes up for it, i guess.
My second combination in this square.

It’s been so long since I solved this one, I can’t remember the details anymore. But I do remember enjoying the puzzle and feeling very satisfied with myself when I finally worked it out. Not long after that the geohub and I went to GZ to scope it out and decided we would need to come back with our TOTT when it wasn’t so busy. Funny thing about that… what we saw that day was completely different to what was actually in place when I returned with a geofriend to claim our prize. So different that I’m actually wondering if another placed a container there that never got published, or maybe a throw down (up) that since was removed. Different spot but also different container. Hmmmmm. Anyways … onto the find. Considering what I was expecting, it seemed much easier to retrieve. Admittedly, smallwombat did the honours and I signed for us both. I had assisted him with the puzzle. Teamwork makes the dreamwork! And now there is one less non-yellow mark on my map ️. Thanks for another great contribution to the game Mr Bug.
We had just finished the 90km Cooloola great walk, going north to south. As much as I wanted to take my boots off and rest my feet, this cache was only 10mins away and I needed this cache to fill a hole in my D/T grid.
I had to start climbing the tree to spot the cache and after some manoeuvring I signed the log and replaced the cache. Tftc dahumbug and mountainman82

Who in their right mind wants to cruise the busy streets of Noosaville on a Saturday morning… well we mustn’t be in our right minds zeroing on the GZ I was in awe of finding a car park close. It took a weeee bit but spotted it up went a .
Muggle65 and l are collecting a few solved puzzles now. GPS wanted us to do something ridiculous but we just parked and crossed the road. Cache was soon spotted and retrieved. Glad that finding the cache didn't take as long as solving it Thank you for a very fun cache
I really wanto solve this one.
I'm so close, i can feel it.
Can some kind soul please help me?

This was solved a long time ago. Up at Noosa with the family and I offered to go get some groceries (& a couple of caches along the way). This look a long time spy from the ground but I finally found it. Debated whether to go up by ladder or climbing but since it was wet and raining I went with ladder. Signed and returned as found. Day 2 of our weekend geocaching adventure with RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan and GrannySmith1947 (and millie dog) and after kayaking along Cooloothin and Cooroibah Creeks, we have continued searching for a few targetted caches while on the Sunshine Coast.
This cache was a target cache for Snickersallan and I am happy to have it too. So keen to grab this cache, she was up the tree before the thought of a ladder was made.
Logbook signed and returned to its hide.

Just because an event was cancelled, doesn't mean we cancel our weekend. Now what can we do. Hire a boat and do some water caches. So off up the river.
Nice pickup at another cotton tree.

Another fabulous day of water caching. Our group of five from yesterday's Maroochy River epic is now a good dozen. Target caches today are along two creeks: Cooloothin Creek to Lake Cootharaba, and Cooroibah Creek to Lake Cooroibah.
Less layers to climb: up went Snickersallan before I even had the ladder out of the car.

A full morning out paddling with geo friends followed by a quick lunch then it was time to fill in a few slots in our grid with some solved puzzles.
This particular cache has been on my to-do list for quite some time and have been trying to fulfill a recent challenge that had me needing just one more cache, a micro with a D5/T3.5 and because I was the one that needed it, it was only fair that I did the tree climb.
Great puzzle and a favourite point from me, thanks CO.

Spent the day with the family and friends on the river at Noosaville, and decided to stop by here and try and avenge a former DNF. A hint from a previous log gave us an idea where to focus the search and Mrs OC spotted it straight away. I was looking at another branch last time, so totally missed spotting it then.
A short climb and a shimmy, and the log was soon in hand. Then it was time to head home via a slow crawl sitting in Bruce Carpark arvo traffic for 2.5 hrs.

Today I had a few target caches to get, some for a challenge some for my next D/T loop and some as I was just passing. This was one of my target caches for the day, it did take some solving and a few helps along the way, but I am glad I am here today to collect as I need this for a dt I am working on.
At GZ I was climbing all the branches I could and having no luck, I used a PAF who told me I was in the right spot. So I continued on and muttering to myself something about people and micros in trees. Having cleaned the tree up off all cobwebs and dirt I started to look further afield and then while I was working my way back to land I spotted something on a further branch and on the backside of it. I hoped down and set for the outer branches and working further over the water I soon had this little bugger in my hand, no room for a happy dance up here but a shout of glee would suffice in this circumstance. So happy to find this one, with log signed and cache replaced as found I was then off to search for a few others on my list.
Thanks for placing this one here, a favourite point just because on so many levels, awesome.

Being in the area today with E-Smiley we decided to drive to wards the busy Noosa area to have a look at this one... it took us quite some time to spot the cache and I was able to climb up and sign our names with no problems.
Thanks for the fun puzzle and good tree climb.

Been in the area more than 3 times now but always with my cache blocker! I could see the solved icon in my map, it's so close! And yet so far!
Late last week, I got an invitation from georode to kayak and hike and pick a puzzle or two that can fill our d/t grid completion in between. Yes! Perfect!
Managed to get a park near gz for quick retrieval. Ha ha... not meant to be. We looked and looked and while he was up there I tried to PAF and so thankful that help was quick and precise. We can't waste precious time when geobuddy needs to be at Maryborough by 6pm. Lol

Today was supposed to be a tree climbing day! But, as with all plans, things didn't go to plan. The sporadic rain meant that some of the trees we wanted to climb were a bit unsafe. But thankfully, we managed to get P' through his fourth loop (wahoo! congratulations matey ) and I managed to get my 2000th cache. Wahoo - happy days all around.
This was a fun tree climb - spotting the cache turned out to be the hardest part! Persistence paid off, and eventually the little blighter was found. Thankful for the break in the rain to grab this one safe and sound (and dry!). Nasty little puzzle though, the CO is a little bit of a devil!

We craned our necks and made some ground circle work before it was spotted. A quickish plan was hatched for its retrieval and it wasn’t to long before our names where inked in.
Another cache to remove from my overly long solved list. I had been in the area a few times, but never made it to get the cache. After a bit of searching we finally spotted the container. Log was signed from a nice seat up high in the air with a view! TFTC.

An unexpected conversation just after new year led to an invite to go looking for a few targeted caches today. This was another on Brislions list. I must be honest: I needed help to solve this one, but was able to add it to our list for today. After a lovely paddle, we made our way to this one. At GZ, it took quite a while to spot the cache. Ugh! Not there! Thank goodness Brislions still had enough energy to get there. With our names added tot he log and Brislions back on terra firma, we decided it was time to head home. What a fun day out! TFTC

At Kilkivan new year event I was talking to Selva Girls about D/T grids and I needed 7 more for my 2nd loop. And she told me she had one to get for loop 3. And the she wanted to get was Kayaking one and she didn’t have access to one. I laugh because I had access to a couple of kayak. But it did take 6 weeks to organise time to go.
I had Selva Girls and Grannysmith1947 come for the day kayaking tree climbing and couple of bush walks. We all had a good day.
The count for me was 6 mystery and 5 traditional
Sorry for generic log

We have been looking at this one for a couple of years, every time we visit the area it comes up, keep trying to get our heads around the puzzle. Asked the grandson for his help, this time nailed him down to help us, along with other friends to push us to learn something new, eventually came up with GZ, checked agreed with coords. Today was the day to tackle this one, wazza9 went 1st then I joined him, signed log and replaced. A big thanks to dahumbug for this new lesson in puzzles.
TFTC,
Nana nel and I printed this cache out years ago and even with the help of her grandson when visiting the area have previously failed to come up with a GZ location.
For this trip we made a concerted effort before leaving home to resolve several outstanding Puzzle Caches which would expand our area of found caches from around our home base when we visit.
Of the 3 major Puzzles we targeted, this was by far the hardest and had us questioning some of our Puzzle Guru friends. Some of the guidance we received led us up the garden path and still others had us making U-Turn after U-Turn. It looked like we were going home again empty handed until Nana nel got some guidance to take us in the correct direction.
Eventually we sruck gold and after following the instructions, made our way to a well hidden container.
Visited trackables and added a favourite.

With a trip to Noosa planned, I made sure I had some solved puzzles on my todo list. The first layers were followed without too much stress but the final twist had me stumped for a while before the penny dropped
After spending most of the day with family and friends I was itching to go out and find a cache or two. Luckily this one was not far from our friends accomodation so I took the opportunity to visit a couple of nearby caches on the way home. Visited GZ with my muggle friend and did a bit of monkey business without reward. Sent for a hint via PAF but didn’t get the return call until I had left. However some invaluable info was gained and I knew I would return
After finding another cache nearby, I returned in fading light. Even with extra intel, it was quite some time before I spotted what I was seeking. Not as bad as where I had assumed it was and sat in a nice perch while signing the log
Great puzzle and gotta love a tree climb so fav point coming your way!

Oh what a clever puzzle this is, and what a lovely tree.... yeah I better bring along a monkey for this one!
We made our way here, with this cache being one of two main targets for the day - to complete my 3rd DT loop, woohooo!
I did get a bit of help from the CO and a previous finder, I'll admit. This was a new style of puzzle for me and I like it. Thanks for the puzzle and cache, dahumbug! A fave point from me.

While staying in Alexandra Headland for a few days we headed up here for a couple of caches needed to fill a few holes in my D/T matrix loops with this being attempted just after a heavy downpour and still raining lightly.
Climbed around and tried to spot the cache but it either very well disguised or gone.
The puzzle took me ages to get the final steps fleshed out and this cache has been on my hit list for some time, so I =very disappointed not to sign the log

Monday. We’d had this cache solved and set aside for a while as it was a bit far away for us (but little did we realise this at the time when we were visiting family last year, that we were only down the road from this cache!). Time always seemed to be a factor as well. We did start to go for this one about 3 weeks ago as well, but found that rain and soft roof racks really is NOT a very good mix! So no more excuses today (well… I did let Luke watch the last day of The Ashes before I suggested we go and collect this cache and another that would help us get our 3rd DT grid loop).
So we loaded up the kayak and packed the car and finally, off we went! We finally got to the required tree and we looked and looked – nothing! Saw diddly. Climbed the tree, got bitten and crawled over by a few ants. Then made a PAF to a previous finder and got a bit more intel about which side of the tree to look at – cache was still elusive – so rang one more previous finder who just happened to be down the road from us! Super duper! They came up and came up the tree with us no less! What troopers and great geocachers! Finally – Log signed with the Slow Puncture squiggly signature as the backing was a bit rough where I was standing. Wow – glad to get this one crossed off our list – didn’t feel completely comfortable getting this cache but that could be my climbing style? [xx(]
This was the 1st of 2 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***dahumbug***, for showing us this place.

Ok. A big thanks to the local caching community. CO confirmed I was at the right GZ spot, after I started to have doubts. Then I reached out to Dora the Explorer!, who gave a directional nudge at GZ and suggested I contact CDAH55. I tried again at GZ and just couldn't see the container. I went up every limb, but didn't look behind. I reckon my hand was 5cm from the container.
So I contacted CDAH55, who most kindly agreed to meet me at GZ after work, to confirm container was indeed there. It was. With tail between the legs, I conceded Cache Blindness, then zipped up to retrieve. Log was saturated and falling apart, so CDAH55 grabbed one of his waterproof logs, already trimmed to the right size. I signed and put the new sheet back in the container.
The puzzle and GZ is worthy of persistence to get that log signed. And with the fantastic community of cachers to give me enough direction, I got the log signed in the end. A favourite. TFTC dahumbug

Up from Canberra for a conference. So why not get some great caches. I had solved this one in preparation, with a colleague. Really enjoyed the puzzle and was very pleased to get some nice coords.
At GZ, I've scampered all over the object, but still can't see the container. Have to call it a DNF. Will persist though, having called in the assistance of some local eyes to test my cache 'blindness'.

Out and about with barbbowman and Just a Trifle to celebrate multi milestones for JaT.
This was one of the puzzles the girls had worked on in preparation for this day. Arrived at GZ and took ages to spot the cache. I will say this was easier than number 1 and a few others of this CO's climbs.
With my horrible balance the first part was entertaining, but once at the other side it was straight forward. Maybe I should have gone up the same way as Mr JaT.
Log signed and replaced.

Well the day has finally arrived for us to celebrate our 10th geo-birthday and we had decided to make it a very memorable day indeed Cotton Creatures 2 was our target cache to celebrate the occasion plus another milestone or two, but before we could do that one, we needed just a few more cache finds FastEd59 and barbbowman came with us for our outing and to our surprise, today would also be a milestone day for FastEd59
Now what better place could we go to than the Boreen Point / Noosa area Today's caching reminded us of just how beautiful the Noosa River, Lake Cootharaba and surrounds really is ... if only we could live here all the time
After having a splendid morning at Boreen Point / Lake Cootharaba, we decided to stop by the river at Noosaville for lunch We then headed to a patch of bush land for a few more caches and then when we had reached enough cache finds to reach our milestone, we headed to Cotton Creatures 2
We had looked at the puzzle for this cache many, many times and even with the explanation provided by dahumbug at one of the Dunethin Rock Events, the solution was still eluding us After getting a few more clues, we eventually had a set of working co-ordinates ... then we were faced with the challenge of actually locating the cache container Finding this cache certainly had its twists and turns, right up to the very end
Mr Just a Trifle made it look easy retrieving the cache and with our names added to the log sheet, we were very satisfied indeed [^] This cache is our 6000th find (1000 of which are puzzles/others) and completes our 3rd loop of the D/T grid
Thank you dahumbug for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy This puzzle and hide is certainly worthy of a favourite point [^]

#4192 [14:25] i was also missing this dt combination for next dt loop and so i spent serious time with solving this puzzle. unfortunatelly i was not succesfull and finaly needed a hint to show the right way of many possible. i was so close...
more funny part was the final for sure. i went here with nyssa who made me great guided geocaching tour today and she had a break here for a while here. i don't know how long i kept searching, i'd say about 20 minutes. finally i went to one spot with words "it simply must be here", and it really was, right infront of my face nice challenging hide, thanks a lot for that!
also congratulations to JaT to their score and next loop we had to miss them tightly.

So this cache has been on my watch list for quite a few months now. At first glance at the puzzle I ignored it completely at the thought I would never find it.
But here we are now, with my name in the log and a smiley on my map. Thanks for the puzzle dahumbug, challenging in more ways that one.

For some reason my log has disappeared, so I am finding myself relogging this cache.
Retrieving this cache has got to be one of the most dangerous things I have done, not to mention the difficulty of solving the puzzle even with the two of us working on it!
I Finally located the cache from the ground on my second visit to GZ, but signing the log was another matter.
Balancing on a branch that I was sure wasn't going to take my weight I carefully unscrewed the cache from its hide and signed the log as quick as I could.
Thanks dahumbug, this cache definitely deserves its difficulty rating!!

Although there are cheats out there who as so hard up for a find they need to get others to climb the tree for them, there are legitimate people out there who do the hard work.
AS LONG AS YOU GET YOUR NAME IN THE LOGBOOK, HEY?
AS LONG AS YOU GET YOUR NAME IN THE LOGBOOK, HEY?
When I first looked at this cache, I never suspected that finding the physical cache would be harder than solving the puzzle.
The first part of the puzzle I recognised straight away and decrypted without any problems. The second part stumped me and I didn't really solve it per se but rather nutted it out through trial and error until it began to make sense. The third part of the puzzle didn't take much time to solve at all.
I was stoked to have solved my first 5 difficulty cache and the best part was that in a week's time we would be on holidays in Noosa and staying only 100m from the cache!
We arrived here yesterday afternoon and the first thing that we did, even before getting groceries, was to scope out the GZ and see what we could see. It was then that I began to get a feel for how difficult it was going to be to retrieve the cache.
As there was a "Needs Maintenance" on the cache posted by the CO himself, I decided that I wasn't going to commit to any serious tree climbing until I had confirmation that the cache was in place. That confirmation came through very quickly but I could get out to GZ again until this afternoon.
I headed there with Miss 12 and climbed around a bit and tried, in vain, to spot the cache without having to climb to high. Nonetheless, I climbed high enough to scare myself silly and collected a fair few scrapes along the way.
At this point I had a fair idea of where the cache was but I needed confirmation that it was there before I risked the seemingly impossible climb. So, I headed back to our accommodation and jumped on the computer to read all the logs. One of them seemed to confirm what I thought and also suggested that the cache could be seen from the ground.
I headed back to GZ alone and just concentrated on trying to lock eyes on the cache from the ground. Eventually I thought I caught a glimpse of something but it proved elusive and kept disappearing from where I would have sworn I'd seen it. But eventually I was sure that was it and it was where I had suspected.
I headed back to our accommodation again to discuss with the geowife. Really, I was just terrified of falling out of the tree and not being found for several hours.
So, we headed back to GZ and I began to climb. The first part was easy but then I got to the point I'd got stuck before. From here on I figured that I needed some upper body strength that I just didn't possess. The hardest part, in retrospect, was committing to the move. Then, before I knew it, I was up and the cache was in reach.
I wrapped myself pretty firmly around a tree limb while I signed the log and returned it to it's container. Getting down in theory was going to be a lot harder but I just clung to the limb and slid, ignoring the scrapes on my arms and legs.
As a previous finder said, finding this cache was a very rewarding experience and this kind of adventure is what attracts me to geocaching so a massive thanks to the CO for such a challenging puzzle and physical cache.
This will definitley get a favourite point from me once I have one to give.

In Noosa today for the Noosa Affair event, Sweet won a FTF draw, and because my mobility is limited Konie and Team Benders offered to help with the FTF, duly found.
While in the area, just had to find a couple of others.
Found with the help of Konie and Team Benders, both had previously found it. Found the hide, Konie did the hard bit and Team Benders supplied the new Log which I duly singed.

Dexterity is a word that comes to mind. Firstly the mental dexterity in solving the puzzle and secondly the physical dexterity in retrieving the cache.
This cache had been on my radar for some time however I kept hitting road blocks. I had partly worked my way through the puzzle and sought a nudge from the CO at a recent event. He was very obliging but I still could not get it.
Whilst driving on a road trip last week, I was thinking about it and I thought that I would approach it from a different direction. Suddenly, things started falling into place and I started to make some sense of it. The puzzle was solved a couple of days ago.
I went to have a look at what would be required to retrieve the cache but as it was school holidays I did not try. I thought I would chance it today and as there were not too may people about, I would give it ago.
I eventually had the cache in hand but as it was quite breezy, it was bit of a trick holding on whilst signing the log. This was achieved and the log eventually replaced. The log was damp but I was able to sign it. I was reluctant to stay there until it dried out.
This cache deserves two favourite points. One for the puzzle and one for the hide. Unfortunately, I can only give it one.
Thanks for the challenging cache in more ways then one [blue]dahumbug[/blue]

Gotcha
Been sitting on a solution for this puzzle for a couple of weeks, in preparation for our quick visit.
But will also admit that I had to reach out to the CO for a little nudge too. Thanks
Unique DT plus I needed a 5 for the road trip challenge.
Was nervous, but on arriving at GZ, I thought that it didn't look too bad - but I also didn't know where it was at this stage. Let's just say that I went up and down a few limbs before i eventually spotted it
Once spotted -I wasn't leaving without grabbing it.
Thanks to dahumbug for the puzzle, the cache, and the exercise.
Gets a fav for ticking a few boxes

Headed out with Liz and Bruce to grab a few caches, that we missed with the caravan in tow.
This was our target cache for the day, and a lot of time was spent on the puzzle, with some help.
Cache hide was a little more extreme than we expected, but it was soon signed and replaced.
Worth a favourite point for such a challenging endeavor.
Many thanks for placing this cache, dahumbug, for us and others to find.

Great to get out for a days caching especially with our soon to be travelling companions The Drovers. Tricky puzzle and tricky hide. I kept threatening to kill the boys if they did themselves an injury before our trip to the USA next week. Fav point alloc. We enjoyed the countryside and it was nice for us to know that it was an easy trip back to some of these wonderful locations especially around Eumundi and Noosa. Thanks to dahumbug.

Day 14 of our Qld holiday & after spending the morning with family it was time to head up to the Noosa area for some afternoon adventures [^]
This was another puzzle which was solved in preparation for our holiday… I was quickly onto the first piece of the puzzle & it wasn’t until I was given a bit of a shove that the puzzle eventually fell into place Today whilst in the area, Jase was the eager one to grab the cache whilst we offered support from below… DangerMouse09 was also eager to offer assistance, except he was on the wrong limb
TFTC & the puzzleDahumbug… Very happy to finally cross this one off

In the area this afternoon, we decided a tree climb was in order
Seems our coordinates were spot on and the cache was found quickly.
Always nice to visit an area we don't get to much.

With the paddle this morning going much quicker than expected I had a heap of time on my hands.
Time for a trip to town
After stopping for a hearty lunch of bacon and eggs this was my first port of call.
I parked nearby and walked back to GZ. Hmmm. Where will it be. I could not spot it from the ground so I went upwards. A few options, but still no cache.
Try another, but still can't see it. A PAF for help and I am back out on a limb. This one was pushing my limits both physically and mentally. There was a good breeze blowing and the branch I was on was swaying in the wind. My bouncing along it did not help. From there I could only just reach the cache, and I could not get any higher for a better position.
Standing on tip toes I could just reach the cache, but one hand was need for holding on the tree. I very carefully stretched as far as I could and managed to open the cache. The log was firmly planted in the base, so I did not drop it. [^]
Name added, now to put it all back together. How was I going to get the log to stay in the top section whilst I put it back together. [:(!] It took several attempts to get it done, but it did get done.
Thanks for the hint for the puzzle dahumbug, and thanks for pushing me to my limits once again.

I came here the other day when I was up the coast with geopartner.
We both managed to get part way to GZ but could not spot the container.
Out today with a partner in crime who was able to get a bit further than I and as moving up to GZ put arm around and felt something there and showed me the cache.
Both our names are on the log. Thanks to my partner in crime with joint effort we found this cache.

Travelling through the Noosa area today so decided to check out the co-ords that I had for this one.
Another very interesting tree and thankfully the search was short for a quick find.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

T-Tech, Brother Colin and I are camping at Brooyar for the weekend, and yesterday BC and I each got a big milestone done! 5000 for me and 7000 for him This morning we tackled the task of getting all of the caches done in the forest, and now it's time to head back to Brisbane
This was really the only cache T-Tech was actually interested in getting this weekend! He has put many hours into the solving of it and he quite enjoyed explaining it all to me over the last week or so, although I have no idea of how it was all done! Truly diabolical This afternoon, BC and I diverted to one of Scrub Bull's EVIL series, so T-Tech reached his GZ before us, and had done the climb and made the find and put it all back again, and was lounging back waiting for us as we arrived The smug grin on his face was hilarious!
BC set about the hunt, and I soon joined him, but we needed a nudge from T-Tech to make the find TFTC, dahumbug.

Out for the weekend with IolantheK & Brother Colin who was trying to build their numbers to before they both reached significant milestones. IolantheK @ 5000 and Brother Colin @ 7000 which they reached at the Emperor[^]
Caching today in the heat wasn't easy
I had wanted to get this cache for a while as it filled out a D/T hole in my grid
I will start this log by saying that dahumbug and mountainman82 are evil geniuses and should be locked up
A most tricky puzzle, If it hadn't been for some hints/shoves from membsec I doubt I would have never solved this I love my Spreadsheets and this was a 10 stage manipulation of the data before I had the final co-ords [xx(]
Well on the way back from the weekend away I diverted to the final arriving first as IolantheK and BC went via another cache.
Where to begin?? I think I did a lot of climbing before I spotted what I was after and got to sign the log [^] (and that still involved another call to membsec, but alas her memory wasn't as clear as I'd hoped)
After a few minutes on the ground the others turned up and it was my turn to sit and watch the climbing antics [:o)] After a while they requested a hint and soon after found the container [^]
A diabolical puzzle and search!! a favourite point from me
The cache is dry and in good condition [^]

IolantheK, T-tech and myself were camping at Glastonbury Creek campsite for the week-end and to do some caching around the region as well.
IolantheK and myself needed to find the last 2 warriors (plus a couple of local caches) to get those numbers just right for a major milestone at the cache The Emperor yesterday, my 7000th find.
But unfortunately the week-end is nearly over and we are making our way home to Brissy.
T-tech had sorted this one out and I just sort of had to come along as well.
Got to like those free puzzle finds when they come along every now and then.
Thanks for the cache.

We spotted this interesting D T combo a little while ago but did not get too far. We had practiced on some of the CO's other puzzles to see if we could get a bit if a feel to the style but in the end appealed for help. A big thank you to the CO who gave us a few (alot of) nudges. We had been close on some layers but just failed to often make the final leap. At last we had the co ords and a green tick. We had an opportunity to be up this way and the CO agreed to meet us as was working nearby. We got there a bit early and thought our meeting time had been and gone only to find our smart phone was too smart for itself from being down south and had got us there an hour early. On meeting the CO we confirmed the general area and said we had looked there before. The CO said he had a certain reputation to up hold and with that we went to search a little higher. Fortunately it was not too windy but you get the idea of what a good breeze must be like. Nice tricky hide. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC. A fav pt from us.
It was then we went off with dahumbug to the 5/5's of evil 5 and 6 then a moon light climb of Serenity On the Mountain before finishing off with some well earned beers.

I was playing around with this puzzle earlier this year when suddenly half the solution fell out for me, without really understanding the "right" method.
However, I did need to understand the method to get the rest of it, so a few little nudges from the CO, and I slowly squeezed out a solution.
Today I was happy to be in the company of a group keen to try some unique Diff/Terr caches and this certainly ticked a box for me!!
Thanks dahumbug, a hard puzzle and a challenging climb.

For some reason I decided this puzzle needed solving. Someone asked me to do it.. the icon was annoying me.. who knows? But it was to be done!
I read everything on the geocache page but couldn't get any of it to come together for me, so I sung out for a hint. The reply was helpful and suggested what I might refer to as brutalising the puzzle and beating it in the dark until the right numbers came out. Well, who am I to argue? I started doing what I could until the characters starting making sense and I made a connection that actually made far more logical sense. I was annoyed, this process is normally one of the first things I try, but neglected to just try it this time. That'll learn me! Right, that's that done.. but now what.
A distant recollection to do with a timeline came to mind and what started as a very basic and laborious substitution wound up showing a very unique pattern. This helped me really punch out this step a darn lot quicker. When I had it only half done I could see what should be done next. I finished the job, checked and sure enough, I have final co-ordinates! Aww, cop that, you Difficulty 5 puzzle! I was working alongside Net88 with it at the time and took much pleasure singing about how I'd solved it first. It really only took me a short amount of time one evening and like most difficult puzzles, it's like climbing a mountain. At the bottom looking up you can't see the path, but you start working hand over hand and as you push harder with each step, you make progress. Then when you wind up at the summit, looking back down, the path to take is really quite obvious.
With a trip planned further north with half the population of Brisbane geocachers, it was decided we should swing by this now solved icon. I have no idea how many others solved it or just followed, but the crowd wound up being myself, Net88, Fangsoki, Pprime, Swellerfungus, Crew 153 and seffnjarah. I noted there were more in this crowd than had previously found this geocache.
A few of us took to the tree, I made a start out a pretty obvious limb but ater no luck, I changed tactics after Net read out the size of the container. A tall bugger like me was having fun getting about and I was very relieved to see the container! 'Found it!'. I grabbed the logbook and having solved the puzzle, found the geocache and most likely ticked a few D/T boxes, everyone had better be thankful But these are the things you do for mates! I noted this is only the second time I have ticked a D5/T3.5 geocache - excellent.
The logbook was handed around and I scurried to replace it once more. I have no issues believing I earned this find and it was a great way to start the day of adventure which included much 4WDing up north. TFTC dahumbug and mountainman82

I was tagging along on a group attack on the Evil series of caches when a last minute change of plans saw this cache added to the itinerary. Managed to get some way into the solution but the final answer eluded me. A couple of us had made the climb in the search for the cache, and I had just made it to a rather precarious position when Captain Terror made the find. Hmmm now to get back down to sign the log. The decent was achieved safely and my name added to the log book. Tftc.
I was one of a group that found this log...oh wait, that Thomas found (and solved)!.
Knowing we were coming I got a few others joined in trying to solve it, however after a few hours we were no closer to a solution. As we arrived for the hunt we discussed with the main man T-Dog and he gave us the heads up.
At GZ we arrived en masse and dispersed into differing locations and heights for the find. The locals all wondered if a cat had climbed up that tree and wouldn't come down! After explaining we were from the local psych ward they quickly moved on.
Thanks fro a cracker puzzle Dahumbug. Tough, but fun.

Did I have no end of troubles with this puzzle..? You bet
I ended up needing help each step of the way. There are those that will not admit they get help from others in solving puzzles - that's not how I roll. At least I gave it a red hot go though.
With some co-ordinates that seemed to agree with everyone else, it was agreed a group of us would meet to do this cache. Well this is a very familiar area - as I used to work around here for one of my first jobs.
There quite a few people scarpering around GZ looking for this cache? Pprime was trying to do his gymnast routine he pulled on another Dahumbug cache - but it just wasn't "good" for it. After much hunting, it was Captain Terror who announced he found the elusive beast. We signed the log and the cache was re-hidden as found.
Phew. Job done. I noticed this was only the second time I had ticked this D/T box. A great little area and a puzzle that made me cry. TFTC Mr Dahumbug and Mountainman82

Well...
I had looked at this puzzle a fair few times but couldn't find a single way to start. I eventually ran into the cache owner at an event and mentioned that I wanted to find it. He sent me a starting point that really didn't help at all
I enlisted the help from the ever loyal Captain Terror and after a fair bit of this, no that, how about.... no, what about... no. We FINALLY got a lucky break and things started looking up. We were both online working it out together when the Captain (slightly faster than me) sent me a picture of the congratulations message
We organised a day with some of my nearest and dearest to find a few caches to help me finish my DT and this one was put on the list. Closer to the date we had a few more join our merry band but the more the merrier when high difficulty caches are concerned.
We turned up this morning and started searching. The more nimble of us got up and started looking around as the rest of us scouted below. The wonderful Captain found the cache! We had been there for a while and I was so happy to finally have this one done! He brought the log down and we all stood around and signed it before he dashed back up and replaced it.
Another puzzle that I only got because of some help from friends. Thanks for the cache dahumbug.

Out for a lovely day 4WDing with a stack of people - and as we were driving up I was handed the GC code for this one and told to "just solve it on the way up". Errr[xx(] OK, well it's a dahumbug puzzle obviously - that means whip out the ol' ScrubBulls converter. OK - that looks interesting - those are a common ... no, not going to get the next step on the little smartphone me thinks. SO log signed in the bunch, and now with three large screens at my disposal I have re-hit the next phase. phases. Yes, I needed some more guidance - and knowing the final spot hasn't actually helped like it should. There is a leap of faith in there that I am pretty sure I'd never have made on my own, but that's led to something that in the end was recognizable - yes I have done another of this man's puzzles - and with a flourish I hit the geochecker (because the coords I got at GZ were very fractionally different to the real answer) and got the green tick. Phew, so now I feel allowed to post a Found It. Kudos to Captain Terror though for the gymnastics both mental and physical to get here first.
Thanks for placing this cache, dahumbug and mountainman82. Found in good condition.

Easter weekend 2nd-6th April 2015 in Stanthorpe, QLD.
I was invited to join a few other cachers on a hit on the EVIL series of caches and I had planned a long weekend stay at Tewantin. I had arranged to be picked up for the day of caching and we joined Captain Terror at the site of this cache.
I had looked at the puzzle a number of times but I hadn't progressed at all in solving it so I was pleased to be in the company of a few who had worked out the final coordinates.
It was a bit crowded in the search area so I stood back and offered advise to the searchers.
It was the Captain who came up with the find and we all gathered around and put our names in the log.
Glad to have got this one the easy way. Thanks guys.

This one took a lot of lateral thinking and trial and error to solve (yes, I'm responsible for 3 of those red 'X's) but I got there in the end. The CO confirmed that I had the right answer too, so all I had to do was get there
We actually had to look at some livestock in the north of the coast so it was only a small detour today to have a go at finishing it. I had a lot of fun locating the container and it was a nice place to sit and enjoy the view while signing the log. It is honestly worth challenging yourself on this one because you will be proud of your achievement!
Thanks dahumbug for another great cache!

**FTF**
Joint FTF with Nyssaflutterby and Membsec.
Caching trip out with the ladies... I'm in! Nyssaflutterby, Membsec and I headed up to the sunny coast on a mission to collect some caches.
We checked and saw this cache was still up for FTF so we turned Spangle into the wind and galloped on!
Upon reaching GZ we realised the challenge hadn't finished. Nyssa and I both took a different approach and Lynne tried to get the GPS to steady. She had a good position of which Nyssa was quite close. I kept on at my approach keeping an eye out for the elusive little blighter.
Pushing ourselves higher and higher, Nyssa and I weren't having much luck and the weather was beginning to change. That was when I spotted it!!! There! Over there! Oh bugger says Nyssa. As she wraps her hands around the cache, the wind picks up and she is going for a ride, back and forward, totally out of her control! I think she even started to look green!!

What can I say?? dahumbug, your puzzles are evil when you do them on your own but when you bring in mountainman82 they are even more evil!
Now having solved this puzzle all I can say is that it is there in front of the readers, as long as you hit the connections. I got numbers but doubted myself until I saw dahumbug and mountainman82. Ok, that's good, mmmm.....now what? Eventually with some cryptic hints, things started to work out. There were many twists and turns, up and down moments, banging the keyboard, searching the net and reflecting moments when solving this puzzle. The last numbers I got I thought straight away with what needed but once again I overlooked the most obvious thing until Angela said a certain word. Bingo!!! How silly could I be.
Today was a windy day and we hit GZ. Ok, where oh where could it be. I was very lady like today and I let Angela and Nyssa do the dirty work. We couldn't see the cache after searching for quite some time. Using the GPS was sending me in circles until it finally settled. I had zero metres, and looked up. It has to up here! With some confirmation that we were correct the search expanded! Finally Angela could see it from a different area and with that confirmation Nyssa charged ahead but calling out to us to stop the wind from blowing!!! With a twist and a turn, just like the puzzle Nyssa finally calls out "I've got it!" but "Stop the tree from swaying!!"
Mean, mean, mean but definitely worthy of it's D/T.
Thanks dahumbug and mountainman82 for the great puzzle and cache. Please don't do one together again!!

After consultation with a couple of the solvers, I have decided to bump this up to Difficulty of 5. This is my first listing to reach the Difficulty of 5. I hope you guys enjoy.
Solved it, but my snowmobile is broken and I'm waiting for the part to come from Germany. Be there asap...
