TFTC nice views. Thanks Crackers for walking in the long grass to retrieve this one.
Found with 2beez whilst enjoying a short break in the area. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for creating for us all to enjoy. Nice views. Cache in good condition. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? Found this one on Saturday while we were staying over this way at Myrrhee. Great views from this spot but the cache was very hard to get to because of all the Blackberry bushes all around it. Signed log and left a few more sawps for the kids to find and swap. TFTC. Container is still in good condition. Thanks for making us stop on this very dusty road and find a cache. Cheers.
After today's FishAttack caching on Lake William Hovell, I bid farewell to my fellow kayakers and headed via a roundabout route back to Wangaratta where I was staying tonight. This was the first one and what a lovely view it presented. Found the cache without any problems. My thanks for the cache and the view, BettyBoo3747.
Took the day off to go caching with jo2022AUS. She didn't know it but we were on our way to Power's Lookout as the last time we went there it was really foggy so she didn't get to experience the awesome views. And also the cache There's Something about Harry was missing but had since been replaced. This cache was a stopover to Power's Lookout. Quick find TFTC
It’s a lovely view up here, so peaceful, you can here the kookaburras.
TFTC, a great day so far and we’ve only just begun

An interesting “climb”. GPS very accurate. TFTC - fun one on a usually boring drive home. ST + Jko
Well that was interesting, just as well I had my trusty bag of tricks, the cache was just out of arms reach. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Todays planned day trip for Craig's Hut to make our #2000 find was finally here! Super early start this morning lead to an awesome day exploring both Mt Buller and Mt Stirling some tracks certainly tested the old rig out, but we made it home in once piece. Today brought back lots of fond memories of visiting this area with my granddad many years ago.
Ended up on a dirt road here not sure how just following the GPS.. however was pleased to see a couple of caches to snag. This one ended up being in the first place I looked, however it had buried itself.

I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Traditional cache BettyBoo3747

After a few camping trips with his muggle brother Mr Dromaniax suggested that they have another camp trip and invite their muggle father along for the ride. After leaving Ballarat around 10.30, we headed towards Smoko Campground in the High Country.
After arriving after dark at the campground and setting up the tent and cooking dinner in the rain, we were up early and headed into Bright for breakfast. After breakfast, we headed off towards the goal of the day, the Webcam cache at the top of Mt Buller.
The clearer day today made stops like this more scenic.
We found this cache quickly and in excellent condition.
Thank you for this cache, BettyBoo3747.

Quick drive by on way from Mansfield to Brookfield Maze, thanks for the cache!
Thanks for planting this. A very lovely view. A bit tricky to find now as the road grading has bunched up a lot of logs and there are many holes. Be careful where you put your feet.
Sun is threaten to leave us for some rain instead, but not while we jump out and grab this little cache! TFTC
Out for a drive around the Rose River road with the Geo kids and we found our way to this cache along the way.

Found 9:12am, 1st of the day for me but catnap777 had yet to score having been here once before.
On our way to challenge Lake William Howell to cough up a cache or two, and we stopped by here to claim this one for me and take in the magnificent views that cat' had seen once before when she was making her claim here back when she was a relative newbie.
Thanks BettyBoo for the cache and the view. The cache was found clean, dry and in good condition, and the view was well worth trampsing the road less travelled to come and see.

Great views indeed. I’m on a multi mission and google has sent me a back way (or maybe it was an interesting post lockdown choice..) to Buller and Baw Baw. Who’s in a hurry? The only urgency is getting there before it snows and season opens so happy to enjoy a cold winters day more than 5 km from home.! TFTC and the fun
Called in on the way back from Whitlands Cutting and to check out the scar tree I have not noticed previously. All good with the hide and I picked up a TB that had not been logged in here. Will visit the TB to this cache so it can continue on its journey from here.
Little bit overgrown with only 2 visitors during 2020.
We have left a TB to continue on the search for WHO

Stopped here to break up the journey on a long trip home.
Views were awesome, and there is a scar tree right at the parking coordinates.
Was looking right at it before I realised - that makes this an amazing cache location as is.
Thanks Bettyboo for your contribution to the area!

#4048 Our final find for our afternoon outing down the King Valley. Surprised to discover we haven't completed this cache previously! Well we righted that wrong today! A nice quick find in the first spot checked. Unsurprisingly the view of the landscape from gz is a very dry one this time of year. Lets hope for some good rains shortly to green it all up again . TFTC BB, time for some quick Prosecco tasting and purchasing before we head home again .

Caching up to wangaratta with day1976, I went down to where I though the cache would more likely be, as day1976 made the find a bit further up.
Ilukaperi and I were on a mission to bring ammo cans to the big smoke. Well, we were heading up to Wangaratta to pick up a delivery of ammo cans for people back in Melbourne. Anyhoo, why head up the boring old Hume Hwy, when you can take the back roads? So we decided to cache between Mansfield and Wangaratta, via Whitfield. I took over the driving at Mansfield, either because she was scared of driving on dirt roads or she wanted a good laugh at me trying to drive a manual car for the first time in 10 years. Whatever the case, I had done a bit of caching along this route before, so she had more finds than I did today, but not this one.
Really nice spot. Ilukaperi was convinced it was in one location and because she is good at this kind of stuff, I followed her. Turns out it wasn't there and I actually made the find somewhere that would have been a lot easier to get to (this rarely happens so I have to gloat when it does).

Out for a drive with my hubby and even though it was a very cold and wintery day, we took the opportunity to take to some of the back roads and grab a few stay finds, along the way.
Stopped off here to find a new log book to sign. Another quick find on a cold afternoon.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Driving from Whitfield to Winton and checked this one on the way. Log sheet was almost full so have left a new log book. All good here.
After spending the evening in Whitfield I’m heading in the general direction of Benalla, but as usual not by the shortest route. The valleys were still shrouded in mist this morning making for some mystical scenery. TFTC BettyBoo3747
This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but with some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.
After staying in Corowa overnight, we headed over the border into Victoria. Our first task was to visit another waypoint of a multi which started in Canberra. Then we visited a section of the Warby-Ovens National Park to locate a trig point which was required to meet another step on the GCA Local Government Area (LGA) Trophy Challenge. Whilst there heavy rain started and much of the walk to and from the Trig Point was in the poor conditions. There were three GCA caches closeby and we took the opportunity to look for those. Then we headed back to Rutherglen to look for another trig point before going to Wangaratta for lunch. We took the opportunity to look for a small number of caches in Wangaratta. With the rain persisting, we then headed south towards Whitford looking for caches in the Spirit of Salts series. At times we sat in the car on the side of the road because the rain was just too heavy. From Whitford we continued south through the hills and finally arrived at Mansfield where we stayed the night. By now the rain had stopped. We checked into the motel straight away so that we could get out of our wet clothes. Despite the inclement weather, we still managed a reasonable days caching.
Accurate coordinates and a logical hiding spot led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. The weather conditions at the time were such that there was no view. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.
***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. After 408 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 97.0. We are now entertaining the possibility that we might be able to achieve our gaol before this trip ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****

Firstly apologies for my generic logs. I am staying with a cousin so can’t be too anti social but need to keep up with logging all caches before the weekend.
Most caches were found to be in good condition, though some that have been reported as needing maintenance still need some TLC. All caches were signed, many as SG, which is what I often do in small caches to save space.
Today we commenced our journey to the mega event in Alexandra with the daunting goal of achieving my next milestone - 4000 finds, with 99 caches still to find.
In deference to Pa, a friendly but often impatient muggle, I was up early, on the road by 6:20 am and didn’t start caching until after leaving Wangaratta. We travelled down the Wangaratta to Mansfield Road collecting 21 caches on the way. Some I sacrificed to keep Pa happy with our progress; some were quick, easy finds; others took far too long especially for caches that were only 1-2 difficulty and I had one DNF - again supposedly a relatively easy find but no luck for me. ????
Many thanks to all COs for placing these caches for us to enjoy during our travels.

Cruising north, toward the '1 Month to' event in Wangaratta, in convoy with Snap Happy and Happy Pants. I was trying to catch up to the others after breaking off to do a nearby multi cache. This was a diversion I had to make and quickly found. Thanks for the cache BettyBoo3747.

A minor detour on my way to Wangaratta for an event tomorrow. Thanks BettyBoo3747
I come through here a couple of times a year, as it is kind of a short cut, though the road can be a bit bumpy. I have had this on my radar to grab for a few years now and this time i had no reason but to make a stop. It is certainly a nice view over this area and the farmers paddocks down below. I do remember seeing a pack of wild dogs around this area a few years ago but nothing but a great cache in a great location, hidden by one of the premier geocachers of this region. Keep up the good work.
Found it! On the way home from a week at Dinner Plain with the Walkabouters, I stopped here to find the cache. I over shot GZ and had find a place to turn around. Once at GZ I had no reception so had to guess where it might be hidden and I did! TFTC SL Nice atmospheric view on a stormy day!
We found this cache on 27 Jan 2014, but forgot to log it. Today we revisited and logged again.

A quick and easy find as we cache our way through the area today with mcsee&petal. Great view indeed. Another spot we would never have known about except for the cache here. We dropped off a TB while we were there. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
About to give up on this simple find which in the end was Claire to the road with no need to get seeds and horrible bidgee widgees in your socks. Thank you for the views that made it worthwhile. TFTC
A bit of a detour home, I should have trusted my first instinct, but a bit of time unfounded had left it covered fairly well.

Having just had a late-morning braekfast at nearby Whitfield and visiting Twin Falls (what a unique location!), we decided to grab a few nearby caches. Thanks Betty Boo 3747 for placing this one at a great viewpoint. We had a quick, easy find.
Had to drive off our route to get this one, well worth it with a View and a cache .

Know where it is but I'd never be able to get to it being unsteady on the legs with a dicky knee, so can't get a smiley on my map cause I can't sign the log!
About 400 caches ago, back in 2012 Mrs B and I found "There's Something About Harry" on Powers Lookout and this cache hadn't been born yet. Anyway . . . as we were out caching with a couple of friends today, we decided to start them off at Powers Peak before heading to Whitfield etc. This one popped up onto our geocaching "radar" so we diverted ever so slightly to look for it and find it we did (or "find it you shall" to misquote Yoda!). Nice views too (but can't compare with Powers Lookout).

At the last moment, I received time off of work in order to head over to do the High Voltage 101 power trail and spend time 4WDing in the amazing and wonderful Victorian high country
GPS, thewhitedoggang and Princess Consuela were my travelling companions and great company they were, too [^]
All up, over 6 days, 161 caches were found with only 2 DNFs (one of which we later realised was already disabled )
Also, during our High Voltage experience, I hit my 8,000th cache find
Seems we are now in BettyBoo3747 territory
I've seen logs and even have a PT from you, so it's cool to be here!
Enjoyed the views as we found the cache, thank you.

Travelled from SA to do some High Country trails with The White Dog Gang, Princess Consuela and Locus Cache. We all had a great time.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache, the laughs and the adventure.
Reliving the uphill hell of Day 5 of last year's Great Vic, albeit in an air-conditioned car and driving downhill , was enough incentive to drive down for a look for this one. A nice quick find at 15:40, a look at the views and it was onward.

Caching was a bit more difficult for me today with a gammy ankle but somehow I managed to get this one. I had never been to this area before so it was quite an adventure to have been here. Thanks BettyBoo3747. Your caches have taken me to some extremely beautiful and out-of -the-way places that I would never have seen otherwise.
We wondered if this was a 4WD track but the sedan handled it well. A bit of a hazy day so the camera could not do justice to the magnificent view, but I am extremely grateful to my caching friend o.kay for bringing me here to see this sight and log another cache. Thanks BettyBoo for once again exhibiting the scenery via geocaching
Probably been past this one a few times before I finally grabbed it today. Reckon it was about here where I first repaired a puncture on a push bike a very long time ago. Funny the things one remembers.
Thanks again BB

One of 102 caches found today during a big three day cache run, up to and around Kelly country which included Benalla, Tolmie, Beechworth and Glenrowan. A great three days spent exploring and discovering with a fantastic group of fellow cachers, which we collectively called ourselves 'The Kelly Gang'.
Today being Friday, I spent the day caching on my own as I made my way around the conutryside before meeting up with the rest of the gang at our camping spot for the night at Stringy Bark Creek. I had a nice early start, hitting the road before dawn and the sun rose as I made my way through the Great Dividing Range. A perfect day for caching which included some time biking it around Benalla, before heading for Beechworth to find some 'Challenge' caches and some of the HSS series caches, then back south to Stringy Bark Creek for a fantastic camp fire dinner with some great company.
A short detour off the main road and I was soon at my last find for the day, before the final strech to camp at Stringy Bark Creek. Nice views from GZ down the valley towards Myrrhee. Thanks for the cache and bringing me here.

#5282 We didn't realise that this was a relatively new cache, we were even more surprised that we were just the 2nd visitors to the cache. There was a nice pull over in the shade for the geomobile whilst we did caching duties. Fortunately the cache was found in a logical spot and still in excellent condition. Once the log was signed and the cache rehidden, we stood in the shade appreciating the views that this area offered. Our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the caching stop. Cheers [^]
FTF!!!! Whoo hoo! Out and about very early to beat the heat and hoping for a FTF on a pretty back road to Myrrhee. Yay, we did it. SL at 7.35am Took: Raffy TB Left: echidna. We saw a few parrots and one small wallaby, two cars and quite a few limbs down off trees along the way. A lot cooler this morning with the temperature at only 21 degrees. Time to head to Benalla now for some breakfast. TFTC BettyBoo and the view was certainly worth the early morning drive. #1944
