Thank goodness husband found this! I was despairing at all the possible locations for the hide Smile. Lots of fun scrambling around. Thankyou!

Geo hubby takes the homies for this one! We come to Ventnor twice a year for the bike racing and finally had time for some caching. TFTC great hide

28-Sep-17
Great fun scampering around the Bush and beach with my son, who managed to find it.

20-Sep-17
Enjoying the series but the order we're doing them in seems to be of increasing difficulty. Eventually slogged our way to somewhere near gz and then the fun began. Here and there and up and down. Past logs and photos consulted. Grandsons getting nowhere and the Mum and the Pa getting frustrated. 20mins and the Mum wins out. Locations like this must make cache maintenance hard.

19-Sep-17
Found it but was a fluke. Great spot, we entered from below. Photo was a help.

The log in this cache is sodden and in desperate need of a replacement.
We also suspect the cammo has come adrift, the cache is clearly visible.
Some TLC by the CO would be appreciated by future seekers please.

The Bureau promised some atrocious weather, later in the day, so we made an early start to search for a few more caches in close proximity to Cowes.
The tricky part here, was finding the simplest and least windy approach to the GZ. It was PP who spotted this one, made a little easier as it seems to have lost some cammo. We squeezed our name onto the very soggy log and returned the container as found.

Thanks Jared75182 for placing this cache.

Down Phillip Island with Happy pants for a few days of caching fun. Think we walked the long way to the cache.
Cheers for the cache

13-May-17
Took a while to find the best way to Ground Zero but got in there eventually. We disturbed a nest of slater bugs when we found the cache. It was very wet but we made our impression and had the log signed in the fading light. Emerging from the scrub we were greeted with a brilliant sunset which was a beautiful way to finish the day of caching.

With 3 million geocaches on the planet, we've chosen yours to find. You should be thanking us!

A little walk along the beach, taking in a new side of the island, then off into the bushes for the hunt. I kept getting interrupted by alpha female's text messages, but soon managed to zero in on the spot and locate the hide, now without what appeared to be its camo.

Found with the Phillip Island Crew on our group assault of the island. TFTC

05-Aug-16
A group of us planned a geocaching assault on Phillip Island today, seeing how far we would get in finding all of the approximately 120 available caches. We did aim mostly for puzzles, mysteries and earthcaches so it was no surprise that we ended the day with less than 20 finds... quality over quantity, I suppose Smile.

Walking to this cache was easier than finding it. After some searching we realized it helped having a previous finder with us Big Grin.
Thanks for the sneaky challenge and clever camo, Jared75182 .

05-Aug-16
A big drive down from Geelong for a day out on the Island with friends old and new. A great day with mainly finds save for a couple of D5's. Perfect weather too which had to be happy with, despite the thick fog in the morning! Caches were logged 'The Philip Island Crew - 5/08/16' to save logbook space as a group.

A bit of a walk here, but loved every bit. Great little spot and walk to this cache. Cheers and thanks!

05-Aug-16
A nicely concealed micro that detained us for a non-trivial span of time. Log was signed 'The Phillip Island Crew' as time-saving measure. Thanks Jared75182!

A coastal wander led us to GZ
Another beautiful part of the island we got to see today

Rain finally stopped so off to the beach to watch the sunset - oh gosh, there just happens to be a cache just over there, what a coincidence reasonably quick find, just as well as fish and chips calling

20-Apr-16
A short walk along the beach trying to avoid some plover chicks that the older birds left on the beach when we approached. Then into the scrub and a short search revealed the cache. Signed log and replaced. It looked like it was missing some camouflage. TFTC

It was a perfect day for a stroll along the beach as we headed for gz for this cache, and we made sure to keep well away from the fenced off Hooded Plover breeding area. The cache itself was a quick and easy find, and we picked up a TB to move along while we were there. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

13-Nov-15
Out this morning with OrionJ. This was one of the more interesting walks we did while staying on Phillip Island. Actually most of the walks are interesting. There were notices up here warning people not to encroach on the area where some Plovers were nesting. We easily skirted around this area and spent a bit of time zoning in on the right spot. It did not take too long to make the find them. Once we had our names in the log we headed back towards to car. On the way we came across an Echidna digging for it's lunch. There are so many surprises around this area. TFTC

13-Nov-15
Back onto Phillip Island with LHE Duo, after spending a fun day just off the island on the Rail Trail and this was the last stop for the day. We parked at the top and wandered along down to the beach towards the cache. This was quite an interesting walk seeing a little bit of the wildlife around. There was the hooded plover babies, just hatched. Then on the return from the cache there was the Echidna digging around for it's dinner. Finding the cache took a little longer partly because I got a phone call, but not to long in the end.

TFTC

First time ever my phone took me exactly to GZ. Loved the history lesson here. Especially the knarly tree. Was so nice to be barefoot in the sand and feel the ice cold water on our aching old lady feet. Thanks for bringing us here.

Second of 2 in the area with aquapearl and geokids. Honours go to aquapearl for both finds. A few mothballs to clear out of my brain. Obviously a favourite spot Jared75182. Thanks for bringing us here and learning the history. We loved the beach today and the views. Sunny winter day but no whales today.

Came unprepared without a pen, took us a while but kept looking and, hey presto!

07-Mar-15
I must admit I despaired a little when I read the clues in previous logs... Hanging? Sticks? This was going to be a needle in a haystack! Gah! Fortunately, I found it before the cache rage set in... Nice one. TFTC

05-Mar-15
Great hide, certainly took a bit of thought and searching to find this one. Perfect evening for a walk along a beautiful, deserted beach with a friend who got introduced to geocaching.

18-Feb-15
Last day to grab a few more caches on the island before we move on leaving many caches unfound and I don't like that as I may never be back but time will tell.
A cool day and even bought a hoodie to keep out the chilly wind and wandered down to have a hunt for this guy.
Before we left home we had all solved except the Multies and Traditionals
This would be our last cache today in this wonderful area of PI. Just be careful when finding this guy as the Hooded Plovers are nesting close to GZ but you can safely head into the scrub just before the roped off area.
This is a very good and well thought cache but it may need a little TLC shortly but if finders take a little care it will fool a lot of cachers.
Well done Jared75182 another F.P. today.

26-Jan-15
Stick with it...

19-Jan-15
Just got super confused! Sad

18-Jan-15
Great hide. Watch your head. Second one of the day.

08-Jan-15
On the island today to do a spot of caching with GJM Melb and SeaChels... One of the prereqisits that JMelb came down was that she got to dip her toes (and subsequently her phone) in the water... Whilst she frolicked in the somewhat cooling ocean GMelb had already found this cache), SeaChels and I made our way to GZ... As we got closer I went in alone as SeaChels has some ailments that would prove difficult for her to reach GZ..

Given it is a JARED cache I was expecting a fair bit of a hunt...Once at GZ the cache was actually quite easily found... On the decent back down the dunes, i lost my sunnies, I actually had to climb up again!! ARGH!

Thanks Jared for an amazing location Smile:)

Find #4416

After a reasonable nights sleep at the Big 4 Caravan park, it was time for an early start on an anti clockwise loop of Phillip Island. The weather was looking simply Awesome, so off I went in high spirits ready for a big day caching.

This one was a reasonable walk in along the beach and I had to avoid a bird rookery. Very clever hide, when I stopped to start looking for it, it was staring me in the face!! Razz

Thanks to Jared75182 for placing this cache.
