we found it successfully, I was expecting a cache somewhere else. We found a rat's head while searching, thank you for the cache beautiful view of Mont Cook
The third of four finds today as we travel from Chch to Twizel with family. We must have driven past this cache several times before, and today decided to stop if it was safe to do so. It was, so left the passengers in the car and hopped across the road. I wasn't wearing suitable shoes for the steep drop off from the road, so by the time I found a safer spot to descend, then carefully walked through the prickles, StreetWalkerNZ had found the cache. A quick find as I had read through past logs in preparation and had noted a few helpful things . TFTC.
#23584. We managed to park a short distance off the road (though the two that stayed in the car got buffeted by passing traffic). It didn't take long to get to GZ, and once there the cache was quickly found (thanks to thorough preparation by Troodles). TFTC.
Im on day 1 of the A2O bike ride starting in Tekapo. Very cold overnight temperature and a decent dump of snow up on the nearby mountain ranges. That combined with a head wind and it made the 60km pretty hard going. I said to myself I wouldnt cache as I was too concerned with my battery life - so only 3 finds all up.Here was number 2 A quick findTFTC
Found on our out and back bike ride on this trail. Other logs saved us a bit of searching. TFTC
We found a pretty good pull in just past gz & walked back on the track beautiful walk in the early morning sun. Not keen on the thistles as we were in shorts & sandals. We searched the wrong host first & then got the right spot. TFTC
Couldn't find this one yesterday on my A2O ride from Braemar Station, but read all the logs last night. I had become fixated on the larger obvious object when a smaller one was what I should have been looking for. Felt it rather than saw it today as I drove back home. Tftc. #10148
got distracted with the wrong object. once we had broaden our search it was quickly found. t4tc
Day 2 on our holiday in New Zealand. On the way from Christchurch to Twizel, we also visited this traditional cache, searched the box, found it, and signed the logbook.
***T4T$ - Many thanks to ako99 for hiding and maintaining this cache.***. ️

Day 2 of cycling the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail - cycling 42km from Braemar Station to Twizel. A bit of a detour off the main track towards gz where MrJAG soon had the well camouflaged cache in hand. TFTC
Another one along the trial

We’ve been biking parts of the trail, beautiful clear days amazing views thanks for hiding
We finally managed to get away for a week’s holiday after months of lock downs and cancellations to various trips and flights. After landing in Christchurch we headed to Mount Cook to spend a few days exploring the area, doing a few walks and enjoying the dark sky star gazing, as well as exploring lakes and small towns of the Mackenzie country. We also found lots of geocaches which we enjoyed finding. Thank you to all the CO’s for taking the time to place and maintain these caches.
Travelling the road less taken towards Lake Tekapo. stopped on the side of the road and got wet feet in the long grass, could see that there had been others searching, but we found this one under a smaller rock. TFTC!

Decided on a short ride around the A2O. This was our turn around spot. After getting to GZ we had a bit of a search at the most likely spot but it was hidden under a nearby one.
No rabbits around today but there is sign that they have been here.

This one had us going for a little while. Definitely a rabbit area, and I ended up with the full length of my arm down several rabbit holes (only in NZ would you do this) until the cache was located and signed. Another beautiful spot on a day like today, with Aoraki off in the distance.
Yah level 3 is over at last and we can travel and also cache. So pleased to be able to pay a way overdue visit to my 3 grandchildren close to christchurch and grab a few caches on the road trip through.

#1153. I've been walking the Te Araroa trail since the end of September and this is day 146. This cache is the 79th cache I've found along the way.
I walked through the night from Tekapo to Twizel and got to this point just as the sun was coming up. Mt. Cook was sadly mostly covered by clouds but I did get to see the top of it. The views around here really are amazing.
It took a little while to find but I didn't mind as I had 5 or 10 minutes to wait until the sun came up so I had plenty of time! You don't need to get prickly to find it!
The log was completely full so I've attached a photo here as proof that I found it.
Thanks for the cache! [Here's a link to my Te Araroa blog entry for today](http://teararoa.g2.co.nz/2020/03/15/day-146-lake-pukaki-to-twizel/) for anyone interested!

We searched for ages and ages but could not find the cache. We did see a little gecko who was as interested in us and we were in it. We looked near and far but could not find any signs. There were geocaching tracks all around the place as people looked for the cache. Frustrated.
After a fun day caching and exploring in Mount Cook with BCD it was time to head back to Geraldine with a few stops along the way. A short stroll and then a nice quick find TFTC
On a road trip south, enjoying the day and pic up some caches. TFTC

We are on our summer holiday driving around the South Island with no real idea of where we will end up each day. We are often drawn to an area that has the potential to give us a few geocaching smilies and somewhere we have not spent time exploring before. In some cases we are revisiting placed that we have been before but liked so much we are going there again.
Plenty of good parking here so no worries about pulling off amongst the hoards of traffic.
A nice quick find here as it was in the first place I looked. Gosh it was windy here, it was a bit scary in the high campervan, but it didn't get blown over.
This has been a sad looking little blue face on our map for too long, so today we were determined to find it. With a few 1000 more caches under our belt since we were last here we have developed a wee bit more skill or maybe just stubbornness to not give up.
I soon found a piece of the log near an area we searched last time, so I really thought it must be there and that is where I searched. Why else would there be some of the log right there?? Meanwhile GK searched a bit further afield and yup he found it. I really don't mind who finds them so long as it turns this one into a lovely yellow smiley.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

It seems the rabbit may not have run fast enough as there was quite a bit of fur near GZ.
Fortunately the cache was safe and sound and we made a quick find. TFTC.

Had to look under a few objects to find it eventually. Great views. Top spot. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 1853

Time to get out for a days caching and tidy up some ones we've missed or are new. Lovely fine winter day, GPS and phone at the ready. And this is number 25 for the day so far. TFTC
Auto am Strassenrand parkiert und von dort durchs Gras Richtung Cache. Habe sehr lange an der falschen Stelle gesucht...

I was not biking the trail but it was close enough to the Road to grab...took a few minutes to hone in on the well placed cache..thanks ako99 thus indeed a stunning place
Looking in all the wrong places and finally broadened.my search. No time for views! Thanks for the cache
I've started my beautiful trip of the South Island in Christchurch, I've visited many beautiful locations. I've travelled via Lake Tapeko, from Dunedin to the most southern part of Bluff. I've then continued with a cruise in Milford Sound and then back to Queenstown.
From there on I've visited Wanaka and the Haast pass to the Franz Josef glacier. I went all the way up to the Abel Tasman NP. Richmond und Nelson as the sonnierst cities were on my list as well.
I've soon reached the east coast in Picton and Blenheim.
After a couple of days, I've then travelled back to Christchurch via Kaikoura.
I've spent a couple of days in Christchurch and it's surroundings.
I've visited many geological sites and have found many caches along the way.
I've travelled 3500km and have experienced so much.
Thank you to all the owners
Team sissifalke

I have made a mistake programming my GPS for A2O so only will be able to find the geocaches close to the highway. This one counts! Took a little time (and rest of party had carried on the trail) but was worth the time taken to get my first A2O cache. TFTC
early in the morning, at sunrise, found this cache. its absolut amazing here, thank you very much
Auf unser Tour durch Neuseeland hielten wir an diesem schönen Fleckchen Erde an und fanden diese Dose. Thank you for this POI.
Long chat to some lovely Americans then a protracted search for this (GPS all over the place!) but finally we struck gold! TFTC
This cache we found on the way from Aoraki to Queenstown. Fast stop for the geocache. Nice area. Thank you for cache.
Not exactly where expected but then why would it be. Lovely views today with not many clouds. TFTC and greetings from the UK

On a road trip around South Island. We started from Christchurch 20th late evening. After driving through the night we managed to pick some old caches and have a brief stop over at Omaru geofest. We decided to drive all the way to Bluff and then to CHC via ZQN. After our stay at Twizel, now we are heading to CHC, to catch the plane back to AKL.
Unfortunately the weather was so bad that we couldn't enjoy any views as such. But, had no trouble in finding this one and cache is all good here. tftc.

Headed down south for a roadtrip weekend with harisree, targeting some old caches. Managed to squeeze just far enough off the road here to get this find. Great views. TFTC
The (major road trip was about to begin) that was for the Oamaru Geofest trip in the company of HKCB and iammrwalker for a bit of a road trip across to the west coast, through Haast and in a roundabout way to Oamaru.
My trip stats were as follows: 617 caches (214 Puzzles), 3300kms, 500 litres of Petrol, 21 hours sleep, 100+hours caching time. THe weather was wonderful and apart from about a 6hour period on the sunday we had fine weather all the way and feel that we made a bit of a hole in the region.
Firstly thanks to all the CO's that put in the effort to to set up these caches and to all the CO's whose caches we did not find this trip, well we are already planning our next trip.
We worked hard at getting specific caches (especially the Geo Art around christchurch and hence our concentration on this area for the preliminary 24 hours. So after a couple of running repairs to the rental vehicle (fuses not working) we were off knowing that all ports could be charged and that sleep was for the weak.
Sorry about the copy and paste logs but that is what tends to happen with a number run of this size.
Plenty of people around here camping, almost like a big gypsey community.
