CPwanderer, GoodLook and I headed off for a weekend in Port Lincoln via an overnight stop in Whyalla
Our weekend was unexpectedly extended by a day due to illness and so my tally at the end of the 'weekend' was 168 cache finds
Sadly this was marred by a massive 28 DNFs
Port Lincoln, despite being virgin caching territory for all 3 of us, did not provide us with the pleasure that we had anticipated
So many of the caches were bison tubes and those that we did find, quite often were in places where a larger cache could have been hidden The other issue was the lack of maintenance on many caches
There are people trying their best to maintain the 'wheres wolly' cache hides however their resources are stretched thinly..... so if you are heading over, please pack heaps of cache maintenance containers, bags and log books and help out where you can. [^]
That being said, the trip was still a blast and some great caches were found and great views were seen!
Roaming Wendy very kindly came out with us for the rest of today and as a result, our find count increased as did the laughter in the car
Thank you for your company [^]
DNF! Despite a long search this was yet another DNF

A quick find on a quick walk around the coast to another interesting location. The log book here has got very wet and needs replacing. TFTC
Found it. Looks different from what I expected. Don't trust your device. It may lead you to some very odd places.
This sneaky little one had us searching for a while. Some of the other comments threw us off track a little but we got there in the end. Log was a bit damp, we made sure the lid was secured. TFTC
Quick find. Out on a morning walk along the trail. Holidaying along the peninsula. TFTC
#2358 - Found by Marg on our bike ride around the Parnkalla Trail. Vicious savaged by the mozzies here. on a cold morning.
All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle tour via the highest peak in each State and mainland Territory.

Many thanks to the cache owner viper231 for establishing and maintaining this cache.

TFTC. 2nd find after 2 DNF in Port Lincoln. Lovely places to visit. Decided I do not like looking for bison tubes!
Out on my own this morning for an early morning walk. Beautiful along this track and I have it all to myself. Reading the logs helped me here Thanks for the cache
I have decided i don't really like geocaching in fact i really really don't like it but I'll keep looking.
Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass (signed as m & p), at 1350. Our third day in Port Lincoln. Today, we cached our way around the local area again. Weather further improved, with only a couple of light showers today. Ah! That's better. Managed to find this somewhat larger cache after a short search. Our thanks to viper231.
Found at 1:50 PM GAFF2 in the company of maccamob. We signed the log book as "M&P".
We thought we would give a viper231 cache another go and seeing as it was a small we thought we would have a better chance We still had to get some information from a previous log as our GPSr had us in those dreaded bushes at first [B)]
Thanks viper231.

Thanks viper231.
We signed the logbook.

We found this cache as part of a 4 day trip which went from Adelaide to Sceale Bay returning to Adelaide. The purpose of the trip was to remove Freddo was his home location too near the Clipsal 500 track and for us and Freddo to achieve a difficulty 4 1/2 and terrain 4 cache to make us well rounded cachers. The cache we needed to find was located near Venus Bay and we successfully completed this goal early on Friday morning which left us plenty of time to find "just one more". Loved the scenery and having the opportunity revisit this great area Thanks to viper231 for placing this cache.
I don't know about this "easy find" I keep reading others writing in their logs. When it comes to your caches, I don't think easy enters into it. Thanks for another challenging hide viper231.
I feared my caching skills had gone stagnant !!
I was having a hell of a time trying, and mostly failing, to find caches this morning
And sure 'nuff, after 20 minutes of looking, I had found nothing [:o]
I left this one for my return stroll along the Parnkalla Trail
And on my return stroll, I spied the cache sitting there after only 30 seconds of looking [:o]
Crikey !!
How did I miss that !!

A fairly quick find then we wandered along the track to watch what looked like a salvage operation on a sunken boat not too far off shore.
The sun came out while we were at this location and the day changed from cold to pleasant.
The creek wasn't flowing today but there were a few mozzies around.
Thanks.

Well - I'm used to viper231s caches having unpronouncable names and lots of reading material so didn't recognise this one's ownership until I came to log it. I previously logged Acanthophis antarcticus as my last viper321 cache for this trip to the area - that was an error. Thanks for this cache viper321.
Staying at the Port Lincoln caravan park, while caching in the area.
The cache was found quickly, thanks for the hunt today, viper231.

Found this while on holiday cage diving with the sharks and swimming with the tuna. Dropped of TB. Found with William the Wanderer. TFTH
