After finding the nearby traditional i walked over here to find this one. i found the plaque and made the calculations. i am pretty sure i had the correct final location based on other peoples logs but i couldn't find the cache. Not sure if it's missing or if i just wasn't having a good look due to the mozzies distracting me. I will return to to sign it at some stage after someone else finds it.
Decided to have a quick look on the way to Maitland. Coords easy to solve but got continuously swooped at by a plubber so decided to come back at another time
10:10:00 AM. This was a pretty quick multi. Solved and signed on a cool morning. No one on the water. Thanks GPHE for placing this cache.
the fifth of five finds whilst out for get outdoors day.
After find wood fire I strolled back to my car and the sign that was close by. Gathered the data needed then sat at an empty park bench to number crunch.
Whilst there I received a call from a fellow cacher chasing the final to the world cache which I have previously found. I hopefully set him on the right path.
Meanwhile I had some new coordinates to work with. Punched them into my GPS unit and it was a short walk away to the opposite end of the park to where I have been. A second walk soon had me at GZ and a look around I soon spied the tell tale sign of the hide. Retrieved the cache, signed the log before replacing as found. tftc and an easy two step multi.

It was a very rainy weekend but we felt like getting out to get some caches. This was a nice and quick multi and the cache was found easily. Less muggles about because of the weather but some very large puddles to avoid. TFTC
On our holiday, xhead and I travelled some weeks through south and east Australia. We arrived in Melbourne early in the morning with the "``Spirit of Tasmania" coming from Devonport. With our small campervan called "Herbie" we drove along the Great Ocean Road, then coming back to Melbourne again and driving on to Sidney and then Brisbane. We explored a lot of places, beautiful beaches, wild mountains and hidden trails. On our way, we could manage to find one or another geocache . Thanks for hiding all these caches around Australia and greetings from Germany, Akirey
Together with Akirey I spent some weeks in Australia. We drove the Great Ocean Road, visited Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney. We also climbed some mountain like Mt. Kosciuszko and swam in the ocean. Sometimes we searched for a geocache. This one was one of them we could found. a little cache tour and found some nice caches.

Cheeky hide, love it. Kids had fun looking everywhere for this one. Almost gave up then "Boom" there it was. TFTC.
This one was actually quicker than wood fire down the road. A very straightforward multi. Thanks.
We had travelled up from Sydney to Port Stephens, camping at the Lemon Tree Passage Big4 Koala Shores caravan park, for our annual summer holiday. But now, after eight fun filled days of swimming, bushwalking and caching, we are finally on our way back to Sydney. But the caching frenzy isn't quite over yet, with stops at Medowie and Raymond Terrace planned for the way home. This was the 6th find of the day, 64th find of the holiday.
Parked the geomobile & camper trailer in Finnan Park, just in front of the WP1 plaque, and headed over to the plaque. After gathering the required info, making the required calculations, and entering the new coords into the Garmin GPSr, it was off to final GZ.
And a quick check of the most obvious hiding spots soon had CIH. TNLNSL and then replaced as found. TFTC.

Companions: 3 Geokids
Muggles: A few nearby
Weather: Hot summer afternoon
I was on the way to Port Stephens for a few day's camping with the kids. On the way we needed a comfort stop, so decided to stop at this park. The water level of the dam was lower than expected given the recent heavy rain.
We parked near WP1 and gathered the necessary information and headed off. GeoBoy11 stayed and read a book, GeoGirl8 joined me for the walk while GeoBoy4 played in between. When we got to GZ it didn't take too long to find the right spot, given the lack of many choices. We signed the log, replaced the container, then headed across to the other cache in the park. TFTC

9983. Found during a weekend visit to the Newcastle/Nelson Bay region.
With most of the day available for caching I decided to head up and try out the Nelson Bay Power Trail. After (nearly) completing that I headed to Raymond Terrace for a couple more. Stopped for this bonus Multi on the way. I was last here doing the Wood Fire Trad back on 27 September 2010 ! Info quickly gathered and a quick find at GZ - very nice.
Thanks GPHE - nice to revisit the area !
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....

Found with scalex9, while on a rest stop from Nelsons Bay, thanks for the multi.
Finally found it, second time here thanks to my beautiful wife /mum. Mummas first find! TFTC
So we are just using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone, supposedly we were where we should be? Checked math on riddle twice and still no find! Can anyone varify a more recent find please.
Thanks

It was a fabulous sunny day to be in Finnan Park and we soon had our information and were calculating. At first we thought we had made a mistake because GZ did not have many likely places, and yet there it was, very neatly hidden. Thanks for a great cache in such a top location.
A quick find after a small walk. Got a bit cocky 15m out and for some reason decided to look in the manhole. Ha ha idiot. A much simpler hide was not far away! Weather was glorious today and kids loved the playground. TNLN TFTC
It was well dark by the time this hunt was started. Appropriate notes were made and calculations applied. At GZ it was a relatively straight forward find of a well hidden cache. The timing was perfect as some night time picnickers arrived just as I was returning to the geo vehicle. Thanks for bringing me here GPHE. It was a fun find at 17:40 tonight, with Air Force fighter jets thundering overhead!
Cheers

Find No: 4505. Out today with Mrs Grub Fred to look for a few caches that I haven't had a chance to try so far, TFTC GPHE!!
Went for a drive to have a look around, and grabbed a few caches in the area.
A nice straight forward multi, with a clever hide at the end.
Many thanks for placing this cache, GPHE, for us and others to find.

Got to this one today with the geomum and the information at the waypoint was gathered quickly then it was off to what we thought was gz. I had a quick look around and said to myself this doesnt look like the description said it was? Rechecked the maths and were 10 meters out, found quickly after that TFTC
We were heading home from the Central Coast after a quick visit overnight, when we called in to Raymond Terrace for some pizza for dinner and to break up the trip back to Bonny Hills. Mrs BG asked where would we like to eat it and I said with a grin on my face, "there's a nice spot just around the corner"[^]. So although the gates were across the driveway preventing us driving in, we wandered in and found a nice shady spot overlooking the water for dinner. While we were eating, I figured out the coordinates on a pizza box, so by the time we were finished we all wandered over for the find.
Thanks GPHE for the cache and cheers from Browngang

Day 2 of our trip home from a family holiday on the Gold Coast and after parting company with my geo-daughter and her family (after we had done a few caches we both wanted to do together), I travelled on alone picking up a few park'n'grab caches along the way. After turning from the highway into Medowie Rd to visit the rest area cache right there at the junction, I then decided a loop around the lake to get back to the highway would be the way to go when I saw there were two caches along the lake.
After finding the nearby Wood Fire cache, I turned my attention to this multi and quickly gathered the info I needed to get to GZ. But, at that point, my GPS device decided to spit the dummy and I had great difficulties getting a fix on the final location. With a bit of perserverance and swearing, I got it to at least tell me what direction I had to go ... not a bearing though, just on which side of me GZ might be. Resorting to the use of a bit of geo-sense, I was able to target likely spots in that direction and the search for a micro in a haystack began. Fortunately, though, the luck I had with the previous cache was still with me and I was soon able to spot another tell tale sign of a hide ... hallelujah!!
Thanks for a fun cache and the smiley, GPHE.
PS
The logsheet was full, not to mention a bit tatty, but as luck would have it, I had a spare sheet in the car ... and is now in the cache.

I love a short and sweet multi and this didn't disappoint. En route to Nelson Bay I took the 'long' way to pass By here - cool dam. The kids tlook off for a play, pleased there was a nice breeze to break the heat of the day. I got the required tidbits and set off to GZ - felt like there was some sort of magical spray over the lake as it started to sprinkle right there - which was beautifully refreshing in today's 40 degree heat. The cache was found quickly tbanks to the tell tail at gz and we were back on our way. Thanks for a tops multi!
pick friends up at airport and stop for cuppa for while then work out zoom found cache... Hide well..Thank

It had been raining most of the day and was still raining when I picked up my son. I decided on this geocache, with a nice big detour. We were halfway here when the sky cleared up. I didn’t know if it was going to last till we got there, yet twenty minutes later it was still bluish when we got out of the car, but I knew we were on borrowed time. We parked right in front of the plaque, which took me a second to see. I then quickly worked out the new coordinates, which took us to the middle of nowhere. I looked at where it was and did not want to stick my fingers in there, so I looked for somewhere else. After sliding the lid off a nearby structure I realised it was not in there, but you could have and made it a LARGE. So I went back to the first spot and finally pulled it out by its tail. By this time Junior was getting a bit impatient, so after signing and returning the cache, we headed towards the playground. This park must get some very unsavoury characters, as I had not seen a sign like we saw near the sheltered area. Luckily for us it was a horrible day and we had the place to ourselves. The equipment was all wet and he had not even been down the slide before it started sprinkling. I tried the dry the slide a bit, before giving him five or so goes in quick succession, then we had to run back to the car. The ride home was long, dark and wet, unlucky for junior as his pants were saturated.
Thanks for the nice little multi, great afternoon and break in the wet weather!

[Blue]Our 8468th overall find.
Found this one this morning early before starting work for the day. Took the opportunity to take a stroll. I was a bit worried by the suspect man who headed into the ladies toilets though...
Thanks GPHE for the cache. [/Blue]

An easy multi to solve and I walked over to where I would have hiden a cache and soon had the extraction device in hand.
We needed a cache for the day so we headed over to claim this one on the way back from newcastle.
A nice multi with a nice scenic view on this sunny day, TFTC.

In the area this morning to try a couple of Wherigo's thought I would try for this one. No luck this trip
Driving to Nelson's bay thought we stop and some caches on the way. Could see from the west but not the east. tFTC
An empty park made for an easy, uninterrupted search, and the cache was found quite quickly, after I had first collected and collated the required information. But I did wonder if Big Brother was watching me as I was buzzed by RAAF jets whilst searching and signing! TNLNSL TFTC
Found at 10:07 AM GAFF1. It was absolutely bucketing down while I was getting the information for this cache. And then trying to work out the final co-ords was not much fun with rain drops splashing all over the paper . Raced over to GZ hoping that I hadn't mucked up the calculation and immediately saw a possibilty - lunged for it and there it was! Ahhh how sweet and under pressure too [^]
The park quickly goes under water around here - maybe it is water logged
Thanks GPHE.

Was at work today when a few new caches were published but could not leave so when I finished checked this one to find there had not been any logs. At arrival at gz retrieved the required information did the maths and went walking. There was a few muggles around so wandered a bit looking around till the sneaky little hide was found and a blank log discovered. Now watching the ducks and the RAAF planes while writing log.
Thanks for the cache GPHE
