I previously DNF-d this cache on 16/08/2024 when it was missing, and the CO has kindly visited this cache since and replaced it. I hadn't been in the area since, and the CO recently nudged me that the cache was available to be found, so with my visit today, here I am. I consequently found the cache exactly where it should have been last time, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. It is always nice to avenge a blue frown with a smile; Thanks [Nurseyjulie](https://coord.info/PR6R7HT) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today on my Flex Friday day off work, my plan was to the bushlands and national parks behind Lake Manchester, targeting "legendary" [The sit here in the shade cache](https://coord.info/GC4RV04) multi-cache.Initially, I detoured through North Ipswich and Chuwar for a couple of caches south of my targeted area, and then set off on my electric MTB from the Little Mermaid lookout trailhead. The morning was enjoyable as the terrain was friendlier, and the heat was reasonable. However, as I rode around my loop, I exhausted my water, e-MTB's battery, energy and morale, and the hills got steeper upon my return trip from Gold Creek Reservoir. It became quite hot and humid, and there was no wind to offset these tough conditions. Upon my return, I strategically detoured for a cold drink and picked up a few last Kenmore geocaches, before my swimming pool beckoned my return.
Feeling a little silly after not finding this one with a difficulty rating of 1. Checked what I thought would be all the usual spots for a quick find on the way home from work, but no luck.
I had a quick look in both spots either side of the road, but had a detailed search where GZ counted down to zero. Unfortunately, the cache looks to be missing as I found its attachment mechanism, but no cache nearby. Thanks anyway [Nurseyjulie](https://coord.info/PR6R7HT) for the cache placement.----------Today, I headed west to Brookfield and Pullendale area and targeted the *axe and pick* geoart series that were accessible from the road (or short walks).I started in Kenmore and Kenmore Hills, and then ventured north to Brookfield where I walked/jogged some of the trails in Gold Creek Reserve. It was then time to pick up the *axe and pick* geoart series in Upper Brookfield and Pullendale, and then another enjoyable walk in Moggill Conservation Park. My remaining time was then utilised to visit Bellbowrie and Moggill for a few last geocaches. A terrific winter blue sky day!
Decided to throw the towel in after seeing evidence of velcro with nothing attached.
On our wayfor Christmas lunch mark 2 as I had covid at Chrustmas. Got in trouble forlaughting at Gorjess516 when she accidentally kicked a cane toad in the grass and screamed! In my defence I didn't know she had hurt her ankle. Gorjess found this one. TFTC
On our way out to see family for lunch. Quick park and grab. This is our first cache for the day. Theres none out where were going so I think I might try to scope the place out and pop some down. As I got out the car I wasnt looking and as I stepped I kicked a cane toad causing me to jump in the air and scream, as I landed I rolled my ankle At GZ, we checked both sides of the road before I went back to the first place I looked for a more thorough search. Used my camera. TFTC, found with mugglemum.
Well, no. Im not so O.C.D. enough that I had to find the flooded mini-series of caches in number order! I just found #1 down near Moggill Road. Then found #3. Ill go back for #2 one day with no dogs, I think. Although I am O.C.D. Enough that I had to put full stops between the O, C and D. LOL
We really underestimated how hard this was gonna be but just found it before giving up:) Tftc

I had a bunch of caches in the Brookfield area to collect, so popped geodoggo in the car and headed in that direction.
Arrived at gz and quickly spotted the cache. Log signed, all replaced as found.
Thanks Nurseyjulie for the cache.

A very easy find today. I don’t know how I missed it last time. I think this section of the guardrail was barricaded off last time I was here. All good now, though. TFTC Nurseyjulie
Loving exploring a different suburb every Sunday. Had to check both sides as we didn’t think it was in the middle of the road. Tftc
Quick drive by find on an afternoon where the weather looks rather threatening. With a few DNFs I was a little concerned but placed my hand straight on it.
Hoping to squeeze a few n before the skies open up.
Cheers

Checked all the usual places on both sides of the road and couldn’t see it. They have installed a camera on this crossing so I felt a bit weird poking around too much.
Tftc, passing by and stopped off to look for the cache.
Made the find.
All is in good condition.

Cache must have been flooded as when we opened it we had to tip out dried mud. Signed and returned
The cache was found in the first place I looked, just not the first time I looked there. I returned to have a better look after checking a few other places and there it was staring in the face.TFTC Nurseyjulie
Driving south, we had to drive on past this location and park around the corner, walking back along the impressive fence and extensive yard to GZ. Once there, we couldn’t get the GPS to settle so checked both sides of the road. On first inspection, we didn’t see anything, but when we looked more closely we spotted the geocache somewhat further in than we had expected and DisSister was able to grab it for us.

Hunting down a few cache's in the area today with Liz & Bruce and Chamad. This was a nice quick find due to multiple eyes at GZ.

Out today with Team Tyrrell and Liz and Bruce collecting puzzle caches and anything else in the area. This was one of today’s collections; while we were mainly concentrating on the sound series of caches it was hard not to collect others as we passed by. It was a fun day with lots of laughs and joking along the way, I’d be happy to cache any day with these people.
All good with this cache, thank you to the CO for placing this one here.

Out with chamad and team tyrell today finding caches in the area. Thanks for hiding and giving us the opportunity to explore this area.
While waiting for a break in the traffic I was entertained by reading woodyrothwell’s log... tftc...
We parked in the side street which we thought was a good idea until a thousand cars came from all directions and we had caused a traffic jam. Luckily I’m well versed in reading the facial expressions of disgruntled drivers so I couldn’t possibly spell out their words in this log.
On the 100 metre walk to GZ we were accompanied by two ducks (the flying kind, not the old ones that sit in the pub and complain about the youth of today). They would run a few metres ahead us and then wait until we caught up.
I resisted all urges to throw a culinary quip at them because they seemed to be happy walking with us. The joke was on us because they were playing a game of “Duck, Duck, Goose” and we weren’t the ducks. tftc

After re-reading a log for this, we realised that we had been getting hung up on the map overlay as opposed to widening our search. Parked, grabbed, signed and returned within 40 seconds today. Our fastest park n grab yet! TFTC Nurseyjulie
This was a quick park, walk to GZ and Grab before signing and returning cache to hide. Cache was dry and in good order. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
Caching in this lovely part of town.
A short walk and there it was.
Another cacher found and signed
Thank you for this cache

Quick easy find here & the 1st day of our 7 days in a row caching challenge. TFTC
Out this morning to tick off some prospective smilies and this is where we chose to start. As per the D/T , we had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for... and yet nothing made itself apparent. Surely it can't have been muggled so soon after replacing? We widened the search area and braced our hands as we groped past local guardians to seek each crack and crevice but all was for nought. Thoroughly enjoyed the creek, as did Geokid who dropped in a few rocks for good measure.
Saw that this had been replaced so came back this morning to try again. After a little zeroing in I soon had the nifty cache in hand. Signed the fresh log and headed off. Tftc!
On a hunt with the geokids...
Relocates the cash to a location as per the coordinates and map.
Someone moved it across the road before and wasps build a nest next to it.

Quick easy find braved the wasps and quickly grabbed it out signed and returned as found
I found it but there‘s a wasp nest next to the box. Therefore I did not use the logbook and a picture would show the hiding spot. Tftc
As it is approaching coffee time, we went off kilter to look for a hot beverage and saw there was this greenie waiting for us to find it.
Dodging the traffic, we hightailed it across the road and found the cache in lightening speed...

Nice easy find once on the right side of the road. I was happy to find this after logging dnf on a nearby cache. Tftc.
The grounds next to this cache is simply gorgeous. Another nice quick grab today.
Super busy afternoon around Brookfield. I could see where I needed to go when I parked around the corner, but had to wait for muggle father and son on their bikes and muggle senior ladies out for their arvo walk to pass before I could go in for the grab . I quickly signed the log and replaced as found before the next set off muggles passed by! Tftc

Out with totalube today after we said goodbye to NyssaFlutterby earlier in the day, we had been to the reservoir and were just on the end of our free time when we decided to stop for this cache too. Pulled up in the side street, and wandered on over.
Ah well we know where we are looking. Yep can see it. So I reach in....
And what I failed to see was the giant wasps' nest right above the cache, which my hand brushed against. Pulling it back out I moved a little differently and safely extracted the cache for totalube to mark our names in, and could feel a very slight stinging at the base of my thumb. Yep I got a warning sting from one of those cache guardians.
Cache replaced but not exactly where it was, preferring the safer option of the road side parallel to its original hide so as not to disturb the wasp family any further.
Thanks for the cache Nurseyjulie, I'm on my way for that first aid now please.
(Only kidding, it was the smallest little sting, I think it hardly had made contact, don't worry)

Our last find of the day, the cache was found quickly, and so was the wasp nest near. 1MinnieMoo carefully retrieved the cache and we signed the log book.
The cache was replaced in a slightly different area away from the wasps.
Thanks

Filling in time before Christmas day, passing by, stopped for a quick find. Thanks for the hide.
Took the geo kids for a small walk and to some parks today.
Well, the D/T rating says it: an easy find. TFTC, Nurseyjulie

An easy find on a surprisingly busy road.
Parking is available on the road side if you choose carefully but i parked in a nearby side street.
A nice peaceful area to visit.
Signed and returned. Tftc

1st cache of the day. Quick find between some passing Sunday traffic. Checked out creek while Muggle walked passed. We were surprised with the directionality of the flow of water in the creek. TFTC.
This area may have flooded previously, but the bridge certainly doesn't intend to float away next time by the look of it. Started on the wrong side of the road, but a quick find after I crossed over. What would geocachers do without wretched Eclipse tins? TFTC, Nurseyjulie.
A quick drive-by with Jelly the Wonderdog. I'd love to see the reason behind the flooded part, but hopefully not to anyone else's misfortune. Floods in Queensland are spectacular and heartbreaking all at the same time Log signed and container replaced.
Thanks for the cache Nurseyjulie
