An early start today, up at 6am, pack everything out of the cabin and get into Beechworth and on the trail as early as we could. Planned to cycle for 90min away form Beechworth collecting cache, then back for cafe breaky at 9am, was yummo! Then we collected a few cache on the way to the other end of todays Trail adventure whic was the triangle. We did the Triangle buT the temp was getting up into the high twenties so we decided not to complete the trail on bikes. This is fine, it means we have to come back! We then headed on a little adventure to the to of Mt Buffalo, did a few short walks and picked off a few more. Such stunning views up here, cant wait to get back already. Fantanstic effort by the CO's, just about every cache was in great condition. TFTC.
On the final day of the long weekend of caching, Gunks and I hit the trail early at 630. Grabbing 25 cache while cycling along the trail before returning to Beechworth for brekky. Picked up a couple more before hitting the other end of the trail. Became too hot before we could finish so headed to Mt Buffalo for a scenic viewing and a couple more cache. Great caches. Thanks for taking the time to set them all up.
A nice quick find by Little Miss S as we walked the trail towards Wangaratta. Thanks for the hide.
We wrote a small TLW as the log is rather full and needs to be replaced. Sorry we didn't have any with us to do it.
I was very lucky to have the opportunty to visit your country in October and November. In that period I was able to visit/find you, which made me more happy.
Thanks for maintaining this cache and showing me the nice spot in your beautiful country.

This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but withe some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.
For the first part of the day we cached from Craigieburn to Wangaratta looking for caches which were easy to access as we headed north. For the remainder of the day we cached from Wangaratta to Beechworth. Each time we visit Wangaratta we try to allocate some time to look for caches in the Wangaratta, Myrtleford and Beechworth areas. During our earlier visits we concentrated on the excellent Hoop Star series and we started on some sections of the rail trails as well as individual caches in each of the areas. This trip we were hoping to explore some other sections of the extensive rail trails.
After caching on the rail trail closer to Wangaratta we came to Beechford later in the day as we were staying there for the night. After booking into our accommodation and having tea, we decided that there was sufficient remaining light to look for a few caches from the Beechford end of the trail. After finding the cache at the Beechford Railway Station, we headed a little further down the trail to look for this cache. Our GPS units clearly indicated the area of the hide but getting in was another matter - that hawthorn is certainly very prickly. Once under the canopy, a quick find was made but we were disappointed to see that such a carefully constructed cache was in three pieces - it had been pulled apart and just left. Thankfully the cache was in good condition. After signing the logbook we reassembled the cache container. Thanks BeechworthSC1 for this cache.
***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. After 59 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 87.5. Progress is being made but there is still a long way before we achieve our goal.*****

The first of seven I collected today along the MMRT. To give credit where it's due, all the finds were fantastic.
I decided to park down where the trail intersects Mellish St. then walk up towards the railway station.
A muggle was setting out about the same time but she was hindered by her young one.
At GZ the clue was very helpful, and after a brief search the very-well crafted cache was found.
SL at 11.30pm. Very clever and I can see why it is a crowd favourite. I got back onto the trail fortunately long before the muggles arrived. TFTC BeechworthSC1.

Not somewhere a muggle would go. I was so invisible that I heard some people discussing my seemingly abandoned bike alongside the track - only a few metres away! Nicely engineered container, but the log is full. Very pleasant shade on a hot day... Thanks for the discovery.
How good is this one! We were looking at putting a similar one out at some stage! TFTC
Nice to see its not just another sistema container under a tree! Very creative TFTC Found with TopTox
Short leg to our trip today - Bright to Beechworth, but boy, what a lot of caches. Log is now full & requires replacement.

Suscoe was out in the terrific company of Phetlern today on abig expedition..
It was another delightful day for caching and we had a terrific time finding lots of caches around the countryside.
As we have mentioned elsewhere, the country side looks great and the bush is full of bird calls today.
Thanks to BeechworthSC! for this hide.

With a base in Wangaratta, this was our second day of adventure into the valley of acronyms - including E2W, E2B, HSS, and MMRT to grapple with in the company of wonderful team mates the Suscoe duo from Geelong. The weather was warmer than we are used to at the coast, however we ticked quite a few boxes for the day and were rewarded with a number of smiley tokens.

Out and about today for my last full day in Bright, I headed out of town towards Beechworth, a town I am fond of. So much history and scenic locations. Another quick find. The log sheet is pretty much full on both sides. Only just enough room to squeeze one or two more names on it.
My thanks to BeechworthSC1 for the cache.

A 4 day trip from Adelaide to Everton, Beechworth and surrounds.
8 of South Australia's finest caching teams came across the border Freddo, Team Astro, The White Dog Gang, Four Fun, Unicycle, Southern Cross Caching, Shonkloic, and Team Waldron hit the bike trails and country back roads.
It wasn't nice the the mozzies were sent to defend the ceches against us but we persisted.
On the way home we visited Bendigo, St Arnaud and many towns in between.
Many thanks to all the cache owners who put out caches for us to find.
A great time was had and we left enough to make another trip worthwhile.

SAWSTUFF weekend with Astro, Waldron, SxC, TWDG, Uni, Four Fun and Freddo. Thanks BeechworthSC1
Found on an awesome trip with the SAW STUFF boys (Shonky, Astro[me], Waldron, Southern Cross, Whitedog, Unicycle, Freddo & Four-Fun). The trip had it all including this awesome cache. There were pots and schooners (no pints) , mazzive mozzies the size of small elephants we hitched rides on , realistic lizards, real live [xx(] kangaroos that got too close and uphills. Then there were bikes and pumps. There was sweat and dust but no tears. My thanks to the group and the coordination that enabled an amazing fun filled few days that will go down in caching-lore. [^]
Thanks to BeechworthSC1 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
So tired. We CAME. We CACHED. We SAW STUFF. Eight South Australian caching teams on the prowl in Lake Victoria. We were attacked by vampire mosquitoes. We were attacked by rogue magpies. We were attacked by brown snakes. We were attacked by running kangaroos. We were attacked by publicans and cooks. In the end we got the message and went home, but not before finding lots of hidden cachey things using billions of dollars of satellites and cheap hand-held devices.
One of many fun finds on along the way on the "SAW STUFF" road trip to central Victoria with Shonki, Astro, Waldron, Southern cross, Twdg, Uni & Freddo [^]

I was on leave so plans were made to head to the Beechworth area with My good Mate the Roostaman, Today the weather was perfect and we spent most of the day riding the MMRT trail from Beechworth to Everton, I was glad I had not decided to ride my 2k carbon bike down the trail as it turned out half the caches were off on another much rougher trail?? We found several of the caches along this section with wet and full logs. Thanks BeechworthSC1 for the cache.

Left home early and headed for the event in Beechworth today.
A few caches prior to the event, a nice couple of hours at the event, and a few more afterwards made for a very pleasant day.
I had some fun with prickly trees here but it didn't take too long to find it once I looked near the right tree. I had parked the car at the station and enjoyed the short walk in the sun.

A long weekend and another trip with the geo 'rents and geobro'. What a cool way to spend Easter
Headed for Albury for 2 nights and then Bendigo for 1 night and we took each day as the caches came. A turn here, a turn there, a dirt track here and there and miles and miles of bitumen [^]
LOL, I've just seen one of geobro's cache logs and it reads very much like mine
Although he forgot to mention that he not so kindly shared his viral germs with geomum and I! [xx(]
Today (day 2) I found 76 caches and had 4 DNFs
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
We didn't have pushbikes with us this trip but this sure would be a nice ride
Maybe we can talk geodad into bringing us back another trip....with our bikes
These were good little finds and tempted us to see this trail completed...one day
The camo on these was pretty good too [^]

We're off on a four day geofamily (Geodad: moneydork, Geomum:Tounga, Geosis: locus cache and geobro: ME) road trip adventure heading to Albury and Bendigo. A lot of miles were covered, many sights seen, lots of laughs, mirth and merriment during the trip. Oh, we found a few caches along the way as well.
Geosis found this cache, nobody else could get near to the hide.
Thanks for the cache BeechworthSC.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.

Found by Mary & David at 0900. Our first for the day after staying in town overnight. Weather promises another beautiful day. The plan today was for D to ride the MMRT while M again drove the geoPrado as the support vehicle with lunch courtesy of the Beechworth Bakery. Decided to start from the Beechworth end for a mostly down hill ride. Spotted this one easily. Our thanks to BeechworthSC1.
Found with Snickersallan on our second trip to Albury this year. Long hard slog today, not as young as I used to be
Enjoyed the adventure of coming down from Sydney with Bluewattle to attempt a few series in this area. The bike track was very easy to ride on and to get to most of the caches. Thanks CO for the great hides and TFTC
Found 3:49:00 PM, on a cycle expedition down and then back up a portion of the Beechworth to Wangaratta rail trail. We were swooped by magpies four times and saw a large black snake across the trail during our journey, and finished the day at the Bridge road Brewery.
TNLN, thanks BeechworthSC1.

It was a great day for a bike ride so thought it was time to come back and pick up the new caches that have been placed since we were last here. Spotted this one from a distance but had to wait for muggles to get further away. Made a quick dash, log signed and back at the bikes before any more muggles appeared. This was our last cache for the day, so know for the down hill run back to Everton.
Thanks to BeechworthSC1 for the amount of time and effort that has gone into creating and placing the variety of cache containers.

Tricky tricky. Checked for muggles then ducked into the area the cache was said to be. Saw it as i must have been at the right angle to see its camouflage. Removed a earwig from its hiding place. Signed and replaced. I love this cache!
Found the cache and I loved the container on this one, so I'm giving it a favourite point.
The effort put into this one is just great.
Thanks for taking the time to put the cache out for us and others to find.
There are some pretty good caches around here and despite the cold we have had a fun filled day with plenty of laughs and smiles.

#3346 - 16:30; On a caching run around the Beechworth area with fitzy_1965 and Sol de lune including a couple of sections of the rail trail to Wangaratta. After a swing through El Dorado, it was back towards Beechworth and some challenge caches which were on the 'to do' list for the trip. Once they were taken care of, it was time for a couple more in the area as we headed back towards Beechworth. With some time to spare before the event later in the evening, a few more caches around the town were in order. I had encountered something similar the previous evening, so soon had the cache in hand. TFTC BeechworthSC1

After finishing a big chunk of the E2W and MMRT series we did a few caches around Eldorado then headed back to the Beechworth area. Decided to fill a few gaps in this series. Quick find. We Signed, return the cache, and then we headed off to the next one.

Really enjoyed the Beechworth area, reminds us a little bit of Arrowtown in NZ so decided to stay extra night. Asked the owner/manager of Woolshed Cabins accom where to hire a bike after explaining what geocaching was about. He said there were free bikes available in town but we could use his bike & that Beechworth to Everton would be down hill - great !
This was one of over forty caches found today, Thanks to all the COs in the area for their cache placements to make this a highlight of our trip.
