A nice and quick find while driving up in already a familiar hiding place in NZ Thanks!
Dunno what it is about the GZ but it felt just a nice place... Cheers for bringing me here
Took a quick stop on our way to Arthurs pass to look for this cache. Quick find. TFTC!
Dieser Cache konnte heute erfolgreich geloggt werden.Danke an den owner fr's legen und pflegen TFTC Schmerzbefreit
Down to Christchurch on a trip and out caching today with family. A nice quick p 'n g here on the way past, TFTC
Day 1 of a 4 day road trip. Today we're heading east to west, final destination Arthur"s Pass. There's a fair few k's to cover before we reach our destination. It's good to be finding BtG caches again. TFTC
Found it! Accidentally shot past the last cache, but there was a good place to pull the car over here, and the cache was found where it was expected. TFTC!
I’m Bridget, so got to love a cache with Bridge in the name LOL. Thanks for the cache.
When you see a barrier, being a geocacher, its a very natural thing to do, to check for a cache. Such was the situation here. Even without opening the cache page or knowing there is a cache here, this was been found. TFTC.
#10,019. Day 2 of the extended Labour Weekend geocaching road trip. I flew down with geocaching buddy Infoferret yesterday with a target list of geotour caches, adventure labs, puzzle finals, a few virtuals and a hike to get the DGSC final. We can't resist stopping to pick up a few traditionals on the way to boost the overall numbers. The Adventure Labs claimed during the week down south have thrown my overall numbers into chaos. Maybe the souvenir 10,000 find will pop up today rather than on Bank's Peninsula. Who knows when.
The BtG series was going to be one we got very familiar with today. The caches are well placed to stay dry and I was impressed with the good condition they were in. Most were quick and easy finds. This one was placed before we ascended Porters Pass on a warm sunny spring day. Signed the logbook, replaced and on our way again. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here.

Found as part of an epic trip around the South Island with GSEL – from Akaroa to the West Coast and back again over the Arthurs and Lewis passes. The weather was amazing, and the scenery breathtaking.
Due to my lack of preparation, I had forgotten to load this cache on my phone and log at the time, hence a second round of catching up on the logs I forgot. I will add more notes for the caches where I can remember them! TFTC.

Found while out on a tour of the West Coast with Thedbees. Nice and easy park and grab. TFTC
Went on a road trip with my daughter CalumD out to the West Coast and collected this while passing. A quick and easy find. TFTC.
Enjoying the Bridging the gap series and here's another one, our third of girls day TFTC
Found while driving from Christchurch over to Hokitika. Flat plains to the sky and now into the foothills. Magic scenic country. TFTC
I looked and looked and looked for this one a while back but no luck. Found it today. I must have looked right over it. Happy to get rid of the blue face. Thanks for the cache.
I am out on my own today, big bro had other things to do and besides he has found these caches earlier.
I am mainly locating and signing off th BtG series and any others that get in the way.
One of the BtGs.
Cheers for the cache.

It was easy for the navigator to direct the driver to the parking spot here. Just stop at the upcoming shrp corner. Easu parking and easy find so no barrier to logging this one,
Thanks.
Thanks.
Will do a cut and paste for these bridge caches, All found on a rainy day with Coconuts3, but a bit of humour and willing to get the smilies, who cares?! TFTC
Out with busy paws on a miserable day for caching, but lots of laughs in our 4x4. Enjoyed the views into the valley from here. Thanks for the cache gracie7 + Mum.
I've been interested in finding this series of caches ever since they were published. Finally, I'm here. I think this is only the second time I've been on this road, the first time was probably a one-stop trip, silly eh! I much prefer taking my time, stopping lots, having a good look around and - - - just breathing the air. Thanks for helping me do just that!
Just a few more to visit now .

Quick find today especially with so few cars on the road. Not often able to stop because of the traffic. All good with cache. Tftc
Could not find this one today. Hopefully someone else has more luck than I did
A nice walk start place some day will have some time to do. Thanks for the cache.
Hey another quick snag and tag at another BTG to slow us down along the way. Cheers
Friday today, we explored from Rangiora to Lake Lyndon
Its Queens Birthday weekend and The Seagnoid, Zara and I are heading out of town for a long weekend to Arthurs Pass, via Kaikoura. Had a fantastic weekend, seeing lots of new places, limestone formations, amazing views, awesome beech forest walks, but getting nowhere fast. Bloody cold at times with -3deg frosts but thankfully the snow stayed on the top of the highest mountains.. Enjoyed driving back via Lake Brunner, Murchison. An awesome few days exploring.

Taybeedragon and I are on a five day extended Queen's Birthday weekend. Happy birthday marm! The plan was to cache the Arthur's Pass route, from Rangiora to Lake Buller. You would think four days was enough to do the 211 kilometers, but we didn't even manage the 130 to Arthur's Pass village before we had to pull the pin Monday lunchtime for the drive back to Blenheim. But on the way we saw some amazing views, strange geology, weird amounts of ice in the puddles, ice on the inside of our windscreen - it was that cold. Caves, wonderful beech forests, rather a lot of bridge barriers and even a cache or few. And there was blisters, sliding down icy grassy hills on our bums (what fun!) and rather a lot of walking. Many thanks to all the cache owners that made this such an amazing trip.
Found on a three day caching journey over to the West Coast. We really enjoyed the challenging hours spent in solving the many puzzle caches and now the signing off on the log books. We had a great spell of weather as we traveled along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
This one is probably a barrier rather than a bridge, but either way I'll take the cache. TFTC
Away again on another 3 day mission with rustynz and Rebel98, This time Lyttleton, Christchurch, Greymouth, Punakaiki, Blenheim, Picton and Kaikoura are in our targets, mainly to collect the Geotour caches and to have a heap of fun!
Rusty is having no trouble mostly finding caches along this HW for us to do, since I am driving, the phone for me is off limits! Rebel is comfortable in the back taking it all in. We pull in here, the road is a really tight curve and it comes out well in a photo! Thanks for bringing us here, we're off to Greymouth and spend the night there.

Onto the trail proper now, it's caching all the way for lots of park n grabs and a couple of modest walks.
It's the last full day of the trip and I intended to make the most of the day and was up with the lark, cockerel more like, and in the car at 0530 ready to get going. I called in for an early brekkie and hit the road early to meet Ricardinho.nz at Springfield. We cached our way back to the West Coast via road barriers and others en route and I set off for home after leaving him in Greymouth after visiting all 8 of the TMGT caches there. Home at 7PM and a decent haul of over 80 caches, including 5 Earthcaches. Awesome scenery and views and a cracker day of weather too. 620KMS for the day travelled and time for a rest!
It's that time of year again when Marlborough residents get a double bubble, two 3-day weekends in a row and a chance to get out there and find some caches. Last weekend I headed over to Golden Bay with ricardinho and we managed a healthy numbers-boosting haul of 82 over 2 days. This weekend I'm planning on finding some already solved Canterbury caches and get me closer to a 5 figure finds number, the big 10,000. At the start of toSaturday this was a 4 day, at the end it was a 120 plus day!!
The Saturday was planned to be a big day and to get over 100 caches in a day if possible and start converting those puzzle pieces into smiley faces. Success was achieved in that we found over 120 each. I personally found my missing Smurfs, Metal Mania, Glossary of Geocaching as well as a number of other solves and collateral Traditionals. The Canterbury weather turned it on and a good day was had with ric.nz driving and me navigating (sort of)
The Sunday was a Geo-art loose ends day. My plan wqas to track down the remaining Smurfs, round up some horses and grab a couple of loose Eclipse mint tins. I also explored the realms of Springfield in preparation for a return across SH73 on Monday.

Last day of the long weekend and a long drive back to Blenheim via Greymouth (yep, that’s right) with the goal of getting a whole heap of ‘bridge the gap’ caches and anything else easily accessible or interesting.
With a lot of kms to travel, there was not room for much more unfortunately.
So a successful trip but the real heroes were the weather and the scenery.
I had forgotten a bit how stunning it can be in and around places like Castle Hill and Arthur’s Pass, and a great spring day with snow-capped mountains for a backdrop made a bit of a self-inflicted slog actually quite enjoyable.
Thanks all COs, and sorry for the cut and paste, but I hope you can understand why. All logs signed Cap/ricnz or variations on the theme.

Had a great day caching from Christchurch to the West Coast, bit of rain here an there but a good day. Many Thanks Bitsprayer
This is where we decided to try the toboggans out on the nearby snowy bank which the kids agreed was a lot of fun. Just before we were about to leave I took a moment to find this cache. Thanks gracie7 + Mum.
Out and about over the Easter weekend grabbing some caches as I head to Christchurch via the west coast. Thank you for placing all these wonderful caches out for me to find. Had fun looking in, under , around and behind to find them. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. Your caches made the trip a lot more interesting with some adventure thrown in. TFTC
On an expedition to the Craigieburn area specifically to get a 43 07 but as many others as possible too. Thanks for your cache. I had to wait for a few muggles to move on. Golly, is it is cold and blustery out there!

Heute: 13.

I came to this one with team_gaters, out for an FTF hunt for some caches up the track from here. No rain, though it was threatening. All in good shape!!

Quick stop and found here. The walking track starting from here would be nice to visit, maybe next time.
My partner who is not a geocacher waits in car loved the pull area, I love the moon in picture in the fresh air geocacheing
This series was the main reason for our trip today and we have now found them all except one where there were too many people in the adjacent carpark to risk looking for it.
Thanks to this and other finds I now need only one more find to get hold of that elusive World Turtle.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum

We are on a mission today trying to get the numbers for the Hidden Creatures Challenge. We were commited to some caches around Cass but also to our habit of caching back. Meaning travel as far as the furthest away cache planned for the day then find the caches on the way home. It meant a round trip of about 400km and meeting our objective in the process Overall the weather was nice to us although thick fog in the morning slowed us down for a while. We finished the BtG series that we started in May 2013 but for one that had to many prying eyes from parked vehicles. The weather conditions were from thick fog, freezing rain to bright sunshine, ink black night sky and in temperatures from below zero to rather pleasant. We awarded a fav for the series to the Master Cache. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
Heading back from Castle Hill rocks with ahg18 and we remembered there was a cache tucked somewhere at this spot. We decided to pull over and give it a go, only to realise we had zero signal. We were armed only with the cache title and our 'caching eyes', but soon I spotted it...bonus cache for our trip in a random and remote spot! TFTC
On our trip from Arthur Pass to Cristchurch we had a lot of stops and discoverd caches like this. TFTC!
We were heading to Christchurch so thought we would go this way. We were really impressed with the amount of safe parking at these caches through here. As we were in a campervan we only stop where we feel safe and where we feel other road users won't get upset with us. Thanks for the BtG series
Today's mission was a drive from Christchurch to Greymouth on my way home to Nelson. Trying to find 'a few' caches along the way. It's been ages since I travelled this route so there were actually heaps of caches to find and at the end of the day my tally was 81. Biggest cache day for me for a while. One of my objectives for the day was to find as many BtG caches as I could. I managed to find quite a few. A few DNFs. A few DNAs due to muggles or distraction. BtG counter = 3. TFTC, Biggles.
Day 2 S.I Sheffield to Greymouth
Drizzling rain most of the way, we stopped where we found it suitable with a car we were not used to.
The scenery along this route was amazing, great views from every angle. I think how more amazing it would be on a clear day.
It's so lovely & green & not having to worry about snakes sure is a big plus.
Thanks for placing this cache gracie7 + Mum
