Day 2 of our trip and this one was another quick find by us before adding our names and then replacing as found and then moving on to the next on the shortlist. This was a mainland trip from Tassie to do a couple of things, we wanted to grab a few LGAs and also the big item was to finish of the DT grid of 1Toolman.We landed late on Wednesday night and after a good night at the Melbourne Novotel Toolman picked up and drove us North for four days of caching before he brought us back on Sunday night, we had a great time with lots of caching and lots of laughs.Found on 25/10/2024 at 18:58:00 thanks to The Farmers 5 for placing this cache for me to find. The best caches I have found so far are:-Sentimental [Moorgreen P3:1, Penny Pincher](http://coord.info/GC32Z5B) By [Sven&Cup](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=6596795)Traditional [Hanging Around in Toorak](http://coord.info/GC62KAP) By [bobthebuilder_123](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=586681)Multi [Gawler Fort Knox](https://coord.info/GC5T0W1) By [**JEM**](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=11449141)Unknown [Men In Black Holes](http://coord.info/GC1DVB0) By [SG-3](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=918045) Letterbox [Rolf's Letterbox](http://coord.info/GC5NCYM) By [membsec](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=5318842)Earthcache [Totem Pole](https://coord.info/GC862H8) By [The Hancock Clan](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=263428)Visit the [Geocaching Tasmania Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/318455407771/)Member of the [Tas_Community](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=25086739) maintenance group.
Out and about smashing LGAS FOR SSRAT while Him and GOOSE are in Australia,450 years for a dinosaur POO ??Quick find in amongst a 600km day.TFTC
We thought we'd found the cache closer tot he sideroad but that was a false alarm. 1toolman found it so after while we read the plaque. Thanks The Farmers 5Our four day boys trip was an 1800km dash from Melbourne Airport into southern parts of NSW, caching in 19 different LGAs. After an overnight near Melbourne airport, the toolman picked us up and we were off. Overnight stops were in Deniliquin, Ariah Park and Albury with a small selection of caches in each LGA unless there some more exciting ones to make us hang around a bit longer. The toolman finally filled his D/T grid. Lots of laughs, lots of insults, a good number of caches, but not enough sleep! Thanks to all the COs that made the trip a fun adventure. Our middle geokid and I are heading away for a few nights camping. Tonight, we plan to camp at Lake Cargelligo before heading up to Lightning Ridge and then meeting up with the Father in Law at Carinda. A warm day on the road, but after all the rain yesterday, lots of wildlife was spotted. Turtles (we saved one from the middle of the road) snakes and lots of different types of lizards. A cool spot we would have otherwise driven straight past. Geokid asked, who updates the sign every million years? love the way kids think! TFTC!
Found it, thanks for hiding. I probably would have never seen or even heard about the fossil workout this cache
A little bit of looking, but obvious once spotted. Interesting stop for something weve driven past 100s of time with out knowing its there!
Took a few minutes but I ignored my gps and headed for a suspicious location, soon had my name on the log. I wouldnt like to be doing this in the middle of summer TFTC
#4433 Sixth of seven finds on a freezing day travelling from Leeton back to Sydney. Found after a short search. TFTC
Thanks to the POI in the geo-guidebook, we stopped by this interesting location today... Unfortunately the long grass in the height of summer alongside the previous log scared me off getting closer to GZ today. Glad to have seen it though!
Nice quick find here. We certainly would have missed that feature if it weren't for the geocache. Tftc
On the way home from 2 weeks away at Cliffhanger 4wd Event and the clutch on the truck gave up the ghost, si what do you do when you are broken down 1000km from home? Get a hire car and go do some cachesNice easy find and something a little different tftc
Day six of setting off north with BettyBoo3747 and geodoggies.
The weather in Beechworth has been far too damp and cold for caching!
Today we started in Barellen and drove to Temora.
Another lovely blue sky and sunny day.
This object seems to be a bit older than 40 million years, it is sign posted as 450 million years!
An interesting stop of an object I would have not noticed as I drove past.
BB replaced the missing log sheet.
Thanks, Robmc.

#21199. Day 6 of our escape into NSW. The weather has become so nice we are going to extend the trip by an extra day. Today was just a gentle touring day from Barellan to Temora gathering up some finds along the way. We did have the customary DNF though.
450 million years old is just way beyond my comprehension but pleased to stop and view this rock/fossil. Found the cache (SA throwdown tube) with a sticker from Gatman 90 in it so removed that and left a new log sheet. All good now although I suspect at some stage the cache has actually moved to a new position as the GPS was pointing closer to the corner.
Thanks The Farmers 5

#16776 - 3:56:00 PM; After a couple of nights in Mildura on the way home from South Australia after collecting the geomobile with Sol de lune, today we head for home. Collected a few caches along the way, adding a county or two as we went. A damp log here and there was no surprise, gven recent weather events, which also see the Sturt Highway closed at Gillenbah. Luckily we had planned to detour via Griffith and Leeton, so the road closure didn't present a problem. The mozzies though were a different proposition and made things a bit unpleasant at times! All caches found in good order, unless otherwise indicated, and replaced as found after we added our names to the log. This one took a little time to spot, but the mozzies had their fill while we looked! TFTC The Farmers 5
Heading home after picking up a car in Adelaide with LuckyL10n and took a detour through Griffith and Leeton to cross off another county or two, before the final section into Canberra.
Took a few minutes to find this one, but eventually all was good and our initials were in the log book.

Lockdowns, lock outs etc had stopped as from getting to Millicent a few times and also On Ya Bike Series. Finally things fell into place and B@W, Crash, PPE and Tardis 0061 (later to sing as BCPT for our initials or Big Cycling Power Trail amongst other things)were on a week long road trip into SA. Various select caches and locations were targeted on the way over and back for LGA's and other stats.

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth. Day 1 of our trip took us through many regions of NSW where we picked up some caches on our way through, and this was one of them. Apologies for the generic log, but thank you to all the cache owners for the placements.
A short stop here on our way past, the cache was easily found in the obvious place and is all good

Found on a week-long caching trip over to NSW and Victoria from Adelaide with gridge98.
Our main targets were the wherigo and challenge cache series’ around the Yass and Goulburn areas, although we also found quite a few other Unknown, multi, letterbox, virtual and traditional caches of interest along the way. We even managed to attend an event at Sutton and did a couple of caches just over the border in the ACT.
The middle of winter around the shortest day was probably not the best time to schedule our trip, particularly as we were camping. But despite a little bit of rain one night and sub-zero temperatures on another, the weather wasn’t too bad, albeit on the cloudy and cool side.
In all we covered about 3,300 km over the week and managed almost 350 finds each.
Thanks The Farmers 5 for the cache.

Day Three: Yass to Griffith.
I stopped here hoping for a second find in Coolamon, but I see we’ve crossed the border. But what an unexpected cache! I’d love to know more of the story as to how this specimen was found, how it was recognized for what it was, and the story behind the creation of the display. Thank goodness for geocaching to make us stop at such things, thank you Farmers5.

This is one of the caches we targeted and found thankyou farmers5 for giving us the opportunity to explore. We are now heading home to Queensland after attending the Wangaratta event . Put a new container and log scroll as existing container was missing the lid and contents saturated.

Day 7 of our NSW Road Trip and today we are caching from in a loop out to Griffith from Wagga via Narrandera and Darlington Point then back to Wagga via Ardlethan and Coolamon trying to collect a few LGAs. This is a part of NSW that I've not been to before.

A nice stop on our journey across the country from Adelaide to Brisbane with Davidwazza! TFTC!
Moving from Adelaide to Brisbane, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to drive the long distance to make the opportunity a holiday, taking 12 days and passing through Victoria, New South Wales, and then finally arriving in Queensland. We spent the first few days in SA's Riverland, visiting Morgan, Berri and Renmark; and then drove through Mildura in Victoria. In NSW, we stopped at Hay, Parkes, Merriwa, Tamworth, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, and then entered Qld to stop for a night in Robina in the Gold Coast.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled from Hay to Parkes. We travelled east via Griffith, Yenda, Barellan, Ardlethan, and Temora where we stopped for lunch. We then spent the early afternoon completing the two Adventure Labs around the town and lake, and then headed north and north-east via Barmedman, Forbes, and arriving in Parkes in the late evening. Several of NSW's LGAs were visited during our travels today.
An interesting sight, and I'm glad we stopped here to find this little local secret. We managed to find this cache reasonably quickly, although the sistema container was small sized, not micro. The cache container lid is starting to become brittle and crack, but the logbook was in good shape. Thanks The Farmers 5 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Got to love caching trips! On the way to South Australia with a few friends to pick up some nice caches. With a small team consisting of KittyKatch, Joolay & Barb2e along with Tankengine and I we had a great second day of the trip. So many interesting places and some great caching too.
This cache: Sometimes you just ask yourself - why?! Well we asked and we saw and we thought - wwwhhhaaattt???? OK! The cache was a little off from the coords, but still able to find without a major issue, but I did touch the stinging nettles that Joolay told me NOT to touch, luckily it was only microscopic and Joolay had a special ointment that did the trick. Interesting spot and I have no idea how you found it, but thanks for bringing us here and of course Tftc The Farmers 5!!!

I was visiting a recently set up banding site at Ungarie for the weekend, and fortunately had Friday off so decided to take a very circuitous route and camp near Rankins Springs to pick up a few caches. The aim was to get 5 cache types in 8 LGAs to beat my record for the latter, and to add some numbers to my total. In the end I got 38 caches with 2 DNFs (only one logged), 7 local government areas (still beat my best) and 2 bonus FTF as well (1 of the DNFs would have been a 3rd - and could have got 2 mores if I had decided to go for a walk). So was pretty happy with that and I would like to thank all the COs for their placement and maintenance.
This rock has been here a long time (or at least on display at least 30 years) as I used to pass it and see the sign when traveling east from Griffith in the early 1990s. However this is the first time I had actually stopped to have a look. Cache was quickly found and signed, and while I did so the first flock of White-browed Woodswallows for me for the season drifted over. This rock dates from the Ordivician (yes call me a pedant) and so predates the Dinosaurs - maybe a better name would be Trilobite Age!

A quick find as we head for a few nights in Griffith. Thanks for showing us this as it was something easily driven past.
Took a minute or two:::but when you see the obvious along the fence line, we’ll...
This is certainly an interesting private statement out an aspect of pre-history. When we didn't find the cache at the published coordinates, we gradually widened our search area and quickly located the cache in a common style of hide, about 8m west of the published coordinates. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks The Farmers 5 for the cache.
