Damn! Missed it by one day. Just my luck. If anyone is still around and wants to catch up I'm here until Friday morning.
Thanks to everyone who attended my first event.
It was great to catch up with some old friends and to meet some of the local cachers.
National Steel produced some interesting cache containers and a selection of photos of caches he had found. Both Wilbert67 and Rock-hopper made great contributions and my caches seemed to go down well.
Thankfully, even the weather came good following the rain of the last few days and the cold overcast morning.

Great event in a new location. Good to see some new people organising event, well done Tony! Had a lot of stories and tips to share. Also learned a bit about creating crafty caches, wich is still not going to be easy with two left hands!
Also good to catch up with some familiar and some new faces.

When I left home this morning the weather could have gone either way, but the further south I drove and the more caches I found along the way, the day just got better & better. By the time I arrived it was full on sunshine (Thanks Tony !).
Thoroughly enjoyable day chatting about all things caching, meeting new people & getting new ideas. Thanks to those who were prepared and brought along some ideas to share. SL TFTEvent Gill & Tony !

A very big thanks to Gill and Tony for organising today. Was good for us newby's to put a few more faces to names. Knocked over a few more caches (as well as Funland and the ice creamery) in the afternoon and had a great afternoon. TFTE.
Came down for this one after a morning of skating and was pleasantly surprised both by the weather and the turnout. Swapped a few war stories and tips and tricks with people. Nice to catch up with some geocaching friends and make some new ones. Then a delicious fish'n'chips (and prawns!) lunch and it was time to head for home. I took the little postage stamp TB to keep it moving. Congrats on your first event being such a success!
Thanks for a great day Tony.
Sneaky containers, tricks and tips !!!
I just realised we were all suppose to bring a cache idea. This was my first so I will do that next time.
After the event I joined other caching friends to found a few of the local treasures. Thanks for creating the opportunities to finds caches and new friends.

Thanks for a great event Gill & Tony - it was great to meet new caching friends and catch up with old ones, and get some terrifically sneaky ideas for new caches .
I also caught up with some old (90 yr old) friends at Kings Point on the way down, had a fantastic seafood lunch after chatting all things caching at the event, and then cached my way back - barefoot bowls at Culburra was next on the agenda, followed by a night at the theatre. What a brilliant day!

I don't have any particularly impressive tricks but I can show a few things I've learned along the way for my hides. It'd be great to see some of the more prolific and clever hiders sharing their ideas!
I've put my thinking cap on and will bring at least 4 cache project ideas, in various stages of completion.
At least one will be hidden in plain sight.
