This was next and so I headed to find it.
I just managed to sign the log when along came a muggle.
There seemed to be a few of the canoeing variety and I actually saw a wind sail today as well.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Speedmistress Cool All good with this archived cache

Due to the unpredictability of the dam's opening and closing I am closing down all of my caches in this area. Thank you to those who have enjoyed the caches in the past.

I have not been caching in a serious sense since early May. Back in the saddle yesterday and it was after 1600 when I arrived in Toowoomba so drove home via a few on the New England Highway.

Back today and started with the Cooby Dam lot that are available. The are still roadworks on Gate to the Dam Wall is still closed. Quick find on this one at 0859. Number seven out of the way. Picked up this one as I was driving between the two parking lots. Quick Find. Still have not removed my jacket as it is still chilly. All good with this one. TFTC

All set for a super long week-end in Toowoomba from Friday until Tuesday. Big Grin
I am in town to find all of the new caches in the area since I left town year ago. Smile
Today's adventure started out here at the dam. I have been to this side of the dam before for my Aunty's 80th B'day. Big Grin
Continuing the walk around all of these caches. The walk from Mick did not involve a track but a short bush bash cause I went the wrong way. Razz
Thanks for the cache.

Enjoying a long weekend we decided to head out to Cooby Dam for the afternoon and finish the caches off. This was the fifth find for today and there was a few likely spots but the GPS took us straight to the cache. TFTC Speedmistress

Today was a great day for this lot of caches.. Drizzly rain kept most muggles away, except for the odd fisherman.. And I think I spotted a few other cachers.

Another easy one. Tyftc

12 Km from home.
With a week off I had planned a Wednesday Wander around the edge of “The Range” looking for Air Cache Investigation. However, with the weather turning to custard and still sporting permanent scars from the last time I attacked The Range in the wet; I have opted for a Cooby Cache Cruise instead.
Leaving the Geomobooble behind, this was an easy “Walk by”, an easy find but then it got hard. I’m sure there is some quantum mechanical rule that says an item cannot fit in a vessel smaller than itself but this cache is the exception… Not hard, just time consuming and those with smaller fingers may not even notice what caused me so much angst.

The co-ords were good, the hide, the log and the container are all in good nick.
Thanks for the cache Speedmistress.

*FTF*

With our team having split up for this weekend with the fairer half in Townsville for a Wedding I had nothing better to do than mow the lawn on a fantastic sunny Sunday morning. Just before I did I thought that I might check for any new Cache notifications. To my surprise and delight I spotted 12 (later to find out that actually 14 had been published, but I raced out the door to quickly to find this out) new Caches by Speedmistress under 10 km from home. What was I to do? the lawn can always wait!!!

After the short drive I arrived at Cooby Dam to begin my hunt to be the first, the morning started quite nicely but by noon was getting hot.

This was my first Cache for the morning, it was a short walk from the car park at Love day Cove. It is always great to see a blank log sheet.

Cheers
