Due to the unpredictability of the dam's opening and closing I am closing down all of my caches in this area. Thank you to those who have enjoyed the caches in the past.
Hi there Speedmistress. We found your cache "The Honourable" at 12:18:00 PM today.
This was our 16th cache find in a caching run of 24 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9501.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached. With this cache the total now stands at 225 Days.
We guess that today's advances in technology have made this sort of ground station superfluous.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I have not been caching in a serious sense since early May. Back in the saddle yesterday and it was after 1600 when I arrived in Toowoomba so drove home via a few on the New England Highway.
Back today and started with the Cooby Dam lot that are available. The are still roadworks on Gate to the Dam Wall is still closed. Quick find on this one at 0815. Number three out of the way. I can remember coming out here when I was young to see the Dish. Now down to Love Day Cove for the remainder of the 10. TFTC

Today we did a full day of caching in Toowoomba region. From the town region & out to Cooby Dam.
All the caches we found were in good condition & some wonderfull & scenic locations.
Thanks for placing this cache Speedmistress

All set for a super long week-end in Toowoomba from Friday until Tuesday.
I am in town to find all of the new caches in the area since I left town year ago.
Today's adventure started out here at the dam. I have been to this side of the dam before for my Aunty's 80th B'day.
A quick park and grab.
Thanks for the cache.

Enjoying a long weekend we decided to head out to Cooby Dam for the afternoon and finish the caches off. This being the first on the list we pulled up close to GZ and were lucky enough to make a quick find. TFTC Speedmistress

Today was a great day for this lot of caches.. Drizzly rain kept most muggles away, except for the odd fisherman.. And I think I spotted a few other cachers.
Love the container.. When I first started caching, these containers were my first thought for when I get around to placing my own caches.. Tyftc, very interesting..

11.1 Km from home.
With a week off I had planned a Wednesday Wander around the edge of “The Range” looking for Air Cache Investigation. However, with the weather turning to custard and still sporting permanent scars from the last time I attacked The Range in the wet; I have opted for a Cooby Cache Cruise instead.
Arriving at the co-ords on the car Nuvi after fighting my way through idiots that think 20K over the limit is fine when the fog has visibility down to <50m. I got out of the car and grabbed the phone from the pocket, while it was finding satellites I was finding the cache. Almost too easy...
Old Mr Swartz must have been a busy boy in his day, the Army Aviation Centre at Oakey has been named Swart Barracks in his honour a couple of years ago.
The co-ords were good, the hide, the log and the container are all in good nick.
Thanks for the cache Speedmistress.

{FTF}
I noticed that this Cache was published last night and after a big day of FTF hunting yesterday I decided not to venture out. Upon checking the Geocaching.com web site before lunch today I saw that the FTF was still up for grabs.
So my lunch time today involved another trip out to Cooby Dam to search for another Cache. I was greeted to a blank log sheet so the drive was well wort the effort and the other two un-found Caches will have to wait until I have more time.
Thanks for the Cache Speedmistress.
