Found it but unfortunately it was on the ground destroyed next to were looks like a fire has been. The trackable bug gone and log book scattered all around. Very upsetting.
I came down to the Frankston to attend [Brain's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=6c2e60fc-f661-4aa3-9ff4-fdb2b13ee72c&wid=3598e538-cc28-47c8-a307-dd71b49d0a3b&ds=2) [Reservoir Rendezvous (GCAGJCC)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCAGJCC?luid=4696b23b-7ae8-4aa7-a4c3-a1949ad0283d) event, however after catching up with my fellow cachers I split off to find another couple of other caches. I have been trying to keep an eye out for D2.0/T2.0 caches as I am slowing working on trying to qualify for [Dromaniax's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=d0b21b2e-6d61-423e-839d-4cc4f7fe7ab1&wid=f64bc8da-f1c9-4c56-b78b-fc2b2ce2874e&ds=2) [Richie Benaud 2/2 D/T All-Rounder Challenge Cache (GC9QG0K)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9QG0K) and so when I saw this one I knew I had to stop and try to find it. I listened to the cache page and ended up parking the geomoble along side Yarringa road and then continued along the trail on foot. Just as the cache page said, the track was quite overgrown in places. I can see why it was recommended to do via horse back, however I was able to navigate to GZ on foot today. With the weather being near perfect today and the sun shinning it made for the most enjoyable walk over to GZ, even with all the overgrowth. Once I arrived at GZ my phone homed into a spot between two groups of trees. With the cache having the "tree climbing" attribute, I immediately started looking up and checked one group of trees before checking the other. However, no luck. I ended up going back and forth a few times before I eventually spotted the cache.*mmhmm.. not what I was expecting*However, happy to find the cache none the less.A big thanks goes to [Jakkarses](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=f47e0502-9cdf-4459-8686-ec67d1f7fa77&wid=cd6ae917-deda-432b-a25e-f640c012a376&ds=2) for the fun today. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape, all of the inner contents were nice and dry, and the logbook was clean with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
At GZ I found myself walking around in circles, looking for something matching the hint. After a few minutes, I found the cache about 3m from where my GPS was pointing. The trail into this hide was overgrown, but that made it more interesting to find! Thanks for adding this one here!
Thanks for the adventure parked Yaringa road at the entrance konds and i set off with lunch and water taking all rubbish home. We walked thru the horse tracks one point slightly confused but found and left a travel bug we were finding the perfect cache for to continue the journey his been on. This has amazing sights of the bay and made a friend along the way.
Needed a tree climb for a challenge that has been placed, and this cache fit the brief!?
I made my way from the nearby stumpy along the narrow horse track but had no joy at the GZ, until my PAF set me straight.
Not entirely sure about the tree climb attribute, but thanks heaps for the placement and for bringing me down today.

Being a local on the Mornington Peninsula for many years. I have never been to this lovely little area and I’m glad we did. Thank you for placing this cache.
Set out today to walk some circuits and a few others on the way, this being one of them.
Thanks for the cache Jakkarses - had a lovely walk
Regards

Tackling the hard trail to GZ we met again the council worker we had seen previously who warns us about a snake he has just seen. Pfft we both say..as we brazenly search and find the cache.
Out and about with Tiz13 today to clean up a few caches, it's getting harder to find unfound caches near home so this was the chosen destination for the day, My only mission is turning caches in to smiles and cleaning the map up of any unfound.
This is one of the cache found today. Had a nice chat to the young guy spraying weeds close by, he warned us that he had just seen a snake, no problem for us Aussies but he was from England and was a little scared of them.
Thanks Jakkarses For the cache.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Jakkarses for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Nice walk. Tried first from Whitney's Rd but due to recent rain the track became to swampy, bring gumboots if it's been wet. Tried again from the end of Yaringa Rd and followed the horse trail. This time success! Nice views. TFTC.
Clippty Cloppty...neighhhhh. Off ona night time adventure, we wound through the paths and wandered high and low. We quickly came across the cache, found quickly and in great condition. TFTC.
This deserves a favourite point as I loved the walk to get here except for the many spider webs that I walked face first into! What a view!
I actually sat in one of the seats in the camp near by to take stock and read the previous logs for cache #2 Enter and #3 Cavity as I didn’t find these on my first attempt and I was not going to be defeated!
Cache easily found.
I left GZ more determined than ever.

Came here with a Geokids because I thought that they would enjoy the walk the scenery and the exercise. Geoboy found this one very quickly. Geogirl took the photo.
Out and about with geoson exploring another area of the Penninsula. Having done the series nearby and the weather being excellent we decided to do the walk. We came across of choices but luckily we picked the right one. Some parts we a little overgrown but nothing to put us off. Got to the top to come across some horse riders. Letting them go as we enjoyed the view. Searched for while and geoson came across a very large lizard hiding. Ha Ha he thought I have this type before but then it reared up, we think its must have some eggs to protect. We move on and finally made the find. Co ords excellent, we were just looking at the wrong one. We loved the walk. Thanks for bringing us here lakkarses hollybann
What a beautiful little spot to lookout over Westernport Bay.
Met a very protective blue tongue lizard
Cache is in great condition right on the correct coordinates.
Thanks for bringing us here.

What a trek! Bit such a lovely spot in the end! We saw a Bunjil in the sky directly overhead. The flowers are starting to bloom. Found the cache, everything intact, lots of swaps. Tyftc!
My grandchildren and I went for a walk along the trail when my granddaughter reminded me of geocache. So we went hunting and had a great time finding it. Thanks Sue, Maddi and Heath
Well that was an epic adventure for a DNF!
Decided to try this cache from the south west. It looked easier from the satellite . Well, not really! The “horse track” is very overgrown and bear impossible to find in places. Definitely hasn’t been maintained in a very, very long time.
Eventually, after some bush bashing, I managed to find the GZ. Found something old, but not the cache itself. After searching for 20 minutes and my phone dying, I decided to give up and head back.
Although I failed this time. Had a fun time and the views of French Island are great. Will be back another time (from the other direction) to try again.

Trekked out to this cache with abthings this afternoon. It was a cloudy-sunny afternoon, the track was very overgrown, and on the way we had fun using a plant identification app. I'm growing a number of the indigenous bush foods at home, and it was awesome to see them here. The view at GZ was great and I loved coming out here. There were many many hiding options, but one of the past logs gave us a great clue and the cache was revealed pretty much where the coords said it should be (after we went in circles for a bit). So that was good! FP from me for the adventure. TFTC.
Caching in the area and found your cache along the way.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I had been trying to get to this one for a while now but I was never in the right place at the right time but today after finishing the TRF series, I had an easy stroll to this one.
I made it to the GZ area and started looking around and eventually finding it a spot that wasn't my first choice.
It had also been just over 13 months since this one was last found.
**Thanks to Jakkarses, hollybann for placing this cache.**

Every day before the Melbourne Cup public holiday, work completely closes, so that gives me a paid long weekend. The plan with this day off was to hit the Mornington Peninsula.
This cache was one of the targetted caches I had picked out for today. Almost a year of unlove on this nice easily found cache. After the snake encounter earlier in the day, the walk was a bit slower and more careful than my usual pace
Bit surprised that it hasn't been found in so long as it was a lovely walk along well a formed but sandy path. The way I went did have me walking thru chest high ferns, but the trail was always obvious except for 1 small part where I took the wrong path and had to push thru some thick tee trees.
Thanks for the cache Jakkarses and Holly Bann

I made my first attempt on this cache a couple of months ago, but, in failing light and tortured by mozzies, I didn't succeed. I passed through today and decided to give it another crack.
It was a pleasantly warm day with dappled sunlight and gentle breezes so the going and the finding were much more pleasant. Why I couldn't find it the first time I don't know!..

Came over to Hastings for a walk and cache. Really lovely walk to the cache through the gorgeous bushland. Took a bit to find the cache but got there in the end. Many thanks for bringing me here will definitely come back

Apologies for the late log. After a couple of finds nearby I headed on to this one as part of my regular pre-work caching down the peninsula. It was just starting to get light and a very pleasant time to be strolling towards GZ in this interesting area. I parked at the recommended spot and proceeded on foot. There was a section when I was making my way along a track with lots of knee level plants wet form overnight rain and of course it didn’t take me long to get wet through in the lower leg area. Once I got to GZ I searched a few spots to no avail before stopping to read a few logs. After that I zeroed in and soon had the cache in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Jakkarses and Hollybann.

After thinking to myself whether or not I should go out and try to do another streak and just get it over and done with I decided to give it another crack. Today is day three humble beginnings, after deciding this one I thought to go and do a nearby one so I can get back home and work on my assignments. After parking nearby I realised that the road on the map that I was going to drive down apparently is less existent than I would like it to be. Anyways that did not stop me, with over a kilometre of walking through small tracks I finally made it to an opening to which was GZ. After a quick look I thought to myself what are the chances that there is a little tiger snake around here. Very hesitant on reaching in things I could not see I decided to phone a friend to see if my ideas were correct, after confirming I was brave enough to go for it and soon the cache was in hand. I would like to thank you for the cache and the little scramble through this lovely reserve.

Found my self free from the family this evening so me and the Geo dog headed to Hastings to hunt for treasure. Hoping for double figures tonight. Fingers crossed! TFTC saw Beautiful tame echidna here
Geoturtle37 decided to sit this one out so I set off into the wilderness alone. It is a very pleasant walk to gz, with some pretty good sea views along the way. Once at gz I think I spent more time searching than I did walking in, but I wasn't going to let it beat me and I eventually made the find. I had been very close several times before I finally spotted my elusive target. The long grass didn't help either. (Well that's my excuse anyway LOL) Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
YES!!! We finally got this one off our 'to find' list and on our 'found' one instead. It took a few minutes search time, but with our trusty torch and strength, we were able to UNCOVER the cache. In the end the cache was signed and replaced on a nice, cool, crisp Father's Day afternoon. TFTC, Brainiac03

Not feeling too good today so rather than sharing my germs decided on a long weekend. Rugged up after dropping the kids off & took the dogs for a walk. Lovely spot for a walk or horse ride ( if that's your thing). Nice hide had me walking in circles. TNLNSL

No horse available so used Shank's pony to cover the 1100m from Whitney's Road to GZ
Searched for some time before finally coming up with the goods. Cache found in good condition. Signed the log and returned as found. Many thanx to Jakkarses

Found on a cold and rainy Sunday. Nice walk and nice to explore somewhere new.
We were going to have a crack at this one but found a sign at the front gates saying that the trail was closed between 16/5/2016 - 3/6/2016. Maybe the cache should be temporarily disabled between this period.

I hadn't brought a horse with me but I initially entered via Yarringa Road, as recommended, to see about setting out on foot. But after recent rain, it seemed the sea was keen to reclaim most of the land in the area, including the track. I certainly wasn't in the mood for hiking a kilometer through salty water, so had a look at the Whitney's Road option. No such problems were evident there and a pleasant Almost Significant Hike was had. At GZ, I didn't find the cache immediately, but coords seemed to be pretty much on the mark, so I got there eventually. Thanks Jakkarses & hollybann!
I've been eying off this cache for a while, ever since I saw in the description 'it can be done on foot but cannot be done on a bike ( unless you want to prove us wrong)'.
So in this nice autumn day, I packed the bike and readied myself for an adventure.
Like cachers in previous logs, the first mistake I did was try to continue on at the end of the access road.
After mounting the bike on my shoulder and pushing through impossible terrain, I thought to myself 'I don't think Bear Grylls could navigate this terrain, let alone a horse or normal human'. So after fighting my way back to the main road, I crossed a field and met the nice horse riding track described.
After thinking I was being Navved I took to searching some old items down the hill, quite enjoyable but no cache.
Upon returning back to where the Nav was guiding me I took a step back and looked at the scenery and then 'bingo!'.
I then reached into my pocket to sign the log and discovered in all my excitement I had forgotten a pen! ( rookie mistake) I was then glad that I had my bike. So after a quick pedal back to the car (trying to beat the land speed record), I grabbed my pen, returned to the GZ and took a photo nearby.
A favourite for me, if only for the experience this cache took me on. Tftc. P.s left my pen for future adventurers.

Unfortunately a DNF for today. We looked in every single spot! On a scale from horse poo to Melbourne Cup winner our performance rate was around the first option. We'll have to come back another time. On the upside the mini views and horse trail were magnificent.
Missed a few logs from a couple of weeks ago, have to catch up!!

After a long walk with the geodog and kids we went along the track and came to a dead end, so we walked back to where we saw a gate (which im not sure if it private property or not) but we still ventured in across and soon found GZ. Im sure we probably went the wrong way. Found after a few minutes. TFTC
Out with Nut bear today and this was our last for today. Absolutely beautiful walk into this one. This one took about 10 minutes to find as it was very well hidden. Eventually put the GPS on the ground to let it settle and then it led us straight to it.

Great walk into this one and a lovely area for a cache. We went in circles for a while with not much luck until the GPS settled and then it was an easy find. The grass has done a good job of making sure it is well hidden.

Headed out early with my caching mate SedgwickDave. It was going to be a hot one, so we decided to head towards the peninsula to find some random caches.
This was the first one of the day and after another DNF at EEEK, we had high hopes for this one. Dave parked the car at the closest entry point and we walked in from there. Once at GZ, it took us a bit of time, but eventually the well hidden cache was found.
Left a trackable to continue on its adventure.

An awesome numbers run today with Ahomburg. The plan today was to find only 13 for me so to setup the milestone cache assault.
Took a couple of mins to locate the cache. A sung fit once it was finally spotted and it was free at last. Nice spot and I really enjoyed the walk into GZ today.

don't think to many horses come down this way anymore. I did enjoy the walk and thankyou for bringing me to a place I didn't know about. Tftc
Thanks for the cache. As I live local I know this area well and enjoyed getting out in the bush with my wife. Filled in the log, did a swap and cache safely tucked away. Don't take your dogs in the park until after the 26th May as they have laid fox bait throughout the. Park.
I was having lunch at my Mum's place with my sister as well and they had to go for their walk after a big lunch so I suggested going for a walk to a cache. So off we went...me and 2 muggles on their first caching adventure.
I had a quick look on the map and going all the way down Whitneys Road looked like a good option so off we went trying not to scrape the car spoilers on anything down the fire trail. It got a bit dodgy in a car scratching sort of way so we parked on the grass and did some swamp and bush bashing to try and find the horse trail, which we did eventually.
We wandered along and saw some people quite near the GZ on their own private land so we head to sneak around and luckily found the cache nice and quickly, signed the log and went on our way.
I was so engrossed in trying to not be seen by the muggles that I totally forgot to drop off the horse trackable I have had for a while in this lovely sized cache which would have been so appropriate for a horse on the horse trail. Oh well.
Gladly we found a slightly easier way back than on the way in but we really made this one live up to it's terrain rating. The muggles loved the adventure as well...maybe they're hooked!

This one came out right after I started work this morning so I didn't think I had any chance of a FTF but when it was still unlogged when I got home I thought it was worth a shot. A friend turned up and decided to come with me but when we got to park the car and realized that we didn't have enough time before we had to drop kids off in Hastings so home we went to collect them and deliver them. Headed straight back and there was still no log so off we headed to the GZ. After a long trek and many spider webs across the path we finally arrived at GZ. A quick find in the first place I looked and opened the logbook and found the FTF was already gone. Oh well, it was a nice walk and lots of talking along the way. TFTC

I was in Bittern when I got the alerts for some newly published caches. A quick look at where they were and saw that this one was only ten minutes away. Unfortunately I was going to be busy for the next few hours so I didn't get a chance to go and have a look for the cache until after midday.
Once I'd finished with the matters at hand I made my way to a car park reasonably close to GZ. There were many spider webs to negotiate along the way, and the track was very sandy and overgrown in many parts but as I got closer the track became much easier to walk along. Having lived in the area for a long time now, I'd been to Yaringa many times but never knew this track existed. The views out across the bay to French Island were great but I didn't notice any boats out today.
I arrived at GZ and started to search for the cache. My GPS sent me in a few circles and I checked a few likely hiding spots until I soon had the cache in hand. Opening the logbook I found it to still be unsigned so happily signed my name in the FTF spot. I took the Geocoin and then rehid the cache for the next finder. I had to race back to the car and now head off to work.
Thanks Jakkarses for the cache and for bringing me out along the track.
