Teamed up with ivss_xx for a few days' caching. We were planning to find as many as possible and have fun, and achieved both goals! Some in this series seemed to have been somewhat deeper in the vegetation and a bit harder to find - or maybe we were just getting a bit tired after after so much fishing today! TFTC!!
18:17 FITW HinemoanaVery old container, needs changing.Sweep - what a strange name for a fish. After having a whole crab and a big piece of fish, I was quite full, but Hinemoana was still like a fish in the water. Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, Fishy Tales!#10659

Out on a great winters day finishing off the Geo Art series. Thanks Fishy Tales for the hides
Last day of my epic birthday weekend of caching. After packing up all my gear I headed off out on the geoart trail.
Today the plan was to try and do all of the fish. that didn’t happen as time really wasn’t on my side. With age the caches have become very well hidden by the end of the day my arms looked like I’d had a fight with an angry cat . Decided not to do the off shoot of the fish and to pick up some of the newer fishing line instead. Way more enjoyable!
By days end another 175 caches found and I think this will end up being my best month for caching in my 9 caching years. No where near the 1000 I’d originally hoped for COVID to thank again for that .
Still got around 170 to find just in the fishing series.
Lots of manky caches replaced and a couple of dnfs that I replaced. All caches that last hunters had reported for maintenance were replaced.
On the Highway section I managed to recoup at least $2 in cans towards petrol. I still cannot comprehend what possesses anyone to chuck a can or bottle out of their car window. Madness.

We have decided to leave the Gone Fishing series for a future visit & have a crack at some more Geoart. TFTC Fishy Tales
And another day at it as our SA adventure continues, happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
We went out to do some more fishing and fill in a chunk of geo art, along with ilook4geo. This completes the series for now and we have had lots of fun finding so many different sea creatures. Many thanks go Fishy Tales for placing all these caches and for creating interesting geo art on the caching map.
It was time to go on our last fishing trip for a while with goingplaces2. We caught a whole lot more fish of various kinds and were happy with the result. All containers were replaced as found before we moved on. TFTC.
Found while out caching with Little Blue Wren.A great trail that gives you a look at the back roads of the Peninsula,Great geoart,TFTC
Day 2 of our stay on the Yorke Peninsula, staying at Port Turton Caravan Park.

Was over in Edithburg to help celebrate gadanga's birthday and finally managed to make a start on the geoart nearby. Completed the FT shark and Sally Starfish, then got started on the Jellyfish, will be back to finish off the rest sometime. On the way home managed to get a few more of the fishing line.
Now where's the nearest tackle bucket on the way back to the big smoke. These tackle buckets helped greatly whenever maintenance was required. Many thanks for making them available.
Thanks Fishy Tales for the cache and the series

Day 1 of our holidays had us up early and ready for a geocache or two while we explored the Yorke Peninsula. Starting in Edithburgh and ending our day in Marion Bay. A total of 38 caches found today.TFTC
Log was damp, we replaced it.

Day 198 (Saturday 14th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Worooka today. A total of 21 for the day and 4041 for the trip. TFTC
All logs today were stamped as " Mystery Randoms ". The team was sir_spectre, mogni, allister w, Aussie M & M, JJ52 and Gizmo Gang. We did the whole geo art in the one day finishing the last 11 under torch light.
This was mogni's last calendar day to fill with 10 in every day. Since it was the 29 th of feb she wanted at least 100 cache finds for the day. We worked out that the geo art was a good choice. She wanted to do 100 caches and maybe some more. I thought all 588 caches was a better idea ( all the geo art ). I recruited some people. I talked to the fishy tales group and got permission to pick up all the caches and replace them. They gave me 300 new caches and enough new logs for the whole trail. Also strict instructions to pick up all the mint tins on the trail so freddo could recycle them. We found 61 of which 49 could be recycled. We ended up using all the given containers plus more and CITOed 4 milk crates worth of old/broken/brittle containers. Over 600 cache finds for the day. With 3 weeks to the 29th mogni decided to expand what she wanted. She wanted as many cache types on that day as well. We got a multi, puzzle, trad, earthcache, event, wherigo, virtual. We started in the dark and also did the last 11 caches of the geo art in the dark, it was a big day.

A big leap day with the Mystery Randoms. Sir Spectre, mogni, JJ52, AussieM&M, GizmozGang and I had a big day from a event in Adelaide to finding all the geoart at the bottom of Yorke Peninsula. We were tired by the end of the day. This one was found along the way. TFTC
Mrs Gizmo was invited to join mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, Aussie M & M and JJ52 for a big day starting with an early morning event, then some different cache types in the city before hitting the road to the Yorke Peninsula to complete the geo art.
We started at the boat and continued on to the other geo art on a logical route. We performed cache maintenance as needed and retrieved any mint tins that we found.
We had a great weekend full of fun and friendships. My biggest caching trip yet.

A big day was planned for "Leap Day" with mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, Aussie M & M and Gizmo's Gang heading down to the bottom of Yorke Peninsula to complete the geo art and find as many different cache types as we could as this opportunity only comes around once every four years.
We had a fun day/weekend and achieved all our goals, starting with a very early event, then some different cache types before we left the city for the drive down to Warooka where we started in earnest.
So we started at the boat and made our way around all the geo art in a logical manner doing a lot of cache maintenance as needed. Now all caches and logs are in good condition and we recovered a lot of mint tins to be repurposed.
Thanks for the cache and series Fishy Tales.

A huge day out with Aussie M & M, gizmos gang, JJ52, sir_spectre and AllisterW. We had a mission to complete all of the geo art on the base of Yorke Penninsula and complete it we did. In the process all caches that needed some love were fixed and all mint tins spotted removed.

Well I have been eyeing off these power trails for a couple of years but not sure when I would be down this way. I had a couple of days without plans over these holidays so booked a campsite, threw my tent in the car, put my bike on the racks and headed over to the Yorke.
My prefered method of tackling these trails is on my bike. I park my car amongst a group of caches then head off on my bike for 5 or ten kilometres and then head back to the car. This way I cover twice as much distance as necessary and is significantly slower than drive and stop but I get the added benefit of some exercise.
Day One.
————-
Windy day in the bike today. When I did have a head wind I had to contend with the seemingly endless flies buzzing around my face. I don’t know what is worse... flies going up my nose or getting in between my glasses and my eyes. The answer is neither- worst is when they get in my mouth when I am trying to take a drink from my water bottle.
A few caches today were damaged and I replaced them when I had some spares on me. I came armed with a few spares in the car but was only carrying a couple each time I set off on my bike. I was pretty confident one was missing so I replaced that one too. All others were found in various states ranging from very good to missing container where logbooks were in plastic bags.
I didn’t break any records but My legs are feeling it. I’ll sleep well tonight. Hoping for calmer winds tomorrow.
Only one snake today (a baby) and he was playing dead so managed to retrieve the cache without bothering him.
Thanks for the power trails Fishy Tales.

Following lots of travel over the past few months, I arrived back home in Adelaide on Monday from a short trip to Tasmania. However, after only a few days I was getting itchy feet again so thought it might be good to squeeze one last trip in before Christmas. The Yorke Peninsula looked like a good option, so I made a last-minute decision yesterday to head down there today.
I couldn’t believe my luck this morning when I got up and looked at the caching app and saw that there were a few new unfound caches that had been published in the past few days that were close to where I was headed. Some more were published while I was in the area and I ended up with nine FTFs for the day, which was quite a bonus!
I am not a great fan of powertrails and usually get bored with them very quickly, but it seems almost impossible to avoid the geoart on any caching trip to the southern Yorke Peninsula. While I had no interest in the lines of Traditionals, I did decide to do some of the art involving the Mystery caches.
They were certainly a mixed bag of containers and hides and some took me a while to find. The condition of containers and contents was also very mixed, with many (probably more than half) well past their effective ‘use-by’ date. However others had been recently replaced with nice new containers and clean, dry logsheets, which were much appreciated. The caches I found that seemed to be generally in the worst condition were those in the ‘FT’ series that were placed along the Yorke Highway.
In all I completed around 100 or so in the series’ today before I’d had enough. It was then nice to head down to Innes National Park to find a couple of other caches, take in the scenery and enjoy a short walk to round off the day.
Thanks Fishy Tales for the cache.

As with the rest of the KaA team, I was plum tired out after a full day down the fishing line... BUT DaveWazza and I were wanting to fulfill personal goals and pushed on. Both of us using what was left of energy but it was good to have quality time with a respected cacher. Took what seemed like forever to find just a few so we changed tact and went elsewhere. Davewazza nor I just didnt need to be charging into bushes at some weird time of night looking for plastic! And, I must admit, this machine was a lot quicker than I once it got dark. Unfortunately this log is blurred in with everything else!! Appreciate the time and effort it took to get this serious out. TYFTC SLTNLN

After a mad cap crazy day yesterday on the fishing line Team KAA enjoyed a well earned sleep in. I wouldn't say we were fully refreashed, but it was not long before the demands of the day had us enthused to get out there. Some of the team had carried on last night to get a few extra, and the rest of us are on the road now playing catchup while those who went out last night are going "Hurry up!!" Nice to be a cool day (yesterday got to a crazy 42 degrees) so a much more comfortable trip.
Despite the lack of urgency (we did not finish and did not expect to finish the geoart) we soon settled into the same rivalry as yesterday, making for some very fast finding. And like yesterday, lots of getting out of the car only to have someone else say found it ('cause they got out of the car 3 seconds earlier) so a walk around the car just to make the get-out-of-the-car feel useful.
All caches signed as KAA because the stamp ran out of ink. KAA are the Kiwis and Aussies - Mar1sa and the Seagnoid for the Kiwis, skuzzybear, Munja and DavidWazza for the Aussies.

A long weekend with a massive amount of geocache finds in the Yorke Peninsula! The weekend was filled with a loong day of the fishing line power trail, followed by a subsequent day of the geoart at the peninsula bottom. I managed to squeeze in a night scuba dive, and then it was a slow return home finding a few geocaches on the way. An unexpected enjoyable weekend than what I thought it would be, with great company from locals Munja and skuzzybear, and visiting Kiwis mar1sa and the Seagnoid.
Today's objective was to complete as much of the geoart power trails as we could, and we were not under as much time pressure for running in and out of the vehicle as we did yesterday. It was a later start departing around 9:30 a.m. collecting a few geocaches from Edithburgh to Yorketown before meeting up with the other team members. We then completed the following geoart: Fishy Tales (FT), Fish, Jellyfish, Sally Starfish, and Sammy Starfish. The remaining caches from the Anchor were also found from the previous evening. A rewarding dinner was then had in Yorketown, before I said farewell to the team and squeezed in a night scuba dive at Edithburgh Jetty.
Our first geoart cache, *FT - Oarfish*, was found at 11:15 hr today, up until *Sammy Starfish26* was found at 17:46 hr. Some great views whilst finding some of the caches along the coastal roads. Our replacement containers were near exhausted, and there were several of these sections that really did need attention from future geocacher visitors. Overall, the quality of them are at a B rating - some were good, but it was clear there were sections that needed new containers and logbooks, with most of those having brittle/cracked containers, some wet logbooks, and some suffered from chewing from animals. Nevertheless, most geocaches were found within a reasonable amount of time, with some requiring full team searches. A few were not found due to suspected road maintenance, and so were consequently replaced. Caches were signed as KAA (Kiwis and Aussies). Thanks Fishy Tales team with the massive effort involved in hiding, publishing, and maintaining these massive groups of caches!

The third day of the Aussies and Kiwi’s caching trip to the York Peninsula and today we were attempting to tackle the Geo Art. After a quick breakfast we made our way back towards Warooka, and like the previous day we quickly got into our caching rhythm. Whilst we were still chasing numbers, we were not looking to push ourselves as much as we did yesterday. With this being the case, we still were able to achieve some good numbers and have an enjoyable day. As the sun began to sink low in the sky, we finally decided to call it a day and try and find something for tea. All logs were signed as KaA (Kiwis and Aussies).

We travelled over 1500km to do this geoart series, they looked so tempting sadly for us this has turned into disappointment, and eventually we gave up the idea of doing the series due to the very poor state of the caches (unsignable) and sometimes complete lack of logbook. Of the caches we completed in the shark series only a couple were good. Not realizing the extent of the problem we didn't keep notes on what was wrong with each so can only make notes and put owner maintenance on later ones. We tried initially to do repairs but having just about exhausted our supplies on previous caches we had to give up. This series either needs a significant maintenance run or to be archived as it may have had its day. Wish we could have got over here a bit earlier. We enjoyed the puzzles and love the geoart.
Following on from our early evening Event at Minlaton gridge98, one of the Attendees, mentioned that he was heading off to do some of the Fishy Artwork further south. He asked if we would like to join him and so of course we jumped at the opportunity to do so, grabbing our headlamps before the three of us set off to the start of the Big Fish. Having just completed the entire Gone Fishn' Trail the day before we were still in Power Trail mode and so with gridge98 driving we quickly settled into a routine, picking up the caches at a good steady rate as fortunately we had pre-solved the puzzles and they were already on our GPS. By the time midnight arrived we had completed both the Big Fish and the Anchor Geo-artwork. A great evenings caching ended by cementing our newly found friendship over cheese and biscuits and a cup of tea in our campervan back in Minlaton before we all turned in for a well earned short nights rest. Many thanks to gridge98 for having invited us to join him and to the COs for having laid the trails. Thanks also for the information on the cache pages that we enjoyed reading as we logged. Greetings from Zimbabwe
A last minute trip that was purely made due to there being a CITO at Minlaton, off I went caching at a few stops along the way from Adelaide, collecting a few of the T.O.Y caches.
Arrived at the event for the evening to meet some lovely people from different parts of the world. We chatted and shouted so many stories around culture and the differences between countries, lots of random caching experiences and as well just some random conversations. After the event I had planned to do some of the geo art further south. I was soon joined by team GBS and what legends they are, some amazing people and they went guns blazing along the trails.
From 7-12 we found just over 210 caches. The trail is in very poor condition and probably needs a maintenance run in the near future. Some of the caches are broken or just a log book.
Day 2 I woke up and did some local caching before the CITO. The CITO was fantastic with 4 large bags being collected. I soon said my good byes and targeted the rest of the T.O.Y series along the eastern coast line. All the caches in the series are all in good condition.
Then I farted for the event back in Adelaide by mid day. Overall a total of 255 caches for an overnight trip and some long time caching friends made.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for their placements
Sorry for the generic log.

Another earlyish start again today to collect some more geoart from the Yorke Penninsula. Hit a bit more traffic this time but we weren't going quite as far so it didn't matter. Managed to get 208 caches all up, which was the shark, starfish and finished off the jellyfish. Most caches were found quickly, but some took a bit of time. Some were wet, some containers were damaged and some needed new logs. We replaced a couple of logs, but as we are on holiday, didn't have our usual supplies with us. Saw 1 snake and so many goats we couldn't count. tftc
On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Today is our fourth day on the peninsula and we are continuing with the Geoart trails. We headed out to the Shark and started caching about 9:00am. We love the idea of this type of layout and really appreciate the work that has gone in to it. We soon found though, that our dream run had come to an end. The condition of so many of the containers defied description and some serious maintenance is required. We also found that the coordinates on quite a few were off, one in particular was about 16m out. This spoiled somewhat, the overall enjoyment of the outing. We still had a good day so thanks Fishy Tails for the art. Kutgw
*** Unfortunately most of the caches need maintenance immediately. Most were wet, broken, substandard replacements and the ones that are ok were only a handful. As many people know it is very hard to log a needs maintenance when on holidays AND when doing power trails, so I will aim to try and remember to do that when we get home, but I apologies if I don’t get to it.
In saying that, I will aim to log individual notes where I remembered to take them. I did miss a fair few as we were trying to get through them quickly.
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
We had worked out the mysteries before heading here to ensure we had a plan and could execute it with ease. Today we did that. It didn’t take us long to finish the whole 158 with amazingly no dnfs caches of the shark, taking roughly 3hrs.
Thanks for the Geoart Mysteries Fishy Tales, I hope these last forever.

Found with dty73 and youban on our Yorke Peninsula invasion! We are not normally after big numbers, but this week we decided to come over and do some big numbers! (To get that out of our system! - And get some cool stats ). Today the FT trail was on the agenda. All logs signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban). Mind you this FT series is very poorly... The other series so far have been fine, but for some reason, this one is very bad! There were a lot of totally destroyed containers, papermache logs and just plain rubbish caches. This trail really needs the CO to do a run, and replace all the containers. Having said that, we did sign EVERY log - even if only on the outside of the paper mache lump. (Pen is happy to write on wet paper). Thanks for the cache and all the series. At least we clocked up the numbers .
A few weeks ago we started solving the puzzles for the geo art on the Yorke Peninsular. Of course, once we had finished we definitely needed to come here and find them. Luckily for us it was on our way home, having been in Western Australia for months and living in Victoria, we drive straight past the Yorke Peninsular to get home. In the past we haven’t even stopped, and we are very glad that the multitude of caches has given us the excuse to visit. What a lovely area.
We started on the Gone Fishn’ trail 6 days days ago, and it took us four long days to complete it (with a break in the middle). We thought we would take the art one picture at a time. Quite a few of the containers were brittle and had disintegrated so where we could we replaced them, but we ran out of replacements unfortunately.
What a mammoth job it must have been developing, placing and maintaining all these caches. Congratulations to the team. It’s blokes like you that keep us coming back for more.
Day one begins
TFTC and the huge effort you have all put in for this power trail
Team SWAGJJ are spending most of the week on Yorke Peninsular to collect a bit of geo art!! As well as any traditionals or multis or puzzles that we might be passing by. Having a great time. Thanks to all the COs.
Day 1 of our Yorke Peninsula collected. Collected the Boat and Fishy Tales artwork as well as a few other caches along the way. A very busy and fun day was had by all. Caches stamped with "SWAG-JJ" being the acronym of the cachers in our team. TFTC!
Visiting Yorke Peninsula from QLD for a week of caching with geo friends Waz and Vic, Ardom, Gcoven, JACS Team and joojoo57.
Enjoying the SA countryside and the vast amount of caches to find. All logs stamped with our team name SWAG-JJ

Travelling down from Queensland with my fellow cachers Snickersallan, Waz and Vik, Ardom, Gcoven and JooJoo57. We have planned a week long adventure to collect all the geoart, the fishing line and anything else we can get. Thanks for the cache!
Day 1: Today we completed the Boat and Fishy Tales and some of the fishing line and traditional. We took some time and found a few previous finders DNF’s, also located two GZ that had two caches so we took the spare and replaced a couple where we also had DNF’s with previous finders DNF’s too. We are well and truly stuffed and will sleep so well tonight. Planned out assault for tomorrow where hopefully we will finish the art

Day 8 of BarnZy and Cravo’s trip from Perth to Adelaide
Today we completed the Fishy Tales Geoart on the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula.
Based in Warooka for two days we had caches our way down the Gone fishing series the day before so decided to get stuck into the geoart puzzles today. The puzzles were quite easy and monotonous to solve, but a great reward for a huge effort to solve them all.
We had a great time driving from cache to cache, and have really enjoyed the last two days caching the Yorke Peninsula. Something that has been a pipe dream of mine for some time. I’m so glad we were able to make it a reality.
I would like to thank the team behind the Fishy tales name who would have spend many hours planning, organising and setting up this great series for us to go and find. A big thank you.
Thanks for a great couple of days on the Peninsula, were gonna have a final crack at cleaning all of the Main powertrail caches up on our way to Port Augusta for our return leg home to Perth.

Day 8 of the Perth to Adelaide trip where we started in Warooka and ended in Warooka.
Today was the day, the second main reason for the trip over, the start of the Geo Art trails on the peninsula. We had over 1400 caches saved off line and a variety of others to now find in the next 3 days prior to starting the drive home
We had planned this for quite some time and until we broke it down for caches to be found v hours in a day the thought of how long the days would be didn’t cross the minds until the night before.
Once we realised that it was going to be some full on 12 hour days we were up at the crack of dawn each day energised with a good nights sleep, phones fully charged and looking forward to the day ahead.
Today was like yesterday very repetitive drive 200mt Park, get out, find cache, log cache, get back into car, load next cache, repeat...... obviously though that process there were a few changes to that order when we struggled to find the cache however most were just like that.
We were lucky enough or unlucky enough to have one of the warmest streaks or weather in Adelaide in April ever with the temp above 33 for 3 consecutive days. On the peninsula it was up to 37 for the best part of the day.
Fishy Tales We found your cache FT - Sweep thanks for placing this power trail for myself and others to find. It’s large scale trails like this that we have travelled for.

Found whilst on the Fabulously Random caching trip with my awesome buddy feathertop - from St Arnaud, Victoria to the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia with many, many random caching stops in between. [^] Today we focussed on a few random caches, the Sally Starfish and FT series - huge day, but most enjoyable.
Our combined team name whilst on this trip was "Fabulous Randoms" and that is how the 'millions' of log books have been stamped (bar a few with our actual caching names in them).
We did replace a few caches on the various powertrails with the COs permission - due to caches that were broken, missing/lost in the copious amounts of undergrowth.
What a fantastic trip despite me having some GPSr dramas [:(!]....thank goodness for GSAK and being able to manually log finds. We encountered friendly flies, a brown snake up close and personal, hilarious moments, extremely sore muscles, some crazy driving decisions and loads of caches found on this adventure.
Thanks so much for the cache Fishy Tales!

This was the first of the much anticipated geoart that the fabulous Goodlook and I tackled today on day 1 of our Yorke Peninsula odyssey.
A bit of a pain to solve these but the lure of nearly 600 puzzles too much to resist.
Most containers in this stretch in reasonable condition.
Lots of high grass at the start made things tough but through the middle section and on the dirt roads all went well.
Thanks so much for your efforts out here

Today we tackled a section of the FT Geoart series finding over 50 caches this afternoon. Some were quick finds others required some searching. We replaced and repaired caches along the way. We enjoyed the back roads and a good time was had.
We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing this series for our enjoyment.

Back out with Mr jackylegs finding the Geoart caches. Most were quick finds but we did replace and repair as we went along. We found a lot of chewed up containers and some containers weren't there but there was a log book in a plastic bag only.Hope to get the Geoart finished tomorrow, Thanks to all the CO,S for placing the caches
Day 2 of our mammoth week begun with a very early start to try and grab some caches before the Anzac Dawn Service in Warooka . We were in full geocaching beast mode today and signing cache logs like they were in short supply [^].
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to Fishy Tales for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache FT - Sweep today. This is my find #6635 and find #7 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again Fishy Tales for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
Today we had busy day with these puzzle caches. We got all but one of them logged.

#5165 - 11:54; After an early start in Canberra, Sol de lune and I had landed in Adelaide where we were met by albida 33 and fitzy_1965 to head over to the Yorke Peninsula to tackle the various geoart caches at the southern end. After collecting a couple of caches on the way over, we had now made it to the first of the geoart on our 'to do' list. No problems here and while I didn't recognise some of the fishy names, I've tasted quite a few Logs signed ALFS. Apologies for the generic logs, but I'm sure you understand why. TFTC Fishy Tales
Yorke Peninsula 2016. This weekend I joined Fitzy_1965, Sol de Lune and Luckyl10n for a six day trip to the South Australian Yorke Peninsula to get all of the geo art puzzles at the southern tip area. We had a great weekend and apart from about five DNFs were overall very successful. The trip started on Wednesday after work when Fitzy and I jumped in the car and drove to Narrandera for the night. The next day was a long day of driving to Adelaide via Balranald, Murrayville, Pinneroo and Tailem Bend. On Friday Fitzy and I went to Adelaide airport to collect Sol de Lune and Luckyl10n before heading to Port Wakefield and down the Peninsula to get started on the art. Thee days of art later we were all done by lunchtime on Sunday so went looking for another few short series near Port Wakefield. The trip ended with a two day drive home with all four of us via Mildura and Balranald. A fantastic weekend and I cannot wait till we can do another trip !
Thanks.

Yorke peninsula trip with albida33, Luckyl10n, fitzy_1965. Logs were signed as ALFS.
Day one and after arriving in the area we stated with the FT series. Managed to find almost all the caches, with about 8 DNF's over the 4 days we were in there. Most of the finds were quickly in hand, but of course there were the odd ones where it took all 4 of us searching. A good weekend of caching a good time had by all. Stayed at the pub at Yorketown.
Thanks to Fishy Tales for setting everything up.

12055. Albida33, LuckyL10n, fitzy_1965 and Sol de Lune (Team "ALFS") headed over to the Yorke Peninsula to cache around the GeoArt there.
Continuing along the GeoArt series with Team ALFS. So here we are finally at the main event we had planned for for over six months. Over the next three days we visited each of the 588 Puzzles - in between the odd non-GeoArt caches - for 581 finds and 7 DNFs which we are pretty sure in all cases are missing in action for various reasons - some quite unlucky like the car accident right on one GZ. Most were quick finds but of course there were the ones that took that extra searching to reveal the hidey hole.
Thanks Fishy Tales !! Awesome fun was had by us all !

Out and about on the trail, and a follow up visit to the area for me. Some showers earlier in the morning but mostly a cool but very pleasant day. Very pleased at a 100% success rate on the FT series today, my longest ever streak without a DNF!
All logbooks signed, and the cache returned as found. Many thanks to Fishy Tales for another great series.

I was accompanied by 'Roogles!' & ‘Library Ladies’ on this find. Together, we’ve been geocaching all over Australia for the past month… and I thank you very much for adding to our adventure!
Found while on a Geocaching road trip with 'Library Ladies' and 'The Jackaroo!'
We decided a few months ago that the 'Shark' would be our primary focus for this Y.P. trip, and I set about solving the coordinates for the caches... over a reasonably short amount time, I was able to get the work done.
On this trip we used tiny stickers, dated by hand previously, with the team name, "Team SoExp" to speed up our caching and save space on log-sheets.
We managed to find all but 33 of them on the 30th, and then the remainder of them this morning.
All in all - it was a *great* series - so thanks for placing all of them for us to find - I'm very happy to have found them with family - and a good friend.
Geo-art Puzzle Cache Owners are awesome!
Thanks!

Found with The Jackaroo and Roogles!. We are using the team name Team SoExp. For this adventure we used labels to speed things up some. Even then, we didn't finish the series in one day and ended up spending the night in Marion Bay. We had solved the puzzles for this geoart awhile back knowing that we would be visiting Adelaide. Most of the caches in this series were quick finds, but several took a bit of searching. On some of the roads there wasn't much traffic, which helped make searching easier. We even spotted a few of the caches from the car!! We had a fabulous time caching this great series! TFTC!

Little did Matthew Flinders know there would be 159 species of Geo-Fish scattered across the Yorke Peninsula two hundred or more years after his visit. Along with Suscoe we went fishing again today and identified and tagged a further 133 along the trail. The harsh climes of the South Australian countryside have taken a toll on quite a number of species and they are showing signs of premature aging or possible extinction.
A check list will be forwarded to the relevant authorities.
Our thanks to Fishy Tales for placing this cache.

Suscoe was out and about today in the very good company of Phetlern catching up with the wonderful caches on the Yorke Peninsular.
Our task today was to visit the F. T. trail hides and Sally Starfish GZ’s.
Overnight the weather underwent a significant change with a strong southerly change and very heavy rain prior to sunrise. It was cool and rainy from time to time throughout the day and in between there was some sunshine and cloudy skies.
Apart from the weather it was a delightful day with a terrific number of finds, over 150 for the day and we were able to finish our work by mid afternoon.
The roads were reasonably quiet, we had worked out the plan of attack and we had minimal crossing of the road to do.
A few caches on the F. T. trail are in need of some TLC as they have suffered from UV damage from the strong S. A. sunshine.
We had lots of fun throughout the day caching with Phetlern and another most enjoyable day was had by us.
Thanks to Fishy Tales for this cache.
A very satisfying achievement for we four geocachers.

2nd day of Bazinga01 and Arkbell80's S.A. caching adventure. Today we started at 8:30 in the morning at Sammy Starfish then onto Hook stopped in Marion Bay for some lunch then we tackled Sally Starfish and then half of the FT series. We stopped for dinner and went back to the Howling Dog for another great parma. After dinner we completed the Fish, Anchor and the rest of the FT series, throughout the day we also grabbed a couple of traditional caches. We finished all of the mystery caches at about 11.30 pm, what a great series, now back to Corny Point for the night and then back to Melbourne tomorrow. Thanks for all the hard work gone into these caches.
My apologies for the repetitive log entries but I’m sure you would understand why.
Day 2
Arkbell80 and I had seen these shapes on the map earlier in our caching career. I had been in awe of people attempting this many caches in only 2 days but in the words of Barnabus "Barney" Stinson (How I Met Your Mother) we thought, "Challenge accepted". We would like to have said we did hours of preparation with weeks of training for such an event but it ended up quite the opposite.
We decided to fly over from Melbourne so we could start fresh. After checking into the Corny Point Caravan Park (Base of Operations) we completed the "Boat" in a few hours on day 1. We then decided to complete Sammy Starfish, Hook, Jelly Fish, Sally Starfish, the Shark, Fish and Anchor on day 2. We started our caching day a little after 8:30am and finish the day around 11:30pm with dinner in between at the Howling Dog (Great Parma BTW). Alternating between driving and hunting helped keep us warm. Luckily on our second day the sun was out and our feet stayed dry. After 151 caches down on the first day we didn’t like our chances of finishing all remaining 437 caches today. In all, across the 2 days we spent around 19 hours of caching time with an average of about 1 cache every 2 minutes (drive, stop, find and get back in the car). This being said, the coordinates were very close to spot on for most of the caches and in a lot of instances we could see the cache or where it would be as we approached. Night caching, having it’s draw backs in some instances, was also easier for some parts of the series when you know what you’re looking for. Kangaroos hopping around at night didn’t prove much of a threat either because we rarely were driving fast or far enough to hit them. We did see a fair few though.
Thank you to Fishy Tales for creating and maintaining this incredible series. The whole experience from leaving Melbourne to arriving back home has been enjoyable.

Please excuse the generic logs, but this series is so big, it's not really easy to do individual logs.
We arrived on The Yorke Peninsula and headed straight into caching as soon as we arrived and will book at Point Turton later. We had a ball finding the caches in this series and together with the wind and rain, had an enjoyable time doing them.
Thank you Fishy Tales for this great series.

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. This Fishy Tales series was facinating reading as I found I did not know as many fish names as I thought I did. Thanks for the great list. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.
First we must appologise for the generic logs.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

Easter Weekend - Yorke Peninsular - 3000kms - 640 caches - 4000 cache milestone.
After discussions with Gonefishen07 and Bounty Trackers a plan was hatched to visit the Yorke Peninsular to tackle the fish geo art over Easter. We set out Thursday lunchtime heading to Bordertown, a side trip to Minyip to check out Coopers Crossing was made. Friday we turned off at Murray Bridge and headed to Gawlar to check out Gawlar's Fort Knox, we had lunch at Port Wakefield before heading down to Marion Bay to meet everyone. The group Geo Nerds comprise of Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Velocachu and BorisB&Natasha. We cached locally on Friday afternoon and hit the powertrails in earnest on Saturday where we finished on Sunday lunchtime. We then visited a number of caches on the coast to see some magnificent views. Monday saw us depart Marion Bay heading up to Balranald through Renmark grabbing a cache in three states in one day! A detour to Tocumwal then the drive back to Melbourne saw a fantastic weekend end. Thank you to Leesa, Zoe, Ash, Rob, Kate and Sioux for the fun, frivolity and friendship that made the weekend so great!
Saturday saw us having a real crack at the Geo Art power trails. Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, we moved across to Fish before starting some of Fish Tales. Heading back to HQ for lunch we then completed Sammy Starfish and majority of Boat before once again going back to HQ for dinner. We tackled Sally Starfish and some more of Fish Tales in darkness before calling it quits for the night. We managed 470 caches in the 24 hour period.
Thank you for all the placers and cache owners we had a fantastic time!!!

It was with great excitement that I headed to South Australia with the Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Zobo04 & Velocachu.
I have never cached outside of Victoria, nor in a group and I was really looking forward to it.
Every single one of us achieved a very memorable milestone made even more special because they were achieved with very special friends.
As we worked through each geo art I was amazed how quickly we all fell into a rhythm like well oiled machines, finding more caches in a day than I had ever thought possible.
Thank you so much Fishy Tales for the time and effort it must have taken to set this up. I'm sure it enables many groups like ours to get together, have lots and lots of fun and form life long friendships, all in the quest for a little plastic container.

Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).
Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced us with there presence and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor, some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.
Milestone achieved
Velocachu 500
Zobo04 2000
Borisb&Natasha 2000
De Ja Vu 3000
KTCvic 4000
Gonefishen07 4000
Bounty Trackers 4000
Thanks to all the cache owners for the effects in placing such a great series we just loved it.
A BIG THANKYOU to Kate,Rob,Sioux,Katy,Trent,Leesa,Campbell & Zoe for a fun filled Easter long weekend, I had a great time with lots of laughs, thanks again.

Today was our 2nd day in the area. We had lots of fun achieving many milestones between us. This was a big day for us with a total of 420 found & signed today with Geo Nerds, (Bounty Trackers, KTCVic, Gonefishen07, Boris&Natasha, Velocachu & Zobo04). Thanks for placing this series & bringing us together for a very memorable & crazy Easter weekend with friends.
Hi there Fishy Tales. We found your cache **"FT - Sweep"** at 12:00:00 PM today.
This was our 22nd cache find in a caching run of 101 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 13082.)
Day 1 of our attempt to clean up the Geo-Art on the Yorke Peninsula, a late start this morning. We thoroughly enjoyed the caches we found today, but Penny didn't enjoy being bitten by ants quite a few times!
Please excuse our boilerplate logs. We know it's not really a good excuse, but we find it really difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within 5m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** This one is suffering badly from UV degradation and has shattered.
**Took:** Nothing.**
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Today I headed out to complete the FT series geo-art with one half of The Drovers who did the driving. We were also supplied with a large amount of cache containers to do some maintenance along the way. This turned out to be a major task as we also had to build rock piles! Some areas had no rocks!!
We ran out of the supplied containers on the last leg so used some of mine that I had in the geomobile. A number of containers are on their last legs so some more maintenance will be required in the future.
Thanks for a great series.

Found myself in SA for other reasons this month, and McPhan agreed to join me for our third trip to Yorke. Caches have definitely proliferated since our last visit, and our attention was largely on the geoart this time.
A huge effort putting these trails out, but we note many of the containers are suffering UV damage. Had a great time collecting them, particularly along the tertiary roads which were quiet and bucolic. Favoured by cooler yet dry weather too, and far fewer flies and grass seeds than we remember from other visits. The only downside was the swarms of meat and inch ants in many places, but that was more McPhan's problem than mine! Still had ants in the car for days afterwards.
Thanks Fishy Tales for the series.

9603 and 262nd of 270 found today.
Almost a last minute invitation from Winglen to join him for his return trip from South Australia and lots of puzzle "solving" in the week leading up to my flying to Adelaide. Picked up at the airport and whisked away to Yorke where we managed almost 90 caches yesterday afternoon and evening.
Today is going to be the big one and we should set our record for number of finds in a day. We're not obsessed enough to try the 24 hour thing but do like to find a healthy number.
Lots of stops and loads of ants which unfortunately tend to bite. One bull ant got me on the back today and I think I ended up with half a dozen other bites today (lost count eventually but was well over a dozen for the trip - thank fully only two bull ant bites). At least the flies and grass seeds weren't as fierce as our previous two jaunts to Yorke. Good to see the white rock pointers and good co-ords on a lot of the hides.
A lot of effort has been put into all the series/power trails that we did during our visit and we truly appreciate the efforts from all involved in placing and maintaining them.
Thanks for the cache Fishy Tales and the outdoors.

It took me a day and a half to find all the caches in this series by myself. I learnt a few things along the way - for example, don't turn off the car each time to get out and find a cache, starting the car each time runs the battery down. Luckily I learnt this before it failed me.
I saw lots of interesting stuff on the roadside... a range of native australian animals and some feral animals (roadkill), a heap of discarded scallop shells and some diving equipment, and miscellaneous cans, bottles and clothing. I also had several meat ant bites with some of these critters hitchhiking into my car on my person. The last one was evicted two days after I finished the FT trail.
Thanks for an interesting fishy powertrail.

We came here prepared with solved puzzles, Wilbert67 making the trip a bit of extra fun. We completed the series which was a huge effort and making it a long day.The weather was good to us. on this series there were many containers that have perished and will be needing a little help, We seen many variety of wild life along the way including a huge bull in the middle of the road. Thanks for bringing us here and placing the trail for all to enjoy. TFTCchanging dates.
Already day 4 of the big caching trip[ for this year. Goal is a lot of power trails today, but certainly not forget the caches on the way there from Stanbury and back. Perfect caching weather today, not to hot, not to dusty and a nice breeze to cool off once in a while!

Many thanks Fishy Tales for showcasing the York Peninsula and the geo art you produced. We would most likely not have visited this area without your mammoth effort.
Travelled all the way from Melbourne to collect this series. Found with 6Hinemoa2 today. Some were tricky to spot some were not.
Despite the heat the car didn't miss a beat. Enjoyed the air conditioning in the car.

After my first night in one of the motels of Adelaide I started my trip into the direction of Warooka...
Along the route - of course - I looked for some more or less special geocaches...
But my main goal was to reach the area of Warooka to start with the PowerTrails there...

Day seven of the short holiday with Bettyboo3747.
Left our house in Point Sultana, and drove across to Marion Bay. The weather was very changeable with light showers then warm sunshine. On the way we collected a few caches on the road, and a small pile of Fishy Tales.
We started the Fishes on our way over. We discussed each fish in turn - good to see you can see their names on the GPSr. Some neither of us had hear of, but many were familiar friends from diving.
btw, many of these cache containers are suffering from the sun - several need urgent replacement (we weren't carrying enough spare container with us, sorry)
Thanks, Robmc.
