Had a Friend to dinner and we talked about geocaching, always doing it. I had the app and was a premium member but had not bothered. 10.00pm last night we went into the park and found the cache. Dogs barking, waking up the neighbours. Great fun, I will now do more geocaching.
Was telling a friend about caching when I showed her how it works and how you can find them in your area. Amazingly there was one across the road so we headed to the park, in the dark with the torch. Dogs were barking and it was very creepy. Even better when we found the red back. Log was signed and friend was hooked. Welcome to the addictive world of geocaching. TFTC Fullboar, was nice to meet you.
Living in the city would be so much better if you lived in a house that backed onto a park like this. Great hide quick find tftc
Quick find. Was nice to come back here I used to live in a house not 30m from this spot. A little furtehr up the hill. Place has not changed in the past 17 odd years.
Giving this one a favorite point. I like the effort placed into the making of t he cache. Unfortunately you don't see a lot of that. Its good to see. TFTC

So pleased we have never seen a real one of these this size, the effect of the bite could be quite nasty. Hubby used to work on a barra farm near Bowen and they were not able to spray for these critters and they were all over the place. SL TFTC
checked this one and yes, the Bayview Arachnid thief has struck again, new cache and log in place.

Relatively quick find but had to avoid the watch if some people who were camped in the park with a camper trailer and tent all set up! TFTC.
My first geocache so had no idea what I was looking for! Awesome thanks. Those dogs though...
Glad it wasan easy find as I still havent quite got the hang of caching on my galaxy tab so its a lot harder to navigate than the iphone app!

In Cairns for the weekend and decided to do a spot of caching with the geokids. Geoson Braithan found the interesting prize after a brief search.

On my geocaching tour with my rented bike i could find this one today. TFTC and greetings from germany.
Out and about early this morning enjoying a fine day.
Once again, this is a small area of suburban parkland that we had never visited before. We located the original cache container after a search of some more obvious spots.
Thanks Fullboar. A new career as a cache maker awaits you.

Great cache. It is actually pretty scary when you uncover it! Thanks for this cache Fullboar!
Maybe because it was pouring rain, and we didn't have good mobile reception, we could not locate. Will have to try again when there is no cyclone lurking!!
Another rainy day in FNQ while getting ready for severe TC Ita AND of course going on a treasure hunt with my good GC friends Walter + Ingrid - thank you for more interesting discussions. Nicely hidden this little red back and luckily the venom fangs had been removed. T4TC.
Loved the container! After reading the description about spider bites, Bear jumped when a green ant gave him a bite.

Utterly fearless[8)] we approached this very scary and dangerous creature. After all it is said to be severely venomous. How about just grabbing it from the side so that it cannot bite us[?]
However there were some other complementary coloured guards around which were quite defensive and had to be overcome, too[8)].
After Ingrid grabbed the spider in a feisty way, it really took a load of our minds[B)] when we found out it was just a fake spider[^].
We are proud having passed this adventure and looking forward to the next one.
You can have this great experience in a nice and secluded park feeling close to nature[^] with curlews and ibises around.
