A great weekend spent on North Stradbroke with Beardman75, Peppa, wayn0 and NowToMorrow, grabbing as many caches as we could. It was getting late in the day but thought wed grab a few more caches before setting up camp. Once at GZ we found the cache after a short search. Thanks DRMLFind #6188
Ive never visited North Stradbroke Island in the decades, many decades Ive lived in Brisbane, an opportunity never presented itselfSo when Davinells made the suggestion, I cleared my calendar and packed my best Travel Princess bags with the specific list:- Camping Mat; Sleeping Bag; Pillow; Torch; & Chair The pillow is still at home on the dining table Coming across with Beardman75 the plan involved meeting up with Wayn0 and Now To Morrow after their boozy morning at the local breweryOnce at GZ, it took more than one circuit before Davinells finally spotted the containerThanks DRML Koala Count: 1
TFTC! This one was a lot of fun! Took the family out to complete this cache. Was a nice little walk from the house we were staying in. Took us a bit to find the cache, mum ended up getting low and found it! Team Jaged!

A Sunday outing on Straddie. Our second visit this year. A quick find at GZ but is a high Muggle area & I didnt know anyone .
Day One on North Stradbroke Island with my wife for our wedding anniversary. Thankfully she let me do some caching as well. It was nice to be finally back on North Stradbroke Island for years. Plus my wife hasnt been here at all. We check into our accommodation the head over for lunch. Oh yes it was a beautiful lunch. Then on the way back to Point Lookout I grab four caches.DRML thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for geocaching community enjoyment
Beautiful spot and enjoyable cache. Thanks for placing at my favourite point on the island!
Attempt #1 - raining and getting dark.
Attempt #2 - morning muggles on a nearby deck.

We loved this multi - a nice quick one which eventually took us to a most beautiful location.
We enjoyed reading the little bit of history along the way. And at GZ there was a seat waiting for us so we could enjoy the scene while signing the log.
A great little multi. A Favourite Point from us.
Thank you DRML

Amazing quiet spot but a few muggles sitting nearby made the search a bit self conscious and so took much longer than it should. Got there eventually though. Thanks for bringing us here!
A simple multi, but one which brought us to the most stunning and peaceful of locations.
A little history along the way and then a perfectly placed seat while we signed the log.
What could be better!
A definite FP.

Great little multi in a beaut spot. It always nice to get a straightforward multi.
Went out on my first full day of caching with Nayfee, Chamad, Willis007 and JACS team.
This was a great and interesting multi learning about the local area. After working out the coordinates, GZ was quickly found and signed off as SAT5.
Thanks for bringing us here today

I had organised a short day trip to straddie to do some caching with Willis007, JACS Team, Nayfee and Alycem8. It was a great day, some fun drives, a few short walks and always a few laughs. The day started with a 6 am depart from the Cleveland ferries to Dunwich. It was then a drive around the island in a clockwise direction grabbing caches as we went.
There were a few easy finds and a few that took up valuable time. We got in a nice oldie and a few earth caches. Then there was the drive to Blue Lake, which is no longer a drive to, not happy Jan, so with limited time we will have to leave this one for another day. Thanks to my buddies for the day and to the CO’s for all these caches. We signed the caches as SAT5, however there may be a few that got signed with all our names, lol.
This one had us checking numbers and then a nice set before a short walk to reach the final. A great little spot to sit and sign the log, thanks.

Alycem89 and myself had the pleasure to join Chamad, Willis007 and JACS Teams for an action packed day of caching on North Stradbroke Island.
We hopped on the 6am barge and slowly but surely we made our way over while admiring the beautiful scenery. After a 50 minute boat ride we finally arrived and hit the road in search of some caches.
Nice simple multi which took us a few minutes to complete. The required info was easy to find and the cache was in hand shortly after.

After getting married at this location on the 4th September 2021 we proceeded to solve the multi that was nearby.
After finding the solution we spent two seperate visits looking for the cache which we eventually found once we got down lower.

This is a specialised fugue state known only to wizards, where in an academic discussion everybody involved is shouting to be heard and resolutely refusing to listen to the views advanced by other participants. The ideal is for nobody to be allowed to finish a sentence because somebody else will surely step in and drown them out.

Found it! Pen broke in my bag, so will try to come back and sign soon if possible. TFTC!

I didn't realise how long it has been since I visited Straddie, till I looked at this cache and realised it was not in place when I last crossed the water. A quick search suggests June 2010 was the last time I came over... Yikes...
A planned trip with friends from Adelaide, we did some stuff around the top right, then swung back into Amity Point for lunch. The clues for this multi were gleaned and as we made a move back to Dunwich, I nipped over to GZ for a scout around. [^]
There were a couple of muggles in the nearby 'facility' but they were too busy to even glance sideways, so I moved in for a quick find and etched my name in the log.
All done, the cache was replaced and I headed off.
Cheers DRML.

Interesting history of the island. Nice short walk to find the clues. Final cache found quite easily with hint. Tftc
Back in June I spend a couple of days on Straddie fat bike riding along the beach and the various trails. It was a great time, so great i didn't have time or bother to look for geocaches. (Well the rest of the group are all muggles). Every day we came to the coffee shop right above this cache for a coffee /snack as we started our ride. Didn't even peek at the phone at the time.
Wind forward a couple of weeks and I'm back again with the Fat Bike but solo riding and caching so heaps of time to combine 2 favorite activities. Nice little spot and the coffee drinkers above didn't even seem to notice. They were too busy taking in the views.

Ending a frustrating trip to Amity with a DNF. Had a thorough search of both logs but to no avail.
‘Can we just give up?!’ whined our son before instantly finding it. Rest of the fam were dolphin and crab spotting. An interesting multi taking is to places in Amity we probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Thanks.
Having secured a rare and much sought after invitation to stay for the weekend at Crookedpete Palisades (invitations are as exclusive as Willy Wonka's Golden Tickets), our ever thoughtful host treated us to a chauffeured tour this morning of some of the local geocaches.
After a hearty fry-up for breakfast and some lazy time in the worst of the midday heat, we ventured out again to visit a local virtual cache, and a visit here on the way back home.
The information was quickly discovered but the cache was discovered by the group in stages, each standing back to let the rest continue their search. Swellerfungus was the last man standing as we all stood back and let him search unbeknownst of our success. TFTC

After nearly stuffing my Hilux by forgetting to disengage 4wd when returning to the bitumen, I was a little distracted as others worked out where we needed to be. We ended up in a hidden gem, of a recently re-turfed park. Lovely spot to visit. Cache a little harder to find. I am told I had had my hand on it well before it was eventually found. Cache kindness at its best.
Great hiding spot, this was our first multi so weren’t entirely confident but instructions were good
Yew! Found our first cache thanks to my mum's keen eye. I definitely wouldn't call the bison "big" though
Thanks for setting up the cache. We had a great time.

Second cache for the day. Nice history. Easy to solve multi. A bit of scratching to find the 'big' bison.

TFTC. Found by JT and the crew, JT Mum Dad James Bronte Izzy Henry and Thanasi. Great puzzle and great hiding spot! FOUND after a good search. It's in the wood you think it is just have to look harder.
No luck with this cache.
We were not sure if we had the coordinates correct. The answers could be ambiguous at the school park. Were the first and last years included as completed years.
The trouble with Multi's when there is no check sum or geochecker provided is that you can go wandering off in the wrong direction with no chance of finding the final.
We ended up at a place which appeared to be correct from previous logs however we could not find it. There was a large tree that looked like it had recently blown over and if the cache was here it may well be missing.
We looked in many other places but to no avail.

After dolphin spotting on the jetty, I took the geokids on a little walk to find this cache. Nice, simple and fun for the kids.
Well spotted by RyeRye467 for an easy find.

A nice mini multi cache. Location and information was quickly obtained. Sat down and started the school mathematics to get the final location. And we got it right and then of to the final, which was right on spot. A nice historycache that we liked and give it a favorit point. Thanks for information and cache. Greetings from Sweden
May have made geocachers out of my parents, who are visiting from the states. A nice cache that shows you a bit of Amity history.
With an entourage of very keen grandsons, their cousins and uncle and grandma, and Mrs George, we trooped along the road to the community hall, then back to the old school site. With the necessary arithmetic out of the way, we set off to the final location and eager eyes searched for the cache. Found with all the help available, and managed to sign the log. TFTC, DRML, and thanks for allowing me to introduce more folk to geocaching.
After making my way up and down to the Tripod Virtual, I was interested in seeing what Amity is like, since I’ve never been here. It’s a quite little spot, especially on Easter Saturday nice and early.
I picked this cache and had a momentary hiccup when I couldn’t see the right sign... wow, what a facepalm when I realised where I’d missed it. From there, it was all pretty straightforward and I enjoyed the final locale.
Nice work here DRML: TFTC and I’ll grab that coffee next time I come.

Ludeninke found this one with eagle eyes before I spotted it after we worked together to unlock the code. A fun hunt! Thanks for guiding us around the sites of amity point!
Pprime, Fangsoki and myself had a plan to find as many caches on Straddie that we could in the 5 days we had on the island thanks to the Ekka holidays back home.
It was day 1 and we were taking a leisurely look around Amity before heading to our camp at Adder Point.
We found a couple of the waypoints and then had a try at jet skiing to the cache and failed so we then found the rest of the required information and that took us to a different spot.
The cache was quickly found.

My first find for the day with Crew 153 and Pprime while having a small holiday on Straddie.
We enjoyed going about collecting our clues and taking in the history of the town. We soon had everything we needed and found the cache at an expected area. The cache was in good condition.

Been a long time coming for me - I've been living here in QLD for almost 25 years, Mrs Prime nearly twice that ... neither of us have ever been to Straddie before. Ever. So the plan was unfolded to spend a few days in the amazingly mighty Suzee on North Stradbroke Island. Fangsoki, Crew153, Herbz and later Captain Terror, Stairman1 and Goldielover all joining us.
This first day was mostly spent in and around Amity Point. Yes there was a master Prime Plan for this trip - there usually is. We picked up the necessary digits as drive-bys and then wondered over towards our chosen GZ. (Amity Point isn't so big that anywhere is more than a wonder really). Cache found in the likely spot - although the hint "Big" is perhaps generous.
Thanks for placing this cache, DRML. Found in good condition.

Staying at Amity Point for a Tennis Girls Break Away, we took a sightseeing trip around Amity and Point Lookout and I picked up info at WP1 while on our way out.
WP2 is across the road from where we are staying, so when there was a break in the showers, I walked over to collect the info found at this location. Back to our accommodation where I did the maths and came up with co-ords.
Later in the day, when more showers had passed, we took the stroll over to find this cache and not long after, one of my muggle friends found the cache. Showed them what it was, signed the logbook and then returned it back to its hide.
Thanks for bringing us here to this lovely spot.
(the next day, I tried my hand at fishing here but didn't catch anything but saw 2 dolphins playing in the water and a big fish chasing bait fish. Wonderful morning. Will have to return with a bigger rod!)

A quiet time st Amity today we collected the answers at proceded to GZ a great location TFTC
Nice quick little multi, and such a gorgeous quiet little spot to watch the ocean. Tftc!
Hmm... Was the school open for 7 or 8 years? Once you work that out you'll find yourself on your way to a cool hide!!. At gz, nearly gave up, but persevered and soon was signing the log. Tftc!! A really enjoyable little multi.
I had planned a day out with a select group of friends to celebrate my 1000th find - with that job done and a celebratory champagne downed, it was time to work our way up the beach and around the island and collect the other caches.
Great multi and the final location brings back memories for me - I located the cache and did the signing and then checked for Wobbiegongs in the water but none around today. The water here is just stunning!

Several of us worked together to answer the questions before hot footing it over to GZ. We had a pretty good idea where it would be as we drew near but the first searchers came up empty handed. As the stragglers arrived someone spotted something glinting in the evening light. Ah ha, there you are! TFTC.
Out caching with HotWheelsDuo, K8nCo, Mr and Mrs Herbz, GreenGeckoes and Pigwig. Great multi. TFTC!
Enjoyed this little multi completed with roaming gypsy and roaminraven . Showed them their first multi. Took down the wrong answers at first and a quick check at questions 2 realised where we went wrong. Once we had the correct co ords quickly spotted what the hint suggested. Was able to make a quick find whilst the others were wondering around trying to work out their gps's. Wasnt able to completely wrote on l9g due to muggles sittle on the deck having brinch and someone fishing. Will try again later before leaving tomorrow
First multi and found it. Messed the co ords up first time and had to retrack, but found it . With livetotrek.
Love simple multis like these as the kids can get actively involved in solving the puzzle. TFTC
Visiting my sister on Stradebroke Island, which I, if possible, use to do every year, I also would log some Caches and this was one of them, and as my sister lives near by, this was a nice walk. #624 - 10.00
Did it with 3miceblind, the geokids and newbies 2b2c good fun for all great view
Find No: 5017. Visiting from Newcastle, staying at Adder Rock, had fun with this having two newbies with us, almost gave up at GZ but suddenly spotted the little guy, thanks for the cache DRML!!
This was my first multicache. Enjoyed seeing the tiny library. Nice view at cache. Tftc!
Back on the island for the weekend and another chance to fix a previous DNF here. Late on Saturday afternoon , I revisited the waypoints and redid the calculations. They took me to the same spot as last time, though the GPS was jumping around. Only there were muggles a plenty here this afternoon, so no search was possible, though it was nice to watch the sunset.
This morning I returned to find the location thankfully quiet. A thorough search of likely spots (same as last time) yielded nothing. So I expanded my search area and thought outside the square a little with regards to the hint.
With no success, I returned to my original plan and search areas. I must have disturbed the very well hidden container on my first search, as it was just visible this time. Returned it to its sneaky spot once I had signed.
A nice multi and an excellent location for final. Many thanks DRML. Alway nice to correct a DNF.
