#18965. Day 7 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. A travelling day today between Loxton and Blanchetown. Quite a few caches collected along the way and after lunch we did a quick run of the Riddlers Rooka Rampage and JLWE Series. A total of 50 finds for the day.

Always like visiting these old cemeteries. This one is quite small but there are some rather large new graves here and some getting ready for future customers. Took quite a while before we located the cache but all was good here.

Thanks Hurtle

Day seven of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
Another traveling day - Loxton to Blanchetown. Overcast but mild day.
Picked up a few caches on the way, and the completed the JLWE and Riddlers series.

I didn't realise the cache was in a cemetery, we approached from the wrong direction obviously.
Thanks, Robmc.

Caching has fallen by the wayside with everything that has been going on, work, lockdowns, blah, blah...so we needed to get away for a bit of R&R after lockdown so headed to Loch Luna for the weekend to refresh and cache! Today we packed up and headed home clearing out a few caches on the way. A quick find here...So frustrating to find that morons have placed food and bottle caps in the cache. WHO in their right mind think these are acceptable Swag?? Removed 3 caps and a biscuit and binned. TFTC

As I am getting older and running out of time, I have decided I will take off on my own to cache in different areas of our vast country as my NGW (Non Geocaching Wife) has no interest in caching.
I have been in Loxton for five days of full on caching with suscoe, au.fait and Phetlern but suscoe and Phetlern have hit the road for home so that leaves only au.fait & the ageing Bushfire to head out to do the wandering heroes Fishy Tales and a few other caches.
I am afraid that for the next few days my logs are going to be a lot of cutting and pasting but that does not take away the effort that the owners have put in to provide these caches for us to find so please accept my thanks. With close to 200 caches placed I know how much work is involved with not only placing them but the ongoing maintenance.
Very cold morning but we kept plodding on cache after cache until the day warmed up.
Thanks, Hurtle for placing this cache.

14-Mar-20
Another well kept cemetery Both Phetlern and Suscoe headed for home early this morning so Bushfire and I headed off to see if we could land a very big fish. We were very successful at this, much more so than catching those wet and slippery ones. We were so successful that we also had time to find many more caches around the district too. Another great day with the ever helpful Bushfire even if I did nearly freeze early in a bitingly cold wind I have much to thank him for as he provided the vehicle, did all the driving, provided fruit cake, and a big warm jacket which saved my life, to say nothing of his good company TFTC Hurtle

After leaving Waikerie and going a bit east again. this was a stop we made along the way. Found the way on with ilook4geo and followed the GPS and soon found what we wanted. Cache was tight and securely in place, with no interested neighbours. Log was signed with both names and we quietly left and went on our way again. Thanks to Hurtle for placing this cache.

Out with Snap Happy and Happy Feet today grabbing a few caches around Renmark and it's surrounds and we had decided to have lunch at Lake Bonney and we found this cache while on our way there. We managed to make a quick find with this one and continued on our way exploring the area. Thanks Hurtle for the cache.

24-Sep-18
In Renmark for a family holiday for the week. After heading out for a drive and doing some wine tasting with the rest of the family, Happy pants, Snap Happy and myself headed back to camp via a few caches. We discovered some good hides and had no DNF's. There was plenty of laughs and fun had, along the way.

We are making plenty of memories on the murray of our own, over these few days holidays, thankfully none of these types. Took the wrong way in but made a quick find, once at GZ. Then proceeded to read all the headstones, looking for our own family history.

I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Thanks Hurtle for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Mr Beetle waited in the van while I wandered over to get this one. Love doing cemetery caches on my own as I can linger longer. On the way noticed an old grave of a 25 year and her baby. How great are the developments in medicine since the olden days????
At GZ the cache was quickly spotted and retrieved but then quickly dropped on the ground. I don't know who was more frightened, the great big spider on it or me? He scurried off but will probably make his way back to his home.
Thanks.
