Found it with Zac. Amazing spot! Took uw a while to find but go there in the end.
Found on 28/1. Great day for a walk around this area. The cache is getting a bit damp again. Sealed it up as best I could. TFTC.
Unable to sign as log resembled a sea slug. Have sent photo to cache owner. This cache has not fared well in the wet.
But thanks to acmoose for bringing us here to ride along the trail to appreciate the transition from cows, coal, cows, electricity back to wetlands

Well camouflaged and well hidden- clues like ‘dig a bit deeper’ definitely helped. Was at the first place we looked at yet had to come back to search again as no other places to hide the cache were as obvious and off the GPS mark. Tftc ️
Hmmm...dont think its here...shone a torch up the geo spot and very empty...every rock upturned... tried another spot where it could be magnetic...but no find there either...hmmm?
Wasn't sure if this was gonna be a "needle in a haystack" type of cache but after walking back to the track I got a better GPS reading what a relief signed and replaced...TFTC
Out on my own enjoying whist enjoying another traditional Easter away with family and friends. First time I have been to this part of neck of the woods. Very impressed how it has been left. Excellent camo. I believe that this deserves a higher rating.. I really enjoyed the curly walk. Thanks for bringing me here and placing this excellent cache,
Quite a stroll to this cache from the car. It is 10 months since the last time it was logged and time had blended it into the environment so it took a lot of finding. The log was slightly damp but otherwise ok. It dried out quite a lot after a few minutes in the sun and breeze. Also there was a a very large Red-back spider guarding the cache but it passed on. TFTC.

On my trip down to Wonthaggi for the day to go out and pick up some unloved caches and do some other caches that are very convenient for me to grab, as I walk past them haha. This was one of those caches that I just happened to walk past, even so I would like to thank you for the cache and the amazing place you have taken me to today. Will continue on to try to get closer to the no1 spot in this months unloved challenge.

After 8.5 months this log has finally seen daylight. Looked in most obvious place first then spent 15 looking elsewhere, then back to first place. Dig a bit deeper and what's this? The log. TFTC
Found with Phetlern on an enjoyable although windy ride around the area. The area seemed to pick up even more at this point and I was glad to head back to the cars after this one.

After the excitement of the Grand Prix at 'Champion Of The Night', night cache we were still revved up for a bike ride in Eco Reserve this morning, in the good company of Alansee. Our final stop, the cache was soon in handed - a little larger than we expected, making it a quick find.
Our thanks to acmoose for bringing us to this location.

[Green]With some time off work for the holiday season I teamed up with Square Pegs to head east of Melbourne to the cache rich Wonthaggi area where I found this cache in good condition. The published co-ords had us somewhere else but we eventually found it a short time later in the obvious location. This is also where we decided to call it a day. The flies here were getting ferocious and were like a black haze of horrible-ness so we bolted. I've never seen a fly plague so bad before.
Thanks acmoose

We made our way through this section of the reserve, seemingly accumulating more and more flies as we went. I had just sprayed on a fresh batch of insect repellant but it was seemingly useless. As we made our way back our arms were getting a good workout as the waving was approaching a fever pitch. Getting back to the car we decided to make this our final for the day, and enjoyed the luxurious air conditioning as we headed back off up the highway.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
This was our last Eco Reserve cache on a cold, windy afternoon of walking. It was while doing this one that an idea came to us re the second cache in the series we had attempted and failed to find. Our GPS was some metres out for each cache and on returning to the second cache an appropriate adjustment to GZ assisted us greatly in making a find. Thanks acmoose for the cache and a reason to walk much of the environs of the desal plant on such a winter's day.
It had been a few weeks since I had been out caching so I set aside today to head out for my next caching adventure. The forecast was for late afternoon showers but the rest of the day was fine and sunny, and this proved to be the case. I had a great day with 31 finds, 1 DNF, and fun bike ride around the desalination plant at Wonthaggi and some challenging dune climbing along Williamson's Beach.
I had the bike with me today so while I was down this way thought I'd tackle the Eco Reserve caches around the desalination plant. It was pretty tough going with a constant strong wind blowing but I really enjoyed riding to each location to find each of the caches. There were some really nice hides and a couple did take me a while to eventually find. I was actually a little surprised at how well the area had been developed with some really nice landscaping and the viewing platform.
A fav for me here for the series. Thanks acmoose.

I'm down in the area today for work so started the day with some caching. Walked in thru the reserve. TFTC SL
We were surprised at how exposed to weather the area is. Fortunately it was warm today, but tough riding into the wind. Another cache found in good condition. Thanks acmoose
Found by Mary & David at 0940. Unloaded the eBike at the car park and set off for this cache. Spotted a tiny visual clue at GZ Further investigation revealed the cache itself. Our thanks to acmoose.
I had never walked on this side of the Desal Reserve and it was absolutely lovely. I saw a large group of kangaroos and many birds plus a spectacular sunset. Oh and I found the cache.
Found at 1:30 PM GAFF1 in the company of Geoge. We were looking for something different amongst the rocks - ie a fake rock, but on further and deeper investigation, a micro/small was found.
So much work has been done around here!
Thanks acmoose.
Feedback: It is not a nano - it is verging on a small.

25/09/2014 3.10pm - 1st for the day - with dgfb33. Rain threatened but didn't & wind was a bit chilly, but made quite a quick find.
With ceebee2013. A very cold wind spoiling things a bit for my repeat attempt. TFTC.
Found @ 8:13pm, find # 3521.
Out on another caching run, this time on a Saturday with biggles1024.
The main purpose for this run was to pick up a letterbox cache, a D/T and find a night cache, everything else was a bonus.
After finishing the nearby trail, we set our sights on this little series.
There was certainly a bit of walking involved around this series, I would have been great to have a bike to get around on.
Another round about walk to GZ, once there, there was nothing to find so we move a little further along the path to an area that could hide a cache, after a little search I finally found one in this series.
Thanks to acmoose for placing this cache and series.

Find #1465
Out for a caching run with Stemicmitsar on Saturday instead of our usual Friday night run. We headed to Wonthaggi to grab a Letterbox and also add to our D/T ratings.
This cache series brought us to an interesting reverse that I didn't know existed. That is one of the great things about geocaching. Bicycles would have been ideal here as the tracks are very accommodating, but we can't transport our bikes at present.
This was the last cache in the series we attempted tonight. With no obvious route to number 2 and needing to get to a recently published night cache we had to make this the last. By the time we'd walked back to the car we'd walked over 6 kms.
SL TFTC We will return to complete this series as soon as time permits.

Found quickly with frmen1. Had been looking at getting this for the last few weeks, but there have been gardeners working the site. TFTC
Spent a long time here on the wrong side of the pipe, and was about to give up but decided to have one more look. And there it was, thanks again acmoose for the series, and the exercise on the pushie
As a result of the wet weather yesterday we had to leave this one, however we came back today with kmps and on our initial search did not make the find. We were then graciously joined by Graling and the discovery was made. Thanks acmoose.
With all the rain the water was across the track in some places ,nearly needed a snorkel and goggles to get this one. A nice walk with Graling and TheGGGs with the sun trying to shine. Thanks acmoose FTC.

Returned without You Can Do It 2 to this area after a cup of tea and re-inflated tyre, unhooked bike and proceeded to GZ. GPS was indicating a fairly large area which contained very many possibilities for a camo nano, rain was threatening and my body said it had had enough punishment so after about a quarter hour I gave it up for another time.

The paths around Desalination Plant forming this Eco Reserve do give an appreciation of the really good use of the land. Some of the ponds were dry. Dunko and I enjoyed the 8Km ride and collecting the caches along the way. Many thanks to acmoose for the caching fun.
It was late in the afternoon and on the spur of the moment we decided to check out the caches laid around the desalination plant. This reserve was much better than I had expected and is worth a look. All in all Slink1 and myself rode about 8km. Thanks to the CO for the caches. TNLN SL
Found with ornursie79, jacoowi and giggles75. Enjoying the circuit that I never knew existed. Will look great when the vegetation grows a bit more.
