Dropping it here for them to grab.

A big thank you to Team Robins for a great night. The first time to the CIJ event. Thank you.
I had a most enjoyable four days in the Stanthorpe area attending The Christmas in July arranged by TeamRobins. I meet a lot of great Caching people who attended from many different locations, and found a great number of Caches in the company of several of those people, with a lot of fun along the way.
We attended and what a great time we had also. It was cold at night, warm during the day and the days were clear and blue. What great weather......
This event owes its existence to the generous spirit of Team Robins, Chris and Ian. They have it at their home, invite everyone to come and camp in their grounds and provide lots of goodies for everyone to enjoy and enjoy it we do. Caching all day leads to socialising at night and that is what happens. We all join together and enjoy the social side of geocaching over a meal and drinks each night until we crash into bed and do it all over again the next day. And what a great bunch of people to do it with.
It was special to meet all the new cachers we hadn't met before and also re-connect with cachers we had met before in a social environment and discuss mainly geocaching.
Enormous thanks to Chris and Ian and hope we meet lots of you again at another geo-event.

We eventually arrived at the Robins place. Delayed due to caching and visiting wineries. Thanks for the cuppa Team Robins
Out on a very enjoyable afternoon caching loop with HotWheelsDuo and K8'n'CO. Great company, perfect weather, great caches and no DNFs - who could ask for more? Bahahahaha. Perfect cache perfect name - fave point from us. Thank you for placing this one
Better late than never! We finally got to the Robin's Nest on Sunday. We had been unavoidably delayed by the need to find caches and sample wine (it's tough but somebody has to do it). Great to catch up with the Robins and those die hard cachers who were still there. Thanks for the cuppa Team Robins
Arrived at 4 pm on the Friday afternoon and left at 6.30 pm on the Sunday afternoon. A great weekend indeed. A new record for the no. of finds in one day 25! AND we found our 1000th cache (only taken over 7 years to do this!). Thanks Team Robins for letting us camp on your property. We enjoyed the cold icy weather. Kids will be talking about this weekend for a long time to come. Thanks to everyone who organised the Chikins big and small had a great time!
Many thanks for all who attended our Event. It was great once again to be able to open Robins' Nest to our annual winter Christmas Event and be able to invite so many like minded cachers. The weather was very kind to us, even though it is a bit windy today. Once again thanks to all those who attended, it so nice to meet so many newbies to the game and the returning die hards.

Yet another wonderful event hosted by Team Robins. This time they even organised perfect weather, (although the temperature was a little nippy). There was also an amazing full moon which we watched as it rose up with an awesome orange glow. We always enjoy this event and it's great to catch up with so many cachers both friends and newbies. The geomuts, Louie and Paul, had lots of fun too. Thanks to Gaz'n'Kab as well for all their imput. TFTC.
This was our 1st Xmas in July we have celebrated at the Robins Nest.
There was quiet a gathering here with cachers from a couple of different states in attendance, along with a few small children , dogs & 1 muggle that I knew of.
The food was plentiful, the wine & beer flowed..
There were 3 FTF draws & raffles won by the fortunate few.
We had just a wonderful time, as we always do when visiting here.
Thanks for the hospitality Team Robins & Gaz'n'Kab

Another great event put on by Team Robbins
Thanks again for organising it all...
Good to catch up with everyone again

A pleasure to attend yet another "Christmas in the middle of the year" Event at Team Robins' place. For me it was a 3-day weekend with loads of caching, great company, lots of good cheer, plenty of great food, old friends, new ones, an all together entertaining time. Thanks yet again for holding such a great event for us all, Team Robins.
Second time for IolantheK and I at the "Christmas in July" event hosted by Team Robins [^] felt very welcomed [^]
Met up with some old and new faces and indulged in good food and some caching fun [^]

Attended: #1237 at 15:00 with MissGeosie and MissSuzie on our Big Stanthorpe Adventure Weekend.
Well, this gathering was of course the reason we were in town. We'd spent all day out caching, and now it was time for the main event, so to speak.
I don't even need a map or a GPS to find my way in here anymore. We arrived to find things well under way already.
I had barely made it out of the car before receiving a huge hug from Chris. The Robins hospitality is legendary. Great to see you guys again! [^]
Sadly Palopinto had prior commitments and was unable to attend -- this was the first Christmas in July event we've been to without her. But the kids settled right in and enjoyed sitting by the warm fires in the cool afternoon air and watching the dogs play, as I wandered around chatting to old friends and new.
I even managed to snap photos of several previously unseen trackable cars, giving me at last what I require to log a find on a challenge cache I've been working on for over a year! [^]
As the sun fell, and the "supermoon" rose, the temperatures plummeted. The fires did a great job of keeping everyone toasty and the conversation and the food was plentiful and enjoyable.
Not wanting the kids to turn into pumpkins (or, worse, screaming terrors) we left sometime just before 8pm. I could have stayed all night.
As always, thanks for the hospitality and the event, Team Robins and Friends. We look forward to seeing you all at the Mega in a few months time -- if not before!

As everyone has already stated it was another great weekend with perfect weather and good company.
The usual outstanding welcome by Team Robins with plenty of great food and tall stories to keep us warm on the chilly nights. Heaps of new and old faces if somewhat hidden under beanies and hats.
Thanks to all involved for a great event.

Thanks to all involved for a great event.
What a great reason to head out to the high country and camp in the middle of winter. Thanks to all involved for a well organised event.
The moon rise was spectacular. I spent 3 nights camping at Giraween and had a ball. Lots of great caches to find, amazing scenery and the days were perfect for hiking.
Looking forward to another visit in the warmer months

With plenty of good cheer, warm food, heaters and non stop chatter with old friends and new, the cold weather couldn't dampen our spirits one iota. Thanks to Team Robins for yet another wonderful event.
Great event!
I arrived on Friday just after dark to find a dozen tents/vans already in place. I quickly put my small tent up tossed in the 2 sleeping bags and my doona - what else was I going to need. Grabbed a bottle and headed for the fires. And then it was on.
I met a few new characters - Mother Theresa really!
I ate well - thanks for the deserts
I cached a lot - thanks for the company Have A Chat and Just a Trifle
I slept well considering my pillow turned to concrete with the cool weather.
I left my TB's behind - a cunning plan for a return trip
Thanks Gaz'n'Kab for putting the on and Team Robins for hosting us all.

This was my first major geocaching event, and I had a wonderful time I cannot speak highly enough of the warmth and generosity of the hosts, Ian and Chris. As a newbie, I could have potentially felt like an outsider. But I felt looked-after and included right from the beginning.
It was dinner time Friday night when I arrived. I wandered into the dining area and said loudly "This is the geocachers, right?" This got a laugh and reassurances that no, I hadn't crashed someone's 50th birthday party by accident. I was greeted with hugs from Ian and Chris when they saw me, and had friendly conversations with various people gathered around.
On Saturday I went caching with JFindit, my 'neighbour' in the orchard, and then we returned for the FTF draws. I could feel the excitement amongst the people gathered. The lucky winners took off and the rest of us huddled deeper into our winter woollies and drank plonk and conversed about all things geocaching. Afternoon turned to evening and when the moon first cleared the horizon, it was pink. Then it was time for soup, the best pumpkin soup I've ever tasted. Dinner naturally followed, great company and conversation which funnily enough, always seemed to concentrate in the toasty areas... The gas heater and the wood braziers, they were awesome.
On Sunday I went caching with Team Herbz. A lovely drive, caching around the countryside, and a visit to an estate where we had cheese and coffee. Then it was back to the Robins Nest for another enjoyable dinner meal.
It was a pleasure to spend time with fellow geocachers and get to know some of you. I now know why Team Robins events are so highly regarded. Many thanks to Gaz'n'Kab also for their efforts in organising this. I'll look forward to seeing you all again in the future

Most geocaching events are a pretty straight-forward and simple ordeal. A bunch of folk turn up to the local park or pub, do what geocachers do best for a few hours, then go home. Never does such a thing happen at The Robins Nest where we stayed for 3 nights and others a few more.
Another year and so another Christmas in July is inevitable. Thanks to Team Robins and Gaz'n'Kab for putting this one together. Once I spotted the icon on my map, I knew I'd be coming along, there aren't many geocaches left for me to find in the area, but I knew we'd fill our time easily in this magnificent part of the world.
Net88 and I headed down together, late on Friday evening. The shorts and shirts of Brisbane were not going to quite cut it here, but in the dark we threw up our tent, piled on the winter woolies and joined the early crowd. Saturday came and after some official Mega business and a find or two, I again layered up for a cold night on the Granite Belt, surrounded by many friendly folk. As always it was great to chat to all a matter of attendees, old friends you only see occasionally and of course forge new friendships.
I was very happy to nab one of the FTF draws and once that was done and the night wore on, drinks were had, delicious food was consumed, hospitality experienced and all round, a great time had!
Sunday saw some scouting for new geocaches, then Monday some meetings around the area for more Mega business. I always enjoy these events and am constantly impressed by the hospitality of Team Robins - not to be under appreciated in the slightest. I had a magnificent weekend, the only downside being my memory foam pillow at such low temperatures becomes more like a brick than bedding TFTE Gaz'n'Kab and Friends (oh why can't we favourite events!?)

A great thanks to the organisers and a big thank you to Team Robbins! Wonderful time with wonderful people.
Finally made it to one of Team Robins famous Christmas in July event. It lived up to all we heard about previous CIJ events. It was nice to catch up with old and new geocaching friends. A good time was held by all I think. if not, well we certainly had a good time. Thanks Team Robins for all your hard work and warm hospitality.
Another fantastic event in Stanthorpe at the Robin's place.
I arrived Friday afternoon and eventually left Monday morning.
Great to catch up friends, meet some names I have seen and meet new cachers as well.
Hopefully see everyone again at the MEGA Event next Easter.

Well Team Robins another fantastic event, Great to catch up with old faces and meet new ones. As they say the dream goes on thanks for all the effort that went into the event.
I was still inbound t the event when my phone rang... Err, why aren;t you here yet came the question from Kaisho53... They're about to draw the FTFs.. Hmm, I'm half an hour away I indicated thinking it was a 4pm kick off...
I arrived to find a good crowd had gathered and a great atmosphere already set in... I etched my name in the log and was advised to add my name to the FTF draw also. Oh, you waited, that's very kind of you I said, as I slipped my bit of paper into the box... No joy though, the three FTFs were secured but no Gunnie name to be heard... Typical...
The event festivities continued and as usual, TR had gone to great lengths to make it another successful CIJ. Although I never did find the elves... [?] Banter, food, drink, laughter, lack of sleep, chilly weather, more food, great company... Just what the Doctor ordered really.
As with most events these days, the number of new faces is ever increasing and it was great to meet some new comers to the game, even if I was twisting their arm to part with their money and grab a Walk For Life Pathtag...
Thanks to Gaz'n'Kab for their organisation and Team Robins for their hospitality. You can never be cold with some a warm welcome...
Cheers guys, I look forward to the next.

Alkzura and I haven't missed a Christmas in July event and this was no exception. We love coming down to Stanthorpe, we love the caching and we love the people, especially Team Robins.
Big groups of people and places away from home are usually quite a challenge for our two Fragile X kiddies, but they both love it here at casa Team Robins, so our biggest problem was trying to curb their enthusiasm. In the end we had to head home early because the baby was tired, and didn't get to mix much, but we enjoyed the hospitality while we were there.
Thanks for a wonderful event as always!

I talked to a girl that had a black hat. Me and a boy and girl were playing peek-a-boo. And what else... we played dinosaurs, and they had Christmas hats on. What else? It was cold. And the fire was hot. I wanted to see snow, but I saw frost instead. And I ate cereal. And for breakfast, I ate some more cereal! I got some sausages inside bread, but I didn't want the bread. I wanted hotdog for dinner too. Bye bye cache! Thank you for the event.

After doing some cache maintenance and finding some caches we headed back to be with the group at the Christmas in July event at Team Robin's Nest. What a wonderful welcome we all received. The effort they put into making their home welcoming to one and all is incredible. Thank you Team Robins for all that effort. It has been greatly appreciated. Thanks too to Gaz'n'Kab for publishing the event so that we could all get together. A wonderful time was had by all. [^][^]

We stayed in a hotel room. I had a candy cane. Aunty Ny was there. I played with Merryn. Merryn and I found rocks and a shell. And there were four dogs. It was at Ian and Chris's house. It was cold. I had my jumper. I stayed near the fire. We saw a full moon with a rabbit inside, and I thought the moon was a pancake rolling through town. Thank you for the event.
I'm sorry to say I'm not able to make it after all. Managed my second fall off my bike the other day (yes while caching) and have torn? a tendon in my shoulder. Great difficulty doing anything with my r/hand. Have a great w/end and hope it's not tooo cold.
[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Gaz'n'Kab and Team Robins. We attended your event "Christmas in July - Stanthorpe 2014" at around 2:30:00 PM today. This was our 21st cache find in a caching run of 21 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9206.)

We have been looking forward to this event for quite some time. We have had a great time already, in the pre-event festivities, and are looking forward to meeting old friends, and making lots of new ones.

Thanks for running the event today,

Astro is there in spirit. Keep warm. If you are cold, Ian has a brew that will warm you up. However, don't plan on caching the following morning!
Clear skies!!
Clear skies!!
Thanks for another wonderful event at Robins Nest, we had such a lovely time chatting to everyone and sampling everyone's goodies. Even though Stanthorpe turned on some super cold weather for us, the atmosphere was anything but, and when it did turn chilly, the hot soups and potato bake kept things warm. We got to meet new puppies, see new caravans, find new caches and of course, make new friends, all of which made it a thoroughly enjoyable time. TFTC, Team Robins and Friends. =^.^=

This was my first Christmas in July, my first cache on the Granite Belt and the first time in years I have caught up with the hosts of the event. Enjoyed the day in the cool air and the night in the cold air. Thanks to Team Robins as the host and Gaz'nKab as the CO.
Antother great event in Stanthorpe. the weather was cool and the fires raging.
Naturally Team Robins turned out a great event and made us all very welcome as usual.
Left a few TB's and collected a few too.
made some new caching buddies and learnt even more about how to use my caching app and gps. never too old to learn.

Enjoyed meeting and catching up with catchers. Thanks for a great event Team Robins.
As far as "successful" goes - one could say this Event was indeed successful
Sweet_bee and I rocked up in the morning to take care of some business. Before we knew it, the Event was starting to be in full swing.
This was my 3rd "Christmas in July" at Team Robins' abode. (There have been other Events though, mind you). Many new faces.. and many familiar ones as well. It was great to mix with all and sundry. Sadly I didn't get to talk to everyone.
What a great turnout, and warm hospitality. Congratulations to those who won prizes (I was one - but Sweet_bee has scarpered off with it already ) Many thanks to La Kedi who eyed off bringing in desserts - and all the others that made very tasty food for all. Thanks to Team Robins for letting us borrow a square of their lawn for our tent.
And TFTE, Gaz'n'Kab - another enjoyable outing into the wine country

We plan on attending (just have to keep our fingers crossed our daughter doesn't choose that weekend to come and visit!). Plan on coming up with our camper on the Friday - looking forward to catching up with everyone.
Friday afternoon I finished work and headed to the Captain's secret lair to grab him and his camping gear before heading down to Stanthorpe. We arrived to see a bunch of friendly faces and after putting up our tent it was time for the festivities to start.
I had a great time over the weekend, I met a few new cachers, caught up with some old friends and had lots of pats and cuddles with some four legged friends. I took the chance to find a few caches since I was in the area and found a few spots to place one or two.
As usual it was a wonderful time and I am looking forward to the next one. Thanks for the event Team Robins, your hospitality is rivaled by none. Thanks for doing up the cache page Gaz'n'Kab.

Unfortunately we can not make it . Yesterday, Mrs Temingi's 96yo mother was taken to hospital. Know you'll all have a great time.
seems the weather has turned nasty down there, not sure I want to return now to have mornings with frozen water and days not much warmer! I enjoyed the warmer climate of our Northern caches.
How ever I have missed you Team Robins so I will consider carefully the weather, whether I will return tomorrow or not that and school starts Monday and so does work.

We are a bit disappointed, but we will not be able to make it now as Cat is not recovering as well as expected from her knee replacement operation.
Hope it all goes well, but please don't have too much of a good time - that would be just too much to bare

Paul, our new geomut behaved himself very well at the weekend on his first caravan experience so we're all set to be there, Mr. and Mrs. Herbz + 2 geomuts. We'll be bringing the caravan. We are ao looking forward to this event, our favourite event of the year! Thanks Team Robins and Gaz'n'Kab.
Roster good So we will be there. Will be staying offsite, but will be there for the BBQ. There will be 2 of us.
Looking forward to meeting up with some new and old Geocaching mates.

Whoops! Forgot to log my attendance! I'll be there, and The Marble and I are staying in Stanthorpe in a nice, warm hotel, with a heater . See you soon!
I was not aware of this event until reading some information this morning, I would very much like to attend this event. So please put my name on your list, I would plan to arrive on Friday morning and
probably stay for Monday.
I have my Camper trailer for accommodation, just need a patch of grass to set up on.
It should not be any colder there than here in Uralla where I live, we had minus 7 one night last week.
Regards, Bob.

Well it's been sometime since we've been able to do any caching, but baby number 3 is now 6 months old and we never miss an event in Stanthorpe. See you all there!
I spoke to Team Robins on the phone today, just to introduce myself and make sure I wasn't RSVPing too late. I'm new to geocaching (two months) and this is my first major geocaching event, so I'm really looking forward to it
I'm just a onesie, and will 'camp' onsite (ie. sleep in my car, a little Suzuki hatchback, won't take up much room).
Thanks Team Robins, and Gaz'n'Kab. It will be great to meet you all

Thanking you and will be attending. Been to Stanthorpe a few times but never in winter.
The plan is to come down Friday, during the day.
None of this night driving again (after last year)
See you in daylight hours.

Only just managed to get coverage for my oncall roster for that weekend, so I'm now free to attend!
Just need to work out how much cold weather gear is still viable for the kids
One adult, two kids, staying offsite (Unfortunately, Palopinto has a conflicting commitment that weekend and won't be able to join us. )
Looking forward to the warm fires once again..... [^]

Nearly time to head down for another weekend of caching and fun at the Robins nest. Just confirming my attendence and requesting a patch of ground for the tent. Arriving friday afternoon. Thanks team Robins
Shook the mothballs out of the COLD weather gear and there aren't too many holes in it , so yes we're coming. Looking fwd to catching up with some and meeting some new cachers. A spot for our campervan would be great. I'd like to bring some warm weather with us but we won't have room.Sorry.
Hi guys, we have been adjusting other things and well,we are really looking forward to our first ever event. Staying elsewhere but will get there early enough to satisfy my pyromaniac tentancies. LoL!
Catch you there!
Catch you there!
Looking forward to our first event at "The Summit", we have heard so much about the previous ones that it is definitely on our calendar.
We would like to park or van at Robins Nest please - and will probably arrive quite early and will be able to help set-up etc as required.

We have been able to change our travelling plans to make it to this event. We always enjoy out time at the Robin's Nest. Hope there is room to park our caravan in a spot in the yard.
Cheers & see you all soon.
Cheers & see you all soon.
I'll be trying my best to pencil in a visit (first even geocache trip to the area)
Mr & Mrs Eatmorchikin and the two little chickens (Eloise 4 and Lincoln 3 as of tomorrow) are planning on coming. Can we please have a spot for our tent. We will bring our own water. Don't worry about catering for Mrs or the little chickens, we are fussy vegetarians / vegans so will ensure we have our own food. We will bring a salad to share - lucky we have a fridge in the ute. Mr Eatmorchikin will eat anything so count him in. Thanks for the invite. It sounds like fun!
Don't know how I haven't seen this before? I just happen to be kid free this week-end so I'll be there with bells on. Well, maybe not bells, but...... then again............? Can I grab a spot for a tent? Doesn't have to be close if the noise of bells annoys you.
Was in Stanthorpe in January and it only got to 19 on the last day. In July ??? Will be there but will make other arrangements for accommodation.
We would love to attend as we have had a wonderful experience in May last year at Ian & Chris's place with Team Crackers and The Drovers.
We will see if we can work it out as we need to be in Yeppoon in June and then in Melbourne for a very special birthday by 23 July!

You know it's cold in Stanthorpe in July... Guess I'll just have to throw an extra layer or two on, or join Mr Robins in a scotch or two... Count me in...
I'll be there, perhaps not with bells and whistles but definitely with warm winter woollies. I'll bring La Kedi along too.
It appears I have that weekend free, which is great. Always happy to for an excuse to drop in to stanthorpe.
