We are on a caravanning trip around Australia and called into Port Moorowie on our way to Mozzie flats. Went for a walk along the waterfront collecting the caches. We didn't see any sealife besides what one fisherman was catching. A nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache

The JAMS (JJ52, allister w, mogni, sir_spectre) crew went on a Yorkes Adventure. There were a few targets for the weekend, including finishing the fishing line, hosting a CITO, clearing a few DNF's and just having some fun.
All caches were left better than we found them.
Thanks

26-Aug-23
Another weekend away with the JAMS team heading over to Yorkes to finally complete the fishing line along with other random caches that one or another of us had not found. It was a fun couple of days, Saturday was cold and windy along the coast but Sunday was a lovely sunny day with no wind, perfect for caching. After completing the fishing line...yay! we headed towards the coast and picked up a few caches around Port Moorowie before winding our way to Edithburgh where we stayed the night. Sunday morning we drove around Edithburgh then walked from there to Coobowie. After finishing there we headed to Wool Bay to avenge a couple of previous DNF's. Then it was lunch in Stansbury before heading to the CITO near Kulpara. A great weekend and lots of different caches found. Cool

After the previous three caches we continued on to get this little series as well.

Thanks for the cache Go Vans. Smile

Quick find.
Out with the JAMS crew for a weekend down the York's. The JAMS members along this weekend were JJ52, Allister w, Mogni and Sir_spectre. We came to finish off the last of the finish line for all of us and then goto a CITO event i was hosting near Kalpara. JJ52 and Allister W were target some certain cache types for the hard sounvier online bage. After Finishing the fishing line geoart we cached along the coast to Edithburgh and still only got to Edithburgh for dinner. Saturday was a cooler day for power trailing and only 1 snake was sighted, sunday started off cold but soon turned in to nice caching weather. We stopped for lunch in Stansbury on the way home.

This weekend is a mental health/selfish/me time weekend.
Headed to YP to do as I please which of course meant geocaching.
My plan was to ‘finish’ fishing . It and the geoart will be almost finished bar avenging some prior dnfs.
Was also keen to find some multis and visit a few places I haven’t been to before.
Mission accomplished in my happy place for the day. Only 2 dnfs. Sadly the Pies lost their Prelim final but we love to fight another day. Stansbury was a revelation to me the pub was brilliant.
All up around 130 found for the day.
Grandma definitely has a lovely view it was glorious here today TFTC

We enjoyed a lovely sunny, cool day caching around Port Moorowie.
This seems like a town with lots of community pride which is evident in the beautiful coastal walk and foreshore gardens.

Many thanks for the hide Go Vans

We are having a short getaway at Sultana Point and decided on a road trip to Port Moorowie for an explore and some caching. Neither of us has been here before.
It took a minute or two of sitting on Grandma's seat to look around and decide on the most likely spot for the hide.
Sure enough, the cache was in hand, stamped and off to the next one.
Thanks for the cache/s Go Vans.

A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well

With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.

Thanks for the cache

After a long morning on the Fishy Trail, I needed to slow down a bit. I decided to head to Port Moorowie to grab a few caches around the town.

I searched for a good 10 mins in between the odd muggle walking by. I had given up and was walking away when the CO stopped by to say g’day. I was given a big shove in the right direction and the cache was found.

It was nice to meet CO and have a quick Geo-chat.

Thanks for the cache Go Vans.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.

Left our overnight camp at Price to head down the big boot, stopping here cos there was a cache that caught my eye. GRANDMA'S View. Yup, thats one for me.

Windy here today, but POP found the cache. Thanks Go Vans

On a day if arctic blustery conditions we set out to cache! Well why not? Better than sitting snuggled up in a camper all day. Looks like it won't be long before the cliff erosion akes care of grandma's view. Thankfully today we had a quick soot as our eye was in. Tftc

Facing yet another day of an extreme heatwave, so we slowed down the caching hunt for the day, along with ilook4geo.
It was much appreciated when we found a cache near shade where the signing could be done in a bit more comfort. Only did a short run around Warooka and Yorketown, picking up a few of the caches available. Thanks go to Go Vans for placing this cache, which was easily found and whose log was duly noted with two more initials.

Phew! Another stinker of a day! Still went out caching with goingplaces2, but put less on the list. It was just too hot to be a lot of fun. Had a good hunt and came up with the goods here. TFTC.

Off down the Yorke for a few days with Purrfect Di, Jack, Sebastbat, muggle Alex and Chloe the geodog (cat's crazy staff).
Celebrating Di and Matty's birthdays with a few scenic caches.
Found this cache along the way.

Thanks for the view grandma.

With the wind eased right off this morning the only issue might be rain today, but even then that should only be passing light showers.
So we are back out chasing caches again!
This time we are again heading south from Edithburgh but inland towards Port Moorowie. Very interesting countryside, all the lakes that randomly pop up add to the character of the surrounds.
What a peaceful view today after yesterday’s wind. With the flowers in bloom makes for a beautiful location.
Best wishes to Grandma.

We have commenced Part 2 of our holiday. Part 1 was Easter at Morisset and we came home to sort out some family business. Now we are heading to South Australia instead.

We spent last night at Edithburgh and today we had a snorkel/scuba under the jetty and then headed off for a scenic drive finding caches as they popped up.

Today we explored Port Moorowie to Foul Bay and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. A great series and enjoyed the walk around the foreshore and ending up with an easy find at GZ. This one has just escaped the collapsing of the water front bank!

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

No spiders were spotted today but the cache hide reminded us of when we have travelled to the islands and how the ladies stick combs and other items in their tightly curled hair.

First we must appologise for the generic logs.

We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.

We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.

When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

Hi there Go Vans.

We found your cache **"Grandma's View"** at 9:46:00 AM today.
This was our 2nd find for the day and this makes our find count 13729.

The sun was out today - a great day for caching, so our cache run today started at a random one near our camp site in Yorketown. We then navigated to the one the GPS said was next closest etc, & ended up finding 15 & DNFing 1 today.

Unfortunately the day didn't turn out as planned, a kangaroo jumped out and broke our LH headlight, which to replace would normally cost a bit over $2k (so the quote says). Sad[:(!]Twisted Luckily the insurance excess isn't anywhere near that. WinkSmileBig Grin

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

We visited some lovely locations, & picked up a good variety of caches on our travels

Added our names to names to the logs, and it was off to the next one.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Go Vans, for us and others to find.

Staying at Yorketown and headed out with The Drovers to cache the area to Port Moorowie, Edithburgh & Coobowie then return. We found a variety of caches along the way and this was one of them.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Off to YP for the weekend with muggle partner and Brodie and what an interesting weekend it was!
Luckily yesterday's rain had almost blown away and the day was much nicer today: windy at times but clearer and nice and cool after all our recent heat Cool
We said Hi to Ozibags in the morning as he had been in the room next to us, then we headed out caching prior to returning to the hotel for tonight's tea event.
After tea, Goodlook, Ozibags and I went out and did some night caching as you do! Wink
Overall I had 4 DNFs Sad (but 2 of those were later found), 1 event attended Cool and 25 Smile cache finds today.

This was the quickest find of this whole series of caches. Walked up and immediately saw the cache... if only the rest had been this quick!

Day six of the short holiday with Bettyboo3747.
A very strong South-Easterly has been blowing, so we took the car and travelled in the wind along the South coast. Down to the lighthouse, across to Port Moorowie, then completed the loop back through Yorketown for supplies for the next few days, and home to Point Sultana.
I hope Grandma has some ropes to lash herself to the seat, otherwise I doubt she would have been there very long with this wind!
No trouble with falling off the cliffs as I reckon you would be blown back up.
Very cute hide, we were to see more of these as we headed further into the Port.
Thanks, Robmc.

24-Aug-15
8762. The south-easterlies were still blowing strongly this morning so we packed our warmest gear and headed for a drive along the coast and back through Yorketown gathering caches along the way. The wind wanted to blow the pom-poms clean off the top of my hat - it gets pretty wild around here!

We really liked this hide - I like bold, blatant hides like this. I presume no muggle will ever notice it. There was no seat-sitting by us today - too rugged for me!

Thanks. Go Vans

After doing the Fishy Tale caches the week before and had such a great time on the peninsula, we see there are many caches scattered all over the place so we decided to spend a couple of days here cleaning up all the caches here, many roads were travelled with some awesome views along the coastline, the weather was just right for us and along the way we saw quite a few sleepy lizards but no snakes, we look forward to getting the other caches on the peninsula as it is such a beautiful spot here.
