A plan was formed recently to camp at Oakey over the October long weekend (due to Ekka being postponed) and tackle the art and a number of fun puzzles in the vicinity. The call went out to a few others we enjoy travelling with and the solving began! Lots of back and forth between members and we finally had a full set a few days out from the trip.

The roads were wet and muddy but that isn't going to stop a group of dedicated geocachers on a mission! The rain held off which we were grateful for however chunks of mud were often shaken off shoes before returning to cars and moving on to the next one.

As is always the case when caching with others there were many laughs and a great time had by all. Always a great sense of achievement when you've been working through a project over a number of weeks.

Thankyou for placing and arranging this series for our enjoyment. The fields and flowers were in bloom. Birds a plenty enjoying the roadside water sources. The scenery was refreshing. Always enjoy a taste of the countryside. Logs signed as Team Grav (as in Gravel assault!)

On my way home from the QOGM and continuing my outback adventures. Today it was leaving Goondiwindi heading up the Gore Highway to Toowoomba and then a slight detour to Highfields area before a straight drive home to Brisbane. I had a list of caches to collect and places to see, some oldies and some for a grid position.

Next on the list was this one and a nice drive around the streets here today. With a title like this one I was not sure what to expect or I would find, truly some nice views of the area. Thank you for the hide and bringing me along to this area, all good with this one. With the log signed and cache replaced as found I was off to grab another in the area.

12-Dec-20
After sleeping in the Ute last night. A early start to our caching day. We solve the letterbox last night Selva Girls pick me up at woollies we found 30 caches and 1 Adventure Lab. The break down was 23 traditional, 5 mystery, multi, letterbox and 5 waypoints for the Adventure lab. So the finds count was 35. All caches were found all good condition.
Then I drove back to Brisbane in the afternoon. And pickup one in Brisbane.

I reckon there should be a special Terrain rating for long grass. But scooted over to GZ and could see a tiny bit of blue poking out. Figured that was part of the tardis and, yup, there’s the cache

Easy find here and this cache is all good.

100 Puzzles in a day - the final frontier. To boldly go where no Prime has gone before. With Fangsoki, 1MinnieMoo, Crew153 and myself we had reassembled the Starship Enterprise and were now into the afternoon session. A quick park and find for our group.

Thanks 4tardis for entertaining me at this location.

11/1/20 Find #3258
A trip to Toowoomba with Fangsoki, PPrime and Crew153. The main target was the series of SSE puzzles, but once we had done those, we found we still had quite some time left over, so we added a few more to the afternoon agenda.
Fangsoki found and retrieved this one while we tried to navigate the troublesome vegetation here.
Thanks for the cache 4tardis.

Gentle cache owner, please forgive my generic log Twisted

Pprime, Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo and I undertook to get a large amount of caches in one day. We did this in the the Toowoomba region - starting with Brother Colin's SSE series. After returning to Brisbane, 1MinnieMoo and I continued to find caches until late.

We enjoyed all the caches and appreciate the effort of creating and maintaining the various finds we made. TFTC Smile

Had to bring a friend to Toowoomba for a 'day operation' and so I thought to myself -
'Stay in the hospital and wait [?] or go and find a few caches' Big Grin

Glad I decided to do this one in winter and not summer when there could be a 'friend' hiding in this type of area.
But a nice easy find.

All Good .. TFTC .. Smile

**Smilie #5206**

We decided today would be a great day for another trip to Toowoomba & surrounding areas.
So many caches out here still need converting to smilies! LOL ...

Arrived at GZ, looked about & began to wonder why the compass wanted us over 'there' if this was only a 1.5/1.5 rated cache.
Deciding to trust the compass I climbed the 4 foot high dirt mound, waded through the almost waste high grass (listening for hissing or rustling sounds) & headed where the compass dictated.
Fortunately a quick find followed.
I'm still not convinced this is a 1.5 terrain cache but then that's not my decision! Smile
All good with the cache.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

08-Aug-16
We did debate a little the idea of skipping this one, as it was not exactly on the way, however, in the end a complete set was the order of the day, or as complete as it can be with a couple already archived.

This one actually seems lucky to survive, recently having the side of the road fixed up a bit and the nearby telegraph pole looks like there was work done as well. Anyway a little look and the cache was soon being signed and replaced.

08-Aug-16
The second Tardis one for the day but a bit out of the way. Still could not miss any that were here as some were already archived. This one did not find long to locate and we soon added our names to the log and put the cache back where we found it. TFTC 4tardis

After a big morning out around town on the geocycle I had retired to the geomobile for a few finds this afternoon.

I was very happy to see the Doctor and his T.A.R.D.I.S. on my travels. I also saw a buggy being drawn by two beautiful horses.

Made it worth while indeed.

After the last lot of long grass we decided to skip this one. Better to be safe then sorry. Hopefully it's mowed next time we get up here so we can complete the trail.

01-Jan-16
Really long grass that nobody wanted to walk through, so didn't even try. Will be back.

We turned around here to retrace our steps (& have go at one we skipped on the way here). Despite another wade through long grass we found this one easily, plus we found a good spot to park the monster. So we were one happy Gallifreyan & one ecstatic human - what more need be said?

This is the first cache in the TARDIS trail that we followed today ( went slightly out of order). The grass on the roadside was rather long but after a short talk about whether there would be snakes or not - we went for it Smile The cache was nicely hidden and in good order, Thanks for the cache!

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there 4tardis. We found your cache "The TARDIS Trail - No.2 Skaro" at 10:35:00 AM today.
This was our 8th cache find in a caching run of 15 Finds & 1 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9519.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached. With this cache the total now stands at 227 Days.

Another day traipsing around the countryside, dodging roadworks and listening to the GPS telling us to take roads that don't exist. Maybe it's time to update the maps in the trusty Garmin. Big Grin

Please excuse our boilerplate logs. It's not really a good excuse, but it is often really difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. Wink
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Dropped Trackable: "Indigenous Utopia"
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I have not been caching in a serious sense since early May. Back in the saddle yesterday and it was after 1600 when I arrived in Toowoomba so drove home via a few on the New England Highway.

Back today and started with the Cooby Dam lot that are available. Now having completed those ten I will try and get as many of these as I can. I found #8 yesterday on my way home. Could not stop for numbers 4 and 7 due to the continuing roadworks. Arrived at GZ and had a quick find. TFTC 4tardis

07-Jul-14
Today we did a full day of caching in Toowoomba region. From the town region & out to Cooby Dam.
All the caches we found were in good condition & some wonderfull & scenic locations.
We enjoyed our run doing the the Tardis Trail. Saw the Tardis close to close to number 4.
We were not able to do Tardis 4 & 7 because of the road works.
Thanks for placing this cache 4tardis

With Mrs R-F away and me almost out of groceries it was off to town to some shopping and what better way to do that but cache my way into town.
This was another nice easy find on the way in.

The co-ords were good, the hide, the log and the container are all in good nick.
