Reperio 15:47Day 3 of our Wagga Wagga trip, and Master Vitruvius and I started the day out with a FTF, followed by a drive out to Uranquinty and The Rock. Mostly every cache was found in good condition, and for the third day in a row, had a fantastic day out caching. I'm in Wagga for a couple of days visiting family but can always find time for caching. A great place for a walk and a quick find today. TFTC
Found by Aussie Train Driver 20/05/2024, find number 1775.Third find for the afternoon, enjoying the beautiful late Autumn weather around Wagga. Plenty of hiding spots around here, fortunately I located the cache quickly! Thanks for the cache.
Wagga >Day 2 staying at Wilks ParkWe had our car booked in for a service. Bill road his bike to a few & I walked the rest.A nice wat to visit the town. Thanks bennysumm for hiding this cache.
GPS had me do a loop 60m out before it finally settled on the hide. Short search and a fight with the ants and i had it in hand
Found on a cloudy day for a drive before the rain arrives. No muggles here today.A quick find and off again. Thanks bennysumm.
Today we explored Wagga Wagga and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. We enjoyed travelling through the countryside and visiting new, to us, locations. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
Found It!
I searched the wrong log to start with, but then moved onto the right one and found the cache!

Found the cache 10 m from were it is meant to be, log is soaking wet, have out the cache back at the coordinates, TFTF beautiful area to park and go for a walk
No luck today. Possible it’s not here after to find fir 12 months. For a D rating of 1.5 with a clear hint it should be right there. GPS took me to both logs so not sure which was the correct one coming from the car park.
OMG. One more quick look after posting the DNF at the spot I started my search about 20 mins ago and it was on the ground. Either my searching moved it or it was on the ground already…popped it back into its spot. Phew! SL at 12:05pm.
Came to Wagga Wagga with Tankengine initially to attend an event or two, but due to unforeseen circumstances the events were cancelled. But we thought why not come anyway, there are so many caches here we have to pick up and there will be plenty more the next time we come back when the events are live again.
This cache: Not sure about the T rating and the CO must be a whole lot shorter than I am. Tftc bennysumm!!!

Chooo ooo [found] with dty73! We had planned to come here for the weekend as there were two Celebration events on! Sadly they were cancelled, but we decided to come anyway! Nice quick find here. But definitely not a T3 ! T2 at best. Thanks bennysumm!
Found it! Our first! Didn’t have a pen and the paper was damp inside so we left it. Great spot.
#5884.
We had to bring the car in for a service today and decided to find a couple of caches whilst in the area. This was the first for the day. I had to get my feet wet (due to the dew on the grass) to get to this one. I "barked up the wrong tree" at first, but soon found the correct spot. TFTC!

Looked in just about every possible hide location and was in the last spot I planned to search. A good hide and in good condition. Thanks!
Spent a little time inspecting the wrong object before moving to the right one and making the quick find. Pen had expired so signed my name with a piece of charcoal. TFTC bennysumm
A trip to wagga brought us in town again to do medical stuff so after completing the necessary task for the doctor it was time to do a cache for the day so a quick look at the app brought us to the boat launcing are in the reserve and an easy find of this cache.
A log by another name would be half a tree this one would be a nice piece of tree and the cache was soon in hand after signing the log on of my least favourite cache containers however made the mark on the page and returned it to where it was collected from and we left it all alone.
Thanks for placing the cache bennysumm.

Found while on trip to Melbourne after air show at Temora great area around here
The cache container is now a tablet bottle, but this did not hinder us in the finding of the cache. SL TFTC
After our three week trip through South Australia and Tasmania, which ended in Sydney, We stayed with friends in Wagga Wagga for a couple of days.
Today we were dropped by our muggler friends, to have a nice walk along the Murrumbidgee river where we could also find some caches.
Because of the ongoing work we had to make a little detour, but finally caught up with the intended route. We did need some time before this onde was found.
bennysumm, many thanks for this cache.

A fantastic area so close to town. Lucky people who live here. Thanks for bringing me here or I would never have discovered it TFTC bennysumm
#3235 I found the cache quicker than I expected. By the way, its not a film canister. Cheers from Canberra. TFTC bennysumm.
Our electronics had us looking in the wrong place for a while, until we expanded the search area and found it. Nice area! Thanks bennysumm
Approached GZ , now which log do we target ? Eventually found the right one and had the cache in our hands . Thanks bennysumm .
We agree that this is a nice area with plenty to do here but today we were here for the CITO and with this one being so close there was no way we were going to leave without trying our luck. We headed off with a small group and once at gz with this many eyes looking the cache was a nice quick find and we all happily added our names to the log before heading back to the sausage sizzle prepared by Fred6603.
Thanks bennysumm for the cache.
Thanks bennysumm for the cache.
We were in the area for the CITO event so took the opportunity to grab this cache with a few other teams from the event.

Down by the river doing the CITO event for 2018, this one was not faraway so venture over with others here and found it. T4TC
T4TC - We were attending the nearby CITO event so with a few other teams from the event off we set to track it down.
TFTC. We had been out finalising the Wagga Bridge series. Being close we thought we would check out the location of tomortow’s CITO and at the same time have a look for this cache. As it turned out a quick find , although we did have a look at the other log first.
In all the years visiting Wagga Wagga I thought I knew all the parks and reserves. This was a real surprise Wagga’s own river side boat ramp. At GZ I found the log, which was as big as a boat. The coordinates were spot on making locating the cache easier, thanks.

I had the strangest urge last night to go for a long caching road trip this weekend. As soon as I woke up this morning I packed the necessities and prepared a coffee before heading to Wagga Wagga.
I've only cached there once before, but with others who had already poached most of the area. This time I got to choose!
However the long drive lead me by others which I had to sparingly choose only a few as it delayed my arrival to my destination.
A long day that I capped my find total at 100 finds. Tommorow I hope to get just as many on the way home.
Thanks for the caches.

In shorts and thongs today so took the advice & approached from the oval. Looked directly at the hide but didn’t spot the camo. After circling the entire log, had a better look and uncovered the cache.
Spotted a beautiful old tree on my return to the geomobile.

We are bag in Tumut again for another short visit to family and today we are on our way to Wagga with grandson Bill for his swimming lesson.
We still had few hours to spare after searching for some caches in the middle of town and having some lunch so headed down to the river area to check it out and see what caches were there.
This one required a short walk from the parking area through some lengthy grass to reach GZ. We found a few inevitable grass seeds en route that had to be removed form our grandson's socks before we began the search. We walked all around the object discovering a dumped bike in very poor condition before deciding on a likely location.
It was good choice as our grandson soon retrieved the well-hidden cache. He loves to search for 'treasures' and examine the contents.

Having set up camp in Wilks Park in preparation for an appointment tomorrow morning, I set out after lunch to discover 6 caches in the nearby Wetlands. This was on the way, sort of, and was a good quick find. After signing duties were completed I continued on my walk towards the wetlands.

Hi there bennysumm.
We cached around Wagga today - and found your cache **"Log Ahoy!"** at 11:24:00 AM. (This brings our total find count to 17971).
We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey & found 8 caches (& DNF'd 1).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stroll around the area today. The plaques along the path provided us with a very interesting commentary. Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Needed to use the facilities before heading home so thought this would be my last one in Wagga. Was slower than needed as I left the pen in the car - otherwise a quick find - TFTC
I enjoyed a day caching around Wagga Wagga. I stopped to log quite a few of caches, including this one. Thanks for the hide.

Out and about with our friends Suscoe, on a fine Friday for fun, with some frustrations and a few favourites as we endeavoured to replace some more of the green dots on our Wagga Wagga map with smiley face tokens. We chose the wrong type of log initially - moving along the cache was soon in hand.
Satellites today had our GZ 7 metres north of where we found the cache.
Thanks bennysumm for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe was up and going this morning out on a day of cache hunting around the Wagga Wagga city area.
Another cold night but a beaut sunny day followed and we had a terrific day caching with our good friends: Phetlern.
We travelled around the city and found some really interesting locations and sights.
Thanks to bennysumm for this hide, took a look or two before we got to the right spot.

Good find while holidaying around the area today.
Had a great time going from cache to cache.

On a overcast morning, headed out to hunt for a few caches in the Wagga Wagga area. This one was nearby so headed over. Should have put on the gumboots as although it wasn't muddy, the grass was wet and so were my shoes by the time we got to gz. It took a bit of searching to find, but success!! signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Very wet underfoot today. Ended up looking like I had been paddling in the river. Would be a neat spot on a sunny summer day.
Thank you bennysumm for placing this cache

10631. Found during a caching run down to the Wagga region this ANZAC Day long weekend.
Day 3 of my trip dawned and this was the next cache on my list. Parked nearby and walked in for this one. Some careful searching soon revealed the cache - very nice. Log was signed, cache returned and I headed off to the next one.
Thanks again bennysumm !

Found with DazRascal whilst we were in town for the CITO event and with this one being so close to the event we couldn't leave without having a go.
We struggled a bit more than we should here and thought it may have been burnt, but after having a proper look we came up trumps.
Many thanks for the cache.

Attended the very close by CITO event today and would be a shame not to pick up the cache whilst here.
Was surprised to see a tent set up nearby but couldn't see anyone around.
Missed the cache on the first sweep and thought it may have been in the recently burnt end of Gz, but luckily we found it safely tucked away on a second more thorough look.
TFTC, Cheers

After clelaning up the area and having a lovely BBQ lunch, thought we'd grab this nearby cache. The cache blindness had us poking about and still not find it, until Fred6603 came and helped enlighten us. We were concerned it may have perished in the very recent burn off activites, which were at the other end of the log.
Thanks bennysumm for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Found during a bike mounted assault on a few Wagga caches with the geo-crew. Wandered in the last few metres to GZ on foot whilst the rest of the crew elected to check out the mighty Murrumbidgee. Many thanks bennysunm
