This cache was attempted as part of the Palmerston North leg of our "Road to 6,000" Extravaganza for 2016.
First DNF of the day!

Tried our luck here on the way back home. Good spot for a cache, but could not find anything around. Must be very well camouflaged?
JimmyNZ and myself had a quick scour around here. Granted we were using a smartphone and it is notoriously inaccurate so we may have been led astray. Previous logs seemed to reveal that it is a unique sounding container - maybe a bit too unique for us and we couldnt find it.
A quick find on the way into town today. I had attempted this one ages ago with no luck. Today I found it with ease. Don't know how I missed this the first time. Very wet under foot, kind of wished I wore gumboots.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.

Chilly out today, but ventured out with grandcacher and soon had this little beauty in hand. Enjoyed watching several planes make a wind blown landing into the airport.
A nice little stop for us all to stretch out legs including the dog. A cute little container. Enjoying exploring Palmy. TFTC
A quick find for us on a day out geocaching. A clever hide in a nice spot to have a rest. TFTC
Doing a few caches with the boys during school holidays - starting to run out in our area so visiting other districts - nice quick find - tftc
I traveled down to Palmerston North for a 3 day geocaching weekend to give my numbers a bit of a boost, as I head towards my next caching milestone. I decided to fly there and back and pick up a cheap rental car for the weekend. The weather was perfect and I had a great weekend down there.
Today I joined forces with yorkshirekiwi83 for a full day of caching before an event in the city tonight. We picked up a few caches around the city first, then drove down towards Opiki collecting caches down some of the side roads as we went, then headed across to do the KAS Power Trail, before going up to do the caches around Ohakea then headed back to Palmerston North. Took a stroll across the park and quickly spotted this cute cache - TFTC, favourite point added!

Vistra and I headed down to Manawatu as the KAS trail has been bugging me in its incomplete form, as we both needed numbers for personal goals it seemed like a good opportunity. Thanks to the cache owners for all the caches and the variety, over 2 days I found over 200 caches, so thank you for placing and maintaining them.
Most were quick easy finds, although there were some very clever ones and some well thought out. TFTC

I really liked your cache! cool concept. Ummm, I'm sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but it may need a bit of maintenance - log safe, but the top of the container is missing... I did search around for it for maybe 10min to see if it was somewhere close, but had to leave to go catch my flight home.
Heading home from PN but wanted to grab a few handy caches as I did so as this was handy i had to make a stop. Got to what I thought may be GZ to find GPSr poiting me further on so followed that to find a nice wee cache wandering about. Had to take second look before I grabbed it and signed the log. Again, thanks for the placement Z1mbos, nice camo.
Clever hide no stress finding this one and great to see a couple of air craft takeoff while we were there
Saw where gz was and put away the gpsr.....
Wasn't in the geo-obvious location so turned the device on again.
Cache found and log dry, neat thing jesserfly liked it.
Cheers

Nearly gave up as the ground was so boggy but decided to check one last spot and there it was! The girls enjoyed this one. TFTC
After completing the Rotorua Tough Guys & Girls Challenge in the weekend and then having to drive south for work on sunday this was going to be one of those very long weeks. So without rest and having to do presentations all day to a number of different groups today I managed to get ahead of things and make time for myself to find a few caches before the night set in.
This was the first of the afternoon so made it all the better as could get some local caches now and worry about work later on, but now its caching time.
Have been out to the country tonight so now its time to find a few aound the edge of town before heading back to do some more work
Thanks for the placement and the fun

Miss 3yo was excited to see a couple of planes land while I searched the area. Flag still flying. If not for previous logs i may have missed finding this one. TFTC
Our first road trip souvenir and it's a long road trip for us. All the way from HK! We are NZ for a few weeks and arrived at the airport and this was on our hit list as it had the required number of favourite points! And after finding it we can see why. Awesome cache. TFTC.

Braved the flooding in Palmy today to get this cache for the 2015 roadtrip. I didn't sign the log because I didn't want to get the log book wet in the rain but can provide evidence of visit if owner wants me to. I am awarding a fp for a cool hide. Tftc
Dropped off muggle husband at Airport and then went for a little geocaching tour with my son Godispojken. This is an awesome place to watch planes take off and land! It took us a while to find the cahce, but the hide was awesome!!! TFTC
Fabulous day for a hunt! Great day for pirates; had a great wee hide! Had a lovely time & fab wee stash! Thanks for the cache!
Awesome. No pirates in site but the flag was flying still. Love the cache. Both the Jr's favorite one so far. TFTC
Another well-executed Z1mbos hide... Very cute! Thanks for the fun on this fabulous, sunny day
Had to be wary of pirate muggles as we saw their flag flying near by.
Didn't spot what we were looking for at first - probably too distracted by the planes coming & going, but knew what it was when we did finally lay eyes on it.
A nicely set up hide. Thanks Z1mbos

Easy find, was in a real obvious spot not sure if this was meant to be hidden in the way we found.
Found it! Nice job! Very cool cache. Wasn't sure what to think when I first saw it!! thanks again!
I almost gave up twice on this cache - once because I wasn't looking properly, and once because I couldn't get the log book out but I got there in the end. A good hide. TFTC
Lovely sunny day in Palmy and a few last caches to find this year to hit 500. Great camo...cache easily found but log hard to extract...got it eventually. Tftc
Excellent nano cache - at first my phone GPS was well off, but eventually zeroed in on it

Caching some Manawatu spots on a not so favourable Labour weekend Sunday.
Happy to make a quick find on this one. Nifty cache eh! Good one.
Retired to the nearby seat to do the honours and watched an Air NZ ATR-72 take off. Wiggling and wobbling about in the stiff westerly. You could almost say we were muggled by a plane load of muggles.
Cache in order, log signed; safely re-hidden then, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

#5825. Excellent hide. It appeared the neighbours across the road knew about the cache. When we returned to the car after finding it, they came out and kindly asked us if we were playing this game, and if so, "it's over there". TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found it but didn't have a tool to get log paper out! This has been Mr 4's fav so far!
Caching at night always adds an element of difficulty when trying to spot something with a torch without attracting undue attention. Totally missed the cache on first look due to the clever camouflage, however the GPSr insisted that the location was the correct GZ and with a second look I was somewhat surprised, to have missed it earlier... Nice hide and worthy of a FP. TFTC.
Out on my bike - good to lean it here and there to cover my searching. Another excellent and unexpected Z1mbos hide. All quiet at the airport at this time, but certainly this is a good place to watch the planes.
Returning from Christchurch at midday decided to try some of the caches near the airport. I didn't bank on a bitter wind and the huge amount of water lying on the ground but found five caches with not too much trouble , all had good coordinates and some were really original.
Great cache and container well worth a favourite. look forward to the rest of the series. great to see a variety of containers and cached well presented. TFTC

[green] Had to take Etherlord's car to drop a lawn edger around to my old house (awkward to take on a bike) so on the way back I snuk off here for a look see. As soon as I saw the cache hide I knew I had found the cache, given that I had found Elizabeth (Lizzy's) yesterday.
Just two unfound caches left in Palmerston North. I guess it is almost time for me to head back to Blenheim .
I almost bought exactly this thing for a cache I am about to place (is that a hint?) but decided to do it slightly differently. Glad I chose that now! (So maybe not so much a hint...)

Nice. Even better as a plane was landing when I was retrieving the container. TFTC
Found with JO_G just as a plane was taking to the skies. FP from me too

Gave me a start when I first spotted it...cool spot to watch the planes...felt a little exposed, lots of windows.
Did not check out that spot first at it looked liked private property. But eventually I trusted the GPS. Great 'container'. Thanks
Co ords were out for me so I was a little lost with this one at first. I was glad I had brought my geonose with me and soon I was signing the log. It was cool to see some planes take off nearby.

Enjoyed the cache camo. Did with Mycro Man, Wandering Dragons and the crew. T4TC
Cache # 1,871 - took a little bit of searching, but finally spotted the little bugger. Lovely cache, and very well done. Did with Crystal Fairy and gang. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Found today with The Wandering Dragons, Crystal Fairy, Mycro Man and Astro Hunter. Thanks!

Really cool hide! Found from the wrong side though so didn't get the full effect until I put it back where it was supposed to go. Nice touch, tftc
quickly found this thanks to having found several of these sorts of hides before. i'm enjoying the accurate coordinates and variety of well hidden cache containers around here. thanks Z1mbos.
This was another first for me, in terms of a cache container that is. It seems like a perfect place for it.
