We enjoyed several lovely days in this beautiful part of Australia. We walked, we paddled and we bird watched - and we did the earthcache and the traditional further up the track. A wonderful stay, not long enough. Thanks for the earthcache.

Found on Week 9 of my travels to northern Australia..
I travelled from Adelaide up to Cairns over 3 1/2 weeks on my own, then met up with FeatherWaite and another friend from Hobart and we spent another 3 weeks going up to the tip of Cape York and back. We then headed off on our separate ways home. I stayed in Cairns for a few days prior to heading back to Adelaide.
With the rather dynamic covid situation and the restrictions in place in terms of entry back into SA, I hadn’t really decided on my route home, although I decided to head west to keep the options of travelling home via the NT or via Birdsville. I was in no hurry!
Last year around this time I was a little further south and decided not to visit Lawn Hill as it was getting a bit too hot for me. So this year I made the diversion, this time from the north, and enjoyed a couple of days in the area, camping at Adels Grove.
This morning, while it was still reasonably cool, I did the walk along the creek to the Upper Gorge Lookout then returned on the inland track, visiting this cache along the way.
Thanks iamjuggles for an interesting earthcache in a beautiful area.

Made my way out to Adels Grove / Lawn Hill NP on my trip through Western Queensland and to eventually make it to the Gulf.
A fantastic spot out here and I did the walk one day then a boat ride and a swim out to here the next day.
The water was refreshing and great to swim up to the mini waterfalls.
A fantastic spot to come and relax.
Answer sent to the CO.
A fav goes out to you for showing me this fantastic spot.
Thanks jimulligan TFTEC.

After we set up camp at Adels Grove we headed up to Lawn Hill for the day, got started near GZ with some information and gathered the rest as we walked to the Falls.

We were not as stunned as everyone else seems to be. Maybe it is too dry this year or there were too many people around. We liked the botanik walk the most, although it doesn't teach you anything. Kanoeing over budget, should buy a pump up one, so we didn't stay another day.

We camp here a few days and do the walks TFTC. We have sent the answers, it's our first earthcache
What a beautiful spot. I have sent my answers and hope they are ok. I sent my answers via email because I tried to send a message but it just would not work.
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
We did the upper gorge walk early in the morning (thankfully, it was way too hot by lunchtime!) before refreshing at Indarri Falls and making it a loop. Very unique and beautiful place to visit, well worth the 1000km detour we took on the way home . TFTEC.
With Fangsoki and Crew153 in the mighty Canyonero, we hit the outback in search of the oldest and finest Queensland has to offer. 6000+ kms in 8 days - an epic journey. Day four and we are here. Coming up from Camooweal it was a long, rough ride and whilst an interesting scenic drive, the fun of the dirt road was wearing a little thin. But here we are. Safe, a little rattled, but all OK. We've been admiring the stark bare landscape all morning, and more recently the looming rocky mountain range that we've now driven up and over to this parking spot.
And a short walk later we were in front of the exact opposite. Cool, luscious oasis of waters and flows and plants (and people) - such unexpectedness. Truly, you gotta see it to believe it. What a great place.
Thanks jimulligan for bringing me to this location. Answers sent.

When Fangsoki and Pprime (P') mentioned about a road trip to get the old caches in outback Queensland I jumped at the chance to see some of our great country. The 8 day tour covered some 6,000km and a day on a boat in the Whitsundays. I wouldn't have missed the adventure for the world.
Our journey had brought us to Lawn Hill for the Comet cache and this EC was in the area so we decided to find the required information for it.
This area is so spectacular. It is a pity that we didn't have time to check out the other trails in the gorge.
Pprime (P') has forwarded answers for the three of us.

Crew 153, Pprime, and I were at Lawn Hill grabbing the old cache. We thought it would be plain rude not to grab the earthcache while we were here.
This was a stunning area - and very unexpected. But its geology certainly tells a story. We enjoyed collecting our answers.

What a great place in absolute silence. Worth to spend a night and enjoy the ride on the e-boat and making a hike around the plateau. TFTC
This is just the most magic place. It has been on our bucket list for 20 years and has not disappointed. Answers stumbled to CO for Weebindi and myself. TFTC.
Came out today on a tour from Adel's Grove. We did the boat tour and had time to walk up to the falls and find the nearby trad.
Thanks for this great Earthcache.
Thanks for this great Earthcache.
Lawn Hill is truly an awesome place to visit. We enjoyed all of the hikes, which even though it was quite warm, had some spectacular views from the top of the gorge. Mr A also enjoyed a paddle through the gorge the next day, which gives you a whole new perspective of the height of the towering gorge walls. We enjoyed gathering the information required for this EC and in doing so, learnt some more about the area.
What a great area, on our bucket list for awhile now, wow is it hot after coming from a cold/wet winter in Horsham, vic. TFTC
We found this cache this morning after what seemed a long walk in the Queensland Sun. What a delightful spot...hadn't realised bathers would have been a good idea! Never mind, we enjoyed finding the answers to these questions in this cool spot. TFTC way out here! Answers have been sent to the owners.
Detour around Australia- family of 6 in a camper trailer for 6 months!
Lawn hill was on our 'must do' list as we travelled as it's been on the radar of places to visit for many years - and we weren't disappointed!! Spent a wonderful 5 nights at Adel's Grove and enjoyed all the hikes, the solar powered boat trip and swimming in the falls and gorge and river! The hike to the upper gorge lookout was just fabulous and it was on our return trip that we stopped for a swim at the falls and then collected the 2 caches in the area as well. All in all it was just the best day of hiking (just over 10km) and swimming which we thoroughly enjoyed (even the littlest 4yearold!)
Thanks so much for placing an earthcache here!

Hi there iamjuggles - we visited this earthcache today and found it to be a difficult though very rewarding walk for me to locate all the answers for this cache (answers have been sent in to the CO). I walked the 'high road' to get to Indarri Falls then the 'low road' to return. A pleasant round trip in any case. This is my find #4895 - thanks to iamjuggles for the Earthcache.
Found whilst on the 2017 #gnomehome adventure around the Australian continent. thanks for the cache and thanks for bringing us here.
Found at 1:25 PM GAFF1.
Staying a couple of nights in Lawn Hill so we went for a stroll along the track to Indarri Falls and then had a swim amongst the fish. Got under the falls and found that the cascading water was quite soothing
Thanks iamjuggles.

We went to Lawn Hill a while ago but we took enough pictures and my memory is that far gone that I couldn't answer the questions.
One of the best places we have camped as there weren't that many people there.

On the hunt with Redmond, had a great afternoon here paddling the gorge, visiting the falls, and of course finding a cache! Thanks!
One of the most spectacular spots you can canoe and walk around exploring. Both levels are worth doing if you have the time. The camp ground and other travelers were great, and it was good to meet a few others that had spotted crocs up the road and told some possibly real stories. No crocs spotted here!
Everyone should canoe this place once! [^]
The pics say so much more than my log here............ enjoy.
Clear skies to jimulligan from TeamAstro. Answers emailed.

We spent 4 nights at Adels Grove and loved visiting this beautiful area. The gorge is spectacular and we swam at Indarri Falls and canoed up the gorge. We have had Lawn Hill on our bucket list of places to visit and we weren't disappointed. Thanks for creating this earthcache and giving us an insight into its formation.
